you’ve grown accustomed to the plush mattress of the master suite on the princess andromeda — despite never sleeping on it.

you know the best combination of pillows to pile up under your back when luke props you up onto the headboard so you don’t feel that ache in your lower spine from the awkward angle.

you know not to sit too close to the edge of the bed — more towards the middle, so that when luke spreads your thighs so far apart you can feel the burn in the crease of your groin, your knee doesn’t knock against the edge of the nightstand and make you hiss into his mouth.

you know not to grip the fitted sheet between your knuckles because it always comes loose from the mattress whenever you do, so instead you squeeze luke’s hip, scratch on his back.

you also know that the bruises on his knuckles aren’t from inflicting pain on other people, but from slipping his hand in the space between the headboard and the wall to cushion the banging noise that comes from his persistent thrusts into you. you know the blood stains on his t-shirt aren’t from a nasty battle, but from that time you bit into his shoulder so hard you broke skin.

you know that if his right hand twitches at his side, you should ready your spear for a fight, but if his left hand stars twitching, you should start loosening the straps of your armour.

you weren’t stupid. so which one was it? was it the perky daughter of aphrodite? the rugged but submissive son of ares? which one was luke keeping that special eye on? which one got extra special attention, better missions, time alone with luke in the state room?

you shouldn’t be as bothered as you are — but it’s not jealousy. no, it’s just…worry. you worked too hard to get where you are for some newbie to come along and ruin it for you after two weeks on the ship. they didn’t deserve what you had.

that much was made abundantly clear when luke put you in charge of an extraction mission in washington. what a fool he was, picking the newbies to join your team. they weren’t ready for something so taxing. it took almost a month before you were sent on your first extraction, what was so special about them?

it appeared tyche was on your side that day. you were too angry to think rationally and just went in swinging, not a care for strategy or form. and even though luke’s new bimbos provided zero help, you managed to wrangle yourselves out alive and successful.

you stormed your way back onto the andromeda without so much as a glance in their direction. straight to the state room, straight to where luke was waiting for a mission report.

“did kronos smack you upside the head?”

well, you weren’t giving him a report. you were done — he could do whatever he wanted with his new toys, you didn’t care. but don’t send them on missions they aren’t ready for just because they’re an easy lay. your words were sharp talons, just like he’d taught you — and he stood there and took it. face placid, hands in his pockets, calm and quiet until you were done.

and when you were, he laughed.

that asshole laughed at you. perfect teeth on display, sword swinging as he rocked on his feet in complete hilarity. you could tuck your tail between your legs and walk off, let him dump you.

or you could remind him of all the things you know — all the things his warm bodies would never learn, because they weren’t you.

you’d only seen such visceral shock on his expression once, and that was when percy jackson highjacked the boat. this time, however, it was because you had folded your arms, tilted your head, and told him to take off his pants.

and he did — ah ah, slowly. he unbuttoned his cargos and pushed them to his ankles, all the while holding a sick smirk and even sicker eye contact.

and just before he could remove his shirt on your command, he huffed, “just so you know. i wouldn’t take orders like these from anyone else but you.”

I have a HC that in the life games the players hybrid traits get more prominent as a way for the watchers to promote more chaos, and so Scar gets his vex wings - now here comes the Plot.

Grian seems to be avoiding Scar. Leaving scar hurt and confused, and that also means Scar hasn't really gotten a chance to ask him about caring for his wings, so he goes to Jimmy instead.

Little does he know, Grian's been avoiding Scar because his avian instincts Cannot Handle seeing him with wings, (+ shirtless ALL the time) and when he sees Jimmy preening his wings he gets incredibly jealous and .....things ensue

🃏 ⤷ The Lord of Misrule (Deep-Diving into Twelfth Night #3)

The Lord of Misrule was a common job-role held in many upper-class courts, particularly during the Christmas season, across England, Scotland and France. Whilst it is argued to be a long-standing English custom, there are arguments that the practice began long before with the Roman festival of Saturnalia, where 'mock kings' were appointed for the Saturnalia feast and then sacrificed. When the Christian festivities gradually took over, the Lord of Misrule became a common role seen across wealthy households.

The character seen in the Christmastide Elizabethan courts, had the role of ensuring that party-appropriate revelries were taking place - which often included encouraging drunkenness, singing, pantomimes, games and dancing.

It can be argued that this role is paralleled in Twelfth Night through the character of Sir Toby - who is seen as a comic relief character throughout the play because of his engagement with the above activities. Additionally, due to the festival titled in the play, the idea of his role being the Lord of Misrule is further promoted - perhaps providing and guiding the enjoyment for not only other characters on stage but also for the audience observing.

Sir Toby is a character who's scenes appear regularly throughout the play, often appearing directly after a more earnest scene may have played out from the main-plot. His comical antics and behaviours that he often leads with other sub-plot characters (including Sir Andrew, Maria, Fabian and Feste) allow for the light-hearted comedy to be reintroduced back onto the stage, ensuring that even when discussing melancholy themes such as unrequited love, that the comedy aspect of the play is not lost.

Examples of this include:

Following Act I, Scene II - where the audience see Viola wash up the shores of Illyria and deal with the sudden realisation of the 'death' of her brother - Sir Toby is introduced immediately in Act I, Scene III, where a central theme in this segment is about his love for drinking and his previous late-night carousing, immediately showing the audience that this character is a carefree and joyful individual.

SIR TOBY: ...I am sure care's an enemy to life. (Twelfth Night 1.3.117)

Furthermore:

MARIA: They that add, moreover, he's drunk nightly in your company. (Twelfth Night 1.3.149)

After the audience witness both Sebastian's arrival in Illyria (following a similar pattern of grief to his sister) in Act II, Scene I; as well as Viola's monologue the love complications introduced in Act II, Scene II- Sir Toby leads a jolly scene complete with songs and drinking with Sir Andrew and Feste. Songs sung include 'O Mistress Mine', 'Hold thy Peace' and 'The Twelfth Day of December'.

SIR TOBY: Thou'rt a scholar; let us therefore eat and drink. Marian, I say! a stoup of wine! (Twelfth Night 2.3.713-714)

Overall, it may be argued that the character of Sir Toby is used by Shakespeare to reflect the figure of the Lord of Misrule commonly seen across the Christmastide and Twelfth Night celebrations of upper-class Elizabethan courts - and is used in such a way that he can create an effective amount of comic relief throughout a play so heavily focused on the serious themes of love and grief, keeping true to the genre of the play itself.

This person is on something pretty regularly, enough that it keeps them in a confused or altered state a good portion of the time. That could be what caused this connection to fail. You don’t speak at all that I can tell. They want to heal a relationship with you and have something more stable, and at least talk to you about that. I don’t get Devil or toxic energy from this, nor depression, illness, or anything destructive, their energy is hard to figure out, but they’re out of sorts and not open with you about how they feel. They want to be 🤷‍♀️

• That day I literally just woke up, and police showed up. Eunide Garçon (formerly Edouard) was outside, downstairs. A former church member I haven’t seen in years.

• My parents don’t even know why they were there.

• The police didn’t even ask questions. I just started talking.

• They came, left, then came back upstairs looking like they were on a mission and took me to FMC.

• Discharges that nurses didn’t follow through on are asterisk marks. Blue.

• There were social experiments.

• A Sunday when a doctor was present, a nurse finally did her job (paperwork) after randomly acting as if we had some friendship not wanting to speak to me when I had questions. She then got upset the doctor checked her & that I was expressing myself in that moment which is good for me, in my room. She suddenly came into the room & shot me up with a heavy dose of something to make me sleep in my room. So I could sleep and stop talking. I was in my room and the nurse was mad she looked stupid.

• She behaved like 3-5 people. A lawyer, a psychiatrist, a nurse, an executioner, a sensible human being. She wanted me to notice her hair.

• My pressure wasn’t taken for 3-5 days. They basically didn’t consider me a patient. An expected esp instantly. I’m only human. I also don’t answer to you all.

• A sticker marking that I’ve been impatient was added to my folder when I’ve been patient the whole time. After the 3rd. It should’ve been done the 1st, if I were impatient. (How they then file for involuntary placement) = Caucasian Nurse did it.

• They kept lying about my placement. Voluntary or involuntary.

• Techs were doctors.

• Nurses tried to be doctors too.

• Doctors found love for the job again.

• Horrible point of care.

• DO NOT RECOMMEND.

• The psychiatrist? I’ve filed forms.

• I’ve filed grievance forms.

• The psychiatrist lied about a conversation we’ve never had. He said that I’m obsessed with the supernatural and I never discussed that with anyone. I simply wanted to go to church.

• Patients went on their own strikes. Week 1.

• Week 2, patients acting out scenes.

• I was in danger. I’ve expressed. Nothing. 2nd time, something.

• There were scandals.

• A doctor as a patient was the doctor. 🙃

• I’ve cried. The people in the building cried with me.

• By the 2nd week, it was a hostage situation.

• BY LAW, I was to be discharged the 1st week.

• I consistently expressed myself & apparently that was a problem that indeed proved I was mentally ill somewhere 🤷🏾‍♀️. BS. They wanted us to be quiet the whole time so, I took a vow. I also WAS NOT depressed. Just… Christianity at work.

• Loosening up does not mean I am mentally ill somewhere.

• I promoted my blog.

• I played a few songs for happiness the 2nd Friday. Not just the 2nd Friday.

• I advocated for myself. Each time at FMC.

• BILLS. I consistently expressed that. 🙃. I do not have the money for it.

• Everyone heard The Holy Spirit organically.

• And now I’m triggered every now and then.

•I don’t have the money for these unnecessary trips to the hospital. I really don’t. Even if I were rich.

•The police didn’t even state why they showed up. I just never want to die senselessly like others in our country. May they Rest In Peace.
