Long time no update. You could say life has been…. Well life has been complicated and hard and I’ve been wading through shit high as my armpits.

Stopped worked at the rock wall bc of an abusive work situation. Walked out morals intact and without a way to pay my bills.

Went into catering which honestly was worse financially long term so super lame but I did sit in meetings I really shouldn’t have. Catering is fun if only for the plot. Would be a great creative research lark but does not pay the bills.

Finally found a job!!! Goddess blessed me with this one. A small family business with two locations in the city and a wonderful support system. Kind people who supported me when my grandmother died. (Long story don’t worry I’m okay) They’ve made me feel more respected and successful than anybody else and I feel I genuinely add value as a person and through my work. Plus, I gent scolded if I worry too much about work! They *actually* value life work balance. I feel safe with them professionally and I feel genuinely supported, and for the first time in a long time I can leave work at work!

Either way, idk what the T-Minus Graduate degrees is… because it’s MESSY! I’m an artist! I’m in literature! The CSU system is rioting, there’s a genocide in Palestine, and I am so so small, just trying to keep it together.

I don’t have answers, or advice as im white knuckling it and surviving by the grace of my support system. Please, move forward with kindness and love, and know I’m rooting for you.

Don’t forget to hydrate (or dye str8) and take your Pillies (as prescribed).

day 1 (for me) of @spell-studies fall challenge!

what classes are you taking?

Art History (pre-history through the fall of the Roman Empire). So far this class has been fun, but I don’t exactly love getting up early to zoom in.

Applied Theatre. Would be so much more fun if anybody else in my class wanted to be there. It seems like the other five people there just took it for an easy A. It’s a bit frustrating trying to act with them, but the professor is really sweet, so I’m going to make the most out of it.

Geographical Information Systems. The first of many GIS classes going towards my minor. The material is hard, but my professor is amazing and I know she’ll see me through it.

Microcomputer Applications. Unfortunately, since we can’t all be in a lab working together, this class is going to be less than it would be any other semester. At the very least, it’s easy, and I could use that this semester.

Music and Multimedia. My absolute favorite course. In this course, I get to actually be in a classroom (with less than ten people, socially distanced, and all wearing masks), and using LogicXPro to actually make music. I’ve been having a blast making punk rock and lofi beats. Plus, it means I get to leave my house.

okay tumblr’s exclusion from the twitter social media ban list is hilarious but genuinely we do not belong on there. if a real human person asks “where can i find you on social media” and your choice is a swift death or revealing your tumblr, most of us would simply expire. half of y’all change urls every week like you’re in witness protection. just imagine for one second attaching your wholeass government name to your latest two am clownposting and tell me that didn’t send a cold chill down your spine. the only place i ever want to see the words “connect with me on tumblr!” is on the ao3 profile of an author i’m actively stalking. anyone in the world can follow me except anyone i personally know. antisocial media.
