Delighted that we seem to be introducing Croz to the concept of “girls night”

y'know one of the things i appreciate about sense8 is it feels remarkably human in the sense that if almost anyone i know got psychic empathy powers they would use it for weird sex stuff too

Oh that one shot was so good!! As much as I would have loved to see Veth be there for Caleb's closure with Trent, I think the fact that Luc was there was good for Caleb. Having that I need to keep this kid safe priority helped to distract him from Trent's manipulation, I think.
And Luc said it himself - Caleb is the good teacher that Trent never was. Luc is a living example to Caleb that he is not the man that Trent wanted him to be, that he is better than that. Caleb's teenage years were unsafe because of Trent; Luc's will be safe because of Caleb.

It's been a pretty long time since I've heard the whole Um. See I can't spell it out I can really only sound it out. But it's that thing in anime where they thank the sponsors, usually at the end of the episode.... you know!!! I haven't heard it in a while but I just started watching Gintama (like from the 2005 special cuz I watch things in release order) and hearing those familiar phrases IF ONLY IN AUDIO took me allllll the way back to when I was a kid........ SNIFFLE................

I am just Thinking about the possible parallels and conversations between Imogen’s “there is a mysterious force causing me to dream of a red storm on a moon and also letting me read people’s minds and I know so little about where it comes from” and Ashton’s “my friend poured a vial of strange stuff into my brain and I got these weird powers and now I have been confronted with a terrifying spectral image of me that feels like these powers coming back to bite me in the ass”

i feel like there's definitely this pressure online to be obsessed with tumblr or twitters favorite show of the week no matter what and i think as someone who doesnt really engage with a lot of things as theyre coming out, it's a bit easier to see that, and i think it's good to kinda go "am i watching this bc im actually interested in the premise or just bc its the darling show of the month"? and its not a bad thing if it doesnt vibe with you.
i say this as sort of a long winded way of saying that despite the premise feeling like it was tailor made for me in every way that i did not latch on to mp100 the way everyone else in my circle seemed to LOL

I've watched a few reviews and breakdowns of the show Echo, and wow the writers and everyone involved just didn't try with it. It just sounds like a really empty show and story? Even if you've seen Hawkeye (which I have), you still don't come away from Echo... really knowing anything about the main character Maya.
From my understanding, she just sounds like a villain who wants to remain in the criminal world because reasons. She puts the blame of her troubled life on everyone else, but doesn't seem to take any responsibility in her own choices and actions.
Idk, besides the retcon of her having grown up "like a daughter" to Kingpin (which doesn't work at all in Daredevil seasons 1-3) for many years, and I guess trained to be a great fighter or maybe assassin, there's not much else to her. Like you never learn her motivations for things or anything else.
And again, for various reasons, trying to fit Maya into Kingpin's story that was established in the Daredevil show doesn't make sense nor work, but whatever I guess. It also sounds like Kingpin is a bit of a chump now, compared to how powerful and feared he was in Daredevil. He certainly felt lesser in Hawkeye to me.
It just feels and sounds like Disney was obligated to make this show because they'd already committed to it however many years ago, but if they had the choice now they wouldn't make it. I get the feeling if they could undo some stuff, the MCU wouldn't go through with the Agatha show or Ironheart and projects like that.
