None of this works at all in the current rewrites, and for this reason, the entire India story (which is still important to the Voyage of the Devil's Eye) had to be rewritten from the ground up--plot, characters, history, and all."

"And rather just create entirely new characters for the sake of this part of the story, Immy and Cappn has decided to bring in most of the characters of Tiger Appreciation Day 2 into the India Arc as important supporting characters for the Dharmic Key, the legend of St. Emilio around it... and the tale of Sukhbir Kaur. In other words, we are now a part of Rashid al-Qadar's story--specifically his wife's. The one who ran away and is the reason for his Gluttony story."

"The best part of all this is that we don't have to be torn apart to adapt to the story--we're already fairly traditional! In addition, India as a country is going through the most tumultuous time in comparison to other regions visited in the 1720s like England, the Middle East, and China, as we would be during a time of war between the Mughals and the Marathas! This is also the time of the Khalsa Fauj, which was taking place after the 1699 death of the tenth guru, Guru Gobind Singh, but before the formal creation of the Sikh Confederacy in 1733. So if anything, the backdrop of our family history would be much more 'exciting' compared to our mundane and relatively peaceful modern day life in this blog. We'd be constantly on the move to avoid warzones as we are figuring out our place among the Khalsas.

“Speaking of supernatural cats, since Immy is working on a retiring/moving/creating some OCs for a new blog, I may as well share something: Back in the early drafts of our story ‘Devil’s Eye’, I used to have demons and fallen angels as associates, and one fallen angel, Urameil, often took on the form of a cat when interacting with humans. Since ‘Devil’s Eye’ dropped the idea of using angels due to the narrative mess it made, Urameil has been dropped from ‘Devil’s Eye’ proper and moved elsewhere. And is most likely not an angel anymore.

Reality Warpers and Reality Writers

You know that trope in fanfiction where a fan character seems to warp and rewrite the rules of that verse to according to their own desires and needs, regardless of the established canon?

Those are reality warpers and writers in the context of "Consolidations of a Dream".

Reality WARPERS are individuals who are real in the context of that reality, be they a fan character or an established canon character. They are WARPERS because the changing of that reality is in-universe and intended to be observed by at least some of those within that verse.

Reality WRITERS are individuals who are NOT naturally part of that reality, so either the author/writer, or a tulpa (typically a Steward type, but not always). Whatever changes of reality they make, they CANNOT be observed by those within that verse.

Any tulpa can be a Reality Writer, but that depends on who manifested them, how, why, how strongly, and if there is still strong, maintained link to the Cosmos. The only individuals who are Reality Warpers are typically magic users established or can be established in that canon (so wizards, chronomancers, etc).

So for instance: Harpreet was created to entertain, and then to love and be happy. He has no given power to rewrite reality, so he cannot be a Reality Writer unless his tulpamancer makes him so.

Parachai was created to cause chaos as an outlet of anger and despair, so he has some ability to warp reality, but only to the natural order of the world (basic levitation, shapeshifting, hypnosis, etc), hence such changes being able to be observed by people within that reality.

Mortiphael, on the other hand, is a VERY strong Reality Writer, so if he so wants, if you're falling into bankruptcy because you're behind on your mortgage, he can rewrite reality in that you lose that house, you never paid your mortgage, and now the next day, you are completely broke. And you have no idea why.

Thankfully Urameil is a Steward, so he keeps Mortiphael in check, usually by chucking him back into the Cosmos if he misbehaves too much.

So for an idea of what the main tulpa muses are in this blog are with these terminologies:

Val: Companion-turning rogue (as he was rejected by the individual he was created for). He's still around because his manifester is still around and is completely unaware he is a tulpa, thus expecting him to keep on existing even though the date was declined. He had a Dreamer who created him (and a stupid one, at that). If someone ships with him, he would become their Familiar.

Harpreet: Companion, through and through. Created with a purpose (to entertain, and later, to love and be happy). Became a Familiar as he was formally passed on from his manifester (a tulpamancer) to another human, hence breaking his bond to that tulpamancer and instead to who is now his wife. His existence now depends on the wife instead of the tulpamancer.

Parachai: Rogue. Had no real purpose but to be an outlet of anger and despair, and because the tulpamancer who created him (on accident) is still around and did not pass on his purpose to anyone else, Parachai continues to exist. Became a familiar at one point, but their bond was mutually broken, so he is a rogue again.

Urameil: Steward, formed from a collective conscience as opposed to one or few manifesters. Almost becomes rogue at some points of his story, but he just can't stray from his role in the reality he was created in.

Mortiphael: Rogue, and a powerful one at that. Able to rewrite reality for shits and giggles (more on reality warpers/writers later).

Oberion: Semi-rogue, otherwise a companion tulpa (and a maladaptive one at that). He can bond with others as their familiars, but you do NOT want him to be that.

The three down below are dropped characters from Devil's Eye, as they were originally demons/fallen angels associated with the Master. As we dropped lore that involved actual religious/folklore spirits, the three are repurposed as tulpas in this blog, as they serve similar creative purposes, just not as beings that aren't religious in origin.

Featured:

Valentine "Val" Wu: Brand spanking new tulpa, formed to be a lover but was rejected because he took on the form of a dead beloved for the person he was manifested for. Now without a purpose, he diverts his attention to just learning and experiencing humanity until he finds love elsewhere, and thus, a new purpose in existence. If this does not happen, there is a chance he will turn rogue, which may cause disorder and chaos in whichever reality he is in unless he returns to the Cosmos and ceases to keep on existing.

Val has the appearance of a Westernized Chinese man in his mid-twenties.

Harpreet Jee: Veteran tulpa, once created out of entertainment from an existing tulpamancer as general stage (boxing ring?) magic, now given his own life and humanity as the husband of Kyung Hee Jee (@thegravecartel ). Tries to watch over Val to make sure he doesn't go rogue and be his mentor on how to be human, all while maintaining the masquerade that Val is not real in whichever reality they're in.

Harpreet has the appearance of a late-20s Punjabi Indian man in traditional Indian clothing. His tulpamancer was Sikh, but Harpreet is not, so sometimes he will wear a pagri, sometimes he will not.

Parachai: Another older tulpa, created by accident by Harpreet's tulpamancer when that tulpamancer was undergoing an emotional crisis. Generally is Harpreet's energy opposite, with Harpreet being positive and Parachai negative. Nowadays is generally a meta manifestation of a 'troll' and peanut gallery-style of commentary, as he has outlived his initial "purpose" (be an outlet of anger) but still sticks around as a rogue tulpa.

Parachai looks identical to Harpreet but styles his facial hair differently. He wears just a dhoti and assorted traditional Indian jewelry.

Urameil: An example of a tulpa who was created out of a collective consciousness instead of a single dreamer or tulpamancer. He comes from a pocket of reality where other rogue tulpas threaten the fabric of that reality by taking people who are suffering into their own epiphanic prisons. At current, Urameil is focused on an incident of such taking place in 1821, Austria-occupied Venice.

Urameil appears like a giant man of European descent in his 50s-60s, with long red hair and whitened streaks indicating age. As he is formed from a collective consciousness instead of a single dreamer or tulpamancer, Urameil is an exceptionally powerful tulpa capable of shapeshifting; he sometimes takes on the form of a cat named Jinglebell or a Winged Lion.

Mortiphael: A tulpa of similar origins to Parachai--accidentally manifested out of a human undergoing emotional turmoil as an outlet. The difference is that Mortiphael eventually outlives his human and actively seeks out other miserable people to rewrite their realities... to make them more miserable. Urameil generally keeps reins on him to make sure he doesn't go too crazy with rewriting reality, usually by threatening him that the Cosmos is watching, and that Mortiphael can cease to exist at any given time.

Mortiphael appears like a curly-haired blond Englishman in his late teens, usually wearing assorted punk clothing or a fur-lined denim jacket.

Oberion: Another rogue tulpa, this time with a living human who created him on accident. A manifestation of trauma bonding, Oberion seeks out others besides his human to trap them in a cycle of misery and abuse. Like Mortiphael, he is capable of reality rewriting and warping, thus making him the perfect gaslighter. Unlike Mortiphael, Urameil DOES destroy him and sends him back to the Cosmos... but the motherfucker keeps coming back as long as the human who created him demands him back.

Oberion takes on the form of whomever he is trauma-bonded with their abuser. By 'default' of his original human, he is in the form of an early 20s man of African descent with jheri curls.

Human characters in this blog will be introduced later.

“I’m still around because people enjoy me for the chaos I bring. Can you believe the thirst I inspire from some?”

“I thought I’d inspire thirst! I’m not a 100% of the dead lover’s form! I’m taller, have less fat and more muscle, my head isn’t shaven to a queue, and an eight inch-”
