Was very frustrated I couldn't come up with anything for Cody Day (2/2/24) and then remembered that I have other ways to create chaos.

Anyway, TCW/Mandalorian time travel shenanigans! After o66, Cody ended up with the Tribe, never removing his helmet and devoting himself to taking care of the foundlings as a way to ease his guilt. He took a shine to Din, raised him as his own, and taught him everything he knew. ('What do you mean you're not supposed to physically assault droids with your bare hands?')

He was probably lost in one of the assaults on the Tribe that resulted in them having to relocate so often, but that's one of the reasons Din was so adamant about never removing his helmet: he wanted to honor his buir's memory.

Eventually Mandalor Din (lalala what season 3 lalalalala), Grogu, and Protector Paz end up interacting with some kind of Force bullshit and get chucked into the past. They then meet Cody, whose scar is in the exact same place as the marking that Din's buir always painted on his helmet.

Remember in season 4 outside of bathena's house when Taylor says something like "I'm so glad we're friends" or whatever and Buck gets that kicked puppy look on his face and repeats the "friends, yeah", well, something like that, but happening in the lofts kitchen is #buddie endgame confirmed and then we can just sit back and watch it unfold, and I know it's not gonna happen, but I will live in this particular delusion until the show proves me wrong, because during treasure hunt when Buck is all dreamy for Taylor, they are between the counter and the table and the gym stills keep making me think of breaking point which is a weirdly pivotal episode for bucktaylor and well, I love parallels with canon couples and those few episodes are the closest we got to watching Buck pine, so it is expected that he would have a similar reaction to feeling something like that again, but it would be more intense with Eddie because his relationship with Eddie is already really intense. We can also get the contrast because Buck does something stupid with Taylor and she freaks out on him, and having Buck do something stupid that ends with Eddie once again reassuring him about how much he means to him would be yet another example as to why Eddie is the superior love interest for Buck.

ohhh damn what if Stede comes back in the middle of a battle to an Ed who is bloody and bruised and living off nothing but alcohol and some izzy-fueled idea of his Blackbeard persona and Ed is so shocked he accidentally gets stabbed or shot or whatever and Stede shows off his new Pirate Prowess by dispatching the stabber or shooter and taking Ed away to patch him up, and while he’s stitching Ed up and wiping away the charcoal on his face he notices just how many new scars Ed has and asks when the last time Ed let someone look after him and Ed just shrugs and asks “how long ago did you leave?” and what if i punched myself in the face

literallt in an earlier season the french dub changed clumsy saying "i love you" to "je t'aime bien" which has more platonic connotations

then essence of brainy the translators are like. Fuck it. Brainy loves Clumsy. Infinitely. We're not putting a "bien" in here, figure out the connotations yourself.

had to come back for something I spotted in a scrap pile... 70s ish, sorta midcentury modern chair & stepstool 2 in 1. (the seat lifts up). thought I'd have to climb the fence but fortunately there was a person sized hole a bit further on. in the boot it goes. needs a little cleaning but the vinyl seat is all intact which is rare. needed both a chair and a stepstool, very pleased

Markab woke shaking the water off, a bit a a headache from when she knocked him out. He hadn't expected that from some little greenblood, but guess weirder things happened. He tested the bonds she'd used and he could get out, with time. Which even he was smart enough to figure she wouldn't give him.

His shoulders relaxed and he toyed with a loose tooth for a moment before cracking a grin.
