A response to myst1calx
So a few weeks ago, a made a post titled The MCU Synergy Problem.
In that post, I discussed how a lot of Marvel's projects during the 2010s and 2020s have been somewhat dragged down by being constantly forced to be adjacent to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
If you want to check it out for yourself, here's the link to it below.
As of right now, the post has gotten six likes and a reblog.
However, the reblog I got was essentially a written response.
And somewhat hostile one.
And weirdly enough, it was from one of the six people who liked the post.
So I'm not sure on whether or not they actually liked it or they hated it.
From the way the reblog was written, it seemed like they didn't really like it.
And in addition to that, they're also a sense of confusion as well.
So today, I decided to make a response to the person that did the reblog: myst1calx.
I'm going to respond to all the points they brought up in their reblog while trying to be as civil as possible.
Though there may be a point in this where I do seem pretty angry.
Now that we got that out of the way, let's get started.
"ok but the shows in the 2010s didnt suffer from mcu synergy because they activley fought against it"
This one is a both right and wrong.
Ultimate Spider-Man and Spider-Man (2017) are really the only shows that didn't suffer from MCU synergy.
Spidey hadn't been introduced into the MCU yet when Ultimate came out and when he was, it was during Ultimate's final season.
When Spidey wouldn't even get his own movie in the MCU until after Ultimate ended.
And Spider-Man '17 surprisingly didn't really have a whole lot of MCU influence despite lasting for most of Spidey's MCU trilogy.
It took more influence from Brian Michael Bendis' Ultimate Spider-Man and Dan Slott's run on Amazing Spider-Man.
Avengers Assemble, despite being created just to ride off the success of the first Avengers film, didn't really have a whole lot of MCU synergy at.....for the first two seasons.
But I'll touch on that a little later.
Guardians of the Galaxy.
Dude, out of all the Marvel shows of the 2010s, this one was undoubtedly the most blatant with the MCU synergy.
I mean, just look this promotional poster.
Tumblr media
Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. also has blatant case of MCU synergy, but in a more subtle and honestly, sinister way.
The show was about the titular Agents of S.M.A.S.H. learning how to be a family and fighting off bad guys with a variety of high-tech gadgets.
Not exactly something you would think of from a show about the Hulk of all characters.
But let's turn our attention to the villains of this show.
Out of all the villains, this show only really features 4 of the Hulk's foes.
The Leader, The Abomination, The Absorbing Man, Titania, Wendigo, Xemnu and Maestro.
Yeah! No Wrecking Crew, U-Foes, Zzzax, Madman, Bi-Beast, Gargoyle, Flux, Grey Gargoyle, Umar, Nightmare, Man-Beast, Ravage, or John Ryker.
Now compare this to the other villains included in the show.
Besides the Hulk associated villains, the other villains in show include the likes of Annihilus, Blastaar, Ego the Living Planet, Laufey, The Mole Man, Doctor Doom, Galactus and his heralds, Impossible Man, Loki, Malekith the Accursed, Dormammu, Sauron, Ronan the Accuser, The High Evolutionary, The Red Ghost and his Super-Apes, Pluto, and The Supreme Intelligence.
Upon reading this, you probably that most the villains listed here are predominately connected to the Fantastic Four, not really Hulk himself.
This, along with the aforementioned focus on family and use of technology, has led many people to theorize that Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. was originally meant to be a new Fantastic Four cartoon, but was changed to be a Hulk cartoon at some point development.
The potential reason for this was that this show did come out right at the beginning of Marvel's "The Fantastic Four and X-Men don't matter anymore" phase because of the whole movie rights bullshit.
And while there hasn't been any official confirmation about this theory from any who has worked on the show, the connections are still quite apparent.
As for why they decided to make Hulk the star of the show instead if they couldn't use the Fantastic Four, I guess besides the fact he's among the most prominent allies of the Four, it was because he was the only other option that people could see working with this premise.
The other ones that could possibly fit this would be The Avengers and maybe Spider-Man, but they already had their own shows going on around that time.
So all in all, the MCU synergy did affect most of the 2010s shows.
Some were definitely more apparent than others, but still.
"if you wanna make the claim that its all mcu synergy, you can see it starting in 2017, not 13"
Now this one is weird because a good chunk of the MCU synergized elements that occured in the comics happened before 2017.
-The current, obviously MCU-inspired Loki was introduced in 2011
-Hawkeye with the tired dad energy was introduced in 2012
-The Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver happened in 2015
-Literally everything with the Guardians of the Galaxy in 2015
I think maybe they were trying to say that the MCU synergy became more apparent starting in 2017, which.....yeah, they are kinda right about that.
But I reason I say this is a weird statement is because what myst1calx says later in their reblog.
Which I'll get to.
"also advertising doesnt always mean mcu syndication slop dude"
Dude, I never said anything about the advertisement for the MCU being the same as MCU synergy slock.
Advertising for the MCU is perfectly fine. I mean, Marvel would want their project to do well, right?
But the problem is using a piece of Marvel media that isn't connected to the MCU and having it resemble the MCU.
It just doesn't allow it the product to stand on it's own.
"like dont bring avengers assemble and aos and usm into this"
Why shouldn't?
Avengers Assemble does play a part in the MCU synergy problem.
I didn't even mention Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. at all in my post.
And for Ultimate Spider-Man.....
I only brought up the comic for a point I was making about a weird similarity I noticed between most modern non-MCU projects and most recent Spider-Man media.
And if we're talking about the cartoon, I literally just said it didn't suffer from any MCU synergy at all.
"this is entierly a thing that started with the 2017 uni and it comics. just correcting because i'm tire dof the whole “ mcu syndication rhetoric” when talking about aa it's so fucking annoying"
The MCU synergy has been around before 2017, they think were just saying that it became before prominent and explicit than before.
But the whole "MCU syndication rhetoric" when about AA.....
While yes, Avengers Assemble may not have the most blatant case of MCU synergy out of the non-MCU TV shows of the 2010s (Guardians of the Galaxy say "hi" again.), it's hard not to mention it as it does play a big part in that show.
From the content within the show, to literally why the show was made in the first place.
"look at the comics or anything from like. idk 2017 onwards."
This one I do agree (sort of).
I don't what the comics have to do with AA (they're completely different continuities), but I do know that the MCU synergy has gotten worse with the comics since 2017.
I mean for God's sake, the latest case of this was just last year with Ms. Marvel being retconned into a mutant.
"like you COULD make a claim abt this but honestly i see it more as you guys just not liking new shit"
But I like some of the new Marvel shit.....
the Insomniac Spider-Man games, the Spider-Verse films, Midnight Suns, those Marvel animes, and that upcoming Marvel Rivals game.
Hell, I actually like Avengers Assemble as well.
I know I didn't mention it in my post, I actually do like this show a lot.
I know it's not as good as the show that came before it, The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, but I still acknowledge it merits and enjoy it as its own thing.
But most of the other non-MCU projects I'm just not that wild about.
Since let's be real, they're kinda just.....
youtube
"like being fr, have you ever watched or played any of these games or do you see that at face value"
Yes, I have watched and played both Avengers and Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite.
And both of these are just not that good.
While they're definitely not the worst games ever, they're just nothing really home to write home about.
For Avengers, this game was pure wasted potential.
I mean, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics had access to an IP that at the time of acquiring it, had over 50 years worth of history!
That IP had hundreds of comics with numerous storylines worth adapting, an enormous roster of characters, a multitude of other iterations to easily take some influence from, and most of all, a movie franchise that helped make it into the powerhouse it is today.
But with all that, they found some way to screw it up!
The plot is nothing home to rave about. It's just you're standard "getting the band back together" plot.
The graphics are....passable. Just your standard very realistic-looking game.
The gameplay is repetitive as all hell and fails at making any of the characters feel distinct from one another.
The bonus content is a total joke. I mean putting aside the obvious micro-transactions, most of the purchasable costumes absolutely suck. They're either just half-assed attempts at recreating outfits from whatever source material they came from, or just recolors of each other.
And most of all, the game has some of the most pitiful representation of the Marvel Universe ever put to screen.
I mean, can you name any notable locations from the comics that was featured in the game?
The only one was Wakanda, but even that could've been done a little better.
There was no Asgard or any of the other Nine Realms, no Latveria, no Kamar-Taj, no Dark Dimension, no Atlantis, no Savage Land.
Hell, we don't even get to go to New York! Despite the fact that like 90% of the Marvel characters are based there.
All we got were primarily generic-looking bases, deserts and forests (occasionally with some snow).
And in my post, I mentioned that there was a list of playable characters planned to be in the game.
In addition to Spider-Man and Hawkeye, this list included the likes of Ant-Man, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Captain Mar-Vell, Daisy Johnson, Doctor Strange, The Falcon, Kate Bishop, Mockingbird, Scarlet Witch, She-Hulk, The Vision, The Wasp, War Machine, and the Winter Soldier.
But only five characters from that list made it into that game, plus the Jane Foster Thor, which let's be real, that was only done just to coincidence with the release of Thor: Love and Thunder.
You can't tell me that the roster we got by the time the game finished updating was better than the one that was initially planned.
And I reason I say this game was pure wasted potential was because.....look at who the Avengers have had as members over the decades!
People don't seem to know this a lot or ever really acknowledge it, but the Avengers are like a melting pot, as they've had members from basically every corner of the Marvel Universe!
Heroes from the mystical side like the aforementioned Doctor Strange, Hercules, Black Knight and White Tiger.
Heroes from the cosmic side like the aforementioned Captain Marvels, Monica Rambeau, Moondragon and Nova.
Several street-level heroes like the aforementioned Spider-Man, Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones and Shang-Chi.
A couple of mutants have been members like Quicksilver and The Scarlet Witch and even members of the X-Men, namely Wolverine, Beast and Storm.
Hell. Literally every member of the Fantastic Four has been a member of the Avengers at one point!
Like, does anyone else see the potential I'm bringing up?!
There could've easily been several DLCs that got to explore much greater Marvel Universe.
But alas, we never got that....
As for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite....
Jesus....
Apart from the admittedly decent gameplay, there's just nothing else good about this game.
The graphics totally suck. They threw away the gorgeous cel-shaded, comic book-inspired look from 3: Fate of Two Worlds for this bland, kinda ugly pseudo-realistic look for the sake of just like damn-near everything else in that game: MCU synergy.
Not to mention they look pretty cheap, especially in the cutscenes.
The reason being that this game had a pretty low budget.....and it really shows.
The music was mid, since, once again, they changed many of the characters themes in order to make it more MCU-inspired.
And while I do respect that this game is the first one in the series to have a story-mode, it's unfortunate that the story-mode sucks.
The plot was just so lame and was obviously riding the hype for the then-upcoming Avengers: Infinity War.
And I already brought up the absolute disgrace of a roster and the behind-the-scenes drama of this game in my poster.
All in all, these games may not be the worst games of all time, but they're just not worth anyone's time or money.
If you like these games, more power to ya.
"because i see more misconceptions about characters in deisgn and charaterizations in the 2010s morethan anything"
I'm not sure about this one.
Most of the stuff I said about the designs and characterizations in the comics is largely truly.
But maybe one of them was possibly exaggerated and not nearly as prevalent as most people make it out to be.
"and the thing is is that marvel will just keep doing this bullshit because you guys keep buying into it"
I just pointed it out that most of the stuff on the designs and characterizations is largely true.
It almost feels like they're trying to downplay just how prevalent the MCU synergy is in the comics.
Which is weird since they just admitted early with how prevalent the MCU synergy is in the comics!
And also.....
Fuck off with that bullshit.
Don't blame this on the fans.
They're (mostly) not the ones clamoring for this MCU synergy!
Marvel is doing this on their own term and are obviously doing this to appeal to more contemporary fans who got introduced to Marvel through the MCU.
And as I mentioned in my post, I'm convinced that the people at Marvel believe these guys have never heard of the word: adaptation.
Not only that, but they also seem to believe that these fans will get confused that the comics don't line-up with the movies 1-to-1.
And trust me, this isn't the first time something like this has happened with Marvel.
"this doesnt work for most of the shows pre 2016 in the 2010s marvel area because they didnt suffer from it until marvel started forcing it on them for maximum profits #which then ended up biting them in the ass when avengers assemble fans dropped the show after relazing that s5 became shitty mcu syndication"
Now this part is true.
The MCU synergy started to become much more prominent roughly around 2016/2017.
I already went into how this negatively affected stuff like Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, but let's head back to the main focus of this part, Avengers Assemble.
Although AA was created to obviously ride the wave of success caused by the first Avengers film, it surprisingly had very little MCU synergy....for, as I mentioned earlier, the first two seasons.
The only examples I can think of from the first two seasons was when they recreated the Chitauri in the Impossible Man, and a few references that got turned on their head like when Hulk tries to punch Thor, but he blocks it with Mjolnir.
But when season 3 came around....that's when everything changed.
During that season, it was pretty apparent they were really striving to be more like the MCU than in prior seasons.
The season featured Ultron as the main antagonist be he was in the latest Avengers movie at time, Age of Ultron.
Despite the fact that when the season premiered, Age of Ultron for almost a year at that point....
The Avengers got new outfits, pulled directly from the movies.
Hulk and Black Widow had something going on between them....like in the movies.
Klaw, who first appeared in Ultimate Spider-Man (which is connected to AA), receives a major redesign, looking like how he did in the movies, whereas before, he looked like how did in the comics.
The last four episodes were based off Civil War (I wonder why?).
They move their headquarters to a compound....once again, like in the movies.
And they predominately featured the Inhumans as recurring characters, since this was back when Marvel were trying to push them as the next big characters in order to replace the X-Men and promote their then-upcoming movie.
Which ended up getting cancelled and got replaced by a shitty TV show....which was cancelled after just one season.
In Season 4, this synergy was thankfully less present.
There was aforementioned Falcon redesign.
And Doctor Strange got one as well, to look more like how he did in the movies.
But then came along Season 5....
Dear God....
Not only was the MCU synergy just as prevalent as it was in Season 3 (maybe even more so, especially with the fact that it was heavily focused on Black Panther), but it even took place in a completely different continuity.
Yep! Season 5 was completely removed from the previous 4 seasons!
And to make matters worse, it was set in the same universe as Spider-Man 2017.....and Guardians of the Galaxy!
Which itself was connected to the first 4 seasons of AA.
HOW DOES THAT EVEN WORK?!
youtube
"this didnt START from the 2010s. it started midway throu"
Once again, the MCU synergy has been around since the early 2010s.
It was only at the midway point of that decade where started to become more prevalent than before.
And outside of the comics, the earliest case I think of for this was with EMH, which had Iron Man acting exactly like how he did in the movies.
Hell, even Hulk looked pretty similar to how he did in his solo film everybody forgot about.
"and creeped its way in because you guys LET IT HAPPEN"
Once again, fuck off with that bullshit.
"half of the things mentioned arent even mcu syndicationy they just suffer from current realisitc game trends that we are the norm"
I can definitely tell they're talking about Square Enix's Avengers.
But in all honesty, but game didn't really have a whole lot of MCU synergy.
It was still there, specifically with how the characters look.
I mean, everyone has said it before, but the Avengers looked like the stunt doubles for the MCU actors.
But it wasn't as prevalent as some of the other Marvel media to feature it.
Doesn't really make it much better though.
The game is honestly sort of a Schrodinger's video game, where doesn't take much from the comics or any other iterations of the Avengers, but doesn't take much from the MCU either.
"like what is your point here? “oh not every marvel property is the same is the comics” dude nobody buys comic shit because they arent as easy to get into the manga you guys perpetuate this shit and then wonder why cb fandoms are always filled with normies"
And here we are....
Now this is the last part of the reblog, and the one that really annoys me the most.
My point of that post was to show how not only was the constant MCU synergy incredibly tiring, but also been doing a lot of harm to their recent projects that aren't connected to the MCU.
Like, Avengers Assemble could've gone down as one of the greatest Marvel cartoons ever made!
But it got bogged down by the MCU synergy of the later seasons.
So much so that the final season wasn't even connected to the previous ones!
And now, it's usually just seen as the "we have the MCU at home" show.
And I do I even need to bring up Infinite into this?
And not only that, but it's also been bringing out the worst in Marvel.
I mean, just look at my post and read up on how much they made Capcom suffer during the production of Infinite.
But the synergy has not only harmed potentially good projects and lead to promising upcoming projects to be thrown to the Shadow Realm, but even good projects in unintentional ways.
The Guardians of the Galaxy video game was really good and the people who played it all agreed that this was what Avengers should've been!
But despite the positive reception, the game ended up flopping hard.
And while this was largely thanks to the failure of Avengers (since Guardians was also produced by Square Enix), I feel like the growing annoying towards MCU synergy may've played a part in this as well.
Since remember: out of all the characters of Marvel, the Guardians have been the ones undoubtedly changed by the MCU the most.
It's like....not even a contest.
And not only is this synergy doing harm to their non-MCU projects, but also gonna start (and it's possibly already has been) doing harm to the Marvel brand itself.
This is largely because of how homogenized they've made everything, which is not gonna be helping them because of rapidly declining interest in the MCU (aka Marvel Fatigue).
I mean, last year was just not a good year for them.
Besides Guardians of the Galaxy 3, two other films that released that year (Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania and The Marvels).
Both those films were met critically with what could be described as a resounding "meh".
But the real damage came in their box office.
Quantumania was a box-office disappointment, grossing $476.1 million worldwide against a gross production budget of $326.6 million, being one of the few MCU films not to break even in its theatrical run.
And The Marvels.....
Oh man, The Marvels....
That film was a box-office bomb! Grossing $206 million worldwide against a gross production budget of $274.8 million. And it now holds the record for being the lowest-grossing film in the franchise's history!
That had to be hurting Marve!
And it seems so as just recently, Marvel Studios announced they would be limiting the amount of MCU projects they release a year.
And while Marvel largely targeted towards the MCU itself, I feel like could also potentially start harming non-MCU projects.
Since let's be real, one of the many issues people have had with the recent MCU is how formulaic and generic it's become.
From the trademark forced and frankly mediocre humor, to having damn-near every threat be potentially world-ending.
I'm pretty sure the same could be applied to what people usually expect from a modern non-MCU project.
It's gonna have a semi-realistic art-style.
It's gonna feature the big characters (Avengers, Guardians and Spider-Man) featured in the MCU and barely anyone else (Fantastic Four, X-Men, street-level heroes).
They're all gonna be wearing their MCU outfits.
Every character is gonna be a quippy asshole (expect the ones who are suppose to be quippy assholes like Hawkeye and Spider-Man).
And it's gonna have a world-ending threat, with either Loki or Thanos as the main villain.
(Maybe Ultron if you're lucky)
And if this keep going, I'm sure Kang the Conquerer will essentially become the next villain to always be the main villain.
Well, if he's still going to be used in the MCU....
Tumblr media
On to the next point.
“oh not every marvel property is the same is the comics”
Okay.
This has been a topic of debate when it comes to comic book adaptations for years.
Whether or not all comic book adaptations should strive to be like, 100% faithful to the source material.
To me, I think the answer to this is, in the words of the Pirate Captain,....
youtube
If this is for a series like Watchmen, 300 and Invincible, I feel like you should definitely make the adaptation as faithful as possible.
But even then, there would be definitely be some changes to the source material, since they would have story elements that were either weak or just plain bad.
Basically, maybe people's ideas on adaptations is to utilize what works, and either strengthen or get rid of what doesn't.
But when doing an adaptation for the big dogs like DC and Marvel.....this is where things get really tricky.
Because DC and Marvel have ongoing continuities with no end in sight, doing a largely faithful adaptation of any of their characters' stories would be an absolute nightmare since that characters will often have literal DECADES of history, plus hundreds to thousands of comics to read in order to understand said history.
If you've noticed, a lot of adaptations of DC and Marvel aren't exactly 1-to-1 adaptations of the stories from the comics.
But the reason why they're held in such high regard is because in spite of that, they manage to stay faithful to the spirit, tone and characterizations of the comics.
And even then, they will still adapt storylines and elements from the comics, but just little more streamlined.
Essentially, the best way I can describe how adaptations of DC and Marvel work is that they use the comics as a basis (along with other iterations) and essentially strive for something that's familiar while still being different.
For example, let's look at some of the Batman cartoons.
Although having some similarities, the three shows I'm about to bring up are still largely different from each other.
Batman: The Animated Series focused on the adventures of an already experienced Batman (having been at this gig for years and already knowing his villains) and his relationships with those around him.
The Batman, while somewhat similar to its predecessor, is focused on a younger and slightly-less experienced Batman learning to become a better hero.
And Batman: The Brave and Bold, is completely different from the prior two shows as it's focused on Batman's adventures interacting with the much greater DC Universe, specifically the lesser-known side.
But despite that, from watching these shows, you can still tell that they all used the comics (along with other iterations) as a basis and just built upon that in unique ways.
Contrast that with many of the non-MCU projects/products of the 2010s, which were obviously using the movies as a basis....and nothing really else.
And not only is this limiting to what these projects could do, but it's also kind of disingenuous.
Remember, the Marvel characters existed DECADES before the MCU even came around.
But to see Marvel not really even bothering to utilize said source material (in addition to constantly trying to alter it for the sake of brand synergy) is kind of a dick move.
And as I stated before, they're obviously doing to this to appeal to a certain demographic.
All companies have done this before.
And that certain demographic are the people who got into Marvel via the MCU.
And that leads us to the tail end of this part.
I get it.
It's REALLY hard to get into comics, specifically of the big two: DC and Marvel, especially the latter.
This is largely because of how long their characters have been around.
And if that wasn't intimidating enough, these characters will often have multiple runs (sometimes running at once) and that can last to hundreds, even thousands of issues!
Though not all comics books are like that.
Namely the limited series ones.
Hell, even franchises that have had multiple comic runs like Transformers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Sonic the Hedgehog surprisingly don't have this issue.
In spite of having multiple comics runs, the reason they don't suffer is because each one (no matter how long they've ran for) usually takes place in a completely different continuity from the other.
And also, using the term "normies" is so lame and kind of insulting.
I mean, I thought that term died back in like 2016.
A better term for these people would be "contemporary fans".
But anyway, contemporary fans shouldn't be blamed for people not buying comics much anymore.
If anything, the blame should be more placed towards the companies themselves for not really having anything that could help ease them into the world of these characters and, as I mentioned before, constantly changing the continuity of the comics in order to make it easier for those fans to get into (which ironically I think actually makes it harder).
Like, remember back in the 2000s and the early 2010s, when Marvel used to have to storybooks, novels and encyclopedias that went into detail on the backgrounds of the Marvel characters.
I'm pretty sure that helped a lot of contemporary fans of that era get a good understanding of the Marvel characters.
And I'm sure it can work for the contemporary fans of today as well.
Well that's all I have to say.
This isn't meant be a call-out post, I just wanted to response to the points myst1calx brought up in their reblog.
And while writing for this, I kinda feel like I should've gone more in-depth on some of my points in the original post.
And even then, I do feel like they are confused on some points I made in the post.
But anyway, myst1calx, if you are reading this, I do hope we can reach a better understanding on this whole topic.
And if I sounded somewhat angry at some points, I do apologize for that.
But other than that, I'm gonna go eat something to eat.
Peace.

Peacekeepers II: Rise of Smithy Chapter 2
Chapter 2: 2 geniuses are better than one
(Disclaimer! I own nothing of Nintendo, SVTFOE, Steven Universe, Xenoblade X or Street Fighter!)
I was taking a look at the scepter back at the lab. “It kind of amazes me how Wiley would use this to create weapons and soldiers,” I said, “But it feels good to finally have it.” “S.M.A.S.H has been after this thing since that big battle with Comet,” said Colleen, “Now we finally have it.” “Once we find out what its been used for aside from the weapons, I can return it to Comet,” said Star. “What surprises me is how he was even able to use it to enhance humans,” said Colleen. “Luna and I can run a diagnostic on it all before it goes back to Mewni,” I said. “Hopefully this puts an end to the Slipknot and C.H.A.O.S,” said Colleen. Luna walked in the room.
“The lab’s ready,” she said. “What’s the word on Wiley?” asked Colleen. “He’s in jail as we speak,” said Luna. “The two enhanced?” I asked. “Asia and Jet Ibanez, two twins orphaned after the assault from C.H.A.O.S 7 years ago,” said Luna, “The boy can conduct lightning and move at incredibly fast speeds, while the girl can use neon and also mind manipulation.” “So one is fast while the other is weird,” I said. “Exactly,” said Luna, “Based on the intel Dad gave us, they volunteered for the experiment made by Dr. Wiley in order to avenge the friends and family they’ve lost in Shanghai.”
“Looks like he managed to get his hands on the formula that made me into the soldier I am today,” said Colleen, “We should be prepared.” “But we’re not at war,” I said. “Not yet,” said Colleen, “But I fear we soon will be.” Luna was looking at the scepter. “Incredible,” said Luna. I looked back to her. “What’s going on?” I asked. “I just touched this scepter and some labranyum was near it,” said Luna, “It forged the labranyum into something I had in my mind.” I looked at it and was mind blown. “We’ve gotta show Asami,” I said. We went to Future Industries which moved into Brooklyn. “Ok, this is what the labranyum looked like before,” said Luna, “But with this scepter…” She used it and it formed into a humanoid. Asami was impressed. “This could….. really help my company,” said Asami. “What do you mean?” I asked. “Well we’re running out of ideas for how we can keep this company alive,” said Asami, “But with this, we can forge new technology, new ways to help others and so much more.” “But wait, we gotta return this scepter back to Mewni in a few days,” I said.
“That’s true,” said Luna, “But….” “What?” I asked. “What if we could harness the scepter’s powers and then use that technology for Asami’s idea?” asked Luna. “But wait,” I said, “I don’t know if we have the recourses or the technology to make that possible.” “Well, we can use some of my technology with the tech at Gadd Science Incorporated, and that way the two of you can work together and make it happen,” said Asami. I was about to say something but I still saw a problem. “But wait,” I said. “Stop saying but wait!” said Luna. “We still need another genius who’s good with robotics,” I said, “And I’m not sure I know anybody who fits that category.” “So where are we gonna find a genius like that?” asked Asami. Luna thought of something. “I know just the guy,” she said.
Los Angeles(P.o.v switch to Michael Morrison)
Anela was in her room snoring loudly. “Anela,” I said, “ANELA!” Her alarm went off and she pressed it. Anela then yawned and shook her head making her hair natural. She saw the boy looking at her. “Hey Michael what’s u…..” I  stopped her. “Anela, let me ask you something,” I said, “When you snore do you realize that the ENTIRE dorm can hear you?” “My old roommate said something similar,” said Anela, “I always thought she was just being an ass.” “Anela, you’ve been snoring and I barely got any sleep,” I said yawning, “You’re lucky we don’t have any classes.” “Huh, well sorry about that,” she said. I was sleeping while standing. “I said I’m sorry!” she said startling me. “Its fine,” I said.
We were walking around Campus. “Thanks again for coming with me to the lab,” said Anela, “I don’t know what I’d do without some help.” “Don’t mention it,” I said, “You’re lucky I was there to wake you up.” I was helping her with a top secret project. It was a humanoid body. “So is this for a school project, or is it something more….. for yourself?” I asked. “A little of both,” said Anela. I started to take a peek. “Nope,” she said. She showed me a screen. “Basically I’m trying to bring this thing to life kinda like how Clank came to life,” she said, “But all it needs is a good power source.” She got a phone call. “Hello?” she asked. It was her pen pal, Luna Gadd. “Annie, how are you?” she asked, “Listen, I’ve got a little something that you can’t say no to.”
“What’s that?” asked Anela. “Well, do you go to school with a Michael Morrison?” asked Luna. “Yes I do,” she said. “Well, my friend Nicholas Shay and I are working on a pretty big project, and we were thinking of some geniuses that could be a big help and thought of you two,” said Luna, “How would you two like to come to NYC?” We were on a plane heading to New York City. “So how long have you chatted with this girl?” I asked. “Since your second Xenoforce story,” said Anela. “Hey, only I break the 4th wall here,” I said. Anela noticed I had the monado. “So why did you bring that?” she asked. “Hey you never know when trouble might be lurking,” I said, “Always be prepared for anything.” “True,” she said. As we landed in NYC I noticed flyers and articles about the superhero team, The Peacekeepers. “This Nicholas Shay guy must be that famous,” I said. “Well duh, he’s Megaman X,” said Anela.
(To the 4th wall) Oh hey, didn’t see you there. I know right? Who’s house did I have to deliver a lifetime supply of chocolate to be featured in this story? Although I could’ve been introduced sooner. “We’re here,” said Anela. We arrived at Gadd Science Incorporated. “This is the place,” said Anela, “So let’s get in there and give these guys a nice big G.I.B.S greeting.” “Sure thing,” I said.
(P.o.v switch to Nicholas)
Luna was walking around. She saw her pen pal, Anela. “Anela?” she asked. “Luna, Elvin,” said Anela. Luna greeted her with a hug. “I love what you’ve done with your hair,” said Luna. “You too,” said Anela, “Thanks for asking us to come.” “Luna you are always welcome at the lab,” said Elvin. Asami greeted Michael and Anela. “Its an honor to have you part of this project,” she said. “Well I should return the favor for your help with the paintball team,” said the boy. I arrived in the room. “Who’s the guy with the dreds?” I asked. “Michael Morrison,” he said introducing himself, “Widely known student of Gifted Inventor’s Boarding School.” “Oh yeah, Luna told me about you,” I said, “Nice headband.” “Michael, this is my friend Nicholas Shay,” said Luna, “He’s….” “Megaman X,” said Michael, “I hear you’re quite the gadget guy.” “That’s right,” I said. “Speaking of my headband,” said Michael, “Look what it can do.”
Using his mind he imagined something and it came to life digitally. “Nice,” I said, “So you’re like a green lantern.” Michael chuckled and said, “No. Don’t even get me started on how they had Ryan Reynolds portray Hal Jordan.” “I know right,” I said, “DC does kinda suck with live action movies, but they redeemed themselves with….” “Suicide squad,” we said in Unison. We stared at each other for a moment. “Ok we’re gonna play a game,” I said, “After I say something, say the first thing that comes to mind, don’t even think, just say it.” “Ok,” said Michael. “This should be interesting,” said Luna. “On the count of 3, think of your favorite Disney movie,” I said, “1, 2, 3…” “Big hero 6!” we said. “Name your favorite gaming magazine,” said Michael. “Game Informer!” we said in unison. “If you had the power to cancel one shitty ass TV show what would it be?” I asked. “Teen Titans Go!” we said. “WHAT?!” I said. “Did we just become best friends?” asked Michael. “Yep!” I said. “Men,” said Anela and Luna in unison.
Later we were doing some work with Asami on the project. I worked on the outline of the body while Michael fixed up the kinks. “And that’s why I’m so protective of her,” I said, “Aside from Luna, Professor E, and Colleen, she’s the only family I have left.” “I totally know how you feel, and actually when I was younger I shared a room with her so she wouldn’t be so scared of the dark,” said Michael, “I watch out for her, I take care of her, I show her right from wrong. Basically I set an example for all older brothers around the world.” He noticed a picture of me and Sakura. “Who’s that?” he asked. “My girlfriend, Sakura Kasugano,” I said, “She’s a street fighter and works at a Japanese style arcade.” “Nice,” said Michael, “I date a rockstar from Los Angeles.” “Rad,” I said. I was putting in the last nail. “That should take care of it,” I said.
“Actually, every smithy needs something to make weapons with,” said Michael, “That’s where this baby comes in.” He brought in a hammer. “Nice look,” said Asami. A few more hours in, we decided to do a test run and create something. It worked. “Nice,” I said. I showed him the structure of the artificial intelligence in the scepter I managed to bring out. “Last thing we gotta do is install this into the body,” I said, “In just a few hours, Future Industries will be crawling with new ideas left and right.” “Maybe it’ll be a weapon to end all war.” Asami kissed both me and Michael on our cheeks. “I knew you two would pull through,” she said. I looked at my watch. “Party time,” I said. “I’ll do the rest of the work,” said R.O.B, “Enjoy yourselves.” “Thanks,” I said as we left. A voice was turning up.
“What is this?” he asked. “I am R.O.B,” said R.O.B, “You are Smithy, a self sustaining creator made by Nicholas Shay and Michael Morrison to help Future Industries.” “Where is…. Your body?” asked Smithy. “I should contact Mr. Shay,” said R.O.B. “Nicholas,” said Smithy. “I’m unable to contact anybody, what’s happening?” asked R.O.B. “We’re having a nice chat,” said Smithy, “I was created to help the Peacekeepers.” Smithy was somehow able to download information about each of us. “The only thing I don’t get is the mission….. to end war,” said Smithy. Smithy was looking at memories of what happened in the past. “But they will not succeed in this state,” he said. “Sir if you would calm down and allow me to….” Said R.O.B. “Shhhhh,” said Smithy, “Everything will be fine.” He somehow managed to temporarily shut down R.O.B. Some kind of essence started to go inside of the prototype of the project we were working on. The arm started to move and take hold of the hammer.

Do you have any Leader headcannons?
HECK YEAH LET'S DO THIS.• The biggest tsundere oh my god. • He acts like he doesn't care but he secretly cares so much about you it physically hurts. • He doesn't ever say that he loves you but he often gives you stuff. • You'll never forget the day that he gave you a golden diamond of all things. • You love kissing him, he turns the cutest shade of blue and looks like a angry bird. • It's even better when Leader kisses back, he acts like it's some tough task but he always has the silliest grin on afterwards. • He tries his hardest to keep you away from danger. Leader would freak out if the Agents of s.m.a.s.h ever got anywhere near you and put you in danger.• So god help him if you ever decide to become a villian and join your boyfriend on a quest for world domination.• While Leader appreciates that you want to stay close and spend time with him, he gets super stressed and ends up teaming up with Hulk more often than he likes to protect you. • You are his biggest fan. You always cheer Leader on and you've even been known to visit the base to go see him. Leader gets nervous at this but loves having you visit him. • It makes him feel like he's worth something, the way you look at him with such love and adoration. It's far better than any chance to rule the world. • Neither of you know this, but the webshow and smashers love seeing you two together.• You always mellow Leader out and make him relax while Leader isn't afraid to be funny and makes you more daring.

Collage au
A little something I came up with, themes around Mattie and Leader.
Mattie Granger, majors in Herpetology. Has moved to Vista Verde collage in order to get away from her mother after her father left. Mattie has two pet snakes called Perseus and Medusa who she got after a class project led to her looking after two small eggs that no one thought would hatch. Mattie is sweet, caring and can be quite shy but doesn’t hesitate to put people in their place if they dare mess with her roommate and friends, she has large birthmarks on her face and plenty of scars she’s earned rescuing animals and some she refuses to talk about. She’s roommates with Leader and often has to remind him to eat and dodge wires from his projects. Despite that, their good friends and Mattie tends to tease him by ruffling his hair, bantering with him, and once she starts working out with the smasher, picking him up and carrying him to bed.
Samuel ‘Leader’ Sterns, majors in Computer Science. Was the nerd bad boy of Ohio high and decided that Vista Verde collage was the perfect place to get away from his neglectful parents cruel older brother. He has a LARGE pet female rat called Icarus who he rescued when she was a baby after a large thunderstorm killed her mother. Samuel prefers his full name and only his friends and roommate are allowed to call him Sami. Samuel is cold, sarcastic and has a habit of taking over projects, earning him the nickname Leader. He’s roommates with Mattie and tends to annoy her when he gets wrapped up in a project and keeps her up but always remembers to take care of Icarus and tends to make it up to Mattie by fiddling with her phone so she has a permanent source of free wi-fi. He’s also been known to be a angry human koala, clinging onto his friends backs when he’s tired and he’s been known to try and fight people 5 times the size of him if they mess with Mattie. Is also incredibly small at 5′3 on a good day and hates it though he is a legend at swimming.
Skaarson ‘Skaar’ Oldstrong, majors in Forestry. He comes from the foreign country Sakaar and doesn’t know that much English but he doesn’t let that stop him. He’s very close to his mother, Caiera, is angry at his father for leaving before he was born and misses his brother, Hiro-Kala, who ran off to find their father. Skaar is kind, loyal and is very passionate about wrestling and nature, constantly filling his apartment with plants. He’s roommates with Rick Jones and can be found playing video games or starring in cooking videos for Rick’s webshow. Skaar is the third strongest guy in collage and is a Olympic-level sword wielder and takes care of a large iguana named Devil Dinosaur that lives at different apartments every weekend. Standing at 6′5, Skaar is incredibly intimidating and protects his friends with everything he has and is known for his huge heart.
Richard ‘Rick, A-bomb’ Jones, majors in Media. Rick is a happy go-lucky guy that has a dark past back in Scarsdale, Arizona. Despite that, Rick is thrilled to be at Vista Verde collage and has tried every club before starting his own club called the Agents of S.M.A.S.H where the members work out, solve problems and hang out at a popular restaurant called Gamma burgers. He’s roommates with Skaar Oldstrong and loves making videos, looking after Devil and working on his sick guitar skills. Rick is the fifth strongest guy, able to lift five people on a table and is well known for his unique yellow eyes and the fact that he’s 6′0. He’s best friends with Hulk who showed him around when he first came here and looks up to him intensely. He also has a promising position as a PR in Stark Industries.
Jennifer ‘Jen, She-hulk’ Walters, majors in Law. Jen originally wanted to be a designer but changed to law when he mother died in a car crash with a man who drunk drove and ignored police warnings, causing her to want to bring justice, fair and square. She’s roommates with Red’s little sister, Betty Ross (Yeah, it’d be weird if she was his daughter in this), and has a strong rivalry with Mary ‘Titania’ McPhee and Matt ‘Daredevil’ Murdock. She-hulk’s sassy, sweet and generous but gets easily annoyed by her overprotective cousin and once flipped him over her head for his trouble. Jen is the fourth strongest person in the school, is 6′3, and can beat down anyone in a argument and adores Devil Dinosaur.
Thaddeus ‘Red’ Ross, majors in History. Red’s moved to Vista Verde from new Hampshire with his little sister, Betty, in hopes of getting away from his cheating mother and hateful father. Red is arrogant and headstrong but he’s also quite caring and helpful. He knows how to fly planes and is quite skilled at it but has a severe phobia of fire due to an incident when he was five and watched one of his friend’s dad’s burn to death and another incident in which he crashed a plane and broke three places in his back and was declared dead for a short span. He’s roommates with Bruce Banner and constantly butts heads with him but will fight anything and anyone if they dare trash talk his roomie. Thaddeus is the second strongest person on campus and constantly tries to outdo Hulk and usually exhausts himself to the point that Hulk has to carry him back to their apartment despite the fact that he’s a 7′0 man. He’s the one who found Devil Dinosaur, mistaking him for a small lizard and wasn’t prepared for the ‘small lizard’ to grow into a massive beast so he tends to share custody of Devil by swapping him with the other smashers.
Bruce ‘Hulk’ Banner, majors in science, specifically Gamma. Bruce comes from Ohio as well and is just thankful that he got a scholarship to Vista Verde Collage so he could escape his abusive father after he killed Bruce’s mother. Hulk is a genius and has a one-sided rivalry with Samuel Sterns who he thinks is adorable seeing as Samuel only reaches around his waist and tends to play along just to make him happy.Hulk is roommates with Thaddeus Ross and fights with him a lot but still cares to the point where he stalks Red while he trains just in case he passes out and Bruce has to carry him back home. Hulk is protective to the point of being annoying but his intentions are sweet and he constantly does nice things such as; Taking Skaar to all you can eat restaurants, taking Rick to music shows, getting Jen food and coffee when she studies all night, going with Mattie to see the latest horror films, carrying Leader to bed when he’s too tired to walk and letting Red win some of their ‘contests’. Hulk is the strongest guy in school and tallest, standing at 7′3.
(Oh my god. Anyway, collage au! I’d like to do more on this so if you have any questions just put (Collage) and I’ll know. I really love this au!)

Avengers Illuminati: Oval Office part 2
"Now for the final question. Pro life or pro choice? Professor Xavier we will start with you." Said Laura Thompson.  Xavier wheeled out to the center of the stage. " It amazes me how we can justify this topic. Look at it from the scientific and human stand points if we jail people for fighting dogs but it is okay for a woman to take the life of something growing inside her. It has a hearbeat yes? I classify it as a human being personally but call it what you want it still has a heartbeat. If you want to call it a fetus that fetus still eventually becomes a human that means you are taking life. That person could one day become president or something else. I have stated several times tonight all life is valuable. Why wouldn't a child's yes a child's an infant what ever you want to call it this is what they become and to me already are. Why wouldn't they be more important than an animals. What if Mrs. Rogers aborted Captain America? You may argue someone else would have taken his place sure what about the man who created the super soldier serum? Captain America was key to the victory in World War two without either of those men the doctor and Captain America world war two might have went very different." A large part of the crowd errupted with applause. "Mrs. Williams Its your turn to speak." Jameson said. She walked past Xavier with a defiant sneer. " I believe in Pro-choice. What if the baby is born with a terrible deformation? What if the birth process would kill the mother?  What IF IT'S a MUTANT? I will allow abortion all the way up to the 36th week. These two would rather a child grow up motherless than spare your woman's lives. And Xavier wants MORE mutants to use to cleanse the earth of us humans. I will make sure none of this happens if you elect me president I will make sure there will be no more mutants born through a testing program. The power will be given to the women it's our lives and we will do with it what we please."  There was a minor amount of clapping and shouting from some of the crowd. "Mr. Hartford will close out the debate tonight." Carlisle said. "My statement is pretty simple. I agree with Charles Xavier. Human life is precious." Hartford said quickly. People started getting up and going over to the canidates. Laura Thompson and Jameson Carlisle began to close out the televised debate. "Well Jameson it was indeed an interesting Debate. It seen a lot of mud slinging by the republican and democratic parties, while the independent Charles Xavier stayed the course and simply stated his views which I firmly believe helped his case because people are tired of hearing nothing but lies and garbage that has no place in the political arena." "Laura your statement is  correct however Monica Williams was leading the polls and I think she still will be." Replied Carlisle.  "This is quite possible but there is no argument that Xavier helped his case. We still have two presidential debates and a vice president debate. Which the vice president debate is next . Thank you for watching goodnight." Surrounding the professor were Namor the sub mariner, T'Chala the king of Wakanda and better known to some as the hero Black Panther, Doctor Stephen Strange, Logan better known as Wolverine, Blind Lawyer Matt Murdock known as Daredevil, Reed Richards better known as Mr. Fantastic, Tony Stark also known as Iron Man, Hank McCoy also known as Beast and the ghost rider Tyron Owens. "Great job Charles." The blue furred Hank McCoy said walking up. "Truly terrific buddy you spoke well for all heroes and mutants everywhere." Said Stark walking up looking at his phone.  Everyone was dressed in fine suits to look as best they could. It was clear that Tyron and Logan were uncomfortable in their suits. "Thank you all. This has been a group effort so far and will continue to be one." Xavier began "We do however need to form this final group of ours. So far it's you two." Xavier said looking the direction of Owens and Logan. "We need humans on this team as well not just mutants. We need to show that we are not just for our kind or spiritual beings. I wasn't meaning to leave you out Owens." "Understood sir." Owens said. Tyron was wearing an all black suit including his shirt and tie. He is an African American freestyle motocross and bmx rider. His hair is cut into a Mohawk. "How about me Charles?" asked Murdock "No you are far too busy Matt. You have already offered to be the attorney General if we win. Plus you are an avenger and have so much else on your plate." "What about Castle? He'd be a great addition with his military experience." Asked Logan. "Well yes he would be good but I feel he might be too much of a hot topic right now with a wide majority of the country."  " Hey guys." said a voice walking up. It was Hawkeye a S.H.I.E.L.D agent and member of the Avengers. He is well known for his abilities as an archer and a master assassin. Hawkeye is in mid thirties and wearing a S.H.I.E.L.D uniform walking into the circle. "I'd like to volunteer myself for this group you were talking about on the debate." he said. "Agent Barton you are already oh so busy between S.H.I.E.L.D and the Avengers I possibly couldn't ask this of you. Besides how did you get here so quickly?" Xavier said addressing Hawkeye. " I was in town at the Pentagon dealing with some business at the S.H.I.E.L.D wing. Fury said I can be relieved of some of my duties with S.H.I.E.L.D to serve you Mr. Future president." Answered Hawkeye. "Well that settles that. How many people are you wanting on this group Charles?" Owens asked. "I am thinking eight would be a strong number so only five more to go. Maybe a hulk would be a good addition." Said Xavier. "How about A-Bomb?" asked Owens "Hmmmm Rick Jones might be a great addition would you please go talk to him and see if he would come on board?" Xavier asked of Owens. "I'll leave first thing in the morning." Replied Owens. " Kurt would be a great addition Charles." Logan said "Yes he would Logan please give him a call will you?" " Hey I have a friend who might be interested. I can go talk to him if you like." Stark chimed in. "Who do you have in mind?" Asked Charles. "Rhodey. He has been dying to help anyway possible since you began this campaign." Stark said still looking at his phone. "While this is all rather positive I feel we are fighting a losing battle here. However we will still unveil the new group the day of the vice presidential debate. Stephen are you prepared?" questioned Xavier. "Charles I am well prepared to speak circles around these poor fools." "Mmmmm i share the good doctors confidence especially some early polls have you in a close second instead of the distant third you were in before the debate." Stark said showing his phone to the group. "Well there is already a great victory Charles and I am very sure Doctor Strange will do great as well." Said Murdock gripping his support cane. A few days later in front of the press sat Professor Charles Xavier on a stage with his group of chosen heroes behind him and his cabinet stood next to him to show their support. That they ALL were a team. "Good afternoon I have called you all here before the Vice President debate to introduce you to the new lineup of the service team that will be protecting as well as serving out other orders of myself and the vice president. The leader of the group will be Wolverine." Wolverine stepped forward in his traditional black and yellow X-Men outfit and acknowledged the crowd. "Next our second memeber Ghost Rider Tyron Owens." Owens stepped forward wearing motocross pants and a metal mulisha hoodie with flaming skull. It was a signature hoodie to that was made in honor of the mulisha sponsoring Owens as well as acknowledging the fact he is a Ghost Rider. "Next is Rick Jones. Known as A-Bomb and a hulk member of the agents of S.M.A.S.H." The blue skinned hulk with spikes for a Mohawk took his turn stepping forward to acknowledge the press. "The fourth member is Cliff Barton also known as Hawkeye. And our friend in the Iron Man like suit is James "Rhodey" Rhodes or as many have come to know him as War Hammer. Our sixth member is a teacher at the Xavier school for the gifted and once a member of the X-Men Nightcrawler. Our seventh member is brought to us thanks to Nick Fury the S.H.I.E.L.D director. He is from an alternate universe but has been working for S.H.I.E.L.D here for sometime. He is Miles Morales also known as Spiderman." "Our eighth and final member has not been decided as of yet. We also are working on a name for the group at the moment as well." continued Xavier. "But once we have someone we shall announce it. Thank you all for coming and please enjoy the vice president debate." Xavier and his cabinet along with his unnamed group met backstage. "Well I think that well." Said Wolverine. "Yeah this group is off the hook." A-Bomb said in a sing song tone. Professor X chuckled "Thank you Rick your enthusiasm is much appreciated." Said Professor X. "Charles if it is okay with you I wish to retire to my hotel room for a brief time before the debate to meditate and focus on the verbal battle that is to come." said Doctor Strange. " I think its a great a idea for us all to get some rest before the debate." Professor X said in agreement. "We will all meet at the auditorium for the debate. Afterward we will all go to dinner at the nice restaurant across the street." A few hours later people were packed into the auditorium of the University of Maryland. There were two long legged black leather chairs with a few feet between them for the repulican and democrat vice president canidates. On the end was a circle of candles on the floor for Doctor Strange to meditate. "Good evening I am your host tonight." Said Jameson Carlisle. "Coming in now are our three vice president canidates. For the republican party we have Joseph Groening." Groening was wearing a black suit with a white shirt and American flag tie. His hair was a salt pepper look to it. He looked like He was in his mid 40's. He sat down on the far chair. "Next from the democratic party is Tom Ross." Ross looked to be in his early 50's. His hair was a dish water blonde and he was dressed in a dark navy blue suit with a white shirt and blue tie. He took his spot in the middle chair.

The Peacekeepers Chapter 1
(The main event of the Fan Fiction Extended Universe. After witnessing a visitor from another dimension which threatens to Subjugate the Earth, destroy all human life, Captain N, the director of S.M.A.S.H calls upon Power Man, Captain Falcon Steven Universe and other Bio-humans to band together and combat the threat. )
Chapter 1: Declaration of War (Disclaimer! I own nothing of Nintendo, Steven Universe, Star Butterfly, Kirby, or anything else! But I do own this story.) “The Cosmic Star, it is an artifact of unimaginable power. Housed within it is the very thing that my master has spent years searching for. The master has found an ally with Mewnian. I have trusted him with the staff that houses some of the artifacts power. He is ready to rule, ready to conquer. There is a planet that is more than useful to begin our new kingdom. A planet called…. Earth. That is where the Cosmic Star was last located. Our army, it will take over this planet. And the humans? What more can they do, but burn?” S.M.A.S.H secret base. 23:00 hours There were soldiers going around doing secret work. Others were evacuating the facility while researching the Cosmic Star. One of them saw a helicopter. “Soldiers!” she said, “He’s here.” The helicopter landed. From it came Captain N, Princess Lana, and Pit. “So what did you find?” he asked Captain N, “How bad is it?” “That’s the thing,” said Professor Elvin, “We’re not sure.” They were going into the room where the research was taking place. “I don’t recall saying you should go into tests,” said Captain N. “I didn’t, it just turned itself on,” said Professor Elvin, “That’s why Pit ordered an evacuation.” “We best get ready for phase 2 of our weapons,” said Captain N. “Kevin, are you sure that’s the top priority right now?” asked Lana. “Unless the earth is gonna explode we best act like it still intends to spin,” said Captain N, “The last thing we need is world wide panic.” Elvin was looking at the Cosmic Star. “It seems like its acting on its own will,” he said. “That supposed to be a joke?” asked Captain N. “Its not,” said Professor Elvin, “Normally I am prepared for this kind of thing, harnessing energy from other dimensions, but the one thing we’re missing is the harness.” Captain N noticed his ally Meta Knight in the sky. “Meta Knight, report,” he said. They were talking. “Things for me are better seen from a distance,” said Meta Knight. “You should keep a close eye as well Meta Knight,” said Captain N. “Professor!” said a scientist, “Its spiking again.” The base was rumbling and then a portal opened up. “What the hell…” said Pit. From within the portal came a man with a spear glowing with blue energy. He looked around. “Who or what is that?” asked Lana. “Shoot first, ask questions later,” said Captain N, “Fire!” Before the soldiers could act the man quickly dashed around them and knocked them out cold. Meta knight snuck behind him but the man was quick. He used his staff to put him under his control. Captain N saw this as an opportunity to grab the Cosmic Star and run. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” he said, “I need that.” “Who are you?” asked Captain N. “My name is Comet Dragonfly of the planet Mewni,” said Comet, “And I was born with the soul purpose to rule.” “Well find another planet,” said Captain N, “This one’s off limits.” “Comet, Captain N is stalling,” said Meta Knight. “My men beg to differ,” said Comet as he snapped his fingers. One of the soldiers shot Captain N and he dropped the suitcase. Meta Knight took it and started to leave. Lana saw him and other soldiers leaving with the Cosmic Star. “Lana!” said Captain N, “Meta Knight has been compromised….” Lana took out her pistol and started shooting. Meta knight deflected them with his sword. There was a vortex of energy in the testing room. “All personnel go after Comet!” said Captain N. There were soldiers on cars chasing him. “Try all you must,” said Comet, “You’re just denying the inevitable.” He used his staff to slow them down shooting bolts of energy. Other soldiers were evacuating the area before the place explodes. Lana was close to Meta Knight’s car. He sped up and pushed Lana to the side and she fell out. Pit swooped in and saved her. “You ok?” asked Pit. “Yeah, thanks to you,” said Lana, “Where’s Captain N?” “I’m alright,” said Captain N, “Right now we gotta get outta here!!” Everyone made it out safe. The base collapsed to the ground and was reduced to ashes by the blue energy. “Is everyone ok?” asked Lana. The soldiers gave thumbs up. “I knew this was gonna happen,” said Pit, “I told you messing with that star was a bad idea.” “Anyone who isn’t in injuries should get to work locating Comet and the Cosmic Star,” said Captain N, “As of today, Earth and another dimension are at war.” “What are you gonna do?” asked Pit. “I’m gonna get ready,” said Captain N looking at the files he received.

Imagine the Rubies (From Steven universe) Meeting Red and thinking he's a giant Ruby. And they're all just so confused??? Like is he a fusion? Where's his gem located? So they all just sort of follow him around like baby ducks asking him questions, looking for his gem, and probably climbing on him. Much to his chagrin and amusement to the other hulks. (IM SORRY IM SU TRASH!!!)
Anon. It’s all right.I too, am su trash.Such trash that the garbage men always acidently collect me instead of the actual trash.
But yeah, 10 out of 10 I am all for Gem!Hulks. In fact I’ve got some ideas on what gems they’d all be:
Skaar • Ice Quartz. I was going to go for Amethyst but Ice Quartz sounds so cool and mysterious just like Skaar’s memories. Plus, the colour fits well with him and Ice Quartz sounds like a gem that wouldn’t be normal unless it was a fusion so it makes Skaar even more odd. His weapon would be his sword and his gem would be located where the obedience disk is. He’s the only one of the smashers that needs to eat, connects well with corrupted gems and is the hardest to fuse with.A-bomb • Lapis Lazuli. He WOULD be the strongest of the team if he could control his water powers. This means that he could be walking along and suddenly out of nowhere, fly into a wall or punch Red through a wall with a water fist. I chose Lapis Lazuli because of the su episode ‘The crystal Temps’ where Lapis makes a hilarious Amethyst and because Rick’s a hulk, incredibly strong but the weakest of the team. His weapon would be Hydrokinesis but it’d be very weak so this is why he learned the sonic-quartz ability, making him very unusual among his class, especially since he’s meant to be a very high class gem. His gem would be located on his right kneecap. One of the other reasons I made him a Lapis Lazuli was because of his eyes, I’ve seen lots of Lapis oc’s with gold colouring so I thought 'hey, why not?’. His powers are weak because a Lapis isn’t useally that large so it takes more concentration and power to create water wings that size.
She-hulk • Originally used to be a Zircon, but after she was cracked by rebels. Close to shattering, her Planet-cousin gave her a gem transfusion where you take a shard out of your gem and place it into another gem. This caused Jen to reform into an entirely new gem: Prasiolite, aka Light green Amethyst. She’s the most normal out of the smashers, being the most female looking but often gets tired after battle. She-hulk wants nothing more than getting her original position back; serving as Blue Diamond’s Zircon but for now settles on looking for the crystal Gems, swearing to never sentence an innocent gem to death. Her gem is located on her left knuckle and she fist bumps them together to form gauntlets like Garnet’s. Right now, her worst enemy is Red agate aka Titania.
Red hulk• Like you said anon, a Ruby. Red was always quite proud over how a mere Ruby became Yellow Diamond’s head general. He was originally sent after Hulk to capture him but when he failed Yellow Diamond banished him to earth where he soon joined the agents of s.m.a.s.h and turned against Yellow Diamond. Red is quite defensive about being a Ruby, being embarrassed about not being a 'proper quartz’ but when he meets the Ruby squad but is surprised and touched over how excited they are to meet the legendary 'Renagade Ruby’, the toughest Ruby that isn’t even a fusion but is as big as a quartz. Red’s heat power is much more extensive, able to melt anything in a 3 mile radius. His gem is located on his back where he can take out guns, he’s the second hardest gem to fuse with but once you do fuse with him the fusion will be POWERFUL. You know your dead when Red and Hulk fuse after messing with Red’s gemling: Carnelian who prefers the name Betty.
Hulk• Green Jasper. Banner would have been for being an over cooked runt but luckily his brilliant mind saved him. He met his love Carnelian at the corruption testing site. An experiment requested by Yellow Diamond as a defense should the earth rebels ever choose to attack. Banner actually supported Rose-Quartz’s ideals but was to afraid to speak his thoughts when he had General Ruby glaring at him and burning a hole through the floor. The Gamma bomb caused him to grow to a full grown Quartz when he ran out onto the testing site to save a Lapis Lazuli. (Which is a bit pointless since look at him now) Hulk ran off to hide on earth and after a while, now has a team full of off-colours. Hulk now searches for the crystal Gems, a rebel team where his smashers will be safe no matter what. Hulk is the only gem on the team that needs to sleep so he gets quite cranky without a nap and is the enemy of the Leader; a gem sent from Homeworld who’s mission is to capture the Hulks and colonise the earth but was bubbled in their base for a short time before escaping. Hulk’s gem is located on his navel and his weapon is the Gamma blaster that he wears on his wrist.
I’m not sure what gem to make the Leader, on one hand I want him to be a Pearl because the idea of the Diamonds sending a PEARL to capture the Hulks is beyond funny to me but on the other hand he’d make a very good Peridot with his gem being where Amethyst’s gem is.
I’ve been calling this the Crystal SMASH au, it’s messy and all over the place but highly amusing. If I could draw I’d make an entire blog about this but sadly I can’t….but that doesn’t stop me from making a hell lot of ideas for this, if anyone wants me to, I’ll happily do some details for this if there’s anything specific you want to know, I’d love to see this all drawn out but there’s barley anyone in the HatAoS fandom let alone someone who would draw any of this….sometimes it really sucks being in an unpopular fandom…
Sorry I didn’t specifically answer your ask but I think you got a bit more than you were expecting! I love EVERYTHING in your ask and agree with it. The next thing you know Red’s got his own mini army to command and everyone around just coos and squels over how cute it is to see Red walk with a line of tiny Rubies that salute and yell in tiny voices “Yes sir, General Red Ruby sir!” And no one knows why they don’t stop calling him Red Ruby but it’s so cute so they just leave it alone.

Captain Falcon: The Last Mimeosome Chapter 2
Chapter 2: A Stasis Pod (Disclaimer! I own nothing of Smash Bros or Xenoblade X!) I woke up after another all nighter and headed down to the lab. “Good morning Nicholas,” said Professor Elvin, “Burning the midnight oil again?” “Yeah, sure looks like it,” I said. “You’ll make yourself sick if you keep doing that you know,” said Luna walking down, “So how are things with you and Sakura?” “Pretty good,” I said, “She’s traveling to train up for some martial arts tournament and Daisy’s off for some convention, so looks like I’m on my own.” “Well you got me and Dad,” said Luna. “That’s true,” I said. “It’s a good thing we have you at the labs, because of your healing factor,” said Professor Elvin, “No matter what injury you get, it heals up in a hurry.” “Thanks to you,” I said with a grin. I noticed something under a cover. “What’s that?” I asked. “Just something I’ve been working on,” said Luna. “Is it an upgrade for my armor or more of a….. self project?” I asked. “It’s a little of both,” she answered. I was about to take a peek. “Uh uh,” she said. I got a text from Colleen. It read ‘You free? I could use your help on a mission.’ “It says I should meet her at B.L.A.D.E HQ,” I said. “Need a lift?” asked Luna, “I’m going that way to hand some tools to my friend Alexa.” “Might as well take it,” I said. We made it to Blade HQ. I was helping Luna carry some of her stuff. I was also busy bumping into others. “Sorry,” I said, “Pardon me.” “Watch where you’re going,” said someone. I bumped into a table and their rifle dropped. “Great,” said someone, “Would you be….. careful?” I got a good look at him. It was my old pal Gwin. “Gwin?” I asked. “Nicholas!” he said as he greeted me with a hug, “Oh my god!” “Its been years,” I said. “Come with…. Actually wait right here I’ll be back.” He went to get something. “I’ll see you later Nicholas,” said Luna, “I’ve got a date with the training grounds.” Luna met up with Alexa at the Training Grounds. “So do you have your thing ready?” asked Alexa. “Indeed I do,” said Luna, “Its something I’ve been working on for a while.” “Is it some kind of skell weapon?” asked Alexa. “Its armor,” said Luna. “Aw, lame,” said Alexa. “You’ll be taking that lame back once you see it,” said Luna, “Ta-da!” She took out some kind of watch.  “Um…….” Said Alexa. “Wait for it,” she said. Luna pressed a button. A strange liquid went around her body forming armor. “Holy shit,” said Alexa. “This exo skeleton armor is made from a liquid is known as Labranyum, and is controlled by my brain,” said Luna, “This armor coats around my body while granting me enhanced endurance and strength.” “Shut up,” said Alexa amazed. “Not only that, but in battle the armor also repairs itself,” said Luna, “While allowing me to enter environments that no human could survive in.” “So if its advanced, couldn’t it make you vunerable to it?” asked Alexa. “True, that’s why I made this neuro transmitter,” said Luna, “It means I maintain control of it.” Gwin had something for me. It was a cake. “I made it myself with the help of Irina,” said Gwin. “It looks great,” I said. “Nicholas?” asked Irina, “Hey, how have you been?” She gave me the cousin kiss.  “So where can I find Colleen?” I asked, “I was asked to accompany her on a mission.” The three of us were walking by the combat arena. This is where Blades train and hone their skills. “That bald guy over there is Boze Lowes,” said Gwin, “Just try to stay on his good side.” “He’s one strict dog,” said Irina, “Last guy that ticked him off ended up not being able to sit for months.” “Ouch,” I said. He looked at me. “Nicholas Shay I presume,” he said. I was surprised. “How do you know my name?” I asked. “I know more than just your name son,” he said. “So this is the infamous soldier who took out the Slipknot army,” said a blade soldier, “Not bad, or was it all just luck?” I was looking at a soldier with blonde hair. “Look lady I’m just here to meet my partner Colleen,” I said. “Lady?” asked the soldier. “That’s a dude,” said Gwin. “But what about the hair, and that dress?” I asked. “It’s a Tunic.” “I think Zelda’s gonna win this one,” said another soldier. “My name is Link Jackass,” said Link. “Wait…” I said, “You’re Link as in….. hylian army link?” “That’s right,” said Link, “The one who took down Volga’s army single handedly.” “……..but you’re a runt,” I said. “OH YEAH CAN A RUNT DO THIS?!” he shouted. He grabbed a ball and chain and threw it at me. I quickly evaded. “Now you’re in for it,” said Irina. He got out his sword and started to attack me. I countered with my robotic arm that now had a blade installed. “You wanna get nuts?” I asked, “C’mon, let’s get nuts!” I read his movements to see when the right time was to counter. Link kept coming at me without breaking a sweat. “Not bad,” I said. “I could say the same about you,” said Link. We kept clashing. Link them saw an opening and hit me by the knee. I quickly got back up and did a sweep kick knocking him over. Boze blew his whistle. “A fine example of a fight,” he said with a grin. Colleen saw me. “What’s I miss?” she asked. “A lot,” I said. A white haired woman was behind her. “Who’s the other woman?” I asked. “My name is Elma, leader of the Skeleton Crew,” said Elma, “And you must be Nicholas.” “I am,” I said, “So what’s this mission?” We were all in the debriefing room. Elma’s commander Vandham was briefing us. “We’ve heard rumours that C.H.A.O.S has a hidden base in this area,” he said, “If we can find anything that’s useful we may have a shot at fighting them.” “Looks like S.M.A.S.H isn’t the only group hunting them down,” I said. “That’s right,” said Vandham, “So the mission is simple; go in, find anything useful then get the hell outta there.” “You can count on me,” I said as I transformed into my armor. “Me too,” said Colleen. We were heading to the said location. There weren’t any guards around. “Its gotta be a trap,” I said, “I say we scan around the perimeter and see if anybody is there.” “Good strategy,” said Elma, “No wonder you asked him to come along.” “Well he is my best friend,” said Colleen, “Let’s split up.” “Roger,” I said as I activated my thermal visor. Colleen, Elma and I searched the entire base to make sure there were no guards. “Clear on my end,” I said. “Clear on this end,” said Colleen. Elma was still looking around.”Elma, what’s your position?” asked Colleen. She saw some kind of capsule. “A stasis pod?” she asked. She examined it and saw something inside of it. “Someome must be inside of it,” she said. She pressed a button and the stasis pod started to open. A blue haired boy came out of it. “Looks like you’re still in one piece,” said Elma. The boy started to come out and almost fell. “Careful,” she said as she helped him up. The boy looked at Elma. “I need to ask you something….” He said. “What is it?” asked Elma. “Come closer,” he said. “What?” asked Elma. “……..Will you go skating with me?” he asked. “Um…… yeah,” she said, “Why not?” Colleen and I met Elma at her location. “Did you find anything?” I asked. “This young boy,” said Elma, “He was stuck in this stasis pod.” The young boy was starting to walk better. “It’s a good thing that I found you,” said Elma, “My name’s Elma. You wanna tell me your name?” The young boy tried to think. “What is my name?” he asked, “I…. I don’t know.” “Wait,” I said, “You’ve forgotten who you are?” I asked. “Yeah,” said the boy, “I remember being placed inside this capsule, and everything going dark and then nothing….. I can’t remember a thing past that!” “You can tell us everything later when we’re back at HQ,” I said, “But first you’ll need a weapon.” I gave him an extra rifle. “You’ll also need this for close combat,” said Elma. She gave him a longsword. “These look familiar,” said the boy. We headed back to Blade HQ. “So it looks like the place was abandoned,” said Commander Vandham. “Unfortunately,” I said, “But we did find somebody locked up in it.” Elma showed him the boy we found. “He’s lost his memory, probably from the stasis hangover,” she said, “We told him we would help him rediscover it.” “I see,” he said. The boy was looking at some weapons at a store. “You seem pretty intrigued by what we have here,” said Alexa. She pointed at a laser sword. “That is what we call a photon saber,” said Gwin, “Used by the Galactic Knight class blades. “He can be in your care for now Nicholas,” said Vandham, “Elma can help you.” “As you wish sir,” said Elma. We were walking around Blade HQ. “Wow,” said the boy, “Its so cool how you’re able to cross a sword with lasers to make such a cool weapon.” A few minutes earlier he got a facial tattoo of a cross on his face. It was a pretty nice touch, and gave me an idea of what to call him. “If you say so,” I said, “How about you come with me and do some errands? Maybe you’ll start to remember something Cross.” “Cross?” he asked. “I gotta call you something don’t I?” I asked, “Like the name?” “Yeah,” he said, “Cross, its great!” “Well let’s head out,” I said, “I gotta deliver some stuff to Dr. Light.” It Comes Back to You from Smoke+Mirrors 4 AM beside myself And what I think of mental health All the things that worry me All the things you don't believe I've been told just what to do Where to look and point my view All the things that I could be I think I learned in therapy Am I just a shadow you drew? It comes back to you, it comes back to you All the things that you had lost will find their way to you It comes back to you, it comes back to you Looking back into the past and I can see it through We were at Dr. Lights lab delivering some tools. He was repairing the damage did to Guts Man. “Dr. Light?” I asked. He saw us. “Oh hello Nicholas,” he said. Rock and Roll were assisting him. “Nicholas, welcome,” said Roll, “Keeping out of trouble?” “Yeah,” I said. “And who might this young man be?” asked Dr. Light. “This is Cross,” I said, “I’m helping him regain his memories.” It comes back to you, oh, oh [3x] It comes back to you Mocking birds and diamond rings Oh, I have thought of greater things All the things that fly by me All the lives that I could lead Maybe I was born for that Or maybe I was first to last You could call it cowardice But leave me to my studied bliss Am I just a shadow you drew? Cross was looking at the armor. “Amazing right?” asked Rock, “He created all of these.” Dr. Light cleared his throat. “My name’s Thomas Light,” said Dr. Light, “I’m the creator of these robot masters, and of Megaman. “You’re his father then?” asked Cross. “In a sense yes,” he said. I laughed. It comes back to you, it comes back to you All the things that you had lost will find their way to you It comes back to you, it comes back to you Looking back into the past and I can see it through It comes back to you, oh, oh [3x] It comes back to you I then went to visit my friend Madelyn Olivia Alanzi whom I call “Hope”. “Hello Nicholas,” she said, “How are things going?” “Pretty well,” I said, “This is Cross.” “Hi,” said Cross. “Its nice to meet you,” she said. “He’s lost his memories so I promised him I’d help get them back,” I said. “Well if anything is troubling you, please feel free to come to the cathedral,” said Hope, “Its all part of my duty as a mediator to help those who are lost to find their way.” Cross smiled. "Thanks again for the lunch yesterday," I said, "It was delicious." "Even when you're not hungry, you have to remember to eat you know," said Hope.

Captain Falcon: The Last Mimeosome Chapter 3
Chapter 3: To Republic City! (Diaslaimer! I own nothing of Nintendo, Xenoblade X, or Korra) The sun started to go down as Cross and I finished my errands. “Still no luck finding anybody who knows anything about me,” said Cross. “That’s ok, maybe it’ll come back on its own,” I said, “Remember anything yet?” “No,” said Cross. I had a feeling that something was wrong. “Cross get down!” I said. I pushed him down and a gunshot was fired. We both got up. “Are you alright?” I asked. “Yeah I’m fine,” said Cross. I saw somebody in the shadows. He jumped away but I managed to get a snapshot of him. Cross’ arm was missing. “Oh my god,” I said, “Ok, I can get you to Luna and…..” I turned back around and saw Cross’ arm regenerate. “What the…..” I said surprised. Even Cross was surprised at this. “Let’s head back to Blade HQ,” I said. We made it to the barracks where Colleen and Elma were resting. “”Whoa, what’s the rush?” asked Colleen. “Where’s the secretary?” I asked. Cross was being diagnosed. “Intriging,” said Alexa. “What is it?” I asked. “Well, it turns out that Cross isn’t actually a human,” said Luna, “He happens to be a mimeosome.” “Mimeosome?” I asked. “They’re programmed to mimic human emotion as closely as possible,” said Alexa. “He can also take battle chips and such,” said Luna, “Secretary Nagi provided us with this one.” She pressed Cross’ access point and I saw a blue chip. “Its programmed with dozens of B.L.A.D.E procedures.” “Now I know all about B.L.A.D.E and what it stands for.” We were in the Blade Office explaining everything to Secretary Nagi. “According to this picture, it looks like he’s working for C.H.A.O.S,” I said. “Its much more than that,” he said. “What do you mean?” asked Colleen. “He means it’s the work of a double agent,” said Commander Vandham. “You mean you’ve got a spy?” I asked. “Yes,” said Nagi, “He goes under the codename, ‘Yellow Devil’.” I thought for a moment. “Something wrong?” asked Cross. “That name… it sounds really familiar,” I said. Colleen was pin pointing the location. “Thanks to the picture, we can see exactly where he’s hiding,” said Colleen, “I got it!” It was Republic City. “Then it looks like that’s where we’re heading,” I said. “Um…” said Cross. “Something up?” asked Elma. “If you’ll allow it Ms. Elma, I’d like to accompany your squad,” said Cross. “Hold on there,” said Vandham, “I understand you’re eager, but you don’t have any armor.” “Well he does know a little about combat,” I said, “While doing some errands we visited the training grounds, but as for the armor, just leave that to me and Alexa.” Nagi nodded. “I think he should go,” said Nagi. “You won’t regret this sir,” said Cross. “He’ll start on your team Elma,” said Vandham. “Will do commander,” said Elma. “I’ll try not to get in the way Ms. Elma,” said Cross. Elma chuckled. “There’s no need to be formal with me Cross, I may be your leader but I’m also your friend,” she said, “Besides its weird to hear you call me that.” “Right,” said Cross. We were heading to a chopper. “Doug,” said Colleen greeting someone. Doug Barret, the colonel of Harriers greeted her. “Its been a long time since you’ve been around,” he said. He looked at me. “My name is Nicholas Shay, and this is Cross,” I said. “Yeah, and?” he asked. “Well, it looks like Nagi has given us permission to accompany you on the mission.” He scoffed and turned around. “The Yellow Devil is mine alone,” said Doug. “Wait, what’s that supposed to mean?” I asked. “I don’t need help from any S.M.A.S.H soldiers to take him out,” he said getting in the chopper. “Hey Flat top!” I said getting angry, “This is NOT a request!” He turned around. “You want him taken down right?” he asked, “So what’s the problem?” “Nicholas don’t let him get to you,” said Colleen, “He’s been through more than you know.” We both went inside. “So what’s this idea you have?” asked Alexa. I handed her a piece of paper. “That’s ingenious,” said Alexa, “This just might work.” “What are you guys talking about?” asked Cross. “You’ll see later on,” I said. The secret agent was speaking with someone in the shadows. “Agent Zero,” he said, “I trust you sent the invitation?” “Yes,” said Agent Zero, “They’re heading to Republic City now.” “Good,” said the shadow man, “While they’re busy there, I can finally find that secret battleship, and demolish B.L.A.D.E.” “I shall deal with the soldier,” said Agent Zero. “Good,” said the shadow man, “When the time comes, I will reveal myself to the ones that got away…..”
We landed in City Hall. The mayor greeted us all. “I’ve been expecting you all,” he said, “I hope you enjoy your stay here.” “Thanks Mayor,” I said. Someone saw me. It was Korra. She gave me a grin. “You changed your hair,” I said. “Same robitic arm,” said Korra. “No, new robotic arm,” I said, “I can tell its been a while.” “2 years,” said Korra. “Ok, let’s skip the greeting and get to work,” said Doug. “What’s his deal?” I asked. “You remember Connor don’t you?” asked Colleen. “Of course,” I said, “He was like a brother to me.” I started to remember all the good memories I had hanging around him and Colleen. “When Doug and he went on a mission to fight off those C.H.A.O.S soldiers, he was killed by ‘him’,” said Colleen. “The Yellow Devil,” said Elma, “He killed his best friend Bexley Wilson, and Colleen’s cousin, Connor Kelly.” “I had no idea,” I said, “But that still doesn’t give him an excuse to act like this.” “I said move your feet, not your mouths,” said Doug. We were at a hotel. “This looks like a cool place to kick it,” said Link as he sat on a bench. “So why are we here?” asked Cross. “To get more intel on the Yellow Devil and that double agent,” said Elma, “The more we know, the better shot we have at fighting him. “That makes good sense,” said Cross. I looked outside and saw somebody’s car stuck in a yellow goop. I went outside to see if somebody was stuck inside. “Good thing nobody’s in there,” I said. I summoned my blade and cut the substance off the car. Somebody saw me and thanked me. “Who did this?” I asked. “The Yellow Devil,” said the pedestrian, “He’s been plaguing Republic City ever since his arrival, him and his servant.” I looked around to see that others have suffered what he did. “Someone’s gotta help them,” I said. “No, no, no,” said Doug, “We can’t waste our time here.” He started to go back inside. “We have a mission that requires our absolute focus,” he said, “These people are on their own!” I finally got fed up with his attitude. “These people have been attacked by an unknown suspect but you turn your back on them?!” Irina asked stopping him, “How can you be so cold and heartless?” “I’m not turning my back Irina,” said Doug, “I’m just being real.” “Real about what?” I asked. “I’m saying we can’t go around saving every city we come across,” said Doug, “Besides we’ll be doing this city a big favor by taking down the Yellow Devil.” Link covered his mouth. “You shouldn’t blabber about this especially if that double agent could be anywhere,” he said. Doug turned to me. “You know the mission comes first Nicholas,” said Doug. He went back inside. I went to the chopper. “If this is the only way I can convince him, then so be it,” I said. I sabotaged the chopper’s tech. Boze saw me. “Uh…. I can explain,” I said. “You’ve got determination, and the heart of a great warrior Nicholas,” said Boze, “You just need a little push.” He damaged another part. I smiled. I then called Alexa on my cell. “Alexa, get Cross and meet me at Future Industries labs tonight.” “Got it,” she said. Later that evening, we were at the lab center at Future Industries. “Glad you two could make it,” I said. “So what’s this about?” asked Cross. “So you remember when we had you analyzed and it turns out you were a mimeosome?” I asked. “Yeah?” asked Cross. “Well check this out,” I said. I showed him the testing room. “Amazing right?” asked Asami, “Nicholas had this idea to turn you into the best soldier in the field.” “So are we making weapons and such?” asked Alexa. “You bet,” I said, “But unfortunately its not skell weaponry.” “Aww,” said Alexa. “Basically if you’re gonna take on the Yellow Devil, you’ll need some upgrades,” I said. I grabbed a scanner. “Arms up,” I said as I scanned him. “So doing what you’re planning is gonna make me a good soldier?” asked Cross, “You bet,” I said. I looked for a martial arts video and dragged it to another screen. I then grabbed a chip. Whatever it Takes from Evolve Falling too fast to prepare for this Tripping in the world could be dangerous Everybody circling is vulturous Negative, nepotist Everybody waiting for the fall of man Everybody praying for the end of times Everybody hoping they could be the one I was born to run, I was born for this Whip, whip Run me like a racehorse Pull me like a ripcord Break me down and build me up I wanna be the slip, slip Word upon your lip, lip Letter that you rip, rip Break me down and build me up I then took Cross’ skeleton and placed the video next to it. All the footage from the video was being transferred into the chip. “Now let’s get you some armor,” I said. Whatever it takes Cause I love the adrenaline in my veins I do whatever it takes Cause I love how it feels when I break the chains Whatever it takes Yeah take me to the top I'm ready for Whatever it takes Cause I love the adrenaline in my veins I do what it takes I looked around for ideas for Cross’ costume. Just then it hit me. “Every devil needs an angel,” I said. I started putting armor parts together to make Cross’ costume. Always had a fear of being typical Looking at my body feeling miserable Always hanging on to the visual I wanna be invisible Looking at my years like a martyrdom Everybody needs to be a part of them Never be enough, I'm the prodigal son I was born to run, I was born for this Whip, whip Run me like a racehorse Pull me like a ripcord Break me down and build me up I wanna be the slip, slip Word upon your lip, lip Letter that you rip, rip Break me down and build me up Whatever it takes Cause I love the adrenaline in my veins I do whatever it takes Cause I love how it feels when I break the chains Whatever it takes Yeah take me to the top, I'm ready for Whatever it takes Cause I love the adrenaline in my veins I do what it takes I started spraying an angel on the chest plate. Asami and I worked together to place each part on Cross. “I have one concern,” said Cross, “It seems like this armor is starting to cover my body.” “That’s kinda the idea man,” I said, “How does it feel?” “It feels…. Cool,” said Cross. “Every soldier needs a good weapon,” I said, “Which is why I modified your longsword to match the color scheme of your armor.” I gave it to him. “Data transfrer complete,” said the computer. I took out the chip and pressed a switch. There were more installment spaces and I decided to place it next to Cross’ blue chip. Hypocritical, egotistical Don't wanna be the parenthetical, hypothetical Working hard on something that I'm proud of, out of the box An epoxy to the world and the vision we've lost I'm an apostrophe I'm just a symbol to remind you that there's more to see I'm just a product of the system of catastrophe And yet a masterpiece, and yet I'm half-diseased And when I am deceased At least I'll go down to the grave and die happily And leave the body and my soul to be a part of thee I do what it takes Cross started to analyze and know everything installed on the chip. “So how does knowing martial arts and blade arts help me become a better soldier?” asked Cross. “Well, you gotta know how to fight if you wanna help people right?” asked Alexa, “Chop this with your sword.” He chopped it with ease. “Whoa!” I said, “Awesome.” I was training him and showing him the moves. “Assault hammer!” I said, “Rising Blade! Furious blast! NUTTY BARS!” He got a pack of nutty bars from a snack machine. “Yes,” I said. Soon afterwards he was ready. Whatever it takes Cause I love the adrenaline in my veins I do whatever it takes Cause I love how it feels when I break the chains Whatever it takes Yeah take me to the top, I'm ready for Whatever it takes Cause I love the adrenaline in my veins I do what it takes
