As many of you know, today is Trans Day of Remembrance.
There are no words to express the utter loss our community has suffered this past year. Thirty nine of our siblings in struggle, many of whom were people of color, were killed in the U.S. since January 1 of this year. There may be others whose names we do not yet know. This is a time of mourning for the entire community, and we must hold each other close as we close out the year next month.
Take care of ourself today, and every day after this. Give yourself the time to feel, to experience, to love, to embrace as we remember these thirty nine names, faces, lives, people, and the ones who came before us.
We say their names - and remember their stories

During these times, it is helpful to remember one amazing woman.
Tumblr media
Marsha P. Johnson, a black trans woman. The first person to throw a rock at the Stonewall Riots. The riots that gave us LGBT+ individuals the rights we have today.
As members of the LGBT+ community, it is ignorant of us to forget the critical role that black individuals have played in our history.
This post isn't much, but there is so much we can do to help the black community. Go to protests, sign petitions, donate money to BLM charities.
As a white person, I understand that I will never understand. My sexuality, my gender has nothing to do with that. Yes, LGBT+ people are oppressed, but that doesn't change anything. That's on intersectionality.
I know this is a joke page, but I am very serious when I say, if you do not support BLM, unfollow me.

Happy International Day against LGBTQIA+phobia folks!
If someone is being mean I will kick them recklessly in the balls or the tiddies.
You deserve to feel proud. You deserve to be proud of being yourself in a society that tries to put you down.
We'll make it. We'll ruin the cishetamanotormative patriarcal society and future gens will be able to live even happier than we were. Even prouder. Even longer.

Imagine being so forgetful that you don't remember when Trans Day of Visibility is.
*facepalm*
I love you all, you're super valid. That day is for you, no matter your age, no matter how far through your transition you are, no matter your race, ability, sexuality. Even of you don't want to medically transition, even if you can't medically transition. Even if you want to and you're not out yet. Even if you can't come out because it's not safe.
You're here and that's enough. You're amazing and I'm proud of you for surviving this long!
Stay loud, stay proud, and don't let anyone tell you who to be!

Duolingo says trans rights!
(I'm not sponsored at all, but please do give the app a go! It's really fun and easy to use, and way more efficient than the way languages are taught in schools.)
