Like, We’ve been TEASED with Ace’s brother, that I’m starting to think it’s just a reference to that Alice in Wonderland park character in Japan and nothing else….

Jack’s family, Ruggie’s grandma, Falena, Maleficia, Ms.Rosehearts, Just now Vil’s dad is in the picture which I am really happy but now I’m wondering about his mom, and so Deuce’s mom.

I mean, some HAVE a silhouette!! It could mean they do have a design in the making/ready to show. They could’ve shown us Falena in the Tamashina (hope I said that correctly) event, but didn’t (prolly to make Leona not so σ(▼□▼メ) and it’s understandable)

Anyhow, any idea/headcannon about this? Who do you want to see first?

I'm wondering if everyone might eventually get a travel event? like they've now introduced with Vil's that it doesn't have to be specifically hometowns, so that opens things up a lot! (especially if they have to figure out how to do three separate Coral Sea visits) (how would that even work otherwise)

but yeah, I hope everyone gets a chance! there's a lot of backstory characters I would LOVE to meet. :D :D :D though I do think some of them don't really suit the more light-hearted tone of the events (pretty sure you're right about that being why Falena wasn't in Tamashina-Mina, that would've just been. too much for Leona.) so like...we're probably not ever going to meet the Rosehearts. or Maleficia (although I maintain that this would be THE funniest possible way to introduce her outside of the main story, and actually I would love this a lot, can we please Twst) (I need to see her to put Malleus in a froofy little outfit and tell him what a handsome boy he is). but they've sprung surprises like Kifaji on us, and honestly anyone who shows up and tells embarrassing stories about characters' childhoods is good in my book!

Baba Yaga and Apple's dynamic is so fun to me... ok i watched the Wicked movie again but they kinda give me Glinda and Morrible vibes. I think that sort of dynamic would be very fun for them

You do get the sense that the fallout of Roger's death and the Roger pirates disbanding not so much traumatized Buggy and Shanks indifferent ways but instead generated such drastically different reactions to the trauma.

While the trauma of everything seemed to push Shanks into the future, always constantly waiting for something, putting plans on hold and then later in place, for this great moment, this great coming that he sees on the Horizon. For Buggy it rooted him firmly in the past keeping him trapped in this grief masquerading as anger.

While Roger's death forced Shanks to grow up fast, it kind of arrested Buggy's development keeping him stuck in those same feelings, rooted int that same place.

You get the sense that Buggy's whole east blue schtick is just one long overdue rebellious phase one big fuck you to Roger and his ideals. He's rebelling against Roger's principles. One of their rules was don't steal from innocent people and Buggy was keeping a whole town in poverty. If Roger and Luffy's pirating styles are diametrically opposed to someone like Blackbeard, who might be the most literal pirate in the entire series, then buggy is the parody of that Blackbeard piratism. He is playing up cruelty, being the most piratey pirate possible, hell he's literally a clown on a stage. It's all a show! It's his own special way of trying to "get back at Roger" of trying to discard everything Roger taught him for this overacted, over exaggerated clownish cruelty. Mentally he never left that execution square. He is still 15, alone and scared.

Hell he literally never left either, while I'm pretty sure Shanks' booked it out of the east blue as fast as he could, Buggy never lef, might have never left, if not for Luffy. It's part of why Luffy bothers him so much, he's just like Roger everything that Buggy is trying hard to forget and here comes this kid, whose never even met the Captain but is wearing his hat, shoving it right back in his face.

It makes sense that he never leaves the east blue till Luffy literally forces him out of it (fucking with Luffy gets him captured and imprisoned) and it makes sense that it's Luffy that literally breaks him out of prison, literally sets him free, and on the path to greatness that maybe he was always meant to achieve (even if he trips his way into it). This boy that is tragically so much like his old captain but so beautifully unabashedly himself, is what Buggy needs to start letting go off the past, to start trying to move forward.

Maybe that's why Buggy, at what could arguably be described as his lowest moment, gets the strength to free himself from his own self imprisonment, realizing that even back then he was locking himself away and pinning his own dreams on Shanks. And, maybe for the first time ever, Buggy really own his dream. He declares to his tormentors and his crew and the entire world that; actually He wants to find the one piece, him, as captain of his own crew, this crew, not just a part of someone else's. That's his dream and he's willing to turn the world upside down to do it.

I think Ros as a character lives very in the moment. She is happy when people are around but is so quick to forget their warmth when they are gone. Her loneliness can only be kept at bay when a person is by her side and the moment they're gone the loneliness consumes her as if they were never there at all. In Ros's brain, the members of the kingdom are gone and she is alone and has always been alone because the loneliness has filled the hole they would have been in. The reason she built the castle was to try and escape the loneliness that follows her everywhere but it wasn't working. It was never going to work. Ros has never felt the castle was full enough and it has never mattered how many people were around. It's always been too empty to her because the moment she's alone, the loneliness is back. Ros says she blew up the castle so it couldn't be used against her and I'm sure that's part of the reason. However, toward the end she was more focused on how Yellow members would react than anything. Se wanted Yellow to log on and try and stop her. She wanted them to be there to reassure her. She asked if she was a bad person because part of her hopes this would cause them to log on. This was her act of desperation for her pain to be seen. Maybe if she causes enough destruction then people will come and she won't be alone. Zam did log on and you could tell that Ros started having second thoughts as she asked Zam what she thought. Unfortunately, Zam is a person who is well acquainted with self destruction and would never directly tell her not to do it. If Ros says that she is 100% sure this is what she wants, then Zam will not call her out on how Ros doesn't actually seem sure. If Ros asks for more TNT and a helmet to make the explosion bigger, then Zam will give her those without question because Zam's goal is to support Ros. When Ros actually does set off the TNT and it makes an explosion far bigger than she had anticipated, only then does Zam ask what Ros really wanted from this and start to feel guilt for handing Ros the tools. There is a world where maybe Ros got talked out of it but I don't think it would have mattered because at the end of the day, it would have only been temporary. Even if the whole kingdom logged on and convinced Ros to not do it, she'd be happy for a little bit but the moment they were gone, the loneliness would return. Ros was never going to be satisfied with the castle because she was never satisfied with herself.
