When you step into sunlight, you honor Apollo. When you admire the moon, you honor Artemis. When you admire cloud shapes, you honor Hera. When you smell petrichor, you honor Zeus. When you laugh at a joke, you honor Hermes. When your body twitches to dance at a particularly upbeat music, you honor Dinoysus. When you enjoy the first bite of your breakfast, you honor Demeter. When you choose your peace over any conflict, you honor Athena. When you warm yourself up by sheltering yourself in blanket, you honor Hestia. When you listen to Ocean sounds, you honor Poseidon. When you smell flowers, you honor Persephone. When you admire the coolness of first day of Autumn, you honor Hades. When you wear your favourite jewellery, you honor Hephaestus. When you smile, you honor Aphrodite. When you exercise, you honor Ares. When you light a torch in a dark room, you honor Hekate.
Your body is a shrine to Gods, your being an act of devotion for them. You, by yourself, are enough for them.

🌋 Subtle Hephaestus Worship ⚒️
Creating carvings/sculpturs; wood, soap, soapstone/gemstone, clay, etc.
If you're struggling with a disability, being kind and gentle with yourself; you are doing the best that you can
If struggling with medical conditions, research your treatment options; be well-educated on the subject to know your rights
Keep a picture of him in your wallet
Wear jewelry that reminds you of him
Collecting volcanic rocks
Have a candle that reminds you of him (no altar needed)
Have a donkey or crane stuffed animal
Have imagery of cranes, anvils/metalworking, or fire (cranes would likely be good for a Christian household)
Treating your body kindly; taking care of yourself physically
Support homeless shelters or organizations that assist the disabled
Light a bonfire in his honor; gather with loved ones around it or sit alone in peace
Make your house a home; honor your space, and make it your own
Try new hobbies/activities that allow you to work with your hands, especially creative and inventive endeavors
Learn about technology; try your hand at computers and the like
Support small businesses and artists, especially those that sell handmade items
Learn how to build/craft things, such as bird houses or diorama-like art pieces
Practice self-acceptance; give love to yourself, especially when you're having a difficult time
Take time to meditate alone or simply decompress by yourself for a bit
Drink hot chocolate, tea, or any warm and comforting drink
Making a list of positive things you encounter throughout the day; try doing this each day
Embracing all of your feelings, but allowing them to be felt and released
Practicing patience; a lot of handiwork and craft work will help with this
Spending time with loved ones, especially found family
Playing video games you enjoy
If you have any walking aids or similar, customizing them and making them your own
Having pictures of ancient Greek architecture around, especially the Temple to Hephaestus
Learning a new skill; improving learned skills
Selling your personal art/crafts; taking commissions for your work
Practice independence if it's something you struggle with (I'm not suggesting you isolate)
-
May add to this later on! For now, this is my list of discreet ways to worship Hephaestus. Take care, y'all; hope this helps someone! ❤️

Greek gods as feelings
Aphrodite: having a secret admirer, when you’re laying down listening to sappy songs because you can
Artemis:running around barefoot as a kid, when you sit down with your cat/dog after a long day
Apollo:learning how to play a new instrument, watching the sun rise with a cup of coffee
Ares: winning the argument that wasn’t really a argument , dancing in your room after dark because no one can stop you
Athena: finally understanding something that never made sense before, cursing at someone who deserved it
Demeter: the fact you are keeping that one (1) plant alive , eating fruit just because it tastes good
Dionysus: laughing so hard your ribs hurt, the warm feeling you get when someone uses the right pronouns
Hades: watching shitty horror movies and yelling at the screen, sitting around a Bon fire a little too late
Hephaestus: going to a museum by yourself right at the crack of dawn, getting your phone to work just by turning it off and on again
Hera: going to the zoo on a first date and eating cotton candy, watching your sibling play in the sprinklers
Hermes: winning bored games that were taking way to seriously, stealing an older siblings jacket for a party
Hestia: finally getting motivation to clean your room, going to a animal shelter to play worth the older animals
Poseidon: listen to waves as you fall asleep even if they’re just on your phone, going to a lake that you’ve never been to before
Zeus: hearing the wind out side your window later at night, driving home after dark on a clear night

At Disneyland, on the teacups...
Ares & Hephaestus: *snacking on treats as they watch*
Artemis, Athena, & Aphrodite: *talking and spinning calmly*
Apollo, Hermes, Persephone, & Dionysus: *flies past them, spinning wildly, screaming at the top of their lungs*

Low energy Devotional Acts for when you don’t have a lot of energy (or time, or money, etc.) pt. 6
🦚Hera🦚
- go through family (blood or not blood doesn’t matter!) photos, or photo albums and reminisce
- listen to a devotional playlist for Her
- wear peacock colored clothes (can be as simple as s blue hair tie on your wrist or green socks)
- be kind to children
- if engaged or married (or hell even just in a relationship) spend some time with your partner even if it’s just sending funny memes to each other
- watch documentaries about any of her sacred animals (cows, cuckoos, lions, peacocks)
- learn about lion conservation efforts
- if you have kids or any younger siblings watch a movie or show with them
- learn about the importance of battered women’s shelters
- (maybe this is just the Wisconsinite in me but) enjoy some dairy products if your able
- watch documentaries about monarchies or various queens
⚒️Hephaestus⚒️
- listen to a devotional playlist for Him
- learn about volcanoes
- watch documentaries about labor movements and worker’s rights movements (my personal favorite is battle of Blair mountain)
- if able take a break and rest
- learn about disability rights movements
- learn about blacksmithing, carpentry, sculpting, etc.
- if you use a mobility aid: use it
- be kind to service workers
- if able support small businesses
- watch glass blowing videos (I used to live in Virginia and we took a field trip to Jamestown and watching the glass blowers was so cool I’ve been obsessed with it ever since)
- watch one of those fireplace videos if you can’t light a fire for whatever reason (and if you do have an actual fire going practicing fire safety is also a great way to honor Hephaestus)
- learn your rights as a worker these vary from place to place so look them up and brush up on them to ensure you’re not being screwed over in any capacity

I saw a few people reply Hermes on the last post, so I've decided to create a new poll with him included!
I'd really appreciate if you could tell more on why you chose this God/Goddess in tags/comments!
Please reblog for a bigger sample size!

thinking of wine & alcohol for the gods and I cannot help but personally assign Hephaistos brandy. His genuinely would surely make him associated with the distillery, would it not? The metal vat crafted to create something new, something to combine metal of forges and nature of fermentation… truly divine, I think.
