hi i would like to say I FUCKING LOVE YOU FOR SAYING THIS STUFF THAT NEEDS TO BE SAID!!
hi can we please stop shaming people for reading/writing fanfiction? it’s so looked down upon and for literally what reason? some fics i’ve read barely follow any of the original storyline or anything beyond the characters—they’re basically original novels within themselves—but the minute you mention that it’s based on a certain character, people are like “oh. aha. ew, fanfiction’s so weird.”
first of all, how is it any different to original writing beyond that they didn’t come up with the characters? it’s still that person’s writing and people should be allowed to enjoy it. it’s still just as much effort and talent, and the best part; you get to read peoples contributions to that book or show or piece of media. i’ve met so many wonderful people through fandom, and admired even more talented, amazing people because they have the courage to share their work (and of course this doesn’t just apply to writing, but art and all the other wonderful contributions) and then people come along and look down on all the time and effort put into that lovely work because oh “fanfiction is for weirdos.” cut the shit, deborah, your husband is probably going to leave you for a man and you know what? i hope he does.
second of all, it is really, really difficult to get people to read your writing or look at your art or just take you seriously and be interested if it’s not based around a fandom. a lot of people start writing fic or drawing fanart because it’s a great way to get known so that eventually people will want to appreciate your work. you can’t really just post a piece of writing or art and expect people to like it like that. It takes a while to gain a following for fandom work let alone original work, especially when you don’t know anyone on such big platforms like tumblr or instagram or whatnot
third of all, it’s none of your fucking business. if you don’t like it, don’t read it or look at it or interact with it. let people do the things they enjoy. for fuck sake deborah, focus on your crumbling marriage not other people’s interests. do you know how fucking adorable it is to see people gushing over drawings or fics of their favourite characters? writing all their headcanons and freaking out when someone imagines a character the same way they do? have you ever experienced opening your notifications to a paragraph long comment listing all the things they loved about your work? it’s the fucking best, deborah.
i just don’t see how people can ridicule something that brings so many people so much joy. the community in some fandoms, at least in my experience, is absolutely amazing, and talented and kind and wonderful and provides such a lovely, safe space to do the things you enjoy. i just don’t get why the world outside isn’t a safe place, why people have to be so bloody ignorant. guys, gals and pals, please keep writing and reading and creating, and don’t let the deborah’s get to you. i appreciate you, and i love you and you’re doing a fantastic job at being you. and deborah? fuck you. deborah’s husband on the other hand,,, take a seat, make yourself at home.

10. “Carry me?” for the prompts pls
((Thank you so much for the prompt lovelyy. I’m sorry it took so long <3<3))
“You guys are insane,” Peter says, flickering his flashlight back on. He turned it off to ‘set the mood’, though the burning bonfire they’re sitting around might have ruined his plans. “How could that not freak you out? It’s a haunted doll. The first time my cousin told me about it, I couldn’t sleep in my bedroom for a fucking week.”
"It’s not all that creepy, Pete,” James says, fixing his glasses. “It’s a doll. What’s the worst thing it could do?”
“The doll is the medium with which the demon makes your life miserable. It’s not about the doll itself.  it’s about that it’s haunted. I can’t believe I have to explain this.”
Sirius laughs, and his chest vibrates against Remus’ back and Remus loves sitting in Sirius’ lap. “It’s still not creepy at all. How would a doll hurt you, Peter? Even a demon one. It’s a doll. It’s made of yarn and buttons. It’s just too absurd.”
“Says the actual wizard. What do you know about absurdity, love?” Remus asks, craning his neck to look at Sirius behind him. Sirius smiles and is about to say something, but both of them turn their attention to James when he snaps his fingers a decibel or two too loud.
“Focus, you guys! It’s my turn,” James says, motioning his hand toward Peter. “Pete, give me the flashlight.”
Peter hands it over to James, and James turns it on, holding it way too close to his face. His round glasses and eyelashes cast big shadows, and he looks slightly deranged. “Okay. Last story of the night. There’s this pendulum clock in my father’s study. It’s huge and made from heavy, heavy wood and has the most unique ticking sound I’ve ever heard. My family’s had it for a century or two. It’s one of my favorite things back home. Last Christmas, I was in my father’s study talking to him about whatever when I noticed that the clock had stopped at exactly seven forty-three. Exactly,” James emphasizes.
Remus waits for James to continue, but he doesn’t.
Sirius shivers behind Remus, and he buries his head in the back of Remus’ neck. “What the actual hell, Jamie. You didn’t have to tell us the exact time.”
Peter blinks, then splutters, “What the fuck? I don’t think you guys get what a scary story is.”
Remus looks at James. “Peter is right. I feel like that story is missing a climax, James.”
“Broken clocks are the biggest fucking bad omen in the wizarding world,” Sirius says.
“Oh, very funny,” Peter says humorlessly. “I thought you were the biggest bad omen, Sirius.”
“I never knew that,” Remus muses. “Is it true?” he asks James.
The flashlight is still on, and James nods frantically. “What do you mean is it true? Of course it is! Broken clocks are ominous. Worse than broken mirrors and walking underneath ladders and spilling coffee.”
Remus smiles despite himself. “Spilling coffee is actually good luck, James. It doesn’t belong on that list.”
“Oh, that’s not important. The clocks are ominous,” Sirius says. “The time they stop at always signifies something. I’ve never gotten goosebumps but I feel like this is a time where I’d get them. You did not have to tell us the exact time, James.”
James grins. “I know! It freaked me out like nothing else. Dad got rid of the clock as soon as I pointed it out. What do you mean you’ve never gotten goosebumps?”
“I just never have,” Sirius mumbles. He’s still nuzzling Remus’ neck. “Your hair smells nice.”
Remus raises an eyebrow. “It’s your shampoo.”
“I know. It makes me happy when you use my stuff.”
All the marauders, sans Sirius, make fake gagging noises.
Sirius jabs Remus’ side, ignoring James and Peter. “What was that for?” He asks.
“Don’t be corny.”
“Ugh, I’m not corny. James is.”
James scoffs, finally turning the flashlight off. “I literally wasn’t even a part of that conversation.” He stands, helping Peter stand up as well. “We should head back, you guys. I’m getting tired.”
“I still can’t believe that’s what you consider a scary story,” Peter says as he and James start walking.
“It signifies something, Pete!” James says, and Peter and he disappear after a while.
Remus rests his head back on Sirius’ shoulder. “I never knew you believed in that stuff.”
“I don’t believe in the ridiculous things, obviously. Like the ladder one. That’s bullshit.”
“Oh, of course. My bad,” Remus grins.
“We should follow them,’ Sirius says. “Or stay out, if you wanna?”
“No, no. We should definitely follow them.” Remus closes his eyes. “Carry me.”
“Carry you?”
“Yes. I’m scared of all the haunted dolls and broken clocks out there.”
Sirius laughs, and it’s almost abrupt. “Don’t be an asshole about it, Re.”
“I can think of three separate clocks that are broken in my house.”
Sirius groans as he stands. “Stop.”
“Maybe I can get you one. For memories and stuff,” Remus says, putting his arms around Sirius’ neck as he gets picked up.
“Stop,” Sirius says, and Remus can see that he’s grinning. A few strands of hair have fallen out of Sirius’ bun and he looks flushed and tired and gorgeous.
“You’re way too stunning sometimes,” Remus says. He gets embarrassed immediately afterwards, though, so he buries his head into Sirius’ shoulder.
Sirius starts walking. “Am I?” he asks.
“Oh, way too stunning,” Remus says sarcastically. His voice is muffled. “I am stunned. Petrified. Tell Madam Pomfrey to get all the Mandrakes because we’re going to need a hell of a lot.”
Sirius kisses Remus’ neck (more smiles against Remus’ neck than anything else). “You’re way too stunning, Re. All the time.”
Remus flushes. “I am so getting you a broken clock. Maybe even eight.”
“Stop.”

I love this so much 🥺❤️
Different Kinds of Dancing
August 19, 2020.
No one:
Me: HAVE SOME LINNY!!! :DDD
Seriously though I love these women and this ship is one of my favourite things to ever emerge from Harry Potter (beyond the fact that it’s a fucking magical civilization with a boarding school for children, four personality houses, and involves lots of idiots being put in charge of saving the world. That is my SHIT). Hopefully you’ll enjoy this, I actually don’t think it’s too bad??? Miracle of all miracles lol.
Luna didn’t know what she had expected returning to Hogwarts for seventh year. Everyone dealt with the traumas from the war differently; she knew that. She tried her best to accept that not everyone knew how to laugh and cry at the same time. And after everything, it was well enough to let people go through their processes. Interfering wasn’t her place.
She told herself this over and over again as she stared at Ginny, eating porridge across the Great Hall. She didn’t enjoy porridge, but that wasn’t what worried Luna. In the grand scheme of things, what was a bowl of oats and milk? Not much, really, certainly not worth the time and energy of twenty minutes spent anxiously tittering and deciding things only to take them back. What was worth that time was comforting her friend in a way that didn’t involve delving Ginny into the things she hated most to wallow in sadness or maybe even feel something at all.

Family (wolfstar)
Everyone has impulses. Like the sudden urge to eat ice cream or listen to a certain song- it depends. There are also different types of impulses, productive and useful ones and dumb ones, the ones that you know you will regret after doing it but you do it anyway.
Sirius has had a handful of dumb ones, maybe enough to start considering it as a part of his whole persona. But after running away from his family and receiving that not so delightful letter from his mother, something has been keeping him awake.
We have removed you from the family tapestry. It read on the paper, big letters at the end assuring him that what he had done couldn’t be undone, no turn back. It’s not like he was interested in ever going back to that place, but knowing that he was eliminated from the most important thing the family had, a symbol of tradition and honour- although expected, it wasn’t a nice feeling what invaded him. It was the total opposite.
Since he was young, his whole personality was the fact he was a Black. People didn’t take the time to get to know him because they assumed all the members from the House of the Black were the same, cold and maniac pure-bloods. The first surprise was Sirius getting into Gryffindor and not Slytherin, but even like that people still had prejudices, sometimes he found himself sitting extremely straight, hearing footsteps and feeling panicked, or normalizing behaviour that was in fact… abusive and toxic.
The marauders showed him a lot of things, helped him get better at being himself.
But he couldn’t show them all he wanted to, it was overwhelming to remember. That was why he didn’t tell them about the letter or the words his own mother used to call him- that remained a secret, and it didn’t feel right. Especially considering what he had in mind.
A dumb impulse, one of the worst you could think of.
He had to get back to the Black house and confirm he was removed from the tapestry, he had to see it. One thing was reading it and having the benefit of the doubt and the other one was having it right in front of you. He had been planning since the letter arrived, writing at what hours he knew the family left the house, where Kreacher slept while he knew he was alone, the easiest way to enter, everything. He wasn’t an organized person, but this was a matter of life or death.
If they saw him, they would kill him, no doubt. They were near to do it more times he was able to admit.
Now, going alone seemed like the perfect idea. He would go in, see the tapestry and then go, nothing more. But that house was not only that, it was hell, it brought memories so dark and terrifying that just thinking about being alone at that place made his heartbeat ten times faster. He needed someone around to stay grounded, at least somewhat peaceful.
James was too clumsy and curious, he would touch everything he was interested in or probably would try to hex something in the house as an act of revenge. Even without asking, he just knew Peter was probably too scared to go, and he wasn’t going to force him.
Remus was a good option. He and Sirius had this weird more than friends thing going on- but it was fine, they were comfortable with it and their friendship remained the same, except for the kisses and couple stuff they were afraid to name. Remus could calm him and make him laugh even in the tensest situations.
So it was Remus.
He was there, reading peacefully as the sun hit the window. Maybe he was too concentrated to notice, but Sirius had been looking at him for more than twenty minutes without stopping.
Or maybe he did notice but was waiting until Sirius could gather all the guts he needed to say whatever was going on his mind. Remus was patient about it, he was conscious of how pressure could affect people, so he didn’t do it.
After five more minutes, Sirius finally got up from the bed, walking a little in many directions, nervous about how to explain the fact he needed Remus to offer him moral support while facing the trauma he had thanks to his parents. Not a very light to say.
“You’re okay, Sirius?” Finally, Remus asked, lowering his voice as he spoke, not wanting to bother anyone that was taking an afternoon nap, “You know I’m here for you, right?”
Sirius smiled, taking a deep breath. The crumpled letter found rest in his pocket, where he constantly played with it to distract himself, “Yeah, I know.”
Remus nodded and turned back to finish his book, one of his hands tapping the space empty next to him, a sign from Sirius to sit down and maybe relax a little to talk better. He did. He sat and breathed a few times, Remus was taking it all so calm and normal that it made Sirius felt like it was something normal, something he shouldn’t be worried about- it helped a lot the attitude the werewolf took to make him comfortable.
“I need your help with something.”
“What is it?” Remus closed the book, leaving it in a nearby coffee table they had to play table games. Sirius glanced at it, it was the third part of the novel the werewolf was reading- Sirius knew it because Remus couldn’t stop talking about reading it, he was pretty quiet and sarcastic most of the time, but when it came about his favourite books, he could talk for hours.
“I need you to come with me to my house.”
“Your house?”
“The Black family house.”
As intuitive and perceptive as Remus was, he definitely didn’t catch quickly what the shorter boy meant. He stared at him for a few seconds, wondering if what he heard was correct.
“…Why? Didn’t you run away from there?”
Sirius sighed, “Yes, I did, but-”, he stretched out on the couch, trying to look casual, “I forgot something important.”
“What?”
“Don’t you think you are asking too many questions?”
Remus shrugged, “Well, what you are asking for is not the most normal thing, you know. You ran away from that place, why would you ever come back? and you were planning your escape from months, how did you forget something? it doesn’t add up, Sirius.”
“Yeah, I knoooow, but,” Sirius looked at Remus, shiny eyes to convince him, “I need to go with someone.”
“James?”
“Too clumsy and curious.”
“Peter?”
“Too afraid.”
“…Lily?”
“Oh, c'mon, Remmy.”
“Fine”, he mumbled while blushing thanks to the nickname, “But you have to tell me the truth.”
“What truth?”
“Why do you want to go, because I don’t buy any of the I forgot something bullshit.”
Sirius got up the couch, ignoring whatever Remus said at the end, “Sounds great! We go tonight.” And then he was out of the room, sprinting down the hallways without looking back not even once. Remus rolled his eyes and decided to take a nap, maybe that way the intrusive thought of what the hell Sirius was planning to do would stop bothering him.
The time at Hogwarts was different for every student. The younger ones were amazed by every little magic trick (especially the muggle-born students) and would love attending to their classes, perfect uniform and all the materials in hand. The older ones were… different, Sirius was the perfect example for it when he found himself searching for his favourite quill in an old trunk just minutes before he and Remus would leave the school to go to hell…willingly.
“Forgot something at the last moment again?” Asked Remus teasingly, in three steps he was already hovering over Sirius, analyzing the paper the boy had in his hands, “Is that a map of the house?… and a blank parchment?”
“It does say something, but it isn’t important right now.”
“You are keeping a lot of secrets lately…”
“Well, I’m not the one that was receiving love letters from a Hufflepuff girl last Monday…”
A huff left the werewolf’s mouth, “It’s not like we are together… couple kind of together.”
“…Do you want to?”
As the words left Sirius’s lips, a few voices could be heard walking into the common room, everyone was getting ready to go to sleep. It was the moment to take the invisibility cloak and get going before anyone could notice. They shared a resigned look like telling each other we will talk about it later. Sirius transformed into Padfoot and Remus grabbed the cloak, bending down to let the fabric cover him perfectly. Being tall wasn’t that fun when you needed to be subtle.
They left the castle when the moon was already adorning the sky, realizing that a cold and silent night was giving them a not-so-welcoming embrace. They proceeded in silence until they reached Sirius’ motorbike that was hiding in the woods. It was a birthday gift from James and of course, it had been intervened with magic. Remus absolutely despised flying in that thing, but he was already involved in the whole thing, wasn’t he? the only option was going forward. So he breathed deeply and got on it, his chest against Sirius’s back.
“I hope you got over your fear of flying.”
“Make it quick or I’m going back to the school.”
Did everything resemble a cheesy movie scene? It did. But Remus couldn’t deny he felt comfortable as long as he didn’t look down, and Sirius was a pretty good driver considering they hadn’t died yet. Seeing the two of them like that made the werewolf understand that he was afraid of the word couple, but he wasn’t afraid of being with Sirius, it felt natural, almost instinctive.
If everything went well, maybe someday he was going to tell him he wanted them to be something official, with a name, with kisses shared in the back of the class and holding hands under the table.
“Almost there.”
In a matter of seconds (or maybe minutes, being conscious of the time while you were holding onto the person you liked was hard) they were slowly descending into the dry land of Number 12 Grimmauld Place. Not a single soul was on the street when they finally touched the ground, and the only people at sight were silhouettes in the windows nearby, most of them doing stuff like watching tv or sleeping cosily in their partner laps.
“Here we are… The Honorary House of Black.”
“It ’s… dark.”
“Yeah, don’t expect a lot of bright colours.”
As Sirius went up the stairs (wand in hand), his motion was almost automatic. A quick move and some whispered spells opened the door like it was the easiest thing in the world, it was at least for him- he was raised there, he knew all he needed to know about the old place.
“We have to be very quiet, just follow me.”
Remus nodded while slowly closing the door and followed Sirius, trying to not get distracted by everything that was going on there. All the walls were decorated with big portraits of the family members, the Slytherin symbol all over the place.
With each stair they passed, more tense Sirius felt. Tons of memories were coming back at the same time, reminding him that this was probably the last time he would go visit that house, or even get close to it. He didn’t miss it, but the melancholy was still there.
One look at the tapestry and you’re gone. Just one look, that was it.
“So…what do you think about it?” he asked.
“I don’t know what I was expecting… but it wasn’t this. You grew up here?”
“When you are a kid everything is a little bit scarier, but I got used to it. Now… It just seems normal.”
“There are domestic elf heads on the walls-”
“That is not the worst.”
With every portrait they left behind, Sirius started to get more nervous, grasping his wand as if his life was depending on it. Remus didn’t have any idea on what to say, so he just stood closer, and when they finally reached the room that made Sirius gasp softly, Remus placed one of his hands on Sirius’s shoulders, feeling the tension, “You’re okay?”
“Yeah. This is what I wanted to see.”
Remus followed the images in the tapestry. It was big and it was clear what it represented, the honour of the family. It had thousands of people the werewolf had never heard Sirius’ name before, all of them looked… almost evil.
And where it read “Sirius Black” there was nothing. Just a mark, like as if it had been burned, the name was blurred and it looked like whoever did that did it with resentment.
“She really did that.”
Remus arched an eyebrow, “You knew…?”
Maybe it was time for the secret to get out.
“My mom- Walburga sent me a letter a few days after I ran away. It said a bunch of disgusting things, but the most important one was this. She removed me from the tapestry,” He muttered as his fingers touched softly the place where his face used to be, “The tapestry is a big symbol in the family, it has been here forever and I will probably be until the end of times. It’s… kind of a big deal, so I wanted to confirm she actually did it."
"How… do you feel about it?”
“Fuck’s sake, Remus… I don’t know. I never thought this would really happen, my whole identity was being a part of this atrocious family. I don’t know who I am without the Black last name.”
“You are better,” He assured, now his both hands exerting pressure on the shoulders of the shorter boy, “You don’t need a recognized last name to be something in life. You are you, and that’s enough.”
Sirius mumbled a thankful “you’re the best” at Remus and took out the blank parchment he had before from his pocket, analyzing.
“What is that for?” The werewolf tried to see something on the parchment, but it was still empty.
“Who is that for. Is for Regulus, he always comes here to see the tapestry.”
Sirius placed the parchment on where his face used to be, sticking it with a spell, “He is going to read it before she can, I know it. And is going to make him hate me, because if he doesn’t he is going to lose his mind here.”
“Sirius…”
“I don’t have a family anymore… well, maybe I never had one to start with, it’s not a joyful feeling to be completely honest, but it’s okay.”
“You have us, we are your family."
And we will forever be.
“Just… no more secrets.” “I promise.”

Remus Lupin Headcanons
I can’t resist not talking about Hogwarts!Remus 💓 (tense is a mess, apologies)
Looked soft, what with the sweaters, books and nerdiness... but do not be mistaken.
Werewolf? more like swearwolf. This bloke swears like a Welsh Sailor.
Mostly swore at inanimate objects. For example, one fine day, this werewolf was walking down the hall, and- dropped his book on his foot. “Fucking hell! Shit! Bloody stupid thing!”
Fluent in sarcasm and smartass.
He wouldn’t say it out loud, but he’d mumble comments under his breath, the other Marauders often got detentions for laughing in class, all thanks to this boy’s commentary. “Why are you talking back to me?” A Professor once asked a young Sirius Black, “Because that’s how a conversation works...” A young Remus Lupin mumbled under his breath. This certain Black got a detention because he simply could not take this Professor siriusly.
Never has handed any piece of schoolwork in late, even during the aftermath of a full moon. “Moons, go back to bed, I can finish it for you.” “No, I’m fine, I need to do this,”
Will never admit that he’s not okay, even when it’s obvious that he isn’t. He’s always trying to keep it together. He’ll only say he needs to rest to get out of social events.
He used a cane to get around in the colder months, because his joints were even more achy and brittle after full moons.
He was always cold. It could be the middle of summer and there’d still be a bit of a chill for him.
He was always too self conscious to wear shorts or shortsleeves.
Beanies. He always wore beanies, inside or outside. Scarves outside in winter, and sweaters of autumn colours nearly all year round.
He always went on walks around the lake, forest or anywhere quiet by himself or with Peter, sometimes Prongs and Padfoot tagged along. He collects small items on said walks and brings them back, he either gives them to Sirius or another one of his friends, or he keeps them for himself.
He was always one of the shorter marauders until about fifth year, when suddenly, he became the tallest.
He always teased Sirius with their height difference. Especially when he wanted a kiss.
Definitely topped, I mean, c’mon
Always went to the library with Lily or the forest to study or exchange books. They both fangirled over the characters they got emotionally attached to.
Tutored the younger students who struggled with schoolwork whenever he could.
He had a very bad habit of biting his nails or itching at scars when he got nervous or anxious.
He always talked the Marauders out of trouble for their pranks.
Was well respected and trusted by the Professors. Despite being a complete swearwolf he was very polite to them. It was like he was a complete different Remus around them.
He was the brains behind the pranks. With help from Peeves and Peter.
Gave a nasty death stare. If looks could kill, Remus would be in Azkaban for murdering a numerous amount of people. Probably even Sirius and James at some point
He was friendly and sociable, but really, he hated being social.
He was a bisexual mess. It took him forever to figure out who he was.
He never “came out”, but the Marauders knew, especially since James and Peter had walked in on Sirius and him mid snog- multiple times. It got to the point where they’d walk in casually, find the two and just be like “Pads, don’t forget Quidditch Practise tonight,” then pop out again like it was normal in those times.
He struggled with mental health, and it was hard for him to admit he needed help, despite dating Sirius, he was most open with Lily.

Jealousy + Wolfstar
In the third and fourth years, Remus is very jealous of Sirius
Basically everyone in Hogwarts has a crush on Sirius and it doesn't help Remus at all
So you can say something is wrong with him when he's jealous, but you can't clearly say he's jealous
Usually goes very silent when he's jealous because no one plans murder out loud
Or smiles so big to the person he is jealous of, obviously a fake smile
Or gives death glares to anyone who talks to Sirius
Sometimes he gets really depressive when he's jealous because of his insecurities
"I'm not pretty as them! I'll never be as good as them! They are far better than me! They don't have scars like me!"
When it's like this, it's very hard to take him out of a depressive episode
Once he set fire to the Common Room because Sirius was kissing someone and Remus couldn't control his magic
Once he gave detention to someone just because Sirius talked to him
And one time he didn't talk to Sirius because 'he already has someone who's better than me'
They started dating in the sixth year and Remus knows Sirius is loyal as a dog
Like that boy is literally a dog
So he doesn't get jealous at all, only acts that way because it causes a good tension between them
The exact opposite for Sirius
He wasn't very much jealous of Remus before, he was only trying to make Remus jealous because he comes from the Black family and have absolutely no idea about how relationships work, he thought it was the only way to get Remus' attention
Then they started dating, and he started realizing how everyone in Hogwarts thinks Remus is very handsome
So he is very very jealous, even though Remus is so loyal too
He talks about killing people who has a crush on Remus
Remus laughs because he knows Sirius can't even kill a bug
Secretly he's insecure about himself too, but unlike Remus he only lets James see the insecure side of him when he's jealous
"Mate have you seen Remus? He's too good looking for me, I have no chance."
"MATE YOU TWO ARE DATING."
Remus didn't care about Sirius' jealousity much, it was cute and Remus would never cheat on Sirius, and Sirius would never limit him, so it was only something that made Sirius even cuter
He has never even thought that Sirius' jealousity would be the thing that will end their relationship and put Sirius into the Azkaban
Peter is pretty much aware of Sirius' jealousity, and one day he realizes he could use that
He has to blame someone to make himself look innocent
Remus goes to an Order mission, he has to fake date with someone but he refuses everyone because it will feel like he's cheating on Sirius
So he goes with Peter on disguise
And it is a secret mission and Dumbledore forbids Remus to talk about the mission
Peter manages to get someone take pictures of them somehow
And he hands Sirius the pictures
"Sirius, I saw Remus with a woman! They were holding hands and I think he cheats on you!"
Sirius looks at the pictures, it really looks like Remus has a girlfriend
Sirius' trust gets broken immediately
He takes his things from Remus' and cuts him off
He also offers to change the Secret Keeper
"We can't trust Remus, guys. He's not even loyal in his relationship with me, I don't want to risk your lives."
So they change the Secret Keeper to Peter
And Sirius ends up in Azkaban

James Potter Headcanons
I’m sick right now, resulting in much boredom, hence all the headcanons. Also i love these kids and have so much inspiration rn
He was the biggest adhd kid out there. The bloke couldn’t sit still for a full ten seconds. Either bouncing his knee up and down, or fidgeting with his Quill (Lily got him a muggle click pen once in fourth year. Biggest mistake.) (Remus ended up throwing it out the dorm window)
He could talk for hours on end about his hair, quidditch, wizard’s chess, Lily... and quite frequently did.
Being on a broomstick was one of the best feelings ever. Chasing that Quaffle and scoring goals, all while feeling the fresh air blow through his hair, was one of his favourite moments.
He never liked to wear his glasses, “I look like a nerd Padfoot, I’m not a nerd,”
Speaking of glasses. He frequently misplaced them, or lost them. they were on top of his head the majority of the time
When Lily introduced him to muggle music, he fell in love with the song Dancing Queen by ABBA. (it reminded him of lily) (she always danced so well to that song)
Despite his father being the creator of a very successful line of hair product, James always looked like he just woke up - “It’s more natural this way,”
When James was a stag, his eye sight was perfect.
He often turned into a stag when he felt the pressure of war, or anything at all, was too much and he needed a break. It calmed him down.
James was one of those kids who were always hungry, ate a lot, and never gained weight. He always asked Peter to sneak out with him to steal cake from the kitchens in his earlier Hogwarts years
Despite being a prankster, and never being able to keep his mouth shut in class, James actually did his homework, his favourite was Transfiguration
Whenever his friends got in serious trouble, he would say it was his idea, and despite their silent protests, take full responsibility. Sirius often ended up taking the blame with him.
He carried Remus from the shrieking shack when he was too weak.
If anyone fell asleep in the common room, he would find a blanket and pillow and tuck them in.
James and Sirius were always the executors of the marauders pranks, Remus and Peter were always the masterminds. (Peeves often helped them out)
Lily was the thing he was most committed to, he never gave up on her, even when she said she hated him.
He loved to annoy her, because at least then he got her attention.
He was a shoulder that each and every one of his friends had cried into, and he gave them the best advice he could.
He was a very sore loser, and when he and Lily versed in Wizard’s chess, it was the most intense thing ever. There had never been more competitiveness in the air.
It took him forever to realise Lily was hinting she liked him back. Even then she had to literally yell it. “Our patronuses, they match, do you know what that means?” “Wait they matched?”
In James’ first year, he didn’t want anyone to know his middle name, because he hated it, so he made everyone believe it was something “cool” like abracadabra or something. (he asked Lily for advice on a cool name)

Lily Evans Headcanons
love this woman and I’m always down to give her more appreciation. She was more than a rule abiding bookworm. So much more. 💞
Definitely had the biggest dick energy out of all the Marauders.
Lily joined the Marauders on some Hogsmeade weekends and sometimes played exploding snap with them.
She was extremely competitive.
Lily never hated James deep down, despite saying so. they had more of a love/hate relationship going on.
Secretly, Lily would find James’ truly horrid puns hilarious. But always got annoyed with herself for giggling silently at them.
She never ever liked to admit she was wrong, and it wasn’t often that she was.
She would never admit to needing help in Transfiguration, especially not to James- “Evans, your goblet still has fur...” “I meant for that to happen Potter!”
As all redheads do, Lily Evans had a temper. When she lost it, well let’s just say even the fearless Sirius Black cowered. James tended to leave her alone on her... time of the month. it was always the worst then.
Lily always came to James’ quidditch games, she wouldn’t admit it, but she loved how happy James looked on that broom. “No Remus, I don’t like that arrogant toe-rag! I’m merely supporting my house!”
Despite being a generally quiet girl, Lily always cheered extremely loud at every Gryffindor Quidditch match.
Lily and Remus always went for strolls through the forest and sat in there to study together.
If they weren’t in the forest, they were in the library.
She was always there for people who needed her, whether it was a younger student who needed a tutor, or one of her friends who needed support.
She always wore a brave face. She never let her emotions leak through. Even when during her most stressful or terrifying moments. She was always one to keep it together.
Always wore lots of floral clothing.
Lily always referred to the marauders as her boys.
She always braided Sirius’ hair when it was long, despite his protests. “You have your own hair!” “Really? I wouldn’t have guessed,”
Lily picked up a lot of sarcasm from being around Remus.
She was also extremely sassy when she had to be. She could even beat Sirius in a sass fight. “Mudblood,” “Oh, I’m sorry, I don’t speak asshole, go talk to someone who does,”
Lily always stuck up for other muggle-borns who were insulted or racially abused, and was never afraid to call them out. She knew exactly what it was like, and hated for anyone else to feel that way.

Younger Peter Pettigrew Headcanons
I know that some people don’t like Peter and honestly I get why, I hate what he did. But he was still a marauder and was a different person before the war. Why would they let him be a Marauder if he was otherwise? 💓
Peter was extremely skittish, he was easy to scare and fun to scare. He was often victim to many of Sirius’ “surprise attacks”.
Love was a confusing topic to the young Pettigrew. He felt like he didn’t quite fit in because quite frankly, he had never fell in love unlike his three mates. He often thought he just wouldn’t ever feel it. He had dated before, but he felt no different to the way he did around other people.
The reason behind Severus Snape’s infamous nickname of “Snivellus” was this small boy. In his first year, he was having a particular rough day with English, and this slimeball happened to be passing and- “Hey guys, look it’s Snivellus!” James didn’t stop laughing for a full five to ten minutes.
Peter was the one that always second guessed everything. He was often the one that stopped the other Marauders from doing anything too extreme.
He was always the peacekeeper of the group.
The Marauders often confided in him because he would listen, always. He never judged what they said, or told them how to deal with it, he just listened.
Peter often came out with the most random comments at the most random times. It could be all silent and the next moment - “I’m in the mood for waffles”
He had a stutter in his first few years of Hogwarts, which made it harder for him to communicate to others.
There was never a time when he wasn’t hungry or tired, if any of the marauders wanted a buddy to sneak down to the kitchens with, you can bet your left sock that Peter would be their go to partner.
Never went much on parties and balls. Often he would stay back with Remus. Sometimes James would lure him into going. The only reason he ever enjoyed one was because of the food.
Sometimes he’d go for little strolls around the Black lake, by himself or with one of the others, just to get out and relax.
In the earlier years of Hogwarts, Peter would have a box filled with candy, he would hide various pieces around, as he knew the others liked to steal from the box. The others were always found “subtly” looking for them.
He was always the one who apologised for the marauder’s actions.
It always took him a minute to get jokes or puns, but it always made it all the more funny.
He was always the one kid that would trip over nothing.
