Ships That Defined My Life (And Left Me Emotionally Unstable)

✧ Or: How fictional couples destroyed my sanity, and I am grateful for it.

If there’s one thing that has made me laugh, cry, freak out, and question all my life choices, it’s my intense and emotionally draining relationship with certain ships. They’re not just fictional couples. They’re transcendent experiences.

They are the ones that: ⟶ Made me binge-read 300,000 words of fanfiction like it was my soul’s thesis. ⟶ Turned mere two-second eye contact into an epic romance. ⟶ Forced me to create theories worthy of an academic dissertation just to prove it was real. ⟶ Threw me into online battles where I defended my ship like a lawyer with no degree but plenty of conviction.

I have experienced the pain of shipping a couple that only existed in subtext, I have celebrated insignificant scenes as if they were grand declarations of love, and I have fooled myself into thinking, “This time, it’s going to happen” (spoiler: it didn’t).

And even though I know this is an emotional rollercoaster with no brakes, I’m still here. Because the truth is, there’s nothing more addictive than watching two characters who were made for each other meet, challenge each other, and (maybe) fall in love.

So, welcome to my favorite collective delusion. Here is my love letter (and pure suffering) to the ships that defined my existence.

Alec Lightwood x Magnus Bane (Malec – Shadowhunters)

☙ Or: "When an immortal warlock and a Shadowhunter rewrote LGBTQ+ representation on TV."

If there’s one couple that didn’t just deliver an iconic romance but also changed the game for LGBTQ+ representation on TV, it’s Malec. They weren’t just an engaging ship within Shadowhunters – they were a milestone. Every scene, every glance, every moment of growth was a masterpiece of chemistry, emotion, and pure perfection. And what happened? I fell headfirst into this ship, and now there’s no way out.

☙ But why did this ship completely destroy me?

✦ Alec Lightwood’s journey: He starts the series completely repressed, deep in the closet, and about to marry out of duty. A perfect combo for an emotionally devastating character arc. And guess what? That’s exactly what happened.

✦ Magnus Bane’s grand entrance: Magnus arrives as a force of nature, powerful, confident, with a sharp smile and the gaze of someone who’s seen it all. Basically, he looks at Alec and says: "Sweetheart, no one here is dumb." And that’s it. Alec starts realizing that maybe hiding his sexuality is a bigger problem than he thought.

✦ THE WEDDING KISS: A moment so iconic that even non-shippers had to stand up and applaud. ⤷ Alec, about to say an emotionless “I do.” ⤷ Magnus arrives. ⤷ Absolute silence in the church. ⤷ KISS. ⤷ The universe explodes, my sanity vanishes, and Alec PUBLICLY chooses Magnus.

✦ A real relationship, with real challenges: Malec wasn’t just thrown on-screen to tick a representation box. They faced prejudice, internal conflicts, and deep dilemmas. Magnus is immortal, Alec is a Shadowhunter with a short and dangerous life. This added an insane level of drama and complexity because ETERNAL LOVE ISN’T AS SIMPLE AS IT SEEMS.

✦ Alec’s INSANE growth: He started as a rigid, fearful guy who avoided his feelings at all costs. He ended as a strong, determined leader, willing to fight against everyone for what he believes in – including his love for Magnus.

☙ But, of course, the show didn’t always handle Malec with the grandeur they deserved... and that’s where the fandom comes in!

If there’s a ship blessed by the gods of fanfiction, it’s Malec.

⇢ A sci-fi AU where Magnus is a legendary hacker and Alec a secret agent? On the shelf. ⇢ A royal alternate universe filled with political intrigue and eternal love oaths? Take it. ⇢ A 100-chapter slow burn where they spend 90% of the time exchanging intense glances and denying their feelings? Good luck escaping that rabbit hole.

The fandom never fails.

✦ Fangirling level: 💜💜💜💜💜 (Five hearts because I still haven’t recovered and don’t want to.)

Hannibal Lecter x Will Graham (Hannigram – Hannibal)

☙ Or: "If love means psychological manipulation and cooking human flesh for your beloved, then Hannigram is the most romantic couple in fiction."

Hannigram isn’t just a ship; it’s an intense psychological experience, a study in obsession, and definitive proof that true love transcends laws, morality, and the basic need for non-human cuisine.

If you started Hannibal thinking you’d watch a simple game of cat and mouse between a serial killer and an FBI investigator, at some point, you realized you were rooting for their relationship. And that moment was, officially, the point of no return.

☙ Iconic moments? You bet.

✦ Hannibal obsessively cooking for Will, even when Will suspected that the menu included a rather… exotic ingredient. ⤷ "If you love someone, cook for them," they say. Hannibal took this to a cosmic level.

✦ Will having metaphorical, homoerotic dreams but insisting it was just ‘psychological manipulation.’ ⤷ Buddy, please, accept your reality. You’re already emotionally married to this man.

✦ The final cliff scene. ⤷ A bloody embrace, a shared murder, and a dramatic fall into the ocean. ⤷ Shakespeare? Never wrote anything this intense.

✦ Will having countless opportunities to kill Hannibal but never going through with it. ⤷ Every episode, the FBI: "Will, please, just shoot him already." ⤷ Will: "But what if... we have an intimate moment first?"

☙ And when the show ended? The fandom took control.

If TV didn’t deliver the happy ending this couple clearly didn’t deserve, but we wanted, the fandom grabbed the wheel and drove way too far.

⇢ Modern AUs where Hannibal is an eccentric chef and Will a tired cop (as if that’s not almost canon). ⇢ Fanfics where they live happily as refined murder husbands, raising dogs and planning suspicious dinners. ⇢ 200k-word longfics exploring every single nuance of their twisted minds.

⤷ "But does the ship really need all this?" ⤷ The ship: YES. IT DOES.

✦ Fangirling level: 🍷🔪🔪🔪🔪 (Four knives and a fancy wine because this ship is pure luxury, tension, and cannibalism.)

Lan Wangji x Wei Wuxian (WangXian – Mo Dao Zu Shi)

☙ Or: "The art of suffering for 16 years for love and still making it worth it in the end."

If there’s a ship that redefines the concept of destined, eternal, and unwavering love, it’s WangXian.

Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian are literally soulmates—but not in an easy, fluffy way. No. They had to defy rules, traditions, entire clans, and even death itself to finally be together.

And in the end? Every second of suffering was worth it.

☙ Why did this ship destroy me?

✦ Lan Wangji fell in love at first sight. ⤷ Instantly, without warning, without wanting to, and with no way back. ⤷ Wei Wuxian showed up with that mischievous smile, chaotic energy at maximum, and that was it. Lan Wangji, who had never allowed himself to feel anything, felt everything all at once.

✦ Wei Wuxian spent his teenage years flirting without realizing it. ⤷ And Lan Wangji? Just standing there, gripping his sword and his self-control, suffering in silence. ⤷ "Lan Zhan, why are you always following me?" ⤷ Buddy… BUDDY…

✦ Wei Wuxian died, and Lan Wangji spent 16 YEARS in absolute mourning. ⤷ He refused to move on. He spent 16 years trapped in a ghost love, believing he would never see Wei Wuxian again. ⤷ Only for him to be the first one to recognize him when he returned.

✦ When Wei Wuxian finally came back, Lan Wangji abandoned everything to stand by his side. ⤷ He ignored the judgments, the looks, the rules. Nothing else mattered. ⤷ Because after losing Wei Wuxian once, he wasn’t going to make that mistake again.

✦ MUSIC. ⤷ They communicate through a melody only the two of them understand. ⤷ If staring deeply into each other’s eyes wasn’t enough, they just had to have their own theme song.

☙ The fandom? A full-on cult. If there’s a ship that inspires fanarts, fanfics, and collective meltdowns like no other, it’s WangXian.

⇢ Modern AUs where Lan Wangji is a serious CEO and Wei Wuxian is a sassy journalist? We got them. ⇢ Fanfics rewriting the 16 years of suffering, because NO ONE deserves to suffer that much? Also got them. ⇢ 10,000-word emotional analyses on how their song is the most romantic thing in fiction? Absolutely.

✦ Fangirling level: 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶 (Five magical harps because this ship is pure melody.)

Sherlock Holmes x John Watson (Johnlock – Sherlock)

☙ Or: "Two British bachelors living together, solving crimes, and pretending they’re just friends."

If there’s a ship that grabbed the fandom by the throat, sent everyone spiraling, and left behind an existential void that only 200k-word fanfics can fill, it’s Johnlock.

BBC gave us a Sherlock and Watson with explosive chemistry, subtext-loaded dialogues, and stares that could fuel a 50-chapter slow burn. They had it all—tension, tragedy, redemption, devotion, pain—and yet, we had to sit there and watch the script pretend it was just "friendship."

But we know the truth.

☙ Why did this ship destroy me?

✦ Sherlock literally jumped off a building to protect John. ⤷ Let’s go over this again: this man looked at the one person who truly mattered, said goodbye, and jumped. ⤷ And the worst part? He watched John grieve, because he couldn’t risk him being in danger. ⤷ Anyone else would have just disappeared, but Sherlock had to see John, had to make sure he was okay. ⤷ This isn’t just love. This is tragic, classic-literature-worthy love.

✦ "John Watson, you have been the best thing in my life." ⤷ The man who despises feelings, who says love is a weakness, who avoids emotional connections at all costs… ⤷ …suddenly drops this emotionally charged line and expects the fandom to just move on? ⤷ That wasn’t just a confession. That was a last-ditch effort to show John how much he meant to him. ⤷ And John’s response? Silence. As if he was absorbing the weight of what was just said.

✦ THE WEDDING. ⤷ Nothing was more painful than watching Sherlock, clearly in love, clearly devastated, standing there at John’s wedding. ⤷ When he started his speech, the entire world realized those could have been his wedding vows. ⤷ The speech was so emotional, so loaded with meaning, even Mary noticed what was happening. ⤷ But the most defining moment? When John said he didn’t know who could put up with him… ⤷ And Sherlock, for the first time, had no answer. Because he knew. He was the answer.

✦ The stares. ⤷ No one—absolutely no one—stares at their “best friend” the way Sherlock and John look at each other. ⤷ These stares are loaded with meaning, with unspoken words, with "I would die for you, and you know it." ⤷ Every single scene has at least five seconds of dramatic tension, where the camera focuses on one face, then the other, as if the world has stopped. ⤷ I’ve seen canon couples stare at each other with less intensity than these two.

✦ Homoerotic subtext in every scene. ⤷ If there were an award for the most subtext-heavy ship in history, Johnlock would win by a landslide. ⤷ We’re not talking about hints. We’re talking about entire scenes structured as if Sherlock and John were a couple—without ever saying it outright. ⤷ John constantly saying, "I’m not gay," but never denying that Sherlock could be an exception. ⤷ Sherlock being indifferent to the entire world, but feeling, reacting, and suffering whenever John is involved. ⤷ There was so much subtext the fandom started treating the ship as inevitable, as if it was only a matter of time before the show made it canon.

☙ And the fandom? This is where things get insane.

⇢ Sherlock-level conspiracy theories. The fandom crafted in-depth analyses, video essays, and full-on theories to prove Johnlock was real, including the legendary "The Lost Special" theory, where the BBC supposedly filmed a secret episode confirming the ship.

⇢ Fanfiction: the only absolute truth. When the show failed, the fandom took control. There are 200k-word fanfics exploring every emotional nuance of their relationship—from alternate universes to stories where Sherlock never died and John never married.

⇢ The alternate timeline where Johnlock happened. In the heart of the fandom, Sherlock and John ended up together, happy, solving crimes, and adopting a dog. And no one can convince me otherwise.

✦ Fangirling level: 📖📖📖📖📖 (Five books because the real ending only exists in fanfics.)

Derek Hale x Stiles Stilinski (Sterek – Teen Wolf)

☙ Or: "The big bad wolf and the sarcastic boy who never admitted what they really felt."

If there’s one ship that the fandom built with their own hands and turned into a phenomenon bigger than the actual show, it’s Sterek.

Teen Wolf may have ignored, underestimated, and even tried to erase this couple, but fans took every glance, every touch, every tension-filled argument, and turned it into a fanfiction empire.

The chemistry was undeniable. The dynamic was perfect. The chaos was real.

☙ Why did this ship destroy me?

✦ Stiles and Derek literally CAN’T STAY AWAY FROM EACH OTHER. ⤷ If one is in danger, the other magically appears to save them. ⤷ Derek could be living in the forest or missing, but if Stiles blinks in distress, he's there.

✦ The "grumpy and traumatized guy" x "chaotic and talkative guy" dynamic never fails. ⤷ Stiles is pure sarcasm and chaotic energy. ⤷ Derek is a walking bad mood with a tragic past. ⤷ The perfect balance of "I'll annoy you until you laugh" and "I'll protect you even if I won’t admit it."

✦ Derek grabbing Stiles by the collar, staring intensely, as if about to kiss him right there. ⤷ EVERYONE saw that scene. ⤷ EVERYONE felt the tension. ⤷ The only thing that stopped that kiss was the script (and MTV’s fear of making us happy).

✦ Stiles is always worried about Derek, even when he shouldn’t be. ⤷ Derek could be an invincible werewolf, but Stiles always found a way to step in and take care of him. ⤷ "Derek, are you okay?" – Stiles, a powerless human, trying to save a super-strong Alpha.

✦ Derek being Stiles' reluctant, involuntary protector, like a grumpy werewolf husband. ⤷ "I'm not your babysitter, Stiles." ⤷ Two minutes later: Derek shows up to save him for the thousandth time.

✦ Ridiculous chemistry—even the actors admitted it. ⤷ Dylan O'Brien and Tyler Hoechlin knew what they were doing. ⤷ The fandom knew it. ⤷ Everyone knew it.

☙ And the fandom?

⇢ Wrote fanfics so well-developed they could be full seasons of the show. ⇢ Took random scenes and turned them into pure romantic tension. ⇢ Made Sterek the biggest ship in Teen Wolf, EVEN without being canon.

Teen Wolf may be over, but Sterek lives on forever in the fandom’s heart.

✦ Fangirling level: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 (Five flames because this ship set the internet on fire.)

✦ Honorable Mentions (because I can’t control myself) ✦

The obsession has no limits, and neither does my ability to get attached to ships. So, before I start rereading fanfics for the thousandth time, here are some ships that deserve to be exalted, analyzed, and discussed like academic studies.

🔥 Sanji x Zoro (ZoSan – One Piece) 🏴‍☠️ "A lovers’ quarrel disguised as rivalry."

• They tease each other so much that even non-shippers notice. • The "I hate you, but if someone touches you, I’ll kill them" energy never fails. • Sexual tension disguised as sword fights. • The way they always know where the other is. • Constant bickering that’s actually just disguised respect.

Conclusion? They argue like an old married couple, and the fandom KNOWS IT.

😇 Crowley x Aziraphale (Ineffable Husbands – Good Omens) ☁️ "Millennia of romantic tension and longing looks."

• Crowley going through literal hell for Aziraphale. • The fandom realized the truth before the characters did. • They are so married they forgot to make it official. • "We’re not friends. We’re something more." – Oh, but that line hurt. • Crowley pretending to be cynical while clearly willing to die for that soft angel.

Romance and suffering levels? Absurd.

🎸 Geralt x Jaskier (The Witcher) 🧙 "Bard and Witcher – the definition of married without knowing it."

• Jaskier writing desperate love songs about Geralt. • "Toss a coin to your Witcher" = translation: "I love you, you ungrateful idiot." • The "married for years, but one of them hasn’t realized it yet" energy. • Geralt grumbling while clearly caring about Jaskier. • The fandom has decided: Geralt can run all he wants, but he belongs to Jaskier.

Top 5 Ships que Marcaram Minha Vida (e Me Fizeram Precisar de Terapia Fandom)

Se tem uma coisa que todo shipper sabe, é que existem casais bonitinhos e existem OTPs que destroem sua sanidade mental e emocional.

Casais bonitinhos? Você acompanha, torce, acha fofo. Se terminam, dói um pouco, mas segue o baile. Agora, OTPs? Ah, meu amigo... Esses entram na corrente sanguínea, te fazem perder noites de sono, criar teorias mirabolantes e desenvolver habilidades de análise de subtexto que um professor de literatura invejaria. Você começa apenas achando um casal legal e, quando percebe, já está escrevendo fanfics de 50k palavras, analisando entrevistas de elenco com um caderno de anotações e jurando que aquele olhar de 0,2 segundos significou alguma coisa.

Alguns desses casais acontecem de verdade (graças aos deuses dos roteiristas decentes), outros ficam eternamente presos no limbo do queerbaiting e da covardia criativa (olhando pra você, BBC Sherlock), e tem aqueles que o fandom simplesmente decidiu que eram reais, independentemente do que os criadores diziam. Porque se a química está ali, quem somos nós para ignorar?

Malec não foi só um ship para mim. Foi uma experiência, um despertar, uma jornada espiritual. Antes deles, eu era uma pessoa normal. Depois? Eu me tornei o tipo de ser humano que surta sozinha na frente da tela, que assiste a mesma cena 87 vezes seguidas, que lê fanfics até às cinco da manhã e aparece no trabalho parecendo um zumbi porque “só mais um capítulo” virou um ciclo vicioso. Se você já passou por isso, sinto muito: você também foi sequestrado pelo fandom e não há saída.

A questão é que Malec não foi só um ship qualquer. Eles foram O SHIP. O pacote completo. O equilíbrio perfeito entre drama, química, desenvolvimento e representatividade. Eles tinham tudo o que um casal icônico precisa ter:

✔️ Magnus Bane, o feiticeiro imortal, lendário e dono do meu coração. Ele não é apenas poderoso; ele é um evento. Um momento. Uma experiência cultural. Dono de um figurino impecável, de um delineado que poderia cortar diamantes e de um coração que já viu séculos de dor e amor. O homem literalmente sobreviveu a guerras, perseguições e corações partidos, mas ainda assim escolheu continuar amando. Isso, senhoras e senhores, é caráter.

✔️ Alec Lightwood, o caçador de sombras que nasceu para ser um soldado obediente, mas que, ao conhecer Magnus, percebe que talvez, só talvez, seguir cegamente as regras de uma sociedade arcaica e homofóbica não seja o melhor plano de vida. Ele passou anos reprimindo seus sentimentos, fingindo que estava tudo bem, até que, um dia, ele simplesmente... disse CHEGA.

✔️ A PRIMEIRA VEZ QUE ALEC JOGOU TUDO PRO ALTO E BEIJOU MAGNUS NO ALTAR, NA FRENTE DE TODO MUNDO?? Eu nunca vou superar. Eu nunca vou esquecer. Eu nunca vou parar de assistir essa cena em loop. Esse momento não foi só um beijo – foi um manifesto. Foi a televisão nos entregando um casal LGBTQ+ que não estava fadado ao sofrimento eterno, um casal que lutava pelo amor e, pasmem, conseguia ser feliz.

✔️ Casal canônico, bem desenvolvido e SEM tragédia gratuita! O que, sinceramente, é quase um milagre quando se trata de romances LGBTQ+ na ficção. Você já percebeu como 90% dos casais queer são condenados a finais trágicos? Pois bem, Malec veio para quebrar essa tradição tóxica e nos dar um relacionamento que cresce, se desenvolve e supera obstáculos sem precisar matar um dos personagens no final.

Além de tudo isso, Malec nos deu alguns dos melhores diálogos e momentos românticos da série. Desde as trocas de olhares intensas até as declarações de amor no meio de batalhas, tudo neles era cinematográfico. Se o casal não me faz sentir nem 10% do que Malec me fez sentir, eu simplesmente nem considero digno do meu tempo.

Resumindo: Malec foi, e é, um presente para a humanidade, e se você ainda não surtou por eles, peço que melhore e sinceramente recomendo corrigir essa falha de caráter imediatamente.

2. Hannigram (Hannibal Lecter & Will Graham – Hannibal)

Você pode me perguntar: "Mas como você pode shippar um assassino canibal com um investigador quebrado emocionalmente?"

E eu respondo: "Como eu NÃO poderia??"

Hannigram não é só um ship, é um estudo de caso. Se Freud estivesse vivo, ele já teria escrito uns cinco livros analisando esses dois. Porque Hannibal e Will não são apenas um casal, eles são uma experiência psicológica intensa, um mergulho sem volta na interseção entre obsessão, amor e destruição mútua. É aquele tipo de relacionamento que te faz pensar: “isso é horrível… mas também é incrivelmente poético e eu não consigo desviar o olhar.”

✔ Diálogos que eram basicamente poesia romântica, mas com um fundo de psicopatia e assassinatos. Você está lá, ouvindo um monólogo de Hannibal sobre a complexidade da mente humana e, de repente, percebe que ele está, na verdade, confessando seu amor por Will em forma de metáforas elaboradíssimas.

✔ O olhar do Hannibal para o Will parecia saído de um romance vitoriano. Se alguém me olhasse do jeito que Hannibal olha para Will, eu nem questionaria—já assinaria o contrato de casamento na hora. O homem estava apaixonado, obcecado e pronto para transformar a vida do Will em uma obra de arte macabra.

✔ "É belo" / "E terrível." = a declaração de amor mais bizarra e intensa da TV. Em vez de “eu te amo”, eles trocam reflexões filosóficas sobre a beleza do caos e a inevitabilidade da destruição. O puro suco do romance trágico e codependente.

✔ O final? Os dois caindo juntos no abismo, como Romeu e Julieta versão psicopatas apaixonados. Porque se não for para terminar com um abraço ensanguentado no precipício, eu nem quero. A série poderia ter seguido um milhão de caminhos diferentes, mas escolheu a rota “se amamos, nos destruímos juntos”, e sinceramente? Melhor decisão possível.

Hannigram me fez perceber que eu tenho uma queda absurda por ships intensos, trágicos e extremamente codependentes. Quanto mais tóxico e poeticamente devastador, mais eu sofro e mais eu amo. Se um casal não me faz sentir que eu preciso de um divã só para processar os diálogos deles, eu simplesmente não me envolvo.

3. Johnlock (Sherlock Holmes & John Watson – Sherlock BBC)

Ah, Johnlock… o ship que me transformou em um detetive digno do próprio Sherlock Holmes. Antes desse casal, eu era uma pessoa normal. Depois? Eu estava pausando cenas a cada dois segundos, analisando expressões faciais, estudando leitura labial e assistindo vídeos de fãs que pareciam mais detalhados que uma tese de mestrado em cinema.

Porque Johnlock não era só um ship. Era uma promessa não cumprida. Era um quebra-cabeça que nunca foi resolvido, um livro com páginas arrancadas, um roteiro que começou a escrever uma história de amor e, na última hora, resolveu fingir que era só "amizade masculina intensa". (BBC, eu não te perdoo.)

✔ Sherlock fingiu a própria morte e passou DOIS ANOS vigiando John, porque sabia que ele sofreria demais sem ele. A questão não era "se" John sofreria. A questão era "quanto" ele sofreria. E Sherlock sabia a resposta: insuportavelmente. Mas sim, claro, eles eram só amigos.

✔ John passou mais tempo brigando com Sherlock do que qualquer esposa já brigou com um marido. Se brigar, resmungar e se preocupar obsessivamente com alguém não é amor, então o que é? Ele praticamente tinha um mestrado em “Como Lidar com um Gênio Sociopata que Você Ama Mas Não Pode Admitir”.

✔ A BBC alimentou esse ship por anos e depois nos jogou na lama sem dó nem piedade. Durante quatro temporadas, fomos alimentados com olhares, subtextos, gestos e frases que pareciam gritantes declarações de amor (”Você tem encantos para um homem assim?” Sherlock perguntando para Irene, mas olhando para John, eu vejo vocês, roteiristas). E no final? O maior queerbait da história da televisão.

✔ A cena do casamento onde Sherlock basicamente diz que nunca vai amar ninguém além do John? Se você quer saber como partir um coração em mil pedaços sem precisar de uma única gota de sangue, reveja essa cena. Sherlock faz um discurso que poderia facilmente ser lido em um altar, porque era exatamente isso que ele estava fazendo. Mas ao invés de casar, ele teve que assistir ao amor da sua vida casando com outra pessoa (e depois levando um tiro, a BBC não nos dá descanso).

A última temporada de Sherlock foi um golpe baixo. A cada episódio, eu alternava entre esperança, frustração e desespero. E no final? Eu fiquei com uma mistura de amor e raiva que até hoje não sei como processar. Se eu vejo uma cena dos dois juntos, meu cérebro entra em curto-circuito entre “olha essa química perfeita!” e “não acredito que fomos feitos de trouxas dessa forma.”

Johnlock foi o ship que me ensinou a nunca confiar em roteiristas covardes, mas também foi o ship que me deu momentos de pura arte, diálogos brilhantes e um fandom que produziu algumas das melhores fanfics já escritas na história da internet. Se a BBC não entregou, o fandom entregou. E no final das contas, isso é tudo que importa.

4. Destiel (Dean Winchester & Castiel – Supernatural)

Se você acompanhou Supernatural, sabe que Destiel não foi um ship — foi uma RELIGIÃO. E como toda religião, veio com fé inabalável, momentos de êxtase e um sofrimento espiritual que eu jamais saberei explicar.

Por 12 temporadas, esse ship foi construído com mais carinho do que muitos casais oficialmente estabelecidos na TV. Era química, era olhar, era sacrifício, era o tipo de dinâmica que faz você gritar "BEIJEM-SE LOGO, PELO AMOR DE CHUCK!" na frente da tela. Mas Supernatural decidiu brincar com o nosso psicológico até o último segundo.

✔ Castiel literalmente se rebelou contra o Céu inteiro por causa do Dean. Você sabe que a coisa é séria quando um anjo milenar decide jogar sua eternidade no lixo porque um caçador de demônios com jaqueta de couro e problemas emocionais tornou-se sua nova missão de vida.

✔ Dean olhava para Castiel como se ele fosse a única coisa que importava na vida. Sabe aquele olhar que diz “eu morreria e mataria por você e não existe mais ninguém no mundo além de nós dois”? Dean lançou esse olhar para Castiel tantas vezes que dava para fazer um compilado de três horas só com esses momentos.

✔ Os dois tiveram MAIS CENAS ROMÂNTICAS do que muitos casais heterossexuais da série. E eu não estou exagerando. Olha, respeito qualquer ship, mas se alguém me diz que Sam e Ruby ou Dean e Lisa tiveram mais química que Destiel, eu só posso concluir que assistimos a séries diferentes.

✔ Quando Castiel finalmente disse "Eu te amo" — ele MORREU TRÊS SEGUNDOS DEPOIS. A televisão mundial já viu tragédias, mas isso? Isso foi um crime de guerra contra os fãs. A gente esperou ANOS por essa declaração, suportamos temporadas de angústia, olhares intensos e tensão mal resolvida… E quando finalmente acontece, o que Supernatural faz? Puff. Cas morreu. Em três segundos. TRÊS. SEGUNDOS. Eu juro, só não joguei meu computador pela janela porque ainda precisava reassistir a cena 57 vezes para ter certeza de que era real.

A declaração de Castiel foi ao mesmo tempo o momento mais lindo e mais revoltante da minha vida. Foi a coisa mais Destiel possível: dramático, sofrido e potencialmente sem esperança. Porque claro que o anjo apaixonado não poderia viver feliz ao lado do caçador de demônios. Porque claro que precisavam seguir o manual de "Bury Your Gays" mesmo em 2020.

Supernatural foi uma montanha-russa emocional de 15 anos. Me deu cenas lindas, me fez surtar, me fez sofrer e, no final, me deixou com um buraco no coração que nem rewatch resolve. E sim, eu nunca vou superar. Nem quero.

5. WangXian (Wei Wuxian & Lan Wangji – The Untamed / Mo Dao Zu Shi)

Se existe um ship que definiu o conceito de “almas gêmeas que atravessam a vida e a morte para ficarem juntas”, é WangXian. Esquece "enemies to lovers", esquece "slow burn". Aqui estamos falando de um amor transcendental, épico e imortal, que envolve flautas encantadas, promessas silenciosas e mais anos de sofrimento do que qualquer coração de shipper pode aguentar.

✔ Wei Wuxian: o rei do caos, mestre supremo da trollagem, aquele que toca uma flauta e ressuscita mortos, mas não percebe que Lan Wangji estava apaixonado por ele desde o primeiro segundo.

✔ Lan Wangji: a personificação do estoicismo, dono de um código moral impecável, que aparentemente não liga para nada, mas na verdade passou a vida inteira preocupado apenas com uma única pessoa: Wei Wuxian.

✔ “Wei Ying” dito em tom sério, dramático, apaixonado e, às vezes, absolutamente desesperado. Esse ship basicamente redefiniu o peso emocional que um nome pode carregar. Lan Wangji poderia ter dito "eu te amo" umas mil vezes, mas optou por expressar tudo isso apenas dizendo ‘Wei Ying’ de formas diferentes ao longo da história. E francamente? Doeu mais assim.

✔ O guqin e a flauta. Enquanto casais normais compartilham hobbies, WangXian criou uma conexão musical que é praticamente um código secreto de amor e sofrimento. O guqin de Lan Wangji e a flauta de Wei Wuxian são mais românticas do que 90% dos diálogos em dramas convencionais.

✔ 16 anos de pura angústia. Sim, 16 ANOS. Lan Wangji perdeu Wei Wuxian por mais de uma década, passou esse tempo todo guardando relíquias dele, cuidando dos seus ideais e basicamente esperando que um milagre trouxesse seu amor de volta. E quando ele voltou? Lá estava Lan Wangji, pronto para segui-lo até o inferno novamente.

✔ O casamento mais implícito da ficção chinesa. Tá bom, a censura pode ter impedido de mostrar certas coisas, mas o que foi aquela cerimônia com os vinhos do Clã Lan?? Todo mundo sabe que compartilhar aquela bebida é equivalente a trocar alianças. Basicamente, eles se casaram e ainda teve serenata com flauta no final.

✔ O final? WangXian saindo juntos para explorar o mundo, porque nada mais importa além de estarem um ao lado do outro. Enquanto outros ships lutam para serem felizes, esses dois decidiram que só precisam de uma flauta, uma harpa e a eternidade para continuarem sua jornada juntos.

Se amor verdadeiro, fidelidade eterna e almas gêmeas em sua definição mais pura pudessem ser resumidos em um casal, seria Wei Wuxian e Lan Wangji. Eles sobreviveram a guerras, tragédias, mal-entendidos, 16 anos de separação e, mesmo assim, nunca deixaram de pertencer um ao outro.

EXTRA: Eddie & Buck (Evan Buckley & Eddie Diaz – 9-1-1)

Se existe um casal que tem energia de "maridos, mas ainda não perceberam", é Eddie e Buck. Sabe aquele trope de "são casados, mais ainda não perceberam? É literalmente a essência desses dois.

Não importa quantas vezes o roteiro tente enfiar romances aleatórios para desviar o foco, o fato é: Buck e Eddie são o verdadeiro casal de 9-1-1. O nível de parceria, lealdade e olhares intensos entre eles é algo que muitos casais oficialmente estabelecidos na TV gostariam de ter.

✔ Eddie confiando no Buck mais do que em qualquer outra pessoa. O homem passou um bom tempo negando seus próprios sentimentos (cof cof Alec Lightwood vibes cof cof), mas quando precisou escolher alguém para cuidar do seu filho caso algo acontecesse com ele, adivinha quem foi a primeira (e única) opção? Isso mesmo, Evan “eu sou basicamente seu marido” Buckley.

✔ Buck sendo basicamente um pai adotivo para o Christopher. Tem noção do que é isso? Esse homem assumiu o papel de pai não oficial tão naturalmente que até o próprio Christopher chama ele para eventos de família. Ele não precisa ser o guardião legal do menino para agir como se já fosse. E, sinceramente, Eddie nunca tentou impedir. Sinal dos tempos? Talvez.

✔ As trocas de olhares que gritam "somos casados, só esquecemos de assinar os papéis". Alguns ships vivem de diálogos intensos e declarações apaixonadas. Eddie e Buck vivem de olhares. O tipo de olhar que diz "se você se machucar, eu vou destruir o mundo" ou "você é a pessoa mais importante na minha vida, mas ainda não percebi isso porque sou um desastre emocional".

✔ O fandom inteiro gritando "FAZ ACONTECER, ROTEIRISTA!!" Cada episódio novo vem com aquele gostinho de "será que agora??" e seguimos firmes, fortes e emocionalmente instáveis. Se eu ganhasse um dólar para cada vez que alguém no fandom disse "gente, ISSO é literalmente um casal" depois de uma cena aleatória dos dois, eu já teria dinheiro para produzir minha própria temporada de 9-1-1 onde eles se assumem oficialmente e vivem felizes para sempre.

✔ O roteiro brincando com o nosso psicológico desde sempre. Toda série tem um ship que poderia ser canon, mas nunca é. Com Eddie e Buck, a coisa já passou do nível do bait e entrou na categoria de "isso aqui tá quase sendo um experimento social". O que mais falta para oficializarem esses dois? Um casamento acidental em Las Vegas? Um episódio temático de fake dating? (Aliás, aceito.)

Se esse casal se tornar real, eu juro que vou organizar uma festa temática. E não estou falando de um bolinho simples, estou falando de um evento com banners, retrospectiva emocionante, brindes personalizados e playlist especial de músicas que gritam "ELES SÃO TÃO CASADOS". Vou imprimir os melhores edits do fandom e espalhar pela casa. Vai ter discurso, choro, gritos histéricos e possivelmente uma cerimônia simbólica porque se a série não der um casamento pra gente, o fandom dá.
