seeing an old friend from primary school at the end of your little sibling's primary school. same building, same teacher, same beautiful summer day, but you're both years older and don't have anything to talk about except your other classmates, who you'll most likely never see again, and if you do, it'll be the same as it is now. same places as before, but you're different.

you changed, you both did, and you're still kind to eachother, and you have the same eyes and the same smile and the same teacher who now bids your little siblings good luck in life instead of you.

and you'll never see your old friend again. neither will you see this school ever again. nor this summer afternoon, nor hear the laughter of children in the halls, nor listen for the bell for the final time
