NEW UPDATE IS OUT!

UPDATE 9/2/2023 IS OUT!

Well everyone, you asked for it and now it’s here! I present the next update with the Coroner’s office, where you deduce, from the latest victim, quite a bit about the case. There have also been some add-on’s which I will outline down below. I apologize the update took so long, but it was a mix of irl stuff and the fact that adding some of this stuff is a lot of editing, adding variations of dialogue, etc. I had to figure out the best way to make what you all wanted happen, and I’m happy to say I think I finally did that.

That being said, please inform me of any inconsistencies or errors as per usual. I appreciate all the feedback, and for seemingly the first time since the start of the book, starting next chapter, the MCT is going to converge to continue the investigation as a single unit rather than separate teams! Thank you all again so much for your patience, and I hope you enjoy.

Added the Coroner’s Office scene

Changed the Train Ride scene in Chapter 2 so you now talk to two of the MCT agents instead of just one.

Made the option for what you were studying before joining the Bureau more obvious in Chapter 1. (Future plans for this are to have more optional dialogue choices and flavor text based on it, as is the case with the Coroner scene.)

Okay, bizzare thing happened. Chorda joined my RT. Of all people. Chorda.

Kristina is not a dogmatic. 2 ranks. She is an iconoclast, 4 ranks. She opposed her during Act 2. She was mean to Chorda on Dragonus. She only let her live, because she could not bring herself to end Chorda. Kristina is a diplomat. Not a judge.

But how? Why Chorda? I expected Winterscale but her... wow. I am shocked. But it could be a fanfic material.

With Taylor having her debut as Parr Friday evening in Cincinnati (a thousand bravos to her, she looks great, I bet she sounded great, and I envy anyone who got to see her!), we have a slight insight into what appears to be the second alternate put-in rehearsal that happened 26 April:

Based on this photo, it seems earlier the same day (Friday, 26 April) the alternates had their second put-in with the following performers:

Kristina: Aragon

Taylor: Boleyn

Amaya: Seymour

Danielle: Cleves

Aryn: Howard

Carlina: Parr

This indicates that Taylor's first put-in was for Parr, and Amaya and Carlina were either on for Aragon or Cleves (smart that production had Amaya and Carlina start with either of these as it's the two roles Wesley doesn't cover and can't entirely help with). This leaves the outstanding put-ins to be Taylor for Howard, and Carlina and Amaya for either Aragon or Cleves (which ever one they haven't done yet).

I'll be seeing this tour tomorrow evening, so I'm incredibly jealous to be one-night off from seeing a debut performance (I got to see Jimmie "J.J" Jeter's debut as Hamilton in Chicago and it was SUCH a special treat!)! But regardless, I'm so incredibly excited to see this production and all these new perspectives on the queens (and to see Cassie as Boleyn for the first time in a well-deserved principal status after seeing her twice as alternate Boleyn)! They're just going to SMASH it!

He keeps having moments like that, ever since the Parents' Day lunch had been interrupted by gasps and tears and the news that the Queen - that Mamma - had died in a car crash. The entire country is watching but he's not sure their scrutiny will keep him from vanishing entirely; and it should be easier, somehow, to share this grief with Erik and their father, when they've always orbited around Kristina and can tumble together into the void she has left, but they are each having such intensely distinct loss right now, their father without his wife, Erik not only having lost his mother but suddenly becoming King when he's only been old enough to buy alcohol at Systembolaget for a few months.

And Wille had been fighting with her, had resented her, resents her still, resents himself, misses her, doesn't know how he will get through this funeral, hates that he looks at his reflection and hears her critiques of the spots he should cover up before he goes on TV.

And on the sink, his phone vibrates with another text from Simon, his -- the boy he's kissed, the boy with whom he'd wanted to do much more than kiss, and Wille wishes Simon were here now so he could bury his face into his chest for a week, and he wishes they had never met, and he can't fucking think about this right now. He ducks away from his reflection and goes to get dressed.
