Aphrodite, Goddess of Love and Beauty 💘

I've been messing with the idea of doing something with Ares and Aphrodite so here's my version of her 💖

I wanted to lean into a very pearlescent look to her. Born from seafoam, a gift from the ocean.

Hera - Goddess of Marriage, Queen of the Gods 🌟

Anyone with any sense knows that it's Hera that rules Olympus, not Zeus. While he is off with one of his lovers, it's Hera making sure things don't fall apart.

🌟 Appearance

- Created by Metis using the stars of heaven, her skin shimmers with starlight

- She likes to outfits with peacock motifs in reference to Argus, many-eyed giant and faithful servant to Hera. Hera uses his many eyes to create the peacock after his death. Argus still serves Hera, in a new incorporeal form.

- She's still a fan of non water proof mascara, for the dramatics

🌟 Marriage

- As Goddess of Marriage, faithfulness is just in her nature. No matter how much Zeus has cheated on her, she has never been unfaithful to him, nor will she ever be.

- She can't retaliate against Zeus for his affairs, so this results in a lot of poor women receiving Hera's wrath.

Pov: you're Apollo and Artemis is about to kick your ass

Since we're doing vampires vs werewolves on Art Fight this year, I'm legally obligated to try and revive my vampire OC I think I'm gonna name her Charlotte? For now at least? Idk

I'm gonna copy paste the blurb I typed out for her on Art Fight. Also here's the link to my art fight profile if you're interested.

🦇 Info 🦇 Born approximately 1785 Upper middle class family, somewhere on the east coast (idk where yet) Turned vampire ~1810s (so she was in her early to mid 20s)

🦇 Backstory 🦇 The story goes a vampire attacks Charlotte in her home. Her husband, Lucius, witnesses the attack and is powerless to stop it. The vampire drags Charlotte's body away. Lucius and a band of locals search and search for Charlotte but ultimately can only assume she was killed.

Lucius stays in that big empty house and never remarries. 30 year pass by, and there is never any sign of Charlotte or the man who attacked her.

A young widow in a black veil begins appearing at the gate to Lucius' home, leaving behind letters. The curls in her handwriting, the words she uses, even seeing the way she stands behind the fence, it all reminds him of his late wife all those years ago.

Eventually, he agrees to have dinner with her in his home.

They talk about their lives. He gives her his condolences for her late husband, and tells her of his wife and how they grew up together. He thought he would spend all their lives together…

The widow is, of course, Charlotte in disguise.

She only wanted to hear that Lucius had a happy life. That he'd moved on and found a new wife and had lots of children. But he waited for her. Long after he should have given up. She wasn't going to reveal herself but now, how could she not?

She lifted her veil and he couldn't believe his eyes. How was she still alive? How had she not aged a day since she was taken from him? But where has the life in her eyes gone?

Charlotte probably should have asked before turning him into a vampire, but she figured he would forgive her later.

Lucius doesn't have a design yet 🧍‍♀️ hopefully I will get that done before art fight

Time for Persephone to return to the land of the living. They're married at this point, I'm skipping around a lot sorry lmao. Crocuses are in their hair, one of the first flowers to bloom in the spring. Fresh and blooming in Persephone's, spent and wilted in Hades'. Hades sends her off with gifts. When she returns in the fall there will be even more gifts waiting for her. When Persephone spends extended amounts of time in the Underworld, she gets dark circles under her eyes. She tries to cover them up with dark eyeshadow and makeup. No one wants to admit it, but even if she could stay in the Underworld all year it would likely kill her.

Leto ☀️ Goddess of Motherhood

🌑 Info

- Reserved and modest, she is quiet and graceful

- Always wearing a veil. Underneath, her skin glows faintly

- she is a titaness in a world where the new generation of gods have taken over

- Zeus seduces her which results in her pregnancy with Artemis and Apollo

- She was already a social pariah, but this only made matters worse because no one would risk being seen with her, since they would be risking the wrath of Hera

I haven't made my Hera design yet but one of my goals is to make Leto and Hera more distinct than "Leto is Hera but with black eyes"

At first I wasn't going to keep Leto's black and white color palette but I read "Like her sister Asteria she may also have been a goddess of the night, or alternatively of the light of day." So I thought black and white is actually quite fitting

There's a lot of overlap in Hera and Leto's duties that make things awkward. Marriage and motherhood are very hand and hand. And I think the possibility of Leto being associated with night or stars while Hera is goddess of the sky and stars of heaven is also an interesting overlap

☀️ Apollo ☀️

His wrathful/true form takes on an appearance similar to Leto

- Since Leto is their mother, Hera is particularly resentful of Artemis and Apollo. Hera is not happy about any of Zeus's affairs obviously but this one was particularly angering because it was with an immortal (and titaness) instead of a mortal.

- Apollo knows about how Hera tormented his mother during her pregnancy and is resentful of Hera in return.

- He's very busy, since he is the god of many, many things (prophecy, music, poetry, archery, healing, protection of the young. There's more than this btw)

- He is very much loved by mortals and he enjoys it. He often visits the many temples built for him, giving gifts and prophecies to his worshippers

☀️ Artemis and Apollo

- Like I said on Artemis's post, Apollo and Artemis are twins but they aren't similar in appearance (plus that's not how opposite-gender twins work anyways lol) There's very contrasting appearance between them along with pretty opposite personalities.

- They have a great relationship between each other and are both pretty competitive, especially when it comes to archery

- They're always trying to do things for Leto, who is ostracized for being the last titan not locked up in Tartarus or forced into servitude, along with being hated by Hera.

I probably might as well do a Leto post sometime since I've done Artemis and Apollo lol

Messing with an Artemis redesign 🌙 I might tweak it a bit but I wanna have her hair change color according to the phase of the moon

Info 🌒 - Emphasis on her aspect of Goddess of the Hunt and PROTECTOR OF WOMEN 💪 - Around Persephone's age give or take (1500-2000? Idk like I said I need to make a timeline) - Athletic clothing when in Olympus - Spends most time in the mortal realm in forests or mountains - Meets Persephone while hunting - She has so many pets Side note about Apollo Idk if I'm gonna do much with Apollo but I plan on making him a gold color I think? I get why RS made Artemis and Apollo purple, to hint that they were children of Zeus and also twins but idk I feel like making Apollo purple makes no sense otherwise lol just because they're twins doesn't mean they have to look identical Also Apollo is not going to be an antagonist in my redesign, he likes being with mortals and being worshipped he doesn't really give af about the other gods for the most part lol

Hades - Redesigned/reimagined

+ Real missing his wife hours I'm not very good at drawing guys so his design will probably be very inconsistent and I apologize in advance lmao . 💎 General Info ~ Approximately 3000 years old when he meets Persephone (and she about 2000) (probably. I need to draw out a rough timeline lol) ~ Very intelligent and efficient. Respected and feared. ~ Keeps to himself whenever possible, the stigma of being the God of the Dead makes it hard to get along with other immortals. The concept of death can be disturbing to other gods ~ Comes off as very cold and scary but if you get to know him and spend any personal time with him you're just like wow he's just big ol softy With Persephone 🌷 ~ Hades meets Persephone when she starts visiting Olympus more often (How they met will have their own post, stay tuned) ~ They date for a few decades before getting married. The gods are long-lived so courtship is very slow paced ~ When Persephone departs for the mortal realm she leaves Hades special deathless flowers for him to wear and think of her ~ He can visit her in the mortal realm but only sparingly, as his presence kills all the plant life around him and he doesn't want to make her job harder ~ There are no cellphones in the mortal realm of course so they must communicate by letter ~ For all his eloquence, expensive pens, and fine stationery, he struggles to find the words he wants to say to her
