Snippet:

Was it always how it went with the sirens? Feeling utter bliss before the ultimate ending? Did they always made the swimming lads feel like they wanted death? Because the creature who had her lips pressed against Azriel’s was making him crave it so much that he felt like death at her hands would be the best thing that could ever happen to him. A kiss from Gwyneth’s lips was a promise of salvation and heaven to come.

Too quickly, she pulled her lips away. A fog that he had not realised had settled in his mind started to fade away, leaving only a thin layer behind, and Azriel remembered who he was. Only when he opened his eyes did he realise where he was.

His mouth opened in a gasp but he closed it immediately before he started struggling, his arms and legs already moving to get him to safety.

The two sides: little!Charles with anxiety and little!Arthur with ADHD

Okay, this is going to be completely self-indulgent!

I can see Seb rocking little Charles because the cartoon he was watching was “too stressful”. The only thing he can watch without getting an anxiety attack is Teletubbies and sensory videos on YouTube. Seb is very good at calming him down, though. He puts Charles’s head on his chest for him to calm down to the sound of his heart. I can also see Charles having a stuffed bunny with floppy ears which he closes the bunny’s eyes with when something stressful happens on tv because “Doudou is scared!”. Yes, he projects. No, we are not going to call him out.

And there is Arthur. He is a good boy, he really is. He appreciates what you do for him immensely but he just cannot control his impulses. It is ten times worse when he is little because he becomes equally careless and ends up injuring himself. He simply doesn’t think twice when he gets an idea and makes all four of you live on the edge. He also has a very delayed bedtime and this more often than not disrupts Charles’s bedtime. 

You sometimes need to chase after him to make him drink water because he always forgets his bodily needs when he is playing. Unlike Charles, who always has a sippy cup in his hand because his mouth always goes dry. 

You feel like Arthur’s mind goes too fast for his body and sometimes it overwhelms him. Especially when he gets a boo-boo! He calls himself a “silly little goose” with a heavy French accent which makes you laugh each time. He is trying to be a good boy but his hyperactivity gets the best of him. It is a nightmare to read to them because while Charles’s super interested, Arthur gets bored and disruptive.

You let him run around to exhaust his energy and encourage him to play games that require physical effort while Seb holds Charles close to his chest while reading to him. Everything is safe and sound in this household.

thinking about how ambulance sirens are a repeating noise that gets louder and louder and also sirens are mermaids that lure men to their deaths by singing to them and then drowning them and also the sirenian class of animals like manatees who are underwater mammals jksdjfjfjdjkskawqwhh it's killing me

Snippet:

The anger that had taken over all her senses that day filled her again. She had promised to herself that she would survive anything. She had promised that whoever would dare harm her would pay. No one would take her freedom away.

She heard a muffled cursed coming from the bush where she had sensed a presence along with the sound of someone moving as her attacker fumbled to load another arrow onto their bow. Looking in the direction of the creature who had signed their death wish with a poisoned arrow, Gwyn decided that she wanted this one to feel every bit of pain that she could inflict. There would be no sweet singing female walking them to the gates of heaven. This one would only know the burning flames of hell.
