Like, We’ve been TEASED with Ace’s brother, that I’m starting to think it’s just a reference to that Alice in Wonderland park character in Japan and nothing else….

Jack’s family, Ruggie’s grandma, Falena, Maleficia, Ms.Rosehearts, Just now Vil’s dad is in the picture which I am really happy but now I’m wondering about his mom, and so Deuce’s mom.

I mean, some HAVE a silhouette!! It could mean they do have a design in the making/ready to show. They could’ve shown us Falena in the Tamashina (hope I said that correctly) event, but didn’t (prolly to make Leona not so σ(▼□▼メ) and it’s understandable)

Anyhow, any idea/headcannon about this? Who do you want to see first?

I'm wondering if everyone might eventually get a travel event? like they've now introduced with Vil's that it doesn't have to be specifically hometowns, so that opens things up a lot! (especially if they have to figure out how to do three separate Coral Sea visits) (how would that even work otherwise)

but yeah, I hope everyone gets a chance! there's a lot of backstory characters I would LOVE to meet. :D :D :D though I do think some of them don't really suit the more light-hearted tone of the events (pretty sure you're right about that being why Falena wasn't in Tamashina-Mina, that would've just been. too much for Leona.) so like...we're probably not ever going to meet the Rosehearts. or Maleficia (although I maintain that this would be THE funniest possible way to introduce her outside of the main story, and actually I would love this a lot, can we please Twst) (I need to see her to put Malleus in a froofy little outfit and tell him what a handsome boy he is). but they've sprung surprises like Kifaji on us, and honestly anyone who shows up and tells embarrassing stories about characters' childhoods is good in my book!

i’ve been playing pokemon: scarlet and legends arceus recently, as well as reflecting back on my time with the game series. i’ve watched the anime since i was a kid, played the games from grade school and onwards. i haven’t had time to return to it until now.

so here’s a post as to what kind of pokemon i think the twst cast would have. (it’s been a while since i made a full post like this)

murkrow - corviknight - drifblim

in keeping with the bird man’s bird theme, i think it’s suitable for him to have primarily flying type pokemon. both murkrow and corviknight fit his general bird theme. and i’d also believe he would have an affinity for ghost type pokemon, hence the drifblim.

ashton vargas

machamp - hitmontop - conkeldurr - throh

ashton would need pokemon that can keep up with his physical regiment. hence why his has an affinity for and specializes in fighting type pokemon. his pokemon are definitely the strongest in terms of brute strength among the nrc staff.

mozus trein

honestly? i think mozus would just have cat pokemon. anything in the form of a cat is good enough. he’s had liepard and persian for a long time, but the newest addition to his family is skitty (as a gift from his daughters). skitty’s a little bit of a troublemaker to the students.

divus has an eye out for any pokemon that looks good. he greatly values the aesthetic appearance of his pokemon and has definitely won many a beauty contest. he does seem to have a knack for dealing with fairy type pokemon though he says his specialty lies with normal type.

our mysterious merchant dweller is most certainly a man who specializes in ghost type pokemon. you can find them helping around the shop, grabbing things from the back, helping students find things. his pokemon also appear to know a lot of things, especially things crowley wouldn’t want getting out.

malleus, the great malleus draconia, of course has an affinity for dragon type pokemon. his grandmother is a famed woman all throughout twisted wonderland for her research on dragon type pokemon and her specialty with them. of course, there is an outlier with his team: the tiny flabebe. and that’s because yuu gave it to him. he cherishes flabebe because of this!

lilia has been around for a long time. the man has seen all kinds of pokemon and has enough experience under his belt that he’s trained every type at one point in his life. lots of pokemon have come and gone with him. but he never sees his pokemon’s passing as a bad thing. rather, it’s a new beginning and a new chance to meet new pokemon. this time around, he comes with a focus on fairy type pokemon and flying type, as well as his absol from years ago.

silver is loved by all pokemon. and i’m being entirely serious when i say this. pokemon generally love him! even the most hostile ones! he doesn’t have any set preferences nor does he feel bogged down by the shadows of malleus and lilia. his team tends to be all over the place but you can always rely on seeing him with his main four, napping all of them together on the grass.

sebek greatly looks up to malleus, hence why he has primarily dragon pokemon. in particular, axew, gible, dreepy, and deino are the first forms for malleus’s pokemon. however, as much as sebek loves them, he has a secret love for ghost type pokemon! lilia advises him always to remember that it’s okay to like something different from his idol and to take care of his pokemon.

riddle does not fuck around when it comes to pokemon. he’s incredibly serious about their health and their wellbeing, making sure they are always in tip top shape. for most of his life, his mother forced upon him the kinds of pokemon he should have, not what he would want. eventually, he gave up on appeasing his mother and began catching pokemon that he had connections with rather than their practicality. the only pokemon that remains from his mother is roserade, whom he raised since they were a budew.

alcremie - slurpuff - mime jr. - flareon

trey’s pokemon tend to be more practical in his day to day activities, particularly with baking. he enlists the help of mime jr. and flareon to help with baking. alcremie and slurpuff are both pokemon who resemble items associated with pastries. they love helping trey in the kitchen and getting extra treats from riddle.

cater’s taste in pokemon tends to vary depending on what’s trending. however, what’s certain is that he always goes viral with the cute photoshoots he plans with his pokemon. he does primarily have grass types and fairy types. but nevertheless, cater’s taste is never set which honestly makes him very fluid when training pokemon. pokemon also love him! and deuce and ace constantly come to him to ask for advice on how he managed to get his pokemon to listen to him.

ace has a penchant for fiery fire types like torchic and growlithe, but also aims to free himself from constraints and fly like pidgey and zubat. his affinity for fire types and flying types is a unique combination, but not entirely unheard of. however, he does struggle to get his pokemon to listen to him especially during battle. they tend to do their own thing and are impulsive like him.

oshawott - magikarp - totodile - mudkip

back in middle school, deuce was someone who preferred fighting type pokemon and ground type. however, once he got to nrc, he took it as an opportunity to start anew. he thus came to want to specialize in water type pokemon, starting with oshawott. however, like ace, he struggles to get his pokemon to listen to him. especially oshawott. sometimes the little guy will chase deuce around with his shell. it’s quite funny actually.

everyone expects vil to be a poison type pokemon specialist. but when he presents his team, it’s...well, let’s just say people’s expectations have definitely been subverted. vil specializes in psychic type pokemon and one of the few poison types he has is his drapion, which he has raised since he was a child. all of them look beautiful and are well taken care of by vil himself. they’re also spoiled too. vil love spoiling his pokemon! he’s well on his way to becoming one of the greatest actors, and beauty pageant winners, in the entirety of twisted wonderland!

rook hunt

gallade - chimecho - aromatisse - azumarill

rook’s good enough to hunt for himself. he doesn’t need a partner, which is why he doesn’t have pokemon partners that help him hunt. people tend to be surprised by this. but he has an affinity for both psychic and fairy type pokemon and specializes in both as well. the man also loves his pokemon and spoils them to no end, praising them so much that you can see the embarrassment on their faces. sometimes, they just end up dragging him away (for comedic purposes).

epel felmier

applin - grookey - timburr - riolu - mienfoo

epel is here for practical pokemon, pokemon that help him with his family’s business and pokemon that are physically strong. he looks towards ashton as a role model and takes upon training fighting type pokemon like timburr, riolu, and mienfoo (mienfoo was at vil’s insistance). however, he doesn’t forget his roots with grookey and applin. epel originally found his applin to be annoying but the little guy started growing on him, especially after the applin saved him from a big, wild pokemon.

the lion prince himself needs a lion pokemon, in being pyroar. a symbol of his family lineage, if you will. outside of that, however, he doesn’t care much for fire type pokemon or ground types. rather, he has an affinity for steel types, particularly for their durability and their variable nature. the newest member of his team is a shieldon that was dropped into his arms by ruggie. at first he was annoyed but he soon found the shieldon, like himself, really liked taking naps. sometimes he carries the tiny pokemon because “walking on the ground would ruin their feet.”

ruggie bucchi

escavalier - pinsir - whirlipede - sewaddle - trubbish

much to the shock of everyone, ruggie has an affinity and specializes in bug type pokemon. one would expect him to specialize in ground types or have pokemon that are a little more flashy. that is not his style! he prefers pokemon that blend in and are a little simpler in appearance. plus, ruggie has a fondness for bug type pokemon from his childhood. he does have a trubbish that he keeps very close to him.

jack howl

bulbasaur - sudowoodo - roggenrola - geodude - onix

it’s not a surprise to see that jack has an affinity for rock type pokemon. he loves pokemon that are strong but also help out with chores and can work out with him. the only outlier is bulbasaur, which he chose out of ruggie’s suggestion to have a pokemon that can counter water types. he does, however, struggle to get onix to listen to him and often goes to trein for any advice on this matter.

OCTAVINELLE

glaceon - vanilluxe - walrein - psyduck - floatzel - luxio

again, many people would suspect azul to have more water type pokemon than any kind. and he does have water types, but it’s not the only type. he’s very versatile and has no specialty, able to adapt and strategize accordingly against his opponent. even against pokemon that would normally defeat his, he triumphs. azul does have a trump card which not many people (aside from the leech twins and yuu) know about, which is his luxio.

foongus - elektross - toxel - ponpour - gyarados

jade is more interested in observing and researching pokemon than training them. he does have pokemon but has no set specialty. his types tend to be all over the place but like azul, he always strategizes against his opponents accordingly and thus changes his team always. however, the listed pokemon above tend to be the pokemon always accompanying him. especially foongus. jade loves foongus so much!

floyd leech

koffing - muk - poipole - croagunk - mareanie

a lot of people find floyd unpredictable and he is, but his pokemon is not. he has an affinity for and specializes in poison type pokemon. to him, they never get boring and he enjoys watching his pokemon poison his opponents’ pokemon. he also specializes in electric type pokemon but very few people know that due to his primary lineup of poison types.

SCARABIA

vaporeon - seviper - torracat - teddiursa

kalim does have a specialty in water type pokemon. but he also generally loves all pokemon. he can never decide what he truly likes and really just wants to feed his pokemon and play with them all day. he has a particular soft spot for his teddiursa because he’s always wanted a bear-like pokemon and never got one until catching it himself. you can expect him to carry teddiursa in a little baby carrier.

jamil viper

silicobra - arbok - servine - milotic

to keep with jamil’s snake theme, i figured i would pair him with a variety of snake inspired pokemon. he doesn’t have a specialty and is, weirdly enough, very balanced. his team is also strategically planned and formed, covering his own weaknesses by having pokemon that can counter them (e.g. silicobra being a ground type is weak to water types, thus why he has servine, a grass type).

idia would probably be afraid of pokemon. the endless possibilities of what could happen to him plague his mind constantly. he does, however, still have pokemon. both gastly and lampent are ghost type which fits his character. a lot of people would assume he has a specialty in fire type pokemon.

scorbunny - charmander - cyndaquil - fuecoco - eevee

ortho has always wanted to be a pokemon trainer and has finally come into his own! so it seems suitable to give him primarily starter pokemon. honestly, with his connection to fire, it also seems suitable to assign him the fire starter pokemon. the exception here is eevee, who represents the immense potential and possible routes he can branch off into!

First up

Malleus Draconia

Okay, so his first name appears to be similar enough to Maleficent. Which could be why they went with the name..... Because well.... okay, here's the meaning of the name:

Also, It's latin for hammer, or mallet!

This bone within the ear looks like a hammer a little bit, so that's why it's called the malleus.

For the last name (Draconia) the closest this word is to would be the word draconian. Which doesn't have a nice meaning. "Harsh and severe laws"

Which, now that I'm thinking about it, that's what most people (in story) tend to think he'd be like as a person. Harsh, severe, easily angered. Which of course is a contrast to how he actually is. Not that he doesn't get annoyed or angered, but it can get blown out of proportion. At any rate, the Draco part of his name is also from Latin and means dragon. So yeah, rework it a bit and you get, Draconia!

Silver

Alright, so it looks like we have just the one name here to work with. But seeing as how I don't think I need to elaborate on what the word Silver means.... I think I will instead do this name analysis a little differently. Possibly named for his hair colour. I mean yeah, looking at him it's pretty easy to make that connection. Also, people believe him to be based off of the sword that originally struck Maleficent. (He also seems to have traits based off of Aurora as well.)

Anyone who has more information on the diasomnia characters from chapter seven please don't comment them. No spoilers please.

Let's move onto Sebek Zigvolt

Sebek is actually the name of an Egyptian crocodile God. Alternate spelling would be Sobek.

His last name seems to be more of a combination of sorts. At least, we're able to split the name up at any rate. So the "zig" part of the name means a change in direction as in "zig-zag" Zig-zag...... reminds me of how zigzags are often how lightning bolts are depicted in some art. "Volt" is a unit of electomotive force. Yeah, I'd say the name suits him. He is believed to be at least partially based off of maleficents lighting powers.

Now for the one the only,

Lilia Vanrouge

Alright, so everything I'm finding about the first name links it to the word lilium. Which means lily in latin. A flower that often holds as a symbol for purity; innocence.

As for the last name, the "van" part kind of reminds me of a prefix that goes before a name. Though his name doesn't have a space in it (van rouge), sometimes a prefix before a name ends up lumped together. So you get "vanrouge" all as one name. Van could be Dutch meaning "from." And then Rouge means red in French. Honestly his name just sounds cool.

Otherwise Silver thinks he will faint

How the NRC Boys Would Take Care of You After a Long Formal Event

A little preface, or an authors note, if you will. I work as a character performer and had an event that was scheduled for one hour turn into a three hour event the other month. Three hours in the Ariel ballgown, corset, heels, hoop skirt, petticoats, wig and whatever else I was wearing was not fun.

So @iexxxel helped me write some very self indulgent head canons on the ride home to assuage my pain.

♥️ Riddle Rosehearts: A bit clumsy but will listen to instructions and learn how to take care of you. Makes you a herbal essence tea to help you sleep and draws you a bath with like rose oils.

♥️Trey Clover: Would bring you your favorite type of cookies. He would also put your feet in a little ice bucket and massage your scalp

♥️ Cater Diamond Little spa day. Posts on magicam and has to private it because the foot fetish people show up

♥️ Deuce Spade: Calls his mom. He asks her what to do mainly because he can’t imagine how much your feet must ache. Winds up washing your feet and giving you a foot massage

♥️ Ace Trapolla: Sporty boy. He’s gonna stick your little feet in a ice bucket and massage the kinks out of your neck. Will bandage blisters EXPERTLY.

He’ll have a bubble bath ready and he will washes your hair and then personally see to it that your blisters are taken care of. He’LOL also give you a massage with soothing oils that will help with soreness the next day.

👑Rook Hunt: At your beck and call. Band aid? He’s got it. Foot massage? Already on it. Headache? Here’s some pain meds and water. Bubble bath? He already drew it before you even had your shoes off. He’s a Pomefiore boy, he knows exactly what self care is after a long event.

👑Epel Felmier: Would try (AND SUCCED) to princess carry you. Foot and shoulder massage 10/10. As much as Vil can try and make him sweet and soft looking, this boy has rough hands. Epel does take what he’s learned from Vil though and applies it to helping you. He would make sure you took your makeup off, brushed your hair out, and bandaged your blisters before going to bed.

🐲Lilia Vanrouge: Honestly probably better than Vils level of care. Soothing oils are massaged into spots you didn’t even know ached. Uses fae magic to heal your blisters.

🐲 Sebek Zigvolt: He’s a knight which means he’s chivalrous. He would give you a piggy back if your feet hurt. The way he bandages your blisters though is a little tight. But they’re properly done so you can’t complain.

🐲Silver: Slowly and carefully bandages your blisters. Would cuddle and talk quietly with you and do his best to stay awake until you until you fall asleep first.

To be honest, amusement parks are not his ideal date. It leaves room for paparazzi and unwanted attention. Moreover, he’s never been to an amusement park before

Constantly being in the sun irks him, but he does eventually loosen up

Complaining all day would ruin the mood and that’s simply uncouth of him so it’s best to make the most out of the situation

Vil’s makeup is light for the day. He’s going for a more natural look today.  He doesn’t want to constantly touch it up every few hours. He sports shoes similar to the ones in his PE card. They’re light, easy for walking yet still stylish

His whole ensemble is a functional yet fashionable piece. He puts his hair up into a ponytail too~

He’ll make sure your ensemble is just as comfortable as his too. He’ll even do your makeup if you wake up early enough

He carries a mini backpack with all of his essentials too. Maybe yours too if you don’t like carrying bags with you. He’s not going to carry everything as he’s not your servant, but an extra makeup pouch wouldn’t hurt

Vil is a total mom at Disneyland. He brings his own food as he won’t tolerate putting junk into his body. He’ll also do hydration checks while you wait in line

He unironically likes Fantasyland. It reminds him of the stories he read as a child. There’s a certain wonder and awe in his eyes when he rides the carousel or the Peter Pan ride. We can’t forget the Snow White ride either. They’re very “chill rides”. They won’t cause neck strain or get anyone wet. He honestly needs them after all the stress from work

You can bet that he finds himself in the gift shop for a good hour, browsing for the perfect ears for you both

Going on a date to Disneyland with Vil, seems like a handful, and it really is, but seeing him loosen up on a day off brings you both much joy. Albeit, his pride is a little wounded because he actually enjoyed himself after telling you he wouldn’t

He’s also never been to an amusement park before, but not because he didn’t want to. No, the idea just never crossed his mind

The attraction that caught his attention the most would be Autopia. Racing? Bring it on!

While those two attractions are in Tomorrowland, his favorite place is New Orleans Square and Critter Country

He likes the Winnie the Pooh ride, but don’t mention it to him. Seeing him buy matching Winne the Pooh and Piglet Mickey ears for you in the gift shop next to the ride was enough to know

Silver:

This sleeping beauty is a little dazed, having to wake up early and all, but he’ll make do. He gathered all of his things the night before, laying out his clothes the night before on the hotel’s couch and setting his bags by the door

He’s dressed very comfortably. He’s most likely in sweats

He also prefers a cap instead of the standard Mickey Mouse ears. The headband makes the back of his own ears hurt if he wears them for so long so he’d rather not wear them altogether

Silver falls asleep on your shoulder during the bus ride to the park itself. His snores are barely audible. You can’t help but admire his long lashes

He’ll give you this perplexed look as he catches you staring. Your eyes meet his brilliant aurora orbs and he smiles at you

As for the date itself, you two find yourselves wandering around the park. Silver has no preference so he’s willing to go on any rides if it as you wish

But from how he dozes off in Small World’s, you could assume that’s his favorite ride

Honestly, Silver likes to hang around the pond near Sleep Beauty’s castle and feed the ducks. He has an affinity for the park’s animals and they adore him as well

While you two do linger around the castle and Fantasyland for most of your day, one of Silver’s favorite places is Main Street because there’s horse drawn carriages

He likes to nuzzle his head on your shoulder and watch others hustle about. There’s a certain tranquility that comes with watching others enjoy themselves. He may or may not doze off here

The day ends with you two settling down by the lake in New Orleans Square the fireworks from afar. There was already a crowd at the area but Silver made do. If you’re short, might offer to carry you on his back

He blushes when you mentioned that some of the fireworks remind you of his multicolored eyes

Sebek Zigvolt:

He did a lot of research when you suggested that you two should go on a date here. So when you reached the front gate, he rambled on about the history of the park

This continues for almost very ride which leads you to question how much he looked into Disneyland. When you compliment him, he beams with pride. Of course, he knows about the architecture of Sleeping Beauty’s castle!

That being said, Sebek is actually a good partner to take to an amusement park. He’s so prepared. He knows the best routes and got fast passes

He personally has no preferences for rides, but from how his eyes light up when he races you in Autopia and how much he laughs in Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, those are probably his favorites. Sebek likes the rides that are more hands-on and require some skill. Sure, rides where you just sit still and enjoy the scenery is nice, but he’d rather show off his talents to you

He’s a tad ashamed that he asked to go on another round of Autopia since that threw off his schedule, but he couldn’t help it. It’s so fun!

He has a certain plan for the day as he asked you what you liked a few weeks before so he also gets a little annoyed when you take detours to buy churros and ice cream. He didn’t really take snacks into account, just main meals. He sincerely apologizes for being underprepared, but is taken back when you giggle and wave it off as nothing

If he had puppy ears, then you could imagine them perking right up after you affirm that you aren’t disappointed in him, taking his hand and all

It all works out for the better because it turns out that Sebek likes the turkey legs! He would probably get into a fight for the last one. It wasn’t intentional; he just came off as vociferous to the other person which in turn led to some bickering. Needless to say, he got the last turkey leg

At first he thinks your antics are just you being cute, then he learns you’re actually harming yourself with this, and even if they’re not really a big deal, Malleus is worried sick honestly.

He’s so serious about it. Pulls you aside to talk one day, looking upset, and takes your hands into his, looking deep into your eyes, as he goes, my dear, I notice that you’ve been behaving so recklessly, and I’d like to ask you to keep yourself safe, would you do that? For me?

And, well, are you going to deny him? At least reassure him you’re fine a little bit, you’re gonna make your dragon boy upset.

Lilia Vanrouge

One part of him is just horribly amused, as long as you don’t hurt yourself too much. He enables you a little bit, when it’s with silly, mostly harmless stuff, then mock-scolds you in this whiny voice, almost like he’s cooing.

The other one, though... As soon as the shenanigans get too dangerous, Lilia will not tolerate them. He’ll be be you-proofing the entire Diasomnia dorm, then your dorm, then, hell, maybe even the classrooms you’re in.

Just flips between bastard boyfriend and concerned parent friend. As he tends to do. You really bring out his range.

Silver

Surprisingly... he ends up being sort of an enabler.

Silver loves you, sure, but he also thinks you’re absolutely ridiculous -- And that you need to learn for yourself that this is the case. You’re not stupid or anything, surely after you mess up a couple times you’d learn your lesson? And stop being a hazard to yourself? It almost sounds cold, but... he just thinks that’s what would be better for you.

But Silver finds out that you’re as stubborn as you are ridiculous, and now he just doesn’t really know how to act. He tries to get you out of trouble to the best of his ability, but he doesn’t really know how to scold you, so he ends up just sighing, going what am I gonna do with you all the time.

Sebek Zigvolt

Save him.

Sebek already... screams a lot. You know that, everyone knows that, but you’re all about to get an even more intense version of that when you’re on your antic of the day. Human, stop this tomfoolery right now, he yells, and he runs after you calling your name...

You get scolded so much. So much. The sort of exasperation Sebek feels towards you is unmeasurable, bigger than what he feels for anyone else, and he’s made it his personal mission to teach you how to be proper. But it doesn’t work, of course, so you just have this insanely concerned, loud boy running after you all day long.

He was 202 cm tall (with the horns), so he had a nice surprise to see you somewhat tower over him.

At first, he thought that your height would be intimidating, but he found out it was the opposite.

You see, even despite the height of yours, you manage to befriend a lot. You weren't intimidating.

He got a little jealous at that, but his jealousy moves to somewhere else when you put your chinon top of his head.

It was something you do when you hug him to greet him or just when cuddling in his arms.

request: Hello 💞! May I request some headcanons with first year boys from Twisted Wonderland (Ace, Deuce, Jack, Epel and Sebek) when they discover that they have a birthday on the same day as S/O, please? Thank you~

Ace Trappola

Ace tries to drop a cheesy pick up line on you when he learns the two of you share a birthday; something about how you were so in love with him you ended being born on the same day as him. Please give him a cuff on the head for that.

Ace is a bit more insufferable than usual on his birthday. He loves the extra attention he receives, and he especially loves the gifts (though he complains if he doesn’t get something he likes). He’s the sort of person to obnoxiously celebrate his birthday.

But he has room in his heart to share that day with you. Honestly, Ace is secretly a little elated, because it just makes his birthday just that much more special if he shares it with you. He whips out his 5 madols and 23 cents and brags that he’s going to treat you to whatever you want. In all honesty, he put a lot of time and thought into your present.

At the end of the day, you two share a birthday party in the gardens of Heartslabyul, with a large tiered cake of your favorite flavors, courtesy of Trey. If you work up the courage to kiss him, Ace will turn bright red. That’s certainly the best gift he’s ever received.

Deuce Spade

Deuce’s heart gives a little flutter when he learns you two share the same birthday. This is like fate or something, right? This is proof you two were destined to be together if you were born on the same day!

Suddenly, his birthday is a big deal to Deuce. In the past, he wasn’t always able to celebrate it properly, but since he’s sharing it with you, he’s determined to make it special. He tries his best to bake the perfect cake with Trey, and even asks Cater for advice on picking out a good gift.

Well, Deuce is such a nervous wreck that things don’t exactly go according to plan. The cake turns out a little burnt, and the icing is smeared. Deuce spends forever picking out a gift (it’s something you once remarked you liked when you saw it in Sam’s shop). 

Deuce always tries to be a gentleman, but he works extra hard at that role on your birthday, to the point you have to remind him it’s also his birthday, so he can relax. Your party is small, and you’re surrounded by your friends in Ramshackle. The only reason Deuce stops smiling is because you kiss him, causing him to trip over his own feet and land flat on his face.

Jack Howl

Jack isn’t really phased to hear you share the same birthday. With so many students in your school, it’s guaranteed that at least a few of them would share birth dates. Still, it makes him a little flustered that he shares one with you.

Birthdays aren’t a big deal to Jack, but since he takes your relationship seriously, he ends up letting you take the lead with preparations. Do you want to plan a party? Or do you just want to spend the time together? Whatever it is, he’s down for it. He wants you to have a good time!

Jack probably asks you if you want a present. If so, what do you want? He’s not good at guessing, and he doesn’t want to get you something he won’t like. He wants to see you happy, so rest assured he will do his best to get whatever you ask for.

You end up holding the party at Savannaclaw, which is a bit of a mess. Leona is teasing the two of you mercilessly, Deuce has gotten into a fight, and Ruggie is pulling pranks. You can’t ever catch a break from your troublesome friends, but maybe the kiss Jack sneaks you when no one is looking makes it worth it.

Epel Felmier

Epel alternates between joy and apprehension when you tell him you have the same birthday as him. Of course he’s happy that he can share such an important day with you, but he’s certain Rook and Vil will be absolutely insufferable if they find out. 

Epel is used to celebrating his birthday with his family, and the parties are always rambunctious. He has a feeling Vil wouldn’t approve of the way he celebrates, though, so half of the day consists of sneaking behind Vil’s back.

Honestly, it’s a little fun. The two of you are running through the halls, holding hands, dodging behind classroom doors, and at some point, you end up hiding in the courtyard. You share a cupcake you snagged from Sam’s, and Epel gives you his homemade present, which is crudely wrapped.

Of course, your friends have planned a large surprise party for you two back at Ramshackle (you only know because Grim talks in his sleep), but before your private time is over, you give Epel a kiss on the cheek, reducing him to a blushing mess.

Sebek Zigvolt

The minute that Sebek learns that you share a birthday, he’s going to run around and brag to everyone he sees, whenever they want to hear it or not. By the end of the day, the entire school knows you share a birthday with him.

Since Diasmonia is one giant family, Lilia, Silver and Malleus help plan a party with Sebek and you. Sebek is overthinking everything, from the color of the decorations to the shape of the cake, so Lilia kicks you two out, claiming that young lovers should spend more time together.

In the three hours you’re kicked out of the dorm lounge, you wander around the school. Sebek ends up giving you his present: it’s some sort of antique jewelry, and it’s in your favorite color. He manages to stutter out that he really cares about you and even holds your hand.

When the two of you are allowed back to Diasmonia, you find the cake is lopsided, only half the decorations are hung up, and your presents are oddly burnt. Still, Sebek looks extremely happy, and you can’t help but kiss him. The only downside is that everyone will tease Sebek about it forever.

this revelation is also very very good for his own sake. ace used to get jealous when he saw her hanging out with other men, especially if she seemded to be too friendly with them- and he’d usually just express that displeasure with teasing or just huffing and crossing his arms.

deuce is the kind of kid who somehow has like, lesbian aunts he hangs out with, and at the same time does not know what a lesbian is. don’t ask how that works because he doesn’t know either until everything clicks in his brain

deuce’s immediate reaction is to get flustered. it’s a mix of embarrassment because now he feels like he should have noticed sooner...? and also because he’s mortified he might have annoyed or offended his friend

he apologizes for crushing on her, despite her telling her it’s really not a problem? it’s flattering, really? deuce is so busy apologizing and fretting because he, bless his heart, genuinely feels like he did something wrong

you know that trope of the slightly dumb but golden-hearted jock who is besties with the lesbian? this is that. it’s quite literally that

deuce still wants to bring her over to meet his mom even if it’s just as a friend. he’s talked too much to his mom about how amazing she is, so now he has to introduce her to his mom. he- he’ll make sure his mom understands it’s not a dating thing!! don’t worry!!

in fact this isn’t even something that shocking to jack...? maybe it’s because there’s a handful of gay beastfolk in his pack so he simply doesn’t assume people are straight by default, so when his crush tells him she’s a lesbian he’s like oh fair enough

sure, it’s not like he isn’t a bit sad; he did have a crush and it’s never easy to let go of those emotions. but once again, he did kind of always consider this as a possible outcome, so it’s not like he’s completely thrown off his groove

besides, even though he might act strong and tough, it’s clear jack is a complete softie and values his friendship with her more than anything else. he lets her have some of his cacti when baby cacti grow in their pots. he doesn’t let just anyone touch his plants

if there’s one change, it might be that jack becomes more insistent on taking her out to train with him. in his own words, she’s “gotta be strong to support her future wife” or something- it’s his way of looking out for her

he wants to show that it’s ok!! even if he got turned down and even if he did crush on her it’s cool and he still wants to be friends!! he’s a man and he’s only going to get manlier so of course a romantic relationship could never work, but... he still wants to maintain their friendship!!

he most likely comes over with a carved apple and an apology so genuine that his country accent slips out heavily. everything he’s said he still means! even if it’s just as friends, he still wants to take her to his hometown to pick apples, and he still wants her to be on front row when he’s playing magift- because she’s his closest friend!

he’d actually planned to bottle it up until it went away, but it wasn’t going away, so lilia pushed him to confess saying he’d “feel better once he got it out”. and what he got from it was a gentle rejection and an explanation that she’s actually just into girls, which was... a relief??

sure, it hurts a little. a lot, actually, because sebek is already terrible at managing his emotions. but once he looks at the situation, he... feels like it’s actually quite a good deal

he gets to keep his closest friend (although he’d be dead before saying something so cheesy about them), his little crush has been popped and deflated so he can go back to guarding malleus, and it almost feels like there’s just... more trust between him and her?

in the end, sebek is just happy to have someone to be friends with, even if he’d never admit it. sure, he might say lord malleus is all he needs in life, but lilia can attest that sebek looks equally as happy- if not happier- when he’s hanging out with his friend than when he guards malleus

honestly, i can partially blame my victorian lit professor because i’ve been on a rom com binge and rom coms just happen to align perfectly with everything related to 18th century novels. anyways so i’ve been watching a lot of wedding centered rom coms. 27 dresses, my best friend’s wedding, my big fat greek wedding, crazy rich asians. so i got my inspiration and this is what i got.

NRC STAFF

dire crowley

a gothic wedding. most certainly the color palette is black and ravens are definitely present. you both get married in a gothic church with beautiful stained glass windows. it’s giving off very addams family vibes, very morticia and gomez. the food is most certainly catered and crowley’s shelling out money for a live band.

ashton vargas

i don’t know why, but an industrial wedding. there’s something so sleek about metal and black and geometric shapes. you’re surprised that’s the theme he suggests but honestly? it works. and you both look amazing. the tuxedo jacket is also off for most the night. it remains on for the ceremony only and for a few pictures.

mozus trein

he’s older. so a traditional wedding will do. there’s not much elaboration here. just getting married at a venue and then having a reception with dance and song. and yes mozus would also pay for a live band.

divus crewel

a vineyard wedding. elegant with an amazing natural landscape plus wine. it just screams class and wealth. the ceremony is outside and the reception is indoors (for obvious reasons). it’s beautiful and there’s a black, white, and red theme present with the reception. i think divus might wear a red suit actually at his wedding.

sam’s definitely going for a culturally traditional wedding. it’s partial to his own culture and it’s colorful. it’s fun and it’s full of life. yes there is catering but it’s a mix of his and your favorite foods. the wedding might even last for more than one day too.

malleus is all for a traditional wedding. but also i think he would totally do a destination wedding too. or even both. he has the money to do two weddings. the destination wedding is a private wedding and the traditional one takes place back home. it’s a lot more grandiose in scale and definitely celebrated since he’s a prince.

lilia vanrouge

a wedding that’s contemporary and elegant. lilia would also sprinkle in a bit of a gothic aspect to it too, adding a bit of an addams family vibe to the wedding. for the most part it’s traditional and it’s also got a live band. it has his own flare to it as well as adding in some current trends. he’s been around for a while so he’s been to plenty of weddings.

silver

silver’s definitely having a rustic wedding and it most certainly takes place outdoors. he’s in touch with nature and it’s kind of like a fairy tale wedding. like you guys even have animals lining up with you guys at the altar. better hope the weather is nice though.

sebek zigvolt

sebek’s an advocate for a traditional wedding. he firmly believes it should be a certain way. it’s kind of nice though for you to sit back and let him handle all the wedding details and the events. but it’s also very easy for sebek to devolve into a groomzilla sometimes. you just need to tell him to relax. and he’s most certainly paying for a live band.

honestly, despite all the parties that he hosts as the prefect of heartslabyul, i’m inclined to believe that riddle wants a private wedding. the reception only has a few people, most definitely his friends and your friends and family. his mother certainly isn’t invited because he’s tired of hearing how you’re not good enough for him and he’s been slacking in his standards. the ceremony is private, probably with trey and your best friend as witnesses. but instead of a wedding cake, you’re having a wedding fruit tart.

trey would probably be all about having a traditional wedding with a few twists to make it more modern. he leaves the color palette up to you. whatever colors you want, he goes with. but most certainly he’s in charge of food and catering. a wedding cake comes with ease and he’s shelling money out for a live band rather than a dj. that’s probably where a good chunk of the money goes to.

cater’s most definitely following whatever wedding trend is happening. he’s keeping a close eye on what the trendy theme is. he does prefer a beach wedding. i don’t know why but he definitely gives me the vibes of wanting a beach wedding. he’s also most definitely going to do the floating lanterns at the wedding regardless if it’s trending or not.

most definitely you guys are having a diy wedding. you’re going to be doing everything yourself and ace’s family will most definitely be involved especially his siblings. their baby brother is getting married!! why wouldn’t they be excited? ace’s family definitely contributes a lot to the whole wedding. and the reception is loud and rowdy just like ace.

deuce is all about a backyard wedding. so it won’t have too many people. mostly just your family and close friends. the reception and ceremony is cute and your dresses would be simple. you guys are definitely on a budget compared to your richer classmates and peers. but trey comes in with the baked goods and the cake and honestly? it’s a sweet wedding. completed with polaroid photos too. who needs professional photos?

oh vil. vil, vil, vil, vil, vil. if we know anything about vil, it’s that he’s glamourous and he’s keeping up with the latest wedding trends. he’s definitely asking for a large ballroom and hall for his reception. the whole thing feels cinematic, like you guys exited a movie. the wedding is probably on the scale of araminta and colin’s wedding from crazy rich asians. vil can also surprisingly afford it all what with his own money and his family’s money as well. he’s willing to grab any service for you. he wants you to be radiant on your wedding day, as radiant as he is. and of course you guys have a live band and you’re gifted a crown that’s identical to his.

rook hunt

honestly, rook doesn’t have an opinion on what his wedding would be like. it’s whatever you want it to be. you want it at the beach? cool. you want it at a religious space? that’s cool. in the forest? awesome. whatever you want, rook will go with. he’s also not picky about the reception either. he just wants you to be happy and for the two of you to have an amazing special day.

i said this before. but he’s having a barn wedding. yes they can be cute. but you better hope the weather is really good the day you chose to have the wedding. at least you guys are going indoors for the reception. it’s also a cute backyard wedding to some extent too since you guys are probably getting married on his family’s property. and most certainly the apple desserts are going to taste the best.

Ranking the Cast of TW

Today marks the 2nd Year Anniversary of “Twisted Wonderland” in Japan. I originally actually WASN’T going to do anything special for the occasion - simply on account of the fact today’s a rather busy day for me - but I felt, ultimately, that since the game means so much to me (and my page), I had to give it some fair due. A long time ago, I did a list of my Top 12 Twisted Wonderland Characters. That was not really an accurate list, and I’ve felt like it’s been needing an upgrade for a while. So, I decided...why not just rank them all? Specifically, all 21 of the core main students from the game, from my least favorite to my most favorite.  And that’s what I’m going to do here. After the “Keep Reading” marker, I shall begin to countdown all 22 members of the central cast. I will not be including Grim, the MC, the staff of Night Raven, or any of the more minor/supporting players in the story, just the Main 22. I should IMMEDIATELY state that one of the great things about this game is there isn’t a single character in it I outright dislike. None at all. Every single one of these characters is fun, interesting, and intriguing. But, naturally, some are going to be of greater interest to me than others. Now, I’m basing this on a lot of factors: crushability (and, in my case, kinkability, since those go hand-in-hand) is obviously one, but that’s not the deciding point: as I’ve said before, there’s a big difference between a character you have a crush on and a character you call a favorite. (The Joker from Batman is one of my favorite characters ever, and I certainly don’t have a crush on him, just as an example.) Other factors involved here are: how excited do I get about a character’s cards, how much do I want to write about them, how eager am I to learn more of what makes them tick, etc. All of these factors PUT TOGETHER are what ultimately will help determine how high or how low a character will rank on my list. Again, I love ALL of these lads, so if a favorite of yours ISN’T very high on the list? Don’t take that as a sign that I don’t like them at all; I just like other characters more. Also, to save on space, I WON’T be going into detail about why I like certain characters...and, while there are some cases where the characters are pretty darn close, to where how much I like them is really just dependent solely on my mood, I’m going to make sure there are NO ties in this ranking. Having said that...brace yourselves and ready your Magical Pens! Or was she flirting with him because the gymnasts were flexible?

Ace is flushed either from fear or another emotion.

He plans to conduct a scheme to get (Y/N) to perform rhythmic gymnastics.

He just wants to see if her performance is similar to the ones he saw on Internet.

Whether or not he thought about how the gymnast’s suit would look on her is unclear.

It took some time for Deuce to talk with an actual girl. He literally couldn’t speak with (Y/N) at first.

When he tells his mother this predicament, his mother is walking on air

“My baby is growing up so fast! Next thing I know you’ll marry that girl!”

Deuce is flustered “W-w-what are you saying mother?” Cue to his mom telling him he has a crush on you.

When Deuce comes to terms with it, he googles (Y/N)’s name and sees her name in a MagiTube video. He clicks on it and sees that she is a rhythmic gymnast!

He watches all the videos of hers.

Next time he sees her, he can’t look her in the eyes because he saw her in her glory!

He feels unprepared to confess his feelings. In a way he is correct because he can’t speak with her again.

Jack is going to Ramshackle to visit to strictly check up on (Y/N). No sir there is absolutely no other reason behind it.

My goodness he is a tsundere. He will never admit he has feelings for (Y/N); maybe he doesn’t even realize it.

When he reaches Ramshackle, his ears pick up a song coming from backyard.

He checks it out and sees (Y/N) jumping around with a ribbon on her hands.

He first thinks it’s a form of martial art so he observes how it is done.

For a moment he suspects it’s not a martial art but a sort of dance when he sees the way she twists her body. Then he dismisses it because only martial arts would require that much leg and core strength right?

When (Y/N) finishes her routine, Jack comes to her side.

With a blush on her cheeks “Were you watching me?” — “I didn’t want to interrupt your training.” — “Training?”

(Y/N) explains what she was doing then Jack becomes more curious about it and asks more questions.

He may not want to admit it but he wants to learn about (Y/N)’s interests, wanting to know her better. After all, in his culture there is only one partner in their whole lives which was something he wasn’t thinking about while chatting with her.

(Y/N) accepts the offer and brings her equipment. She wore her gymnast outfit before coming to Diasomnia.

When she arrives to training center, there is only Sebek there, apparently Silver fell asleep again.

Sebek is displeased

He sees the small bag (Y/N) is carrying and asks about it.

“You invited me to train correct? I thought I could also train for rhythmic gymnastics competition.”

Sebek has never heard a competition such that.

“You’ve never seen one??? Le shock! Worry not, my friend, I’ll show you.”

(Y/N) takes off her coat and Sebek has almost an heart attack.

“HUMAN, WHERE ARE REST OF YOUR CLOTHING?!?!”

(Y/N) got used to Sebek’s booming voice. “It’s what gymnast wear, Sebek. Also I have clubs!” She takes them out of the bag and plays a song on her phone to get in the mood.

(Y/N) starts slowly but as the seconds pass, she performs complex moves.

Sebek is astonished! He had never seen such elegant and graceful movements. He didn’t think (Y/N) would be that strong, agile and coordinated.

He also wonders if she has all the bones in her body because he doesn’t think a normal human could bend their back as much as she does.

(Y/N) starts to do jumping tricks.

“DON’T LOOK AT HER!!!”

Sebek’s unexpected yell causes (Y/N) to fall on her butt.

She rubs the place as she checks out why Sebek yelled.

She understands the reason once she spots Silver.

Before Sebek could have time to adjust the idea of wearing a tight fitting, revealing body suit, Silver showed up! Of course he will try to cover Silver’s eyes!!!

who i would realistically get along with in twisted wonderland

this is just me rambling about what my relationship would realistically be like with twst characters.

riddle rosehearts: we’d have a mutual dislike for each other at first because i cannot stand super strict rule-abiders and riddle just would not like my casual attitude. later on, we’d be on okay terms with each other but we’d still bitch about each other on a monthly basis.

ace trappola: i’d find him annoying af tbh but i’d give him props for his honestly at least. probably would still want to punch his face in if he teases me though. if he brings his energy down a notch then i can stand being around him.

deuce spade: i’d dislike him at first purely out of association with ace. if we get to talking, i’d find him nice and would consider him as a good friend. but if ace is around then i’m out.

cater diamond: i’d probably intimidated just because of how much energy he has. i’d probably not interact much with him and vice versa so we’re neutral with each other. he might secretly dislike me a bit though. maybe.

trey clover: that one guy i’d talk to in class because i have nothing better to do. i’d also ask about due dates from him. but that’s about it.

leona kingscholar: another person i’d be intimidated to talk to. we’d just never communicate and that’s it.

ruggie bucchi: somebody i would also talk to in class because we both are bored. i might overshare to him at least one a year. i would consider him a friend but not besties or somebody i’d actively hang out with just because he gets too secretive.

jack howl: somebody i wouldn’t talk to a lot because our interest just don’t align but would talk about school-work and stuff. a nice acquaintance.

azul ashengrotto: he’s honestly the type of person i’d bitch about behind his back. sorry azul.

jade leech: i’d just know him as the nice guy ™ because i’m naive until somebody points it out. then i would actively avoid him.

floyd leech: annoying mf who probably talks during movies. i’d find him annoying and occasionally bitch about him.

kalim al-asim: i’d probably have a crush on him tbh because he’s genuinely nice and carries all our conversations. i would sometimes get tired of his energy though.

jamil viper: somebody i’d not talk to much until we find out we both hate the same teacher. i would sit next to him in class just to gossip about said teacher.

vil schoenheit: i’d think he’s pretty but that’s about it from me.

rook hunt: i’d just know him as the class weirdo and would avoid him.

epel felmier: somebody i’d have trouble talking to just because we both can’t carry a conversation. we’d have small talk during class though. also we’d both overshare to each other on a wednesday morning then pretend nothing happened.

idia shroud: i doubt i’d see him much in class so no opinion for him

malleus draconia: another person i’d be intimated by just because of energy. we both wouldn’t approach each other.

lilia vanrouge: the one guy who never shuts up during history and english class. still think he’s cool though.

silver: another person i’d have a crush on because of how gorgeous he is and his cool vibe. i would day dream about running away with him and living in a castle in Switzerland. in reality, we barely talk because i’m too shy and he has zoned tf out since 4th grade.

sebek zigvolt: i would dislike him just because he is too loud. he doesn’t even know i exist.
