didn't expect to say this but i'm taking what i've said about stranger things back. i have no idea how s4 might look to a fresh audience but having been immersed into the rules of the story for three seasons i found it... surprisingly okay. yes they've spent a lot of time on things that didn't deserve it but overall this part felt very action-packed and goal-oriented. also my mind is blown by the fact that they're actually tying all the narrative threads together, and while i'm a big hater of "and this NEW threat is more DANGEROUS than the previous one!!!" plot points, i'm glad that it all now actually makes sense

#i seriously can't tell if they've hired better writers or my outlook's changed since s3 #but i'm like actually in waiting mode for the rest of the season now #👀👄👀#my commentary #you really don't have to care/#stranger things/#stranger things spoilers/#actually the most cringe things were: them fucking around with poor will's crush and hairdo (seriously this is embarrassing by now #let him have a normal hairdo)#forced nancy/steve. it seems to me like as soon as she meets upwith johnathan & they talk it through steve will become irrelevant instantly #and if it doesn't happen then the only acceptable outcome is the trouple. i've been on this wagon since... whenever and i'm not getting off #well and i scrolled through most ussr stuff bc i can't handle it<3
