-Your past is something that you had always had a hard time talking about with others, it was a dark time in your life, even more so when you lost all your friends, or at least most of them, against Muzan and his forces, when you were alive on Earth.

-It was the time before becoming a Hashira that you didn’t like talking to others about, at least until you made friends, true friends, in fellow swordsmen Okita and Susanoo, who both loved your technique with your breathing style, as they had never seen anything like it before.

-You thought they were both weirdos, when you first met them, as they were both begging you to spar with them, after seeing you training. You thought they were picking on you as well, as you believed nobody would be friends with you- that nobody liked you.

-You learned this was false, it was a lie your brain was telling you, trying to make you feel less guilty for the death of your sister and best friend. They did like you- they wanted to spend time with you, they wanted to be friends with you.

-They thought you were odd as well, as you were so stoic at times, but as they got to know the real you, they realized you were just a damaged person, one who had to grow up too quickly, but they never pushed you on your past, other than what you were willing to share about Muzan and those you lost.

-It was a moonlit drinking party when you felt so calm, so at peace. It felt like when you met Tanjiro- everything felt like it was going to be all right.

-When Okita questioned you about your haori, as it was a rather odd pattern, you surprised them both, looking up at the moon above, telling them of Urokodaki, who trained both you and Sabito, who was your best friend.

-You were both training to become Demon Slayer apprentices, and you fully believed that Sabito was the better of the two of you- he was perfect. And then he was killed, taken from you, and you got his spot in the corps, and later becoming a Hashira, “It was never my spot- it was always his.” They could only look at you with sympathy, realizing that you had survivor’s guilt.

-When you told them about your sister, who was going to be married, before she too was killed by a demon, because you weren’t strong enough at the time to deal with it, you told them you always blamed yourself for her death.

-Your haori was a blend of both your sister and Sabito, your reminders of what you failed to do, and what you took.

-Susanoo was about scold you, calling you an idiot as you weren’t at fault for their deaths, but you spoke again, surprising them both, “It was a young boy, who helped me realize it wasn’t my fault- I just made it my fault so I could continue. When I realized it, I felt like they were both there, telling me to live my life now and to not dwell on the past.”

-Okita grinned, bumping his shoulder into your own, “That’s good you realized it. Now you’re here in Valhalla- that proves that you’re a worthy person.” His words were comforting, as you gave him a small smile, thanking him as the three of you toasted your glasses to the moon above.

-You decided, the following morning as you were extremely hungover, that you were never going to drink with them again.

I like this. Doll's apprehensive in dealing with the situation and puts in the concern she needs, snake is kinda uncomfortable cause I wouldn't doubt that this is his first time being around little kids, and dear darling finny is so worried.

also, not only has he already caught on to finny, but it seems like Doll already told him quite a lot about her life- or past life. atleast he knows about "Finnian"(O!ciel). will he team up with Doll in leading my boys to their doom? most likely. and how many other kids may be in on it all?...

... it suddenly makes me wonder how O!ciel would react to seeing all of these kids. how awful.

alright, I think I just gotta accept that yana is playing the mystery and suspense hard even though it gets more obvious every chapter. I already mentioned how I'm a little bit bugged that both snake and finny are jumping around the conclusion that the kids and rooms resemble the phantomhive manor despite my belief that the resemblance should be easy to spot, with how long they've been at the manor. but I'll hold off now, it's not too hard to believe that Finny and Snake make slow connections. and maybe there's still a chance it's something else that's unsaid, but idk.

wait okay. instead of going to sleep like a normal person. here's how I'd change the ages in bsd (for those that have a canon age), bc no one looks their age/it makes the timeline feel weird, i wanna let at least some major past events breathe a little between one another. possibly controversial takes ahead:

atsushi: i like that he's 18 actually. he looks and feels 16 but no yeah 18 works better. I'd say 20-21 would be nice but that'd reallyyyy throw his backstory's timing off unfortunately

dazai: 25

kunikida: around 27-28

ranpo: 28 also, maybe even 29 (his whole thing is that he looks young for his age anyway)

yosano: 28 as well

tanizaki: like. he does look 18. but also 16 and 21 at the same time. i like him as a bit older than atsushi so let's say 19-20, and naomi as well while we're at it

kenji: why is he 14. it's not that he doesn't look 14 it's that i simply did not expect a child to be the muscle in a detective agency. so please make him like at least 16 which is only just slightly better tbh

i think that's everyone who has a canon age (excluding lns bc i haven't gotten to them yet)? aside from sigma maybe but his age is more of a plot device than a fun fact. and fukuchi is implied to be the same age as fukuzawa so, yeah just make them the same in this case too.

i did mess up the timeline myself with this. so lemme clear it up:

The War and the whole thing with mori and yosano still happened when she was 11, so 17 years before canon. that means mori was still in his 20s back then, no big change

untold origins still happened when ranpo was in his teens, honestly we can keep it 14, so 14 years ago, meaning fukuzawa was in his late 30 or early 40s. again not too big of a change I'd say

fifteen happens when. well. dazai and chuuya are 15. ten years ago. i don't want q there get them out of my sight (for now) let them be a kid for a bit!!!!! but yeah like in canon that means the previous boss's murder was a year before, 11 years ago. also while we're at it, stormbringer is also the same aka a year after 15

now this is where we shake things up just a bit. rather than occuring when dazai is 18, i think we can push the dark era to when he's 20 and still maintain the whole childlike thing he has going on there, it's not that big of a difference imo.

that means, 5 years before canon instead of 4, making akutagawa 15 back then, and ango 27 like odasaku.

also yeah q comes in at some point in the middle between those^ I'd say close to dark era than fifteen.

originally i wanted to make skk 26 but this started stretching things even more. bc now we gotta figure out how long dazai spent in hiding. and ig we can keep it 2 years and just make it so his entrance exam was 3 years before canon. again imo not that big of a stretch 🤔

idk why i said this changes the timeline a lot i think this is p simple. also lets ppl stew in their situation for just a bit longer which i like more.

Nbjbnmm ok so,,,since fnaf 3 came out ive been a fan of springtrap itself (w/o knowing who was inside lol) and like,he stayed as my fav since that even later when i found out who he was,(i kinda still see springtrap as a character of its own) and when i watched the movie? bro the feeling of seeing william afton,,,,the springbonnie suit....that fucking entrance GODDD the way he just menacingly walks slowly,first the eyes glowing and then just appearing fully njkgdukh cheff kiss,,,all the little details we see when hes fully suited...when he tilts his head a bit and THE ROBOTIC VOICE EFFECTS!!! i cannot wait to see springtrap.....i was like 100% sure we will see it on the second one but now that i think of it maybe itll be on the last one? like,even more epic but i also dont think so since hes like,the only villain so,,,ghhhhh im so fucking excited to see the design of springtrap in the movie just thinking of it makes me vibrate out of existence like...hes such a character i love sm i never knew i needed to see him like that,moving,walking,talking..but now that i did i wanna see him forever o(-( ill never get enough nor get tired of movie springbonnie nor springtrap when he appears i just hope he gets A LOT of screen time since on the first one we only got it at the very end,speaking technically it would make sense that on the 2nd we get wayyy more of him

With a rigid nod, Rosinante knocked again, trying to keep it friendly. How did one knock in a friendly fashion? “Uh, hey!” He spoke up in a chipper tone. “I, I don’t know if anyone’s home, but uh…my name is Dante.” Rosinante eyed around, like he was paranoid of anyone eavesdropping. “I’m new around here. I’m not a fishman. I uh, I talked to Genzo? And he said you might be looking for some help. Brought a friend too, we’re both willing to pitch in if you need anything.”

No response. Rosinante leaned away from the door and glanced down to Law with a shrug. He returned the gesture.

“Sounded good to me. Maybe she’s not home.” Law decided.

Cora turned around and peered across the orchard in the distance. “Yeah, but where else could she be? He said she was crippled. Can she even leave the house?”

“Yeah, crippled is…kind of a broad term.” Law agreed quietly. “If it’s a broken leg or spine, she might not even be able to move.”

Both men startled when the door creaked open, but only a sliver. Rosinante pivoted around, catching the eye of the woman inside. She was small, to Rosinante’s standards. Taller than Law though, about the same height as Genzo, so maybe by her village’s average, she was tall. A gray, bloodshot eye stared into his fiercely.

“Get off my property.”

“H-Hey…” Rosinante spoke in a soft, easy tone, “It’s nice to meet you. Sorry for the fright, we’re not going–”

Just out of the way real quick, I have a headcannon that stands for most if not all animal companions and like 2 or 3 human characters

They are all seeing. That means that they can see everything that could ever happen. They can see the past, the present and the future. They can also see your deepest darkest secrets.

Other than that, I only have one head cannon for Carl and a few for Harry, so let’s go over them.

Carl

Later in the season, Cuza managed to teach Carl how to sound like anyone (yes, anyone) while talking. That way, Cuza could pull up some nasty pranks (e.x: get into someone’s room by having Carl pretent he’s Kris.) Carl usually goes along with it.

Harry

His favorite food are raisins lol.

Lain found Harry on the streets one day, and out of empathy for the poor hedgehog, decided to take him in (This ties into another Lain head cannon but hey… This isn’t about Lain it’s about Harry)

Harry sometimes crawls out of the fluff in Lain’s Jacket only to fall asleep on the boy’s hand

Anyways Time for our daily Character Review!!

Carl

Solid ✨9/10✨. I like him. He was funny. He was a good comedy relief character and just showed us that not all comedy relied charathers needed to be human. Also, he had some golden scenes, especially the ones he had in the episode where they set off to look for red eye ( I really love that episode). The only reason he isn’t a 10/10 is because It’s been a while since I watched Evolution and I can’t remember him that well. But maybe when I rewatched Evolution, He will become that perfect 10/10

Harry

✨9.5/10✨. Cmon you guys he is so adorable how could you not like him. I know he hissed at people a lot but that just adds to his character!!! It just makes him perfect!! And the scenes when he and Lain are alone.. oh my god it just warms my heart ❤️❤️❤️. The only complain I have is that we should get more Harry. He was cute, but we didn’t get enough of him to satisfy my needs. Also, we got a bit of Lain backstory, but why no Harry backstory 😭😭😭? It kinda hurts me inside 😔. But it’s ok, the Harry that we get is amazing and heartwarming, even if it’s just a little

Welp, with The Flash coming out and it being like swan song to the DCEU, I couldn't help but take a look back at some of the other DC movies and i was like, "why not just rank them and with my stupid opinions!"

Aight so this is the part where I explain why, originally i considered making a post of each movie like how i did it with marvel movies and shows on Twitter at some point but decided not because I'm not a poignant person with the most creative writing nor could i often keep the same attention span for it for awhile so here is the best way to review em all in a few words or less.

Will be doing it in the order they were released in.

1. Man Of Steel

7.5/10.

I actually like this movie, it's definitely has non-stop action and i can't help but think maybe I just enjoy that because I have a peanut for a brain. It definitely tries to be more grounded to see how humanity would react to Superman existing our world. I do like Henry Cavill as Superman i just wish we got more scenes of him being more warmer and more scenes of him helping and saving people. I can definitely understand why others disagree and really dislike this one.

2. Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice

3.5/10

This movie exists and is what set off panic triggers at Warner Bros. & Prettyyyyyyy much ruined the perception of Superman and Batman to a bunch of "certain" people. It crams in way too many storylines, tries to set up way too much, some miscasting, kills off superman in his like 2nd appearance, wonder woman got spoiled in the trailers and whatnot.

Ben Affleck as Batman was cool and the warehouse fight scene was cool. I'm sad that it was Dick Grayson the one who got killed.

The Ultimate Edition of this one is just a 6/10, while it does give more context and more scenes that I do like, it still has the same problems so no, it doesn't fix everything.

3. Suicide Squad

2/10

Nobody likes this movie, also nobody likes me.

I remember thinking that the comic con trailer was the coolest shit to ever exist. Then I saw the movie and remember feeling lied to and deceived.

Everything sucks, everything happens too much at the same time, characters barely feel like character at times, etc. Really deserving of that Oscar!!!!!!!

I did like Harley Quinn, Amanda Waller, and Captain Boomerang (even if he barely did anything)

4. Wonder Woman

8.5/10 Wonder Woman

Really love this movie, Wonder Woman is great, i love the characters, the chemistry, the action and her helping people.

It does stumble abit towards the end however but even then, it still felt like a great movie 👍

5. Justice League (2017)

5.5/10

This movie pretty much is the reason why the DCEU became a wild rabid animal that needed to be put down immediately.

Movie is just mediocre, humor is just "Not funny. Didn't laugh." , Action is lame, backstories are rushed, Flash is annoying, Aquaman is a dickhead for no reason, cyborg doesn't even get a backstory, they really take their time saving people, dumb Russian family subplot.

I liked the after credits scene of Superman and Flash racing. So while the movie is not extremely awful and not a bad waste of your time, it's also not a good waste of your time.

6. Aquaman

While i love the cheesiness in this movie, this movie does also get abit stupid at times but still a fun time where you can go off with, with a pal or smth.

Cassandra Cain is not even Cassandra Cain and that still pisses me off to this day. Overall, it's definitely a Harley Quinn movie and NOT a Birds Of Prey movie. Black Mask was a cool villain. This movie felt like it was trying too hard to be like Deadpool ngl.

Welp, i now wish the movie never got released so the people who are like #restorethesnyderverse never got the satisfaction and got to comfortable enough to become a bunch of crybabies believing they are the top of the world.

Movie is just okay, cool action, good characters for the most part but holy shit is it way too long with really unnecessary scenes. If you can't release a movie without making it 4 hours long thinking it'll make things more cohesive, well i got some news for ya pal.

finally finished gilgamesh (the korean webcomic, not the actual sumerian epic of gilgamesh) and like ohhh i get it, tink is haunting the narrative

jrgrjgbgkg sobbing. because this is EXACTLY what zius says in tek which means zius' ideology is directly based on tink. and now zius passes on tink's words to the second special class fjhg

can you TELL tink was my favorite character in this. rip king i miss you but at least you get to be the catalyst for all of tek ✌️

also WOW on context. "oh hey that's legia from gilgamesh" legia is in ONE CHAPTER of gilgamesh. IN THE LAST ONE.

I CANT TELL! did he just get done in by two malto goons to protect tludia? fuck if i know. can someone explain

the gilgamesh cast actually ended up growing on me by the end i was ready to scream when it teased hadar dying like three times at the end

and i also like how tludia was characterized later on and her picking up all these habits from ram and listening to a his stories only to later succeed him is aaaaa

the explanation for ram and tludia's Whole Deal is. wack though. "yeah ram exists because of a programming error basically. also last thursday-ism is real." why does it matter that ram tells tludia the world history if the history is fake??? why did tludia's curse flare up BEFORE hinsher got unthawed if hinsher being alive is the catalyst for it?

i GUESS it fits in with the worldbuilding of restrictions and rules as avenues of power. all power comes at a cost in this world and i think it's GREAT worldbuilding and powerscaling but using it to handwave plot beats kinda blows

on that note the worldbuilding around demons is kind of. yikes. i get they're going for a "forever war" thing but. really had to specify that they're all black huh. is this why tek never shows them onscreen? is hwandaeng embarrassed about this now.

it's not as bad as it could be what with the "both sides suck" approach but damn daljan really fucked up by essentially demoting tink for being anti-racist and not explaining that he'd like tink to teach new knights to be less racist. bcuz all tink is gonna walk away with is "knights are racist". daljan. my man.

i keep talking abt tink (love that bitch!) but i do truly love how fucked the concept of Honor got with him. and ruthless ram is in the later part of the comic. tludia criticizes him by asking if tink had any choice. ram says it was his honor and choice to die. but. tink was blackmailed into working for the malto in the first place. he didnt ever have a choice. choosing to die was his only choice. ESPECIALLY HOW WITH TLUDIA'S BACKSTORY WITH KANDENTIA!! it's paralleled with how kandentia criticzes tludia for stealing, but tludia says it's a priviledge to be so rightous!! not everyone can afford honor! are you gonna tell a starving child to stop stealing because its illegal? are you gonna tell a man being blackmailed into criminality to choose the "right" thing?

honor as a priviledge is a fantastic concept to explore

also on that note. ram. looking back on it he Never really gives people a choice. like obviously, his "negotiation" with the fake mushia. once the peaceful option fails, he just starts threatening her. oh, and how his cowardice is repeated - the people he's leaving aren't ever given a choice either, are they? and from the beginning of the plot, too. what choice does tludia have but to trust him when he's the only one who could possibly cure her fatal curse disease????

and in the end tludia's final actual choice is "life forever or die." like. what choice is that even

at least tludia's desire to keep living no matter what is a long established thing so it makes sense for her to do that

wow the story really has like 2 suicides. first ram and then muitin in the bonus stories. hot diggity

kinda mad hadar's sister plotline didn't really get resolved. where'd she go. i get that hadar's resolution to the plotline is that he gives up on looking for her and starts living for himself, since she never wanted him to find her anyway - but it still stings a little

she probably became a knight. she's not legia's sidekick, is she?? they look a little similar. maybe without the lipstick...

also fucking WILD to have tek things recontextualized

or going from "i dont care abt tamin" to "TINK'S BROTHER??????"

morbidly hilarious that he ended up becoming solbas' sidekick then. is that why she cares so much about rescuing him in tek? not just a simply need for his two braincells (as she has none), but guilt as well?

tanshirin got so much more fucked up now seeing her in gilgamesh. "tyr's sister. cool 👍" to "hahah. girl what." good on her for becoming a knight though. seeing her with hinsher's hammer in gilgamesh was surreal

also in tek when zius explains the reason the east and west hate each other so much now realizing he was talking about hadar, tink, and hwashran specifically. i hope hadar shows up in tek at some point. just having the guy who Caused The War, Somewhat there would be hilarious. the smug smirk that launched a thousand ships. (hadar is a riot)

speaking of hinsher!!!! her story is the one that made me sob most (only time i cried at this comic was "gnojes the blacksmith" from the side stories). it's just. auhvrhhr. the human equivalent of hachiko. and at the end of the side story where hinsher steps into the workshop and is greeted by those bearing his name i aurghgfhf

it's really well handled how hinsher reacts to the situation. she's devestated, obviously. that moment when she sees ram and sees he's unchanged and asks him how long it's been but of course he's IMMORTAL but she doesn't know that so she thinks it's been no time at all but it was 500 years i'm. i'm fine

and just like everythinggggg and how she eventually copes by imagining gnojes managed to be happy without her. maybe he found someone else. the conflict of longing and desolation at hearing the name of gnojes continues, but then - he never had any children. he never married. he waited for her.

and how hinsher just. she regrets leaving gnojes. she regrets being trapped. she doesn't regret trying to save strangers. because that is her knight's honor. and she does it again, protecting tludia and nephren in the final arc,,,, don't talk to me

AND THEN THE SIDE STORY SHOWS. GNOJES NEVER GAVE UP LOOKING FOR HER. BUT HE FOUND HAPPINESS AGAIN, TOO. in his work. with the children he adopted. he died of old age surrounded by people he loved, who loved him too. but he never stopped missing her. and she'll never stop grieving him

the tragedy is just fucking DELICIOUS okay

do also love how the side stories show that ram is an unreliable narrator. it's really neat to see characters picked up and fleshed out without his viewpoint. like the fuckin plot twist that it was depression era ram who killed suldin and not tisalle. but ram only heard "suldin was killed by his apprentice" and didn't remember doing it, so he assumed tisalle did it. and then killed tisalle for it. fucked up 👍

what more was i saying

waron is way more fucked up than i thought but zius describes her as "predictably unpredictable" so she's just always been like this. how the fuck did the knights reign her in again. kandentia probably kicked her ass and now she just wants to brawl with zius now that her main target is dead. she's fantastic and i love her. she knows EXACTLY what she wants.

the general theme of self sacrifice and making yourself the villain to help others both with ram's actions and the demon knight backstory and waron's short story on how she hates knights kinda makes me think she also does this to establish that not all knights are just? after all, honor is individual, and not all honor will be "good", with waron as a prime example

did she ask nagyunn how he'd kill her just to figure out if he'd be fun to fight

that is. all my thoughts on gilgamesh i can remember at the moment. this post is long and messy but such is customary for me 👍

once again i think gilgamesh is hampered by the early chapters trying to hard to be comedic. once it settles on a tone and as the art improves i started enjoying it way more but with how frontloaded the flashbacks are (even if they pay off in full later!) i definetly wouldn't have been nearly as invested if it weren't for me reading tek first. tek just has a better plot hook with a character with a set goal and a plan to achieve it, whereas the beginning of gilgamesh kinda meanders as the crew sets out to unlock ram's memories, which doesn't really end up significantly changing ram, even. the beginning is too largely incidental to me so tink n the malto as concrete antagonists to outwit and overcome def helped that.

but also the ending feels just. messy. here is god to give us exposition. everything you did was useless. ram's pivot into ending the world suddenly, even if it's to draw out god(?), feels much too abrupt. yes he had the report about tludia and hinsher being somehow connected, and i did find it odd she could understand hadar without using sign language, but that foreshadowing really wasn't enough to even conceive what his plan was, especially since his talk with the fake mushia leaves out the dialogue where he actually gets her to agree. and then it also cuts out the final words tludia gives to ram before he jumps off the cliff.

to be fair tek ALSO does this a lot but it p much is always dialogue that would've been boring and is brought up only when relevant, with the general sense of "i guess they could've talked about this at that point." (main way tek blows it is with jiroon, imo - like, put the scene with nagyunn encouraging her before her death, maybe? so we're not just invested in her in-post? flashbacks work with tink because he already had plenty of build up before dying, and additional context just expands on what we already knew about him. i digress.)

and then the malto mooks who attack tludia and co are literally unnamed and faceless. it would've already been better if pavrin was the one to betray mushia. it was. just some fucking guy! okay!

tldr abt the ending: i dont really get it ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯ the midpoint of the comic feels best to me writing wise. overall i enjoyed it though, even if i still like tek more.

dang, now i should totally reread tek for a fourth time, just so i can pick up on every detail gilgamesh expands on or recontextualizes.

like some of these r just for fun (like why daljan is so important to kandentia, since both of them are rather minor characters in tek), and others r kinda bonkers (the dragon has lost some of his mystique now that nephren exists to me)

Some Guy, in ye olden times, is just fuckin around with fungi and makes this crazy powerful fungi! the ultimate life form!

it eats him

it takes over his body and uses him as a vessel to spread to lots of other people

(since obvi no one at this time has special healing powers like sly, the fungi reaches the Brain Controlling point pretty fast)

the fungi basically decimates the town

a few brave survivors manage to kill everyone who was infected, the fungi on them kinda just. dissolves away

except the originally infected guy. idk why maybe bc he was the first one to be taken by the fungi so its like,,,, hardier or something

(hes basically dead but the fungi still seems healthy)

they smash his head into a pulp and bury him

"Phew! Thank goodness that's over with" they say! "No one will ever be infected by this thing again!"

cue mr beewell. obviously hes only tryna dig up graves with mellified people in them so. i think there somethin weird about Some Guy's grave

maybe the soil looks weird or theres faint glowing mycellium or smthn idk im not the fungi expert. either way sly digs this guy up

the guy is completely covered in the fungi, but it looks very dead even tho it prob still has a faint glow

sly, being the genius he is, decides to partake in exactly Zero extra safety precautions and load this bad boy into his truck

because this thing looks weird and is potentially magic!

he takes the guy back to home base, unloads it somewhere, prob pokes and prods it a little before he hits the fucken hay

since the fungi needs about an hour of contact to spread, im saying he was just Sciencing long enough to catch the fungi. or he took a bite

however im also saying that since the fungi was mostly dead, there was no actual physical evidence of him catching it before he went ta sleep.

(no little mushrooms no weird patches etc)

so hes oblivious until he wakes up

he wakes up. notices some weird textures on his skin. turns on the lights and finds a mirror

theres patches of mycellium shit everywhere! and some baby mushrooms also

hes probably freaked out, he tries all the obvious methods of removing stuff, etc

they probably do some research, maybe t takes some samples for a lab, etc

at some point, maybe later in the day or the next day, sly is probably not having a great time bc those mushrooms are getting bigger and the patches have prob shifted a bit

Do you have any tips to help other story writers for making Bloodborne stories?

Oh hello there ! ^^

Well I'm not sure I'm the best person placed for this O_O' it's only been a few months since I began to write stories (& bloodborne stories) so I still have a lot to learn...

But I know a lot of things about Bloodborne so I can try to help x) what's sure is that's there's no good or wrong way to write bloodborne stories I believe.

First I think it depends the types of stories you want to write really. Is it a little one shot ? (About a character ? A particular events ? a pairing ?) or is it a bigger multi chapter fic/story that describe a long period of events ?

I mean personally I try to respect the lore and everything we can learn in the source materials and put as much little references as possible (but it's a lot it depends, if you focus on a specific character at one certain point in time, it's important to consider a bit what happened before and perhaps after? (foreshadowing) and all but a lot of things can be ignore/not focused on too much. (If it's like a small story about Gascoigne's backstory for exemple I don't think it's pertinent referencing the fishing hamlet for ex)

If you wrote about the old hunters/ the healing church foundation and all it's good to be on point with the lore, if it's later in the timeline with only Gascoigne, Eileen, Henryk, Djura and all it's still good to know about it/reference it but not useful to talk about what happened to much. Likewise if it's a story happening with the hunter/main character in the "present". (Also make a timeline if it's retracing the entire storyline of bloodborne lore. I had a hard time making one but it's super useful)

A lot of points are still up to interpretations in Bloodborne (the exact timeline, the characterizations of some characters, the types of relationships some had between them...) I think the best advice I can give here is to do like you feel/imagined/interpret the world. I love reading unique takes ! You can inspired yourself with ideas from others of course but I think just looking at your first thoughts about the game

As for writing inspiration I guess doing researches about the XIX/19th century/victorian era (1800s) is really useful too + Lovecraft/fantastic stories but it depend the type of stories and tone you you want to write too. For interiors description, how people used to live, talk maybe? medical procedures... it can be pretty useful but also you need to be careful that Bloodborne universe is not totally equal to our 19th century. For ex I don't think people have 10 siblings/children, women have more prominent/important & mixed role in society and I don't think 10years old worked in manufactures...(but hey a really realistic Bloodborne based stories / a really super fantastic-lovecratian story could be quite interesting too).

You don't have to explain everything too/it's ok if there's some missing points. (Because 1 : the game never explain everything. 2: it's super hard coming up with an explanation for everything as well.)

And to conclude I would say the best source materials for ideas/inspiration is the game itself. The ambience it have, what you feel & what comes to your mind when playing the game.

ALRIGHT so I finished the rest of tgamm's S2 eps so far and to both test out this read more trick that I haven't learned how to use even after all these years and for everyone's convenience, my long thoughts will be in the read more.

My abridged thoughts, are that the eps were p good! Very solid batch all around and I'm sure the later eps will be just as fun, maybe even more! 👍!

Aaaaas for the longer thoughts, well they're not that longer tbh.

I was a bit. Hm. Not disappointed but more, surprised? I guess, that they focused a lot more on the main cast rather than some side character and their story but that's not a bad thing, I just find that some of my fav eps from S1 tended to do that tho! And thankfully, the writing like usual managed to be good enough that I didn't really think that much about it, while watching it.

Anyways, Scratch's backstory that was literally shown for less than a minute. OOOH. OHHH THAT WAS GOOD. LEGIT WAS SO GOOD. It perfectly captured that touching emotion that S1 had looooots of moments with. Also worth noting is that the soda was founded (I think?) in 1909, so Scratch probs isn't that old. Ooh man I hope the theories from way back about how his sailor themed memorabilia is actually for a purpose!

Oh yea, Scratch as chairman. Neat. Hm. Not bad, but hm. Just kinda neat I guess imo of course. Eh ya know what, now that I think about it, the show has been handling it rather well, its not an instant problem solver and it hasnt gotten in the way so far, yea its p neat. He spent the first half of the ep just being like "enjoy yourr afterliiiife [:○)" just to drift to "GET OUTTA MY HOUSE" and that was funny.

Oh yea and as always, the backgrounds were colorfully delightful, the voice acting was top knotch, the animation and different storyboard artists' styles were great and the music remains baller. Reaaaally hope it gets more appreciation this time around!

I FORGOT LOL Scratch's ass being plot relevant is fantastic. Like. Wow.

Sharon's episode was great!!!!!! I love the real emotion of unsure fear, uncertainty, but being able to overcome it due to support from loved one. GGGRHH THIS SHOW AND THE FAMILY WRITING WOO. They always nail it. Seriously I hope that this ep gets more recognition among fans.

Andrea's ep was also fun! Really stuck to their idea of her just being a bit misguided, not really mean hearted. I also love that they chose to talk about how convenient enterprises can unfortunately take over independent businesses and that it's up to the people to choose those independent businesses, not the corporate world.

Libby's ep was p fun! Very nice that she's getting more attention, and that they had an ep based on her love of her family library.

Molly overworked herself, again, but at least by the end she got to have fun 👍

Darryl's was p okay, definitely better than his last one, but I kinda feel like maybe Darryl also could have learned something? Buut then again he's just a kid and his parents accepting him for who he is, is a wonderful message so it all evens out :^).

As for the Chens, they're okay! I like June, autism blast has been deployed and that's rad. Ollie is okay, DEFINITELY overhated like geez he's literally just some guy. Granted, I'm not sure how this whole ghost hunter thing is gunna turn out tho. Considering that Scratch IS family, it makes for a neat obstacle I suppose.

And as for the thing that's been the main talk of recent, The Ship.

Gotta say it's p good, good on Pete.

Oh yea and molly and ollie is okay? I guess. Not really bad, not all that interesting imo tbh but it's really harmless. It clicks in a bit too much for my taste. Like Molly has been shown to be a bit too optimistic for people, then some guy shows up and is almost exactly like her. Ehhhh, again, not bad but some people DEFINITELY need to calm down, after all the show is mainly centered around the family and love between them, not romance. Just not my cup of milk ya know?

The actual in characters in the show, in their real life shipping them tho, was, hm. Don't. Don't quite know how to feel about that.

Pete and Reuben tho. C'mon.

Oh yea, new antagonist on the way too ig, he's voiced by Jeff Bennett so good for him!

Iiiii guess that's about it! Overall, p good batch! Hopefully the rest will be either just as good, or even better!

And lastly but certainly not least,

i hope sonic prime is good if its not good Im going to kill myself im so sick of shows for kids that are like. i dont know what the right word is but you know how the muppets used to be very earnest and genuine with their music and friendship and general silliness but later on especially after jim died and ESPECIALLY after disney bought them theres alwqys an air of irony. like its all very tongue in cheek like isnt it just SO embarrassing and cringey that some of these guys want to SING or be NICE.. LOL! that was my biggest issue with the new fraggle rock series Btw theres no reason to make self aware jokes about how lame you think it is to take these little singing and joke telling puppets called fraggles seriously. Ok sorry lost the plot a little bit i could discuss the downfall of the muppets specifically forever but back to sonic. thats one of thr reasons i hate sonic boom LOL it has alot of issues but it was so disingenuous in my opinion. not even just poor characterization of oh lets say knuckles. (imagine smoke coming out of my ears) but ive always LOOVED how seriously sonic media has taken itself like yeah this black and red hedgehog with a gun DOES have a super sad and heartbreaking backstory and we are going to reduce you to tears over jt and it literally fucking rocks. i think too many stories as of late are ruined by people being scared of being genuine and getting mocked for it so they just mock it themselves in the text like dont worry! we arent taking this seriously! like well maybe you should take it seriously and create something beautiful ok 👍

If you've seen any tmnt stuff from me you'll know I adore Casey Jones and didn't like how he didn't have much of a backstory or stuff in the 2012 series. I posted here about the backstory I would have used and here we are writing it out.

Casey smiled as Angel rambled on about the new episode of Space Heroes that she'd watched last night. He himself couldn't remember, having slept through most of it but listened intently as he ate his toast.

"And than Captain Ryan said, they'd never give into evil and they defeated Hypnotica." Said Angel, a bright smile on her face that Casey matched. "Damn, that's awesome. Wonder if she'll come back soon, maybe they've got a secret plan " He said, enthusiastically, Angel nodded "yeah they always do, but Captain Ryan won't let them win" she said, determined.

Casey chuckled as he started cleaning up their dishes and setting them aside for later. "Got everything? Don't forget your homework" he called, grabbing his own beaten up rucksack as she grabbed hers.

Before leaving, Casey set aside some left overs on the table. His dad would be hungry when he got up.

"Don't forget art club finishes at 6:30, on the dot " said Angel with a pointed look. Casey gasped, hand on his chest "Angel Lilith Jones... Do you think I'd forget to pick you up from art club?" He asked, Angel nodded seriously.

"... Just for that I'm not reading you a bed time atory tonight" said Casey, trying to hide his smile as she loudly protested. "You can't do that! That's... Evil" she spluttered. "Okay okay, you got me" he relented, ruffling her hair "I'll remember, kay? Though I've got a shift at 24/7 after, so be nice to Mr Murakami." Said Casey, wat hung her sigh in relief.

He was lucky that his jobs didn't mind his sister coming with him, didn't ask questions either. As long as she was quiet, some of em let her chill in the staff room which he appreciated greatly.

Mr Murakami was definitely her favourite of his bosses and Casey agreed. He also let them take leftovers home which again he greatly appreciated. Not that Casey couldn't cook but it saved time and energy.

"I will, promise" said Angel, with as much earnest as a 7 year old could possess. "Good, now go have fun or whatever you kids do" He said, bidding her farewell as she walked into school.

With Angel gone, Casey felt himself deflate and sag. It was as if his strength went with her and he was more aware of how his clothes smelt faintly of booze and the dull ache in his side.

His dad hadn't come home happy last night, apparently he got kicked outta the bar for not paying his tab that month. A tab that Casey paid for along with everything else, he hadn't managed to fit in the extra shift at the diner in time. He'd managed to pay their rent but forgotten about the tab till his dad stormed in.

Luckily Mr Bridge, the owner of said bar was old friends with Arnold Jones and allowed a extention to the deadline, albeit a small one. Though it meant Arnold would be home till it was paid off, digging into his booze stash in his room.

Casey decided not to think about that for now.

He made himself look semi presentable, giving himself a quick look over in the mirror. He was getting way to good at this make up thing before heading into class.

"Jones, how's it going?" greeted April, sat waiting for him at lunch. "I dunno about you Red but if I have to hear Mr Connors drone on about quadratic equations again, I'm going to knock myself out." Said Casey, sitting across from her.

"Oh come on, Mr Connors isn't that bad" protested April, though at Casey's pointed look she sighed in defeat. "Yeah I guess so, he does go on without realising it. One of my friends is... A lot like that" she said, going quiet.

Casey sat in silence, he wasn't sure what else to say, were they that close for him to ask? April wasn't really a friend.

She'd been nice enough to tutor him in maths and from there they hung out sometimes. She was a well meaning dork who was fun to tease and chat to but could hold her own.

Although she'd been hanging out with him more lately, not he was complaining. He didn't have friends, the hockey team was the closest thing he had. Casey didn't really have time for them and he was the angry werid hockey kid so there was that.

But April had mentioned she was having issues with her own friends. Apparently they went to a different school or something and had a major falling out.

Well being Casey Jones he decided, fuck it.

"Speaking of which, you okay? This er... Whole thing's gotta be hard on ya." Said Casey, April blinked in surprise "I.. I don't know, I just don't know to how to feel about it. It's out of my hands and there's nothing I can do.. You know?" She said, surprised at how easy it was to say.

"Things get out of your control, it happens and it's okay to be scared of when it does. You can't control everything, somethings you gotta see out to the end." Said Casey, he unfortunately knew that feeling every well.

If he could control anything it would be to bring his mum back, than his dad wouldn't have fallen as he had done.

April got a funny look in her eyes, smiling softly "wow you can be really smart when you want to Jones, maybe you don't need my help anymore." She teased, but her smile was thankful. Casey chuckled "I have my moments Red, don't leave me now not with the rest coming up" he pleaded.

Both of them dissolving into laughter as the bell rang.

True to his word, Casey did infact pick Angel up from art club on time. She was very excited to tell him all about the painting she'd seen one of the other students made as they headed to 24/7.

"Mr Murakami, its me Casey" Greeted Casey, throwing on his apron as he walked into the shop. "Casey, its good to see you again. And is that Angel with you?" Asked Mr Murakami, walking over with a smile.

"Hiya" greeted Angel, and his smile grew. "Good, Casey why don't you get started and I'll meet you in there. Angel you can find a seat on the back if you'd like, the TV is on the remote will be there." He said, Angel grinned thanking him and zooming off.

Casey smiled softly, Mr Murakami was a gift if there ever was one. He got started cleaning up the kitchen and doing the odd few dishes that were left. While Mr Murakami began making his noodles.

"I'm glad it was you two, there's been a lot of noise around here lately." He said, now that Angel couldn't hear them. Casey frowned "purple dragons?" He asked, hoping with everything in him that it wasn't.

They did bust in from time to time, he definitely saw them but luckily they didn't recognise him. They'd have a field day if they knew he was Arnold Jones, the traitors son.

"Yes, though they weren't alone. They had friends, sounded very angry, very large almost like beasts. Tried to break in but someone stopped them" Said Mr Murakami, not seeing the anger flash across Casey's face.

Mutants.

Oh how Casey Jones despised mutants. They just had to be here didn't they, messing up his city, as if the purple dragons weren't enough.

As if they hadn't taken his mum from him, dragged his dad into a downward spiral, no they had to go about threathing innocents like Mr Murakami who couldn't even defend himself and joining gangs like the purple dragons.

"They probably been getting out the booze, though you be careful, kay? I'm glad you weren't hurt" Mr Murakami smiled, "I will boy, I will. And you be safe too" He said.

Casey smiled but it didn't reach his eyes, he neglected to mention that the purple dragons were taken out by a masked assailant in a hockey mask.

Didn't mention how those mutants were driven away by paint bombs and hand made grenades in the shape of hockey pucks.

Or that this wasn't the first time he'd done such a thing.

No, instead Casey hummed along to the radio, chattered with Mr Murakami and Angel and wondered who in their right mind was ordering so much pizza gyōza.
