I’m soooo in love with this lil idea, but who will judge me?

I’ve been thinking about smol resilient yet very traumatized Whumpee lately(NSFW/torture probably). They’re used to being on their own, always on edge, paranoid and super callous due to their horrific experiences. Bad coping mechanisms if you ask. People who don’t know Whumpee’s story in detail (or their former incentives) are simply unsettled, scared and disgusted by their caustic and egoistic behavior - but for Whumpee it seems like the only way to survive. (Maybe, that’s where their altruism got them or their own miscalculations? Imagination goes wilddddd)

Key part here is that Caretaker(might be an old acquaintance/coworker/friend), the only one acknowledging the slaughterhouse Whumpee’s been in, is there to play a „White Knight“ game, or at least keep their future love friend at bay and away from some morally grey/dark choices(but not necessarily lmao what about our fun here)…

Harmoniously blending into a normal life is a tiring process for both parties for many reasons: Whumpee’s touch starved and at the same time petrified of any kind of intimacy/closeness, they’re freaked out by any medical facility/staff and try to steer clear(healthcare providers weren’t too kind to Whumpee previously orrrr), Whumpee still does something weird with their life overall…

But some quality time with Caretaker heals them bit by bit but ofc not entirely. Maybe Caretaker assists them with some basic chores, hygiene, career or helps them to scheme more flawlessly than before 👀 (Are they efficient? Are they patient? Are they enraged at ppl who did this to Whumpee?)

I know this is too vague to be even a prompt but if you get inspired by some points…

I also thought about possible perpetrators in this story and came to a conclusion that government/mafia stuff may fit well lol, just a suggestion tho (:

I've thought about this!!!

Now, I might have taken the lazy way out 😔 BUT I'd decided before I even wrote chapter one that this is based in a future in which they've most certainly prioritized science and vaccines and eradicated damn near every single std! So Quinn and Collins have at least made it out with one less thing to worry about!

The risk for Quinn is certainly much more psychological in our little universe. You're totally right in that it will affect him physically, but more from the stress and ptsd than from an std.

The stress will affect them both though, for sure!

Proper sleep will be pretty much impossible for a very long time for either of them. Quinn is so twisted up with stress and anxiety and Collins is consumed with worry and guilt. Go on like that for too long and it certainly does something to the human body!

We'll still get our angst 🤎 anon! I promise! 😘♥️
