My brain keeps thinking about Eddie loving the rain. He finds it peaceful and he likes the sound it makes as it patters on the roof of the trailer. But after everything (yes he lives in this one) he finds it harder to enjoy the rain. He still finds it beautiful and peaceful but something about the cold makes his body ache so terribly. He finds it hard to even walk on these days and he finds it painfully ironic that the universe has ruined yet another one of his simple pleasures.

(This is 100% inspired by me being very excited that it’s rained all morning and then trying to get up and realizing that I am in fact having a very bad pain day. Okay bye I gotta go write a 15 page paper 💙)

idk how I missed this, it’s been an insane semester, but I love this and it just stormed where I am yesterday and I love rain so much

except I have a bad ankle

it started when I got hit by a car when I was a teenager. I have like an 80% accuracy rating with knowing when it’s going to rain because I literally can’t fucking walk sometimes

I feel like Eddie would have a similar approach. like one day after Vecna he wakes up and his leg feels like it’s on fire. so naturally he thinks “oh it’s going to rain”

and then he looks out the window and sure enough, it’s pouring down rain, and when lightning strikes he only has to wait a moment until the thunder shakes the windows of his trailer

and he’s heartbroken because he loves the rain. loves to run outside and lay down in the grass because rain makes him feel grounded and alive like nothing else

so sometimes he’ll limp outside. and lay down in the grass and just tries to ignore the pain so he can feel for a few seconds how he did because the pain

he might have to commandeer Wayne or Steve or one of the kids or other young adults. Robin finds him a pair of crutches at the thrift store. but goddamn it he refuses to let this be ruined for him

Wc: I have no idea. Enjoy the first ever fanfic I’m posting!! (The a scariest thing I’ve done to date.)

As the rain knocked at the windows and danced across the roof, you laid awake eyes closed, but your mind fully awake as the bright flashes kept it from its most needed slumber.

The loud bangs and booms giving you anxiety, you so wish you could just sleep through it all, but sadly you knew that wasn’t happening, not on your own at least. Your boyfriend laid next to you peaceful asleep and you didn’t want to ruin that, but your hands were starting to shake and your heart felt heavy, you needed him right now, you’re sure he’d understand.

You turn over slightly to face him,

Gently shaking his shoulder to wake him up, “mhm..baby? What is it?” He asked sheepishly in his half awake state, just then a bright flash followed by a big boom rung through your room. Your grip on jaehyun tightened as you frantically stumble out “c-can we cuddle please, I can’t sleep..” your question sounding more like a demand then you had originally intended, but jaehyun just smiled as he pulled you into his arms.

“Of course baby, you don’t even have to ask you know that” he expressed genuinely, he had forgotten your fear of storms and now he felt bad for not noticing how you were tossing and turning the entire night, he brought his face to yours, softly placing a kiss on your forehead before whispering, “shh it’s okay, I’m here now there’s nothing to worry about” just being in his embrace was enough to calm your beating heart, with your head on his chest listening to the subtle rhythm of his’s, your eyelids start to feel heavy as jaehyun stroked the back of your head, humming softly in your ear.
