The problem with a lot of traffic life interpretations in my opinion is they don't understand character foils or don't employ them in their writing. Grian-Martyn and Scar-Ren are genuinely pretty good character foils for a series that is not really scripted or planned out like a book is. I could go on and on about how they parallel each other and the similarities between them. Even the smaller details between the four usually match up
leaving the rant in the tags so I don't have a huge block of text again ueueue
It’s so funny bc I thought this scene in invincible was a moon knight parody bc the guy looks just like Oscar Isaac but it turns out the invincible episode was released an entire year before moon knight and it’s just a total coincidence
For 💖🎀, what about Marx? Little cute creature concealing incredible magic and uncanny features! I think he could be so mean to her ❤️
oh... anon you are very big brained for this one. he could unfortunately be so so mean to her.... and he has such pretty pretty wings! she would be enraptured instantly.
the black haired, green eyed main character, chosen one and saviour of the magical world that exists along with but unknown to the humans that is very brave and has a hero complex but is also really stupid and an adorable funny idiot, who gets thrown into said magical world with minimal help at age 11-12 and meet other magical kids at a educational and training facility where a wise and old man guides them
and of course, their blonde, gray eyed significant other, a smart and witty magical person who they didn’t get along with at first, who is much more knowledgeable in the magical world and its workings, who has a parent that does not like the main character.
Warrior Nun truly is the most fucked up fucking show in the whole fucking world isn't it
Thecla (Ancient Greek: Θέκλα, Thékla; Greek: Θέκλα; Turkish: Tekla) was a saint of the early Christian Church, and a reported follower of Paul the Apostle. The earliest record of her life comes from the ancient apocryphal Acts of Paul and Thecla.
In one scene, female beasts, particularly lionesses, protected her against her male aggressors.
It is also said that Thecla spent the rest of her life in Maaloula, a village in Syria. There, she became a healer and performed many miracles...
...but remained constantly persecuted.
In one instance, as her persecutors were about to get to her, she called out to God, a new passage was opened in the cave she was in, and the stones closed behind her.
Around AD 280, Thecla features as one of the characters in Methodius of Olympus' Symposium, in which she displays considerable knowledge of profane philosophy, various branches of literature, and eloquent yet modest discourse. Methodius states that she received her instruction in divine and evangelical knowledge from Paul, and was eminent for her skill in sacred science ("Logos 8").
According to some scholars, Thecla's story inspired many later stories of women saints who dressed as men
All of these women were empowered by Thecla, a woman who did things that not many women would ever dare to do
In Spanish-speaking countries, she is also facetiously counted as the patron saint of computers and Internet, from the homophony with the Spanish and Catalan word tecla ("key").[citation needed]
i actually love that they gave logan roy the “michael corleone” godfather death. he gave everything he had to his company and his legacy under the guise of “doing it all for his family” while in reality he was the one who brutally tore apart his own kids and isolated himself to the point where the damages he did to them was beyond irreparable. and in the end he succeeded in building his empire and saving his business to continue to thrive after he’s gone but he still died like an old dog in the dirt. all alone and ready to be picked clean by the vultures he created
