no because he literally was trying his best to ignore her and coexist with his hosts but all she kept doing was going after him, so he finally had enough and started fighting back. y'know, the same way blake was justified to fight adam for stalking and harassing her and trying to kill her.

the FACT that blake and ozma are so similar and yet all y'all are doing is just sending this message of "noooo ozma should love salem again, it's all she wants 🥺" ok?? adam wanted "love" too?? so should that mean blake needed to love him again??? no, right? because you shouldn't have to force yourself to stay with your abuser so they leave you alone? so why is it different for ozma?

best friend and i decided awhile that there's a recurring joke in our imaginary tv show where adam doesn't ask people enough questions about themselves and instead will just make things up about them that he convinces himself is true. like he has headcanons about people. he usually finds these things out much much later after he's just been saying these things as fact for some time. no one knows how he comes up with these, not even him. here are some of our favourites:

he thinks that finnigan (band merch boy) was raised mormon with six (6) brothers. this is not true at all — finnigan was actually raised catholic and has one (1) younger sister.

he thinks that lydia (friend and sometimes situationship whose band they toured with at one point) is from the yukon territories, while her bandmates are all from british columbia. half true — all the members of daisy chains are in fact from british columbia, including lydia.

he thinks that jodie (close friend and bandmate whom he's known since middle school) has a tree nut allergy and maintains this belief until they're well into adulthood. only figures out that this is not the case when he sees her eating a snickers one time. he tries to search her bag for an epi pen and she's just like Why Would I Have One Of Those. they're like 25 when this happens.

he thinks that alice's brothers are much younger than they actually are even though he has met them several times of the years. but in his defense, this is less of him making up headcanons and more just that he doesn't know how to read children's ages. at one point, they're like 13 but adam thinks they are 9 years old and continues to think they are 9 years old for the next five years because he doesn't encounter them too often. he gets really confused when suddenly there's these two 18 year olds and he's just like Who Are These Guys. while is alice like those are the brothers whom you've met them before. he has difficulties understanding the concept of aging.

he thinks that colman (ex-bf and close friend and later philly's godfather) doesn't have a middle name, so adam has been randomly assigning col fake middle names as a joke for many years. col does in fact have a middle name (it's michael) and is not aware that adam genuinely doesn't know that he has middle name and it's not a bit. until like, the season one finale of the imaginary tv show where col says his full name out loud and adam is like Wait When Did That Happen. (see below for some of the fake middle names adam has assigned him over the years.)

I've been meaning to speak on this for a while, but, rooster teeth seriously needs to stop implementing "ascension" storylines into their shows.

they clearly didn't know how to handle it when it was written into gen:lock, and it certainly flopped the second time around. their idea of ascension is this insanely watered down vaguely hinted form of reincarnation.

i can't speak on cultures that follow buddhism or similar religions / beliefs that rooster teeth attempted to base ascension off of, and i won't, so please don't take this post as any sort of education. that said, these writing teams need to stop pulling from the real world when they refuse to handle it with the weight it carries.

the fact that they did this TWICE, in regards to this ascension plot. the first time was met with huge backlash because they wrote characters into literally ending their lives to reach enlightenment (ignore the fact that they openly stated they liked controversy). and yet they went ahead and did it again, in almost the exact same way as they did in gen:lock — characters unaliving themselves, one of which being one of our main characters, only for them to come back as themselves but "better".

the lack of care and sensitivity when portraying mental health and trauma, and unalive attempts is so outrageous. they can slap hotlines and copy pasted messages about how you're never alone all they want, but their writing choices are hugely irresponsible and in most times, offensive.
