Hello! I recently saw your art of Ghali, Drephl and Rleiph, and decided to finally try out making wiki pages! I plan on making all three of them before adding them, but I have a few questions on about them. (Im pretty sure that you wrote the fic, but please correct me if I’m wrong)

first off, the fic is AMAZING, I cried multiple times while reading it, and everything goes together so perfectly there’s too much to talk about so I’ll stop here before it gets too long.

1) On Ghali, I wanted to double check that she took the last name Shims, because at some point it refers to the family as “the shims”

2) on Frihl, does he keep the last name Shims, or take his husband’s name?

3) can I say that Rleiph has pale speckles in her physical description?

4) could you give me more insight on Ghali’s , Drephl’s and Rleiph’s personalities? I personally struggle with describing those myself.

5) are there names for Drephl and Frihl’s parents, as I would like for them to be in the relationships category.

6) same for Rleiph’s girlfriend. Also, does she have a physical appearance? I’d love to draw the two of them together.

7) WEREWOLF CENTAUR. Amazing idea. What does the kid look like? I know that they’re described as a foal, but WHAT IS THEY JUST HAD A WOLF HALF INSTEAD OF A HORSE HALF, OR A WOLF HALF DURING FULL MOONS. I would love to know things like their skin tones and hair color too. (And coat) also thank you for all these centaurs, there isn’t even a catagory on the wiki for them yet.

8) what kind of clothes does everyone wear?

9) I know that Drephl and Ghali probably just went to a courtroom and signed some papers, but I really want to draw Drephl standing on a stool with her under an arch, where they just hug. This is also so I can mess around with possible wedding traditional clothing during that time period.

10) what is the name of Drephl and Ghali’s grandchild? The werewolf one?

9) I love that so much. also, it honestly makes a lot of sense for them to hold an actual celebration; your wedding is basically the only time in your life where you have an excuse to gather every single person you're close to in one place for a big party (aside from your funeral but uh. yeah.) their marriage was meant as the point where they no longer cared what anyone else thought bc they were so secure in their meaning to each other, so i love the idea of them going all out and then just hugging.

Fav character/subject that's a bitch to draw - i mean i would probably draw more genshin stuff if the characters didn't have 80 things on their body at a time kljkl but um in terms of characters i would do more regularly the one other thing i can think of are the Destiny Guardians from DSWD? i made their designs intentionally somewhat complex but in a way that makes it difficult for me to remember all the details too lol outside of characters, backgrounds are such a bitch to figure out. it's a rarity when they turn out really good but i do try bc i have some kind of method to my madness now

A medium of art you don't work in but appreciate - Any kind of physical formative craft like knitting, pottery, metallurgy, glasswork, etc. Things of that nature are too complicated and delicate for me to fathom making anything good with

What are your file name conventions? - it's usually just a basic description of the thing or occasionally the more poetic title based on what it is. it's not so much a naming convention as it is just what comes easiest to mind

Favorite piece of clothing to draw - clothes are hard but i like a good jacket or coat. i mess them up pretty frequently but when they work, they Work Well and just makes the guy look so cool :>

I feel like you must get asked this often and I'm sorry, but how is everyone you draw always so well-dressed? Do you have a source/sources of fashion inspiration or is it more of an innately incredible sense of style that I can only envy from afar? (I love your art!!)

FIRST i will confess to u smth.. all of my Fashion and Design Aesthetics were formed in my TENDER YOUTH watching eureka 7 and reading like, really fashionable shoujo manga + IMMORTAL RAIN in PARTICULAR. one of my most substantial influences is 70s mod fashion (the combo result of e7 and I Watched Austin Powers Probably Too Much As A Child) which isnt always apparent in the actual outfits but is usually p apparent in like.. HOW i draw them (clean/concise silhouettes, a lot of straight lines and curve combos accentuating each other). more than fashion fit design itself i rely LARGELY on breaking the body up into shapes and sections and then mold clothes to fit however i want to section those shapes. I HAVE NO IDEA IF THAT MAKES SENSE but THIS oc thing i did the other day kind of showcases what i focus on in terms of visual appeal when i do outfits.

i also like to think about personality when it comes to designing fits- like, what does the character enjoy, what is their GOAL w their clothing?? the ones i drew there are all a Specific Look that oc cultivates, which is WEAPONIZED SEXUALITY so her sexy fits are revealing but not TOO revealing bc its a tease not an invitation. her ultimate goal is to throw ppl off their guard and have them underestimate her, which is why her OTHER aesthetic is like, CHASTE INNOCENT SUNDAY SCHOOL ATTIRE. everything i draw her in is designed w her Goals in mind, if that is making any sense at all. ig what i am trying to say is that i always think in terms of like WHY would the character wear this, WHAT purpose do they utilize their clothes for? if i can narrow that down then i usually can visualize smth OR narrow down to a Clothes Genre and work from there

HERE are some brief annotations for my thought process on designing these outfits. i based them all off cape coats and pea coats so those were my references once i got it down to a GENRE. SIMILARLY i thought abt some of ninos canon aesthetics in THIS draw for the color palette (THE BUBBLER, SPECIFICALLY, OBVIOUSLY), BUT this is one of those cases where i just went w MY preferences for what i want to see chars in, same w marinettes fit. you can really see my 70s influence w ninos little booty shorts tbh

OTHERWISE YEAH. i just pull stuff outta my cavernous little noggin and call it good!! every set of pjs ive drawn marinette in are just things i think are cute and want to draw her in, not necessarily smth i think shed wear in the show. i dont look up fashion insp stuff v often but i used to spend soooo much time on lookbook back in the day (is lookbook still a thing??????). overall i just mix n match shit i KNOW i like, which usually means a lot of croptops if i am being honest here

How would you describe Zhongli's build? What sort of build allows him to look so dapper with his dumptruck ass with the turning radius of a waverider at full speed?

ZHONGLI zhongli zhongliiiiiii hmmmmm dont mind me adding childe to this too for comparison LMFAOO so how i would describe and usually draw the build, i hope i can explain it well enough but i doodled smth to show what i mean in case i dont explain it good lololol here (with extra butt)

so both are the around the same height (if and who is taller and by how much i dont know and i dont really care tbh so i usually go with just same height), with childe on the slimmer side and zhongli more on the more uh? sturdier? side. they both have nicely broad shoulders and backs before it trails off into a slim waist tho zhongli has a slimmer waist than childe and his coat accentuates it since its nicely snug around his waist. but zhonglis hips are a bit wider than childes and his thighs are also thicker than his. zhongli has like hmmm i dont wanna say hourglass bc it would be too exaggarated i think? his build is both elegant and strong/muscular like a warrior, tho he hides that a little with his prim and proper gentleman clothing ajkbc. childe on the other hand is completely built "just for battle" if it can be phrased like that? his shoulders and back are broad but the rest of him is very slender. he also got muscle ofc like zhongli but hes lean (his foul legacy is way bulkier and i also like to draw morax like that)

(regarding their butts: childes butt is like the rest of him lean muscle LMFAOBCKJAB small but still enough to have a handful. zhongli? he got that cake. you could grab it and there would still spill some out between your fingers probably. why? maybe bc of his thicker build. or maybe bc zhongli just decided he wanted to have the thickest ass in teyvat when he created his human vessel-)

i kinda like to think of, their play style/combat style kinda reflects their build, like zhongli got his thick and strong shield so its like his build is also strong and thicker than childe who is very fast so his build is slimmer to allow him to move faster? just my thoughts tho aksjbc

so yea zhongli and childe are both tall and slender, with zhongli being thicker than childe tho, but zhongli is not as thick as i like to think of other characters such as itto (bc my itto deserves the thickness and muscle he was robbed off AKJBCKJSAB)

OKAY SO HERE I GO about my self inserts. All three are me in personality, interests, and talents. All three have pink hair and green eyes, and glasses.

My s/i Ace x Sanji is an art historian from the South Blue.

They were traveling on a ship that was transporting priceless paintings from one island to another for an exhibition, when the ship was attacked by pirates after the artwork to sell for the Beri it would get them. They were one of only a couple of survivors of this attack, getting away on a scrap of wood that was floating that they managed to scramble on top of. They were rescued by the Straw Hats. This fits in canon timeline between Little Garden and Drum. They fall for Sanji very quickly, despite his bad habits, infatuated with his flirty nature and constant compliments. Despite Nami's warnings that he was like that with "all women," after they come out as nonbinary to Sanji during a heart to heart, he still treats them with the love and affection that made them fall for him. They bond while cooking together, taste testing each other's food and experimenting with new recipes at dinner for the crew. Make quick best friends with Usopp over mutual loves for drawing, plants, bugs, and being snipers. (They are trained in archery.) Jinbei reminds them of their late father, and they quickly get very attracted to the Fishman, looking up to him and asking him for guidance often. Other best friend is Robin, they bond over art history and how it related to archeology, she helps teach them to read poneglyphs so they can help her. In the selkie world, it is a warning, a cautionary tale: never be caught by a human man, lest you have your coat stolen and never return to the sea. Selkies are generally only found in the farthest north points of the North Blue, where seals are abundant. True to legends, Selkies can shift between human and seal form with the use of their coats or seal skins. Selkies are thought to be rarer than mermaids, but due to the nature of their transformation, true numbers are unknown outside the community. When a selkie has her skin stolen she has a compulsion to marry the person who stole it, usually with discomfort to the selkie. If her coat is willingly given to a man, it must be willingly given back. Selkies sometimes bare children to the man they marry, but when they find the hiding place of their coat they will abandon these children to return to the sea. Some legends say that these children are sometimes visited or saved by large seals later in their lives. When selkies first transform, their coat is the clothes they are wearing, so they are naked until clothed in the human fashion.

In seal form, they are a harp seal, dusty grey with dark spots. In human form they have long dusty pink hair and deep dark green eyes, large like a seals. Their coat takes the form of a fluffy winter coat, with the same colors as their seal skin. When they are wearing their coat, it works similar to a zoan fruit, they can transform by choice, and can do a hybrid form (similar to a mermaid) as well. Not trained in any particular fighting style, they're not much use in a battle, but they know basic first aid and are a good support to a team. They witnessed the murder of Corazon by Doffy (and prior, saw Law being placed in the treasure chest). //Canon Divergent// When Doffy leaves the island, leaving Corazon dying in the snow, They nurse him back to health slowly, giving him their coat to keep warm so that he doesn't freeze to death, and builds a small fire to keep him alive. When he comes to, they help him move inside the partially destroyed building. He gives her coat back willingly after explaining to him what it means to her, and that and his deep caring nature made her fall for him. When he's well enough to travel she travels with him so that he can reunite with Law, and they 'adopt' him.

Ace has been a part of the crew for as long as any of the other original members and harbored feelings for their captain for a very long time before eventually breaking down and confessing after feeling like they were going to lose him to impel down. Buggy is initially very awkward and flustered and nervous about the confession but admits that he had feelings too. He's a bit of a tsundere so sometimes it takes a lot to get hid real feelings out in the open. Buggy has huge jealousy issues and will be very very possessive. Has a huge soft spot for Ace. They fight with a comically large hammer, and with a similar style to capoeira where they are dancing as they fight. They are obnoxious after they're officially together, but it's cute.

oh so i watched cats yesterday...

first of all, we had to pay $16.50 for it bc it’s not available to rent anywhere bc they know this is the kinda thing people only wanna watch one time, so that’s already pretty vomit-inducing...

and you expect the cats to look awful and they do but it’s bad for so many other reasons?? it just fails in every way imaginable...

they didn’t seem to give any thought to the scale of the cats; they’re way too tiny in comparison to the people items we see them with, and the mice are then somehow way smaller to the point where they’re the size of like one cat finger?? and the cockroaches are the same size as the mice?? and that ridiculous ratio isn’t even consistent, like the props and everything are just all over the place. (how come ian mckellen’s coat had such large buttons? they can make cat-sized shoes, but not buttons? not to mention they’re still way too small to be human-sized buttons, so again, the inconsistent scaling... who makes the clothes for cats? why do some cats wear clothes inconsistently but others don’t wear clothes at all? taylor swift was completely naked except for a pair of high heels... why make a cat wear heels... have you ever met a cat! they hate wearing clothes, but shoes are even worse. not to mention she only wore them on her feet and not her hands. why do all these cats walk around on two legs, but then suddenly crawl at random times? why did that one cat hand that magician cat his hat with her mouth when she has two perfectly good hands and the cats have all been using their furless human hands to do things for the entirety of the movie??)

... nor did they seem to give any thought to how catlike these “cats” would be. in fact, it rly seemed like no one on the production crew or in the cast had ever had a cat before. or even interacted with one. or even seen one. which i know isn’t true for taylor at least, so what the hell? the way they moved veered between just regular-ass humans walking on two legs and doing ballet and shit (and do not get me started on the hiphop sequence, dear god, their animated legs moving... 🤢), and spider-man climbing up a wall only they were on the ground. neither made sense, neither were catlike. and why did some cats wear random clothing items while others wore none? some wore just shoes... jennifer or someone wore both a coat and something underneath it with neither covering her boobs at one point, so... what was the point of that outfit? what’s it doing for you at that point? and how come they didn’t give more cats colored contacts or cgi eyes?? only idris elba had cool green eyes, and everyone else just had regular human eyes, mostly just brown. i have three cats, and none of them have brown eyes. in fact, i just looked it up, and no cats have brown or black eyes. and i’m pretty sure miss white kitty victoria should have blue eyes~ (if they were blue, it wasn’t noticeable. idris elba’s eyes were an obvious, intense, clearly fake green, and i wanted more of that honestly.)

it’s so gross in multiple definitions of the word? firstly, there’s the trash scene, which... was just way grosser than it needed to be. & there’s rebel wilson eating human cockroaches, which was also very upsetting to watch and to hear the crunch,,, and the other aspect of it is the sexual energy?? which was just ever-present between every combination of characters, and actually left me confused as to who the main ship (🤮) was supposed to be for a while. why... dear god why... what the fuck were they insinuating lapping up milk in jason derulo’s number in the context of all the girls liking him...

oh that’s another thing. they made sir ian mckellen lap up water or something out of a bowl. it was completely unnecessary and added nothing to the story... so that was A Choice.

twice they had rebel wilson unzip her fucking skin to reveal a show biz outfit underneath, which is horrific enough on its own, but the way there was a huge gap between her chest and the boob cups of her dress?? it’s like okay... you already just let all the female cats have boobs and walk around naked for the entirety of the movie. but letting rebel fill in a dress is too much? that’s where you draw the line?? maybe don’t give her a dress with boob cups then!! it’s just sticking out in front of her and it looked awful... lol speaking of awful. the way they edited their ears through their hats... i’ve seen better work done in catboy edits on tumblr. and if y’all can’t do it then maybe just don’t. just consider not. doing that. it’s like they kept writing themselves into corners or not thinking things through or something. when will you learn that your actions have consequences!!!

they only had the cats show affection one way, and that was by like rubbing their faces together, and i know they did that in the musical too but god it just makes me so uncomfortable... i’d rather they just straight-up made out with their disturbingly human mouths. but it was rly confusing bc you’d see the “main” character victoria do that with her love interest (who was perhaps the most ugly hybrid... he didn’t even look like a human or a cat; he invented a new category and hopefully is the only one in that category forever), so you’re like ‘ok, this is how cats kiss’ or something. but they all do it. victoria did the same thing with dame judi dench! (i rly thought this movie was just gonna end with a big ole orgy, honestly.) so it’s not kissing, it’s more like hugging? but then we literally saw two cats hug each other with their human arms at one point i’m pretty sure... so wtf?!

jennifer hudson always had snot on her face?? like her nose was running, a lot of the time the snot would actually be on her lips, like... that’s the only way they could think of to show her emotions?? sometimes they weren’t even tears, it was literally Just Snot.

the songs weren’t fun at all. they were completely devoid of energy, so to have everyone dance to them didn’t even work or make sense. they’d pause in the middle of songs a lot (e.g. to make jokes about james corden being fat wow so funny hahaha) and ruin any momentum they might’ve otherwise had. a lot of the time they weren’t even singing so much as talking or whispering or chanting with a faint bgm playing over it.

the fatphobia, oh my god. rebel wilson and james corden’s characters only existed for the movie to make jokes about them being fat and eating a lot and have them do awful slapstick.

the main character had no personality at all and didn’t even have her all-important cat name at the end of the movie, which rly shows how much she mattered... yeah she got jennifer hudson sent up into the heavens to either be reborn or just fucking die up there bc how would they know this process actually works? but that’s it. otherwise she just got swept from side character to side character and adapted whatever traits they possessed for the duration of their song.

not only were all the cats way too sexual (i rly think watching actual straight-up porn would be less graphic and disturbing than watching whatever gross fetish this movie exists to cater to), not only did they seemingly make a cum joke (that was the only time they drank milk in the movie! when they were all trying to get with jason derulo! who, btw, is just a nasty person which made it all the more gross to watch), they also... slut-shamed jennifer hudson? and all did drugs, some against their will, in another very uncomfortable, sexually charged sequence. so like what is this movie rated actually and who is it for?? why make a children’s movie with such adult themes? but then, what adult would laugh at james corden being too heavy to get catapulted into the air (followed by him landing on his balls, because humor!)?

taylor swift can’t do a british accent.

lastly, cats have eight nipples. so, to loosely quote danny gonzalez: if you’re gonna give them boobs, at least give them the right amount of boobs.

Why I like them:

for all my angry yelling and kicking and complaining you may be surprised to learn that clow(riol) is one of my favorite parts of ccs! 

i think that having the Mystery and Legend of a long-dead wizard that hangs over sakura’s head at the start get light shed on it more and more so that we can see he’s just a person makes the world of ccs feel small and personal. it really stabilizes the heart of the series, what i love most about ccs- that it’s a story about individuals and the choices they make. the magic itself all traces back to one man and the way he felt it was right to act and to treat other people. i think he’s a fascinating character and a very very good choice of central figure.

Why I don’t:

THAT SAID, AAAAAGHHHHH HE IS HORRIBLE HE IS JUST A TERRIBLE LITTLE MAN I HATE HIM I HATE HIM SOOOO MUCH. even putting aside everything he* pulls as eriol, just the things he does as clow reed make me SO upset....LYING ABOUT HIS DEATH??? GENUINE TIE BETWEEN THE BACK TO THE PAST EP OF THE ANIME AND THE SAKURA SEES THE TRUTH SCENE IN MANGA. i think both of them are great- the tightly controlled dreamy guided tour where she sees just what he wants her to see, AND sakura outpowering him and seeing the reality of his lies. in the manga when sakura sees him gives gentle headkisses to kero and yue before putting them to bed and eriol+fujitaka-ing i go AUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ....... THEY LOVE SOMEONE WHO IS TERRIBLE AAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUU MY HEART. i headcanon that’s when he mind-messed with them, too, i think he had to touch them to do it and that was how.

yuuko again i guess? and him and all his creations. headcanon territory even though that’s actually the next question but you asked for my thoughts so here they are: i think of him as trying to be a sort of fun camp counselor or teacher type for kero+yue and the cards- specifically a role with an authority behind it, but without the same sort of responsibility that a parent would have. or, i guess, lacking an unconditional love, always an undertone of you having to prove yourself. someone who you go to to learn from, but if he likes can also go “no no im just like you, now let’s have fun!”. it’s hard to explain, but there’s a difference. 

what i’m trying to get at here is i think it’s significant that the only creations he has that we see him truly ‘raise’, (going by the info+lack of it we have, anyway, i fill in the blank for myself that kero and yue and the cards all showed up full of knowledge, fully formed, CLAMP DO NOT INTERACT!!!!!), were the mokonas, with yuuko. it was another person’s influence that brought a parental attitude in, it’s not something he ever wanted to be. there’s also a healthy dose of “yue textually had a crush on clow and i will not, no way, let you make that any more unfortunate than that already is”, i’ll admit, but i think that’s just a puzzle piece of the whole theory here. i think it would also be funny if he knew people like tolkein (eriol’s a tolkeinverse name if i remember correctly) and c.s. lewis (side note, i find the fact that clow is an actively practicing christian really funny), but i dont want to think too deeply about that sort of realworld mix, yknow.

i think pranks were highly encouraged in his house and none of the clow cards are being intentionally destructive, just acting in ways that were totally normal at home, and are genuinely shocked to learn that people will get seriously injured without clow there to cushion their damage.

“Here you go Ada.” (Y/N) smiled as she handed the finished papers over, their hands softly brushing over each others.

“Thanks (Y/N). Are we still on for tomorrow?” she asked, smiling as she glanced around, wondering if anyone had noticed.

“Of course we are.” (Y/N) perched on the edge of the desk.“I’ve been looking forward to this all week!”

“Do you think we should have made a banner? I don’t know whether there will be any, do you think anyone will have them?”

“Ada, we don’t have time! Besides, us just being there is enough; a woman working for the Shelby’s, marching in a protest with a Shelby!”

“Oh, so that’s why you asked me to the march.”

“That’s not the only reason. You’re pretty cute too.”

Ada reached over to whack (Y/N) with her papers, missing as she jumped out of the way, both of them laughing. Some heads turned, dismissing the behaviour, whereas others thought back to the rumours that had been circling. (Y/N) hardly hid her differences, walking around in suits made by the same people as Thomas Shelby, never once being seen in a skirt or dress. She was always immaculately dressed, her hair scraped back in a ponytail or bun (apart from when she had had a few too many whiskies in the Garrison). As a woman who stood out, some men were put off by her confidence, knowing that they could never control her; however, there were others that wanted the challenge, though they were met with the surprise of her sharp wit and insults if they offended her. No one had ever seen (Y/N) with a man on her arm, or even flirting with one, most people put two and two together and well...that’s where the rumours came in.

“And where are you two off to tomorrow?” Polly asked, knowing that they had taken the day off for a bad reason.

“Would you believe us if we said we were going shopping?” (Y/N) smirked.

“And why the fuck would you be going shopping?”

Ada giggled.“We’re going to a protest for women’s rights.”

“Of course you are.”

“Polly, how are we supposed to progress towards any sort of equality with that sort of attitude? I mean, you’ve been to one-”

“I’m going to stop you right there Ada. You know I can’t come, if I could, I would, but also remember the last time I went?”

(Y/N) tried to keep her laugh to herself.“You were so drunk, it was the best day of my life.”

“Glad someone enjoyed themselves. Don’t cause trouble or draw attention to yourselves, you are representing the Shelby’s remember. Tommy isn’t in a good mood, business gone wrong, I don’t want him anymore pissed off.” Polly warned before leaving us.

(Y/N) scoffed.“When is he ever in a good mood?”

The next day came, and both women were up bright and early, excited to join their sisters in the march. (Y/N) stood on the corner of the street, leaning against the side of a house, waiting for Ada as instructed. She knew her brothers would try to stop her, it was bad for the Shelby image. But did she care? Of course not. (Y/N) heard footsteps coming towards her, grinning when Ada practically skipped towards her, looping their arms together as they got close.

“You ready?” (Y/N) asked, already walking.

“Yep! Luckily it was just Pol in the house, so I got out easily.”

“Let’s go, I wanna get a good spot in the crowd.”

There was a sense of power in the air as the pair joined the women forming a crowd outside a factory, especially as they stood together. They had left their work or homes to band together, it was empowering. The woman taking lead of the march stood on a crate and spoke up, announcing that they would wait ten more minutes before starting, receiving a cheer as a reply. Ada and (Y/N) found themselves speaking to those close to them, all of the ladies introducing themselves and joking about what they were missing out on that day. More women showed up, a regularly large crowd forming.

“Ladies, you have all left your homes this morning for a reason, for the same reason.” the leader projected her voice, capturing everyone’s attention.“You want to make the world a more equal place for the women in it now, and for future generations. This is just the first step among many, some days we will run, maybe even soar, but other days will be hard. There will be days where we are beaten back, where we will have to retract those steps in order to progress. Though I believe that if we stick together, we can make a difference!”

Everyone cheered, getting excited for their march. The leader started to go through where they would be walking, and what to look out for (such as pubs which held drunk men throughout the day, the factories where they would surely be called out at). 

“I truly think this is going to be historical.” (Y/N) whispered to Ada.

“And we’re a part of it! I can’t wait to see the look on Tommy’s face when he realises we’re marching past the shop.” Ada smirked, holding her head up high.

“Oh, that will be classic! I’m so sick of some of his workers you know. Actually, I’ve been meaning to speak to him about that....wait, are those policemen?”

They turned their heads, confirming what (Y/N) had just asked. Everyone had noticed but stood their ground.

“Gentlemen, can we help you?” the leader sassed, crossing her arms over her chest. They didn’t reply, but started grabbing women and pulling them away from the group.“Let go of them! We haven’t done anything against the law!”

The once peaceful protest had turned into a riot, the policemen harshly pulling apart the crowd; women were thrown to the floor, others against walls, some were even being handcuffed! Screams, cries of pain and protest rang out in the street, confusion and anger on everyone’s faces. (Y/N) had immediately grabbed Ada’s hand, dragging her away from the scene when a policeman stopped her. She thrashed her fists against him as they were torn apart, screaming out for Ada. (Y/N) lost sight of her, having to concentrate on not getting her face pulverised.

(Y/N) wasn’t a great fighter, though she knew some things about self defence; however, he was able to overpower her, tripping her up so that she fell to the ground. Her eyes widened when the police officer raised his truncheon, not holding back when he swung it down at her, using all his strength. The blows were sharp and strong, (Y/N) crying out as she became winded, her body aching in many different places. She tried to reach out and grab it, but it slipped past her fingers, hitting her square in the face. Her nose stung, the metallic taste of blood filling her mouth. She started choking, rolling onto her side, though this exposed her even more to the beatings. Her scream rang out as she felt something crack, the feeling inside of her making her want to be sick.

Suddenly the beatings stopped, and she finally had a chance to breathe, recollect herself. (Y/N) looked around her, vision blurry as she tried to make out what was happening. There were still people being attacked, though (Y/N) didn’t stick around long enough to help. She was clumsily pulled to her feet, at first fighting them off because she thought it was a policeman again, only stopping when she heard Ada’s voice.

“It’s alright! It’s alright! It’s Ada, we need to go, now!” she rushed, helping the woman to her feet.

Although (Y/N) still wasn’t all there, she was only just able to stagger, her steps slow and unsteady. Ada didn’t want to rush her, knowing that she was injured, however, there were still policemen everywhere, she couldn’t defend both of them. They were extremely lucky to escape despite their slow steps, finally making it back to Polly’s house. As Ada took all of (Y/N)’s body weight, her eyes glanced towards the clock; all of that had happened in just under an hour, how was that possible?! 

“Pol? Polly?!” Ada yelled out, placing (Y/N) onto a seat at the kitchen table, holding onto her as she slumped.“(Y/N), you have to stay awake! Pol’s going to help you.”

Polly rushed downstairs at the sound of her distressed niece, eyes widening at the sight. Her niece had blood splattered on her face, clothes in disarray, but it was the sight of (Y/N) that shocked her; her entire face was red, the whites of the her eyes standing out, she wasn’t fully conscious, her head lulling side to side as she tried to stay awake.

“What the fuck happened?” Polly exclaimed, rushing over to them.

“The-the police...they just showed up and attacked us! We didn’t even say anything, they just grabbed the women and started beating them up. (Y/N) tried to protect me but one of them got her and-”

“Alright, alright! Get me warm water and towels, quickly!”

Ada ran upstairs as Polly gently removed (Y/N)’s coat and suit jacket, her white shirt was doused in her blood. As Polly felt around her torso, (Y/N) yelped at the pain that shot through her ribs. 

“Sorry, I think it’s fractured, how’s your breathing?” Polly assessed.

“It just hurts when I take deep breaths.” (Y/N) winced, wiping her bloody mouth with the back of her hand.

Ada’s heavy footsteps bellowed around the house as she came back, filling up a bowl with the warm water before giving that and the towels to Polly.

“Starting cleaning her face, I need to cut her shirt off.” Polly instructed.

“(Y/N)? I need to clean your face, OK? Just concentrate on me, alright?” Ada shakily said.

(Y/N) hummed in response, welcoming the relaxing feeling of the warm water on her face. Polly kept glancing upwards the the young women, watching her niece’s adoring eyes bore into (Y/N)’s. Polly continued to check for any other injuries, finding more and more black bruising, beatings that had broken the skin; it would take weeks before she was fully healed.

“You should have run. I would have got away.” Ada mumbled, stroking back (Y/N)’s hair.“Oh, there’s blood in your hair too.”

“I would never eave you like that, they were going to hurt you.” (Y/N) coughed.

“But look what happened to you! Why did those bastards even attack us in the first place?!”

The aunt was surprised by Ada’s snap, even though she knew how much trauma had just been caused. But as she looked at them, Ada cradling (Y/N)’s upper body in her arms, her head on top of the injured woman, laying a sweet kiss on it, things started to piece together. Those looks weren’t those of best friends, they were something more. Ada’s defensive state, her refusal of leaving, it made sense now. (Y/N) was leaning into Ada’s embrace, gripping onto her arm as Polly examined her. Polly had always dismissed the rumours, shot down any questions thrown her way, and now she was seeing the real truth.

With a sigh, Polly carried on looking at (Y/N)’s wounds before moving onto Ada. Happy that her niece wasn’t harmed (apart from some bruising), she loosely tied a bandage around (Y/N)’s ribs, instructing that she do nothing extremely physical for the next six weeks in order to heal. Polly and Ada assisted (Y/N) upstairs, changing her into a nightgown and gently laying her down in Ada’s old bed. Before Ada could even sit next to her, Polly grabbed her arm.

“Ada, a word.” 

Ada rolled her eyes, hesitantly following Polly out of the room. They stood in the hallway, voices hushed as they spoke.

“What?” Ada crossed her arms over her chest.

“Whatever is going on between you two, you need to be careful.”

“What do you mean?”

“You know what I mean, I’m not an idiot Ada! People have already been speaking of this, if this got out-”

“What would happen? Would it be so bad?”

“Ada, people aren’t accepting of this! It isn’t normal.”

“Normal? The fact that we...that we-”

“That you love each other? See, you can’t even say it.”

“We haven’t spoke of this! It just sort of happened. We’ll talk about it when we’re comfortable.”

“Will that be before or after you fuck?”

Ada gasped.“It’s not about sex. (Y/N) has always understood me, she’s always been by my side. I can’t see my life without her in it.”

“These things you’re saying are huge, you know that don’t you?”

“Yes, and I wouldn’t say them if I didn’t mean it.”

“Ada, I’m just worried. People will target you even more for loving a woman, it won’t be safe.”

“I’m not going to convince you otherwise, am I?”

“No. And I don’t care if people don’t accept it, it’s my life. I’ll do what I want.”

With that, Ada went back into her old bedroom, desperately wanting to slam the door, but not wanting to wake up (Y/N). She couldn’t help but melt at the peaceful sight. Her steps were light as to not make the floorboards creak, silently laying beside (Y/N) in the bed. Gently holding her hand, Ada kissed it, tears forming in her eyes.

“I’m sorry that you got hurt protecting me.” she whispered.“I wish I could have done more. I wish people wouldn’t look at us differently if we told them about us. But...but maybe, if there are any differences made to women’s rights, we might have a chance. It doesn’t matter what the world thinks, because I love you. And I know you love me. That’s all I need in this world, you’re all I need in this world.”

She knew (Y/N) couldn’t hear her. It didn’t matter. Her words were true and it felt good to speak them. One day, when she was confident enough, Ada would tell her in person, and hopefully receive the same words back. Their love was strong, stronger than any other love Ada had seen. And that’s what was going to get them through this, through this terrible, evil world.

This is nothing I have ever done before, but let me try. Obviously those are just suggestions, nothing’s set in stone. I am basically just raiding my pinterest here (there isn’t a lot I do well, but I can make pretty solid pinterest boards)

So, onward to my findings!

I don’t know that much about her, but you mentioned her preferences for dark colors and her physiques fit one of my own characters a lot, so I am going from that.

Considering your apprentice is staying with Asra (that’s what I predicted anyway, so I will go with that for now), a practical outfit will be more useful than a fancy one. Which doesn’t mean we will have to go less pretty, though.

If we look at Asra’s outfit we see he is wearing layers, though the fabric is still rather thin due to Vesuvia’s climate. Another aspect to consider when choosing the apprentice’s outfit.

There may need to be some tweaking with the colors & fabrics as these are what I could imagine Ally to wear. It’s comfy & practical while still looking pretty damn cool. 

One aesthetic I will hold onto and recommend for anyone because it’s epic: capes & coats & anything that’s ~~flowy~~. Look at them, it looks regal & cool & completes every outfit. Also you can stand in a gust of wind & it will look very dramatic. #makecapesgreatagain
