When you are shuffling through books and find a wild Pokémon card. More specifically a Pikachu. Does this make me Ash Ketchum cause now I wanna be the very best, like no one ever was…

"I've been to a couple! Castelia City usually has a pretty decent pride event, considering all the businesses that are around, so I've been to a few! It's a lot of fun, actually."

She hummed softly, rocking back and forth on her heels. No matter if she was eager for the festivities, the chance at making a new friend always seemed to sway her. So, even though her shiny Purrloin was climbing his way up onto her shoulders and peeking over the top of her head at the stranger, she giggled brightly. A puffy Growlithe settled by her side, prompting her to reach down to pet his head.

"My name's Bella, by the way! I hope you're having a good time!"

With Legends Z-A, I gave him the unavoidable design. I had written so much background and trying to get it on Insta was a hassle, but luckily I’ll be able to fully put it here with no issues,,:

It was hard to steer from the typical older Emmet look but I tried my hardest to make it seem like it would’ve been. I tried looking up France fashion from 1600-1900 but it was either some ridiculous outfits or suits, and since it mentioned the redevelopment of Lumiose City, it was either working up from something like Jubilife village or was upgrading from what it already is. I’ve heard a lot of theories that Legends Z-A will be taking place in the future or bounce back from future to past, but since it’s hard to incorporate futuristic outfits without knowing “how futuristic” it’ll be, I stuck to something from a layer time period in France. I drew him more of a square shape in his eyes instead of triangular, both to signify age and his lost connection with Ingo. Maybe not a permanent design but I think it adds a lot to his demeanor. He kept Basic stuff like he still has his coat, hat, etc. because Ingo got to keep all his old stuff too, but since the trailer looked more modern and Pokémon were with people, I don’t think it would be all destroyed like Ingos just cause it seems like a more civilized nation alongside pokemon and if it really did get destroyed in some way, I have a feeling he would be able to get it repaired without it getting ruined again. Also in terms of the suit I think the darker color is a good parallel to Ingos pearl clan outfits lighter colors. A lot of the design choices were meant to parallel him anyways. Since Ingo had lost his gloves in his Hisui design, giving Emmet new ones felt appropriate for some reason. In terms of the cane I gave him, not only is he an old man, I think it’s kinda needed. Ingo had that little wristband to signify he was a warden, while I think the cane could be useful for a mega stone wink wink nudge nudge. Cute little accessories for them I’m so nice 💀 he could definitely have a slower lifestyle in comparison to Ingo, and I definitely could see him working at Lumiose Station (if it exists in this game) and even though he would most likely have his memory wiped too, Ingo still said the same train themed quotes even with his memory gone, and even then he still had SOME memory, it was just very faint. Emmet definitely could feel some “connection” to the station and say stuff like “Some late nights I think I see a man who looks like me, but upon second glance it’s just my imagination. Even if I can’t seem to shake it from my mind, it seems I still wish to see him again…” anywho for the drawing, I made a few references. The main one just being a reference of design, but the one in the top right corner was a small reference to Alabaster Icelands. I’ve seen a lot of people use the snow to give Ingo flashbacks to Emmet, and while I think my station one is more closely related to Ingos darker color scheme, I think having him in the snow was a good nod to that. The bottom right corner was a reference to a drawing (that probably most people already know what I’m referencing) that had Pokémon that I thought resembled them, and one of the ones I had included for Ingo was Klefki. So just a little salt to the wound (it wasn’t even that bad.) Anywho, I know the design isn’t very refreshing, but I tried to keep it as canonical as possible.

More ability forms, this time for Banette! (ft phantump)

Some banettes are formed from dolls that have music boxes inside of them. Their pull string is damaged, and can never retract fully, causing the music box to play discordant music forever. These banettes can never rest properly and are constantly exhausted, sitting slumped in corners with limp arms. They are also the most aggressive due to their lack of sleep, willing to lash out viciously at the slightest misstep. Forever plagued by insomnia, these banettes have deep purple eye bags.

Since many banettes are found in long-forgotten places, they must be able to hunt for berries and items to survive. These banettes grow long fingers to search in every crevice they come across, and have a zippered pouch on their stomach for storing their finds. In battle, these banettes are particularly adept at frisking their opponents to find items that they have hidden.

Very rarely, a banette with the "cursed body" ability can be found. During their time as a doll, these banettes were the sworn protectors of the child that owned them. Having failed in their duty, they were filled with enough rage to come to life as a pokemon. Forever the loyal guardian, this banette will stay by the side of its child, even when they too become a pokemon, having met an unfortunate end deep within the woods. It will not fail again.

Phantumps change abilities with the seasons. In winter, they lose their leaves and gain "frisk" to help them find food. In spring, they grow flowers and gain "natural cure". In summer and fall, they grow leaves and berries, gaining the "harvest" ability.

Most phantumps have white flower petals in the spring. However, there is an old story about cherry blossoms, about how the petals turn pink after absorbing blood...

Hazbin Hotel Gang React To Reader with Pokemon Part 1

❥Summary- A new demon has arrived to the hotel, but they aren't alone.

❥Notes: I always wanted to see how the habzin hotel characters would react to different type of pokemon

Charlie Morningstar🌈 + Pikachu⚡️

🌈The minute Charlie saw the yellow little creature on your shoulders, she squealed so loud it nearly broke the hotel windows. "OH MY SATAN!!! WHO IS THIS ADORABLE LITTLE CUTIE?!?!" She grabbed pikachu off your shoulder and began nuzzling her face into it, which surprised pikachu, causing her to get shocked by its lighting. Charlie was okay, since apparently being hellborn gave her an immunity to it, yet it did fuzz her hair a bit.

🌈You apologized profusely, saying that pikachu often zapped people whenever they were upset or scared. Pikachu even gazed at Charlie in concern, feeling bad that they had accidentally used their lighting on her. Charlie said it was absolutely fine, continued to hold pikachu like it was an adorable plushie.

🌈Her curiosity with Pikachu only escalated as she has never seen a creature like that in hell before. It was true she has Razzle and Dazzle, as they were created by her father when she was a child, but Pikachu was something rare. When you said to her that they were your companion when you were alive, and even when you came to hell, they came with you. Oh now that really confuse Charlie, but she was gonna think about it later as she still had a hotel to run.

🌈Pikachu was protective of both you and Charlie, whenever someone would threatened or insult the both of you in any way, that demon was going to get a tasteful of lightning rod.

🌈Her pet cat, Keekee, was best friends with Pikachu. Literally the two of them would be running around playing, or snuggled up next to each other, sleeping. Charlie took so many photos of the cuteness, sending them to you, which made you happy. Literally the three of you had become the bestest of friends and nothing could break it apart.

Vaggie🎀 + Vivillon🦋

🎀 Vaggie was untrustworthy with anyone that came into the hotel. You can't blame her since it was hell, so she didn't know what to expect when she saw you enter through the hotel door being introduced by Charlie. Her spear was gripped tightly in her hand, ready to strike if you pulled a move.

🎀 The hold on the spear had loosened when she saw the large flying object moving behind you. "What on earth is that?" she thought, her eye continuing to examine it. She quickly realize it was a large butterfly like creature, adorning different colored patterns on its wings. Its face was adorably cute, as it continued flying next to you with a smile.

🎀 Making your way over to her, Charlie extended a hand out towards Vaggie, introducing you to her as her girlfriend. "Hello. Nice to meet you." Reaching your hand out for a shake, Vaggie hesitated before moving her hand to join yours in a proper handshake, "Umm nice to meet you too. Who is that flying next to you?" Vaggie's eyes motioned to the large flying butterfly. "Oh that's Vivillon! They were my companion when I was still alive. They are very friendly, don't worry." Vivillon flew closer to Vaggie and started flying around her head, wearing a cute smile, which earned a small chuckle from Vaggie.

🎀 After that initial meeting, Vaggie began to establish a small friendship with you, yet still kept her distance in case something happened. While she kept her distance a bit with you, she couldn't keep her distance away from Vivillon, it was too cute. The patterns on its wings were very mesmerizing to Vaggie, she wanted to stare at them all day, but she wouldn't since that would be awkward.

🎀It was sweet how close Vaggie and Vivillon had gotten. If they weren't with you, they were either watching Vaggie train with the spear or helping Vaggie with her hair, since it really enjoyed helping her tie the red hairbow. The day Vivillon realized Vaggie had wings, it was overjoyed. The both of them would often go out and fly all over the Pride ring, as a way to relax and escape the chaotic nature in the hotel for a bit. It was surprising to everyone including Charlie just how close Vaggie had gotten with your companion, since she wasn't close with anyone except Charlie, but hey it was still cute to see.

Angel Dust🕷 + Smoochum💋

🕷Angel was lounging around in his room with Fat Nuggets, back against the bed as the adorable pig was nuzzling inside his chest fluff. That moment was ruined when a loud knock came from the door, nearly causing him to fall off the bed. "ANGEL!!! HURRY!!! WE HAVE A NEW GUEST!!" Charlie voice rang out, as he heard the sounds of hurried steps leaving his door. Groaning, Angel slowly moved Fat Nuggets off of his chest, placing him softly on the bed, as he swung his feet and ventured to the door.

🕷Having arrived to the lobby of the hotel, Angel eyes scanned the area, wondering who decided to give this rinky dink hotel a try. He was able to notice you, standing in the middle of the room, conversing with Charlie, while holding something in your arms. Walking closer to you, Angel bent down, lips drawn into a smirk, exposing his golden tooth. "Hiya toots, the names Angel Dust." You smiled at him, and offered him a kind hello. Angel eyes then looked down at what you were holding and realized it was blinking at him. "AHHH WHAT IN THE HELLS IS THAT?!?" Screaming in fear, Angel had backed up a couple of steps, pointing to the object in your arms.

🕷Jumping a bit at his reaction, you looked down at your companion while going back to Angel. "Ohh its just my companion, don't worry, they won't attack you, I swear." Putting Smoochum down, its adorable little eyes gazed at Angel Dust, before waddling over to him. Angel continued to stare at them, having calm down at bit, watching as the little pink creature waddle to him and stared up at him cutely. It raised its hands up towards Angel, saying "Smoochum❤" Angel still felt unsure on what to do, but he decided to bend down and pick her up, placing her in front of his face, eyeing them with curiosity. Smoochum smile at Angel and gave him a little peck on the cheek, earning a small blush from Angel, eyes growing soft at the little affection he received. "Her name is Smoochum and yes like her name, she often greets people she meets with a smooch."

🕷Angel continued to hold Smoochum, admiring its cute face and adorable eyes before looking back at you. "Usually I charge freaks to smooch little old me, being a porn star and all, but I'll make it an exception for this cute little doll here." Angel nuzzled his face against Smoochum, earning him another kiss to his other cheek, prompting a giggle from both him and you. After that interaction, Angel Dust and Smoochum became the definition of BFFs.

🕷You noticed that both Smoochum and Angel Dust like to make sure their appearances were maintained, as you got both of them looking into a handheld mirror, checking their reflection. Angel Dust would always be experimenting with other looks and makeups, even dolling up Smoochum a little bit, which made her very happy. Smoochum was also the their to help Angel, whenever he was in a bad mood. She didn't really know what the reason was, since of course Smoochum wasn't aware about Valentino, but she was always their to comfort Angel with a little smooch and a warm hug, which Angel dust really appreciated.

🕷Angel Dust had introduced Smoochum to Fat Nuggets, wanting to see the two of them get along. Smoochum had greeted Fat Nuggets with a little smooch, earning a happy oink from the adorable pig, and a returning lick to Smoochums cheek. Yep, those two would get along really well. You had stumbled on the three of them in Angel Dusts room, with Angel fast asleep on his bed, with both Fat Nuggets and Smoochum cuddling in his chest fluff. The scene was so precious, you had to take a photo to show to Angel Dust later, as well as make it your new wallpaper on your phone.

Yandere Houndoom(Pet-Like)

As someone who has a Houndoom as my fire and dark type in Brilliant Diamond right now (Her name is Hellena), I'll happily write for the hellhound :)

Overprotective! Houndoom Concept

Pairing: Platonic/Pet/Animal-like

Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Clingy behavior, Violence, Overprotective behavior, Attempted murder, Possessive behavior, Arson, Jealousy implied, Despite the source material this is dark, like really dark.

Houndooms would be quite terrifying of they were overprotective of a trainer.

Sure, you may think they'd be just loyal dogs.

Yes, but recall their Pokedex entries?

Most entries say essentially the same thing.

Houndoom has a fire that when someone is burned by it, the burn lasts forever.

This Pokemon is also often considered the "Grim Reaper" due to the howls it produces according to other dex entries.

So, no, Houndoom is not just some dog Pokemon.

I imagine you took one in as a Houndour, which makes the Pokemon extra attached to you.

That or maybe you managed to tackle the feat of catching one in the wild.

I'd imagine a wild Houndoom would take more time to get used to their trainer.

At first they reluctantly follow beside you when you let them out of their ball.

They listen in battle but there's no connection quite yet.

It's not until you stroke their fur, walk alongside them, and train them that they get attached.

Your Houndoom all of a sudden starts getting used to all this praise and warms up to you.

You often take them on a walk through routes and battle with trainers.

You try to train them well as you don't want an accident happening.

You are aware of the danger a Houndoom can cause outside of their ball,

One wrong move and the second a fire breath ignites from their mouth?

Chaos.

For the most part your Pokemon seems well behaved.

They adore you petting them and often wrap around you when resting.

I imagine if a Houndoom became overprotective of a trainer or human they adore they'd get violent.

First it's things like growling, barking, and roaring.

During walks you end up having your Houndoom jump in front of you and show aggressive behaviors.

Wild Pokemon quickly skitter away, which is useful at times but annoying at others.

Then you grow concerned when your Houndoom decides humans are also a threat to their precious trainer.

As a result you keep them in the ball more often.

The most dangerous part of a Houndoom is indeed their fire.

Their claws and teeth are quite bad, yes, but at least the pain subsides then.

Their fire? The pain is forever.

Think about this.

Maybe while you go to sleep at night your Houndoom breaks out of their ball.

Sometimes it's innocent and they curl up around you, wanting the warmth of their trainer.

Other times they leave your home... looking for what, exactly?

They're looking for Pokemon and humans that could have hurt you.

Houndoom is obviously a Fire type, yet they are also a Dark type.

Your Houndoom may not care about the chaos it causes.

As long as they keep their trainer safe they could care less how they do it.

During the night your Houndoom targets random wild Pokemon to get stronger and vent frustration before returning to you.

However, if they're feeling extra ambitious, maybe they target people.

Maybe your Houndoom decides to target your rival... or someone else close to you.

Maybe your Pokemon doesn't like the humans around you.

By the time you wake up in the morning you see it on the news.

A house caught on fire, the survivors having burns that never seem to go away.

They're disfigured and in so much pain.

The report strikes fear in you.

Sure, wild Pokemon sometimes end up attacking humans, it happens.

Yet it seems oddly targeted....

You knew these people.

You try to tell yourself things will be fine.

It's nothing, it's just a wild Pokemon attack.

But as you pack your things to leave your home, your eyes drift towards the ball containing your Houndoom.

You don't want to believe it, in fact you shut the thought out...

Part of you still manages to think your own Pokemon was behind the fire...

But that couldn't be true... could it?

I understand that gyarados are extremely high-needs pokemon that require a ton of resources, training, and enrichment, but they still seem like such cool pokemkn to me that I always find myself kinda wishing I could care for one even though I'm not cut out for it lmao

Anyway, I was going to ask if you had any fun facts about the evolution line to share? Learning weird facts is my way of coping with how many pokemon I'll never have the chance to meet lol

I understand you probably don't have a lot of interaction with them though, given you mostly work in a shelter

i have had the pleasure of meeting with the cascarrafa aquarium's gyarados keeper a couple of times and getting to meet the gyarados he trains! part of my preparation for my dragon handler's license was learning about non-dragon types that often get grouped in with the dragons. they really are incredible pokemon.

gyarados are what you get when one of the world's hardiest pokemon evolves into a tremendous pokemon capable of surviving treacherous environments. unfortunately, due to the way this changes electrical patterns in their brain, evolution also causes them to become extremely aggressive. because they're able to handle environments unfit for many other pokemon, they aren't particularly cautious about maintaining the integrity of their territory, which contributes to their ability to completely devastate the area around them during an aggressive fit (often called a "rampage"). these rampages are difficult to control, and a lot of gyarados training is focused on giving them the proper outlets for their energy without encouraging them to get worked up or to feed into that aggressive tendency. the keeper i met with has specially reinforced pokeballs as well as potent tranquilizer on hand in the event of an emergency. in the wild, these rampages have been known to occur in clusters of activity lasting as long as a month, but thankfully good management and training goes a long way to preventing them.

i'm particularly fascinated by their powerful jaws, which are often seen gaping open as they swim or fly. gyarados have both lungs and gills, and they can push several hundred thousand gallons of water an hour through their mouth and over their gills while swimming. their bite force has been recorded at an incredible 22,000 psi!

Waking up streamer Bakugou in the middle of the night because you love Pokemon but you've never been the best at identifying them past their cuteness and need help filling out a squad because of some little Pokemon quiz you took at four am.

"Why are you up?" His voice is groggy as you crawl into his bed with your phone, he wraps his arms around you. It makes your heart race but he's only this nice when he's half asleep.

"I need help."

"Mentally? Yea Princess I know." He yawns, okay so see he could still be a prick half asleep. You nudge him with your elbow, adjusting your phone so he could see.

"No I need help picking ghost Pokemon." He squints at your phone pulling you closer causing his body to press into yours. You swallow thickly as you tell yourself he's just trying to see.

"Surprised you don't just have six gengars." He sees you have two, one being in it's mega evolution. He tries not to take the phone from you, watches you scroll as he points out a few, "Whats this for?"

"I took a quiz and I got ghost type for my gym." You add banette and mismagus, "I wish I could have Blaziken..."

"Oh yea? Yer a gym leader?" He tuts thinks of your chaotic strategy the few times he's battled you or watches your play through on stream, "Balziken is a fire fighting so yea can't have em in yer gym, sides he's ass, his mega is only half decent."

"Excuse you, Blaziken has powerhoused through gyms I probably should have used a different type for but he's never let me down!" You tut adding spirithomb and giratina, feeling happy with your choices, "And yea a gym leader. I'm a good one too. This is what I look like."

You show him a little picture of you that you created and he rolls his eyes.

"Let me take this damn quiz." He reaches over and grabs at your phone, squishing you even more but it's pleasent, how his bare chest feels against your back. Warm even through your t-shirt and if you closed your eyes you were sure you'd fall right asleep.

You had any other time you crawled into his bed at some god awful hour.

Suddenly his warm palm is squeezing against your side, his deep voice soft when he speaks "Ya awake?"

"Y-yea." You rub your eyes not sure how long you were out but it was long enough he took the quiz, made his little character AND picked his Pokemon squad. Which for Bakugou it normally took ages.

"Got fightin." He shows you his squad, he's got Machamp, Mankey, Gallade, Marshadow, Lucario, and a Balziken.

Seeing your favorite on there makes your heart race.

"I thought Blaziken was ass." You quip and he rolls his eyes.

"He is." He crushes you to him, almost painfully before he adds, "But someone has to train your favorite Pokemon to be a champion."

thoughts on giving pokemon to kids and allowing them to compete? i heard that they're starting to put more strict regulations on that stuff (at least in my region idk if it's global)

i think it's a dumb lost cause. 10 year olds have been pokémon trainers for centuries and there's preschools and schools set up for adolescent training literally everywhere. no law can keep a 6 year old girl away from her scolipede best friend

I'm trying to be a poison type trainer, but it's not that easy, I was wondering if you could help with advice or tips?

Ahhh Mister,,, idk about that hahah ^^;

I do have some advice however!!!!!!

Excess of pecha berries on you at all times, no exceptions. These will not reverse all of the damage done by having poison in your system but they will buy you enough time to get help.

Do extensive research before adopting a poison type. They are not 'beginner' pokemon, and require a lot of hard work and experience. Some more "beginner" poison types would be the oddish, bulbasaur and arbok ine. You know your situation better than I do, and it's best to do your own research and consider what pokemon you can realistically care for

Invest the right gear. yes, gloves, and gas masks are good. But only if you wear them consistently. And you know what else is good too? Long sleeved clothing!! Do not train your nidoran in shorts oh my god!!

Be patient. Poison types usually secrete poison as a stress mechanism, and a lot of pokemon are extremely in tune to their trainers emotions. Basically if you're stressed and upset, they're stressed and upset, and more likley to poison you on accident.

Your health and saftey is THE MOST IMPORTANT THING. Do not ever neglect your health for your pokemons. You can always work on a pokemons behavouir later, or heal your pokemon at a centre later. Poison types cause the most deaths among their trainers than any other pokemon, and this is because people do not take their own health into account. I would recommend getting a health checkup done every few weeks with a GP.

Ever deal with Elgyem and Beheyem?

I have an Elgyem, Iggy, he's a sweet one, but I dont discuss him much due to his particular shyness, and the nature of his skills. My mother had a Beheyem, it was an unnerving pokemon to live around as a child, it was not kind nor fair in its treatment of others, and I think it's purpose in the house made me cautious around the species as a whole, but that waryness is not without reason.

Because of their abilities, Val has been trained to block their mind altering powers out. That feeling of something in your head gives you an instant pressure headache, can change memories and is sometimes enough to cause panic attacks, you can assume the worse if one hits you with its skills and you dont realise it. You do however, forget the second they stop using their powers on you normally, they wipe their presence from your memory most of the time so they dont get caught, sneaky pokemon. The few we've had handed in to us have been particulalry harsh, very difficult to handle, the more well adjusted pokemon don't often make it to us unless theyre grass types or native species who're handed in during times when the mainland centres can't handle the volume of patients.

Thanks to Val we can work with even violent individuals without our staff being thretened or erased in any way. Though they don't show up in this neck of the woods very often, not a pokemon you see in Johto much unless its migrated or been released. They tend to be loners, but can hang around in pairs, so keep your wits about you if see one, another may be hiding.

As a species goes, they’re in line with golette and bronzor ect, their power source is quite mysterious, they have organs that aren’t anything like other species, and as a whole tend to be shrouded in a great deal of mystery in the community, some scientists have tried to harness this bracket of pokemon as long term energy sources, but it was a practice deemed unethical very quickly. It however doesnt stop it happening sometimes in underground schemes and dens, much to our disgust within the pokemon care giving community.

They also seem to work similarly to claydol, in that they have a frequency network of psychic energy that they communicate on, along with their flashing lights used to stun and confuse targets, and their series of chirpy beeps. They aren’t nourished by solid foods, and from what researchers have gathered they draw power from the moon’s light, sitting out in it when possible. Theyre very efficient pokemon, metabolisms seem to run very slowly, and dont tend to rest much for days on end, which can be difficult in a more ordinary setting for trainers.

They have a curious nature, and can get into trouble a lot, but theyre very smart, and very quick to want to know what things are, so anynoe raising one should give them a whole heap of enrichment, puzzles, strategy games, show them new items, explain things to them. Theyre a great pokemon for people who have allergies as they dont trigger any, an innate being. They can be hard to socialise with other pokemon but not always.

This is certainly not a pokemon for the feint of heart, nor beginners. Theyre known to start altering their trainers memories when they want to get their own way, so play it safe, and be alert. Like any other pokemon however, they have a lot of charm and love to give if theyre a good match for you, I suppose keep an open mind on the species as a whole. Raised well and with love theyre excellent, intelligent companions.

My two cents on the whole 'ride Pokemon aren't nobles' debacle with PLA; I frankly think its kinda dumb that they made a big deal in game about the Ten Pokemon that fought with the Ancient Hero... but only treat half of them as worthy religious figures for whatever reason.

I've always approached it as there being two different levels of Nobles - The Greater/Offensive (aka the canon Nobles™️) and the Lesser/Defensive (aka the canon Ride 'mons). The Offensive ones are those that would take battles head-on to keep it far away to protect the Clans whereas the Defensive would focus on directly keeping the Clans safe. Hence why they would over time become the Ride 'mons, as they would carry people safely away from the dangerous battles.

The Ride mons might get a little less direct respect overtime because the common person is simply more familiar with them, more chummy, compared to the others who keep their distance and cause people to fall back on overly respectful to make up for any discomfort. But they are ultimately all still Nobles at the end of the day.

Of course, this is just my fanon take. It certainly is my approach for the Catching Trains fic (not that its been of much focus lol). But it's my sandbox too so I figure I'll build castles the way I like.
