Well hello. It's been a while.

Had a lot to do in the past weeks. Especially last week, since my parents spontaneously decided to fly somewhere for vacation, leaving me with a dog, a cat, a 240l fish tank, a 60l fish tank, plants, a presentation and an exam. It was a hell of a trial, but I surived and am back again.

Tomorrow is a national holiday, so uni is closed. Good for me. I have a shit ton to catch up to. Especially mandarin chinese. I really want to know that language. Wish me luck.

I am exhausted, yet I still love it.

Living a little over 1 hour away from the uni is really difficult in terms of time management.

Cooking food, half asleep, at 10 pm becomes the norm when you have courses from 8am till 7pm.

Welcome to uni life, I guess.

Was the first thought I had when I saw the PhD student holding the tutorial course on theoretical philosopy.

There is such a thing called folk festival (translated; Volksfest) in germany, lasting for a short period of time two times a year. My friend and I decided to go during ladies' night. An evening where all females and those looking such will get half the price for rides and special offers for food. When I was young, male classmates and others would wear wigs, dresses, heels, etc. Sadly, this tradition died out with an increase of a less tolerant population and the male insecurity.

New Week started

Had my first day of roman history up until Caesars' death and Platons' Menon in philosophy.

I LOVED IT

I can not describe how happy I am studying.

Day 2 of Uni

It finally started, and I am extremely excited. Both days went well. Had my first lectures, and met new people. Slowely but steady.

In the time between lectures, I went to a bookstore and relaxed outside in the sun. Since the whole city is basically run by the university, I got my 12000 steps, which helps me greatly with my gym goals. Luckily, the wheater was just awesome. I am thinking about bringing something - still need to think about a way - to sit on the grass. And no, I do not want to use my jacket, especially since I soon won't be wearing one.

Let's see what this semester will hold for me.

The worst feeling is making lunch in the evening, tired as hell and forgetting it the next day 🤡 Protein shake it is.

Week 1

So I decided to start anew. Meaning I need to get a bit more structure in my life.

Uni starts on the 23 of April, and I officially begin a new chapter in my life. Let's see what it holds for me.

Writing day 25/41 I had a slumb and at some point I realized I needed a vacation. Not surprisingly but my mental health increased dramatically. Now I need to start writing again, even though realistically, I will not finish on time. I need at least a good portion to understand whether it will be a winning piece or not.

So I've been to our yearly book fair in Leipzig, and honestly, I've expected a bit more. It was ok, but it had so much more potential. I missed general merch, like bookmarks, tote bags, stationary, covers for e readers, and much more. It's not only about reading it's also about everything around it. I love to drink tea whilst reading through a chapter, so I would have loved to get some of that. It's not like everything was filled to the brim with books. There were a few extremely popular publishers but besides that it should be more than just a place I can go to buy books, which are sold at the regular book store either way.

Got a 1.5 for my Bachelor. I still can not believe it. Hell is officially over.

Writing Day 11/41 Well, since I had my BA defense, I didn't have much time to write. But now I can actually put my all into it. Finally.

Bachelor defense -> DONE Finally, I am free. It's was a long and hard road to get here, but we did it, we Finished. Now I have, for the first time in years, actual free time (well I still have my job). No thinking about exams, no being stressed about some deadlines. I AM FREE. And I have to use this time visely.

Been to the opera today. Shakespeare - The tragedie of Macbeth

Oh boy. Her it comes. It was horrendouse. I loved the orchestra, the singers and the whole premise of the story but damn, the setting was bad. Real bad, and what I heard from my friend, she never saw an actual good one. I wish I could show you what I mean, but let's say it like this, their interpretation made some of the characters look like aliens. With aluminium heads and such. In an opera. I am all for new stuff, but this is going to far. At least one of the clarinet players was hot.

BA defence Wednesday | Day 5/10 Only 5 days left and my supervisor actually likes what I have so far. Lucky me. There are still major things I have to do until Friday. Wish me luck. After this hell, I will go and finally get my life back. Tip for all students out there. Be picky. Write your thesis of a topic you actually like or you will end up like me. In hell, crying and hating every minute you have to think about it. Only a couple of days pased and I feel like my brain discarded every information about it in an instant. Which is bad, considering I will be questioned about it. I normally don't drink, but it's time I visit my vintage bar again.

Writing day 5/41

I skipped a couple days, but I have been more or less productive. I fnished my goal of finilizing major points in my story and now am starting to write the second chapter.

Honestly, writing a first draft is harder than it should be. Especially for a lowe key perfectionist.

Writing day 1/41 In these days I need to finish: 1. Add any missing details like town layout, key characters etc. Which I will probably do today. 2. Write chapter 1 3. Write chapter 2

I am thinking about going to a cafe in these days and write there, since I mostly stay at home. One of the best ways to learn about dialog is listening in on other people. Just write down what and how they talk to each other to get a feeling of natural conversations.
