#kingdom hearts 3 #kh3 #san fransokyo #scenery #my gif #made sure to put equal parts night and day versions of the city #because i think they both look stunning #i love the verticality of this world. it's fun to climb up to the highest point and fly over all the buildings #if i played this game as a kid i feel like i would 100% pretend sora lived in this city and would find a house for him haha #something that always piqued my curiosity was sora's initial response to first setting foot in this world #he's immediately amazed by what he sees and remarks in awe of the city that he hasn't even fully entered yet (he's still on the bridge)#then he quickly pulls out is phone and wants to tell riku all about it even though he just got there #(i'm sad they didn't make a kingstagram post about it that we could see!)#being islanders from a small town i can imagine it'd be an exciting idea to visit a big bustling city and i wondered if that's-#something they've ever talked about together whenever the topic of exploring new worlds came up as children #it could be some sneaky foreshadowing since the secret ending has sora and riku in quadratum which is also a big city with tall buildings #and i'm sure it's no coincidence that a version of riku shows up in san fransokyo

I kind of think Philip doesn't remember Caleb consistently for same reason Luz misremembers things and we see her POV shift as an unreliable narrator. I think if Caleb was a trans woman he'd erase that in his memory of her because it doesn't really fit his narrative.

the idea of dogs needing a Firm Hand to learn (aka mild to medium animal mistreatment) is so funny to me, because Hugo had his feelings MORTALLY WOUNDED while being taught to Play Dead because I gently pushed him into a laying-on-his-side position... heartbroken from being gently pushed

#we taught him to lay on his side and belly-up with normal luring instead but I was helping him in the position and he got upset LMAO #I felt like the devil bro he walked to the opposite side of the house and stood there until I apologized #we had to do some repetitions of tricks he already knew so he could cheer back up (doing tricks makes him very very very happy)#he is very glad to listen but is also insanely sensitive #he also doesn't respond to someone raising their voice. in fact. he gets secondhand sad #if. for example. a cat jumps on the counter and makes their way over to a delicious cake that is up there #and I yell TOBY GET DOWN #Hugo gets sad and he's not even being yelled at. he just doesn't want me to yell at Toby #sergle.txt

My personal biggest pet peeve regarding analyses of Belos (obviously aside from “he’s just evil and analyzing him at all means you support his actions” and “he deserves redemption actually”) is that so many people take his hatred of witches completely at face value--as simply being the result of his indoctrination into witch-hunting as a child in Gravesfield, that these are just the beliefs he was raised with and that he never grew to see past his prejudice like Caleb did. But that is such an oversimplification of his character, and it also ignores what is in my opinion the main driving force behind all of his actions: Caleb himself.

Belos doesn’t think all witches are evil because he was raised to be a witch-hunter. He HAS to keep himself convinced that they are, because if the witches are not evil, then he has two realities to face:

Caleb left him of his own free will, not because he was under a spell or led astray by the devil.

Belos murdered his own brother, the only person he ever loved, for nothing.

And these CANNOT be true.

Belos’s need to be the hero who saves humanity from witches is not the reason he killed his brother, it’s the result of it.
