So uh this blog is a mess. Basically just making this post to say that I’m going to make a new blog, and I will post the new blog name here are as soon as I get it set up.

After I set it up, I probably will not be active on this blog anymore. I say “probably” because I’m not planning on deleting this blog (at least not right now), and i will still check back once in a while, but I’m not going to be making new posts from this blog. Except for the next (and final) post on this blog which is just so I can post the new blog url

YOU NEED TO REBLOG ART!!!

and that does include fanfictions as well as drawings, and not just the absolutely awesome ones that could be displayed in a museum, reblog as much as you can, reblog the fanart with somewhat off anatomy but still caught your eye, reblog the one shot that is perhaps slightly ooc, reblog the sketches and works that are currently being released.

I don't know if most of you are new here but I am sure you have heard this many times already so plese reblog art. Just after quick glance at most popular artworks that often have over 1500 or even 2000 notes most of them don't have much over 500 reblogs and that is an absolutely horrible ratio. You might think that liking it works because yes you do show you like the artwork but that is it that is where it ends and I can tell you as an artist myself that has been posting way less lately for the same reason that it is very disheartening to see few people like it and not reblog it so the reach stays very small and I do not want other small artist to feel this heartbroken as well and loose their passion for creation. So if you don't want to see this fandom dying out again and other fandoms doing so as well reblog art and I know it is annoying to see people guilt tripping you into sharing and what not on instagram and other websites as well but rebloging is how tumblr simply works and has always worked and you need to respect that.

i don’t know about you guys but the main reason i am still on tumblr in 2024 is BECAUSE it is the most cloutless least influential social media app out there and that is the experience i am after. absolutely none of this will ever translate into significant attention or real success in my life and that is so beautiful.

okay it’s come to my attention that absolutely NONE OF YOU know ANYTHING about how cutie marks work. let me say this simply. a cutie mark isn’t a job being assigned, it’s a special TALENT OR SKILL that the pony enjoys. Most of the time it has a directly transferable job for that skill, like if you enjoy baking and are super good at it WOW! baker. If you are really good at writing and telling stories, author. However, there are some cutie marks that could go multiple ways.

twilight sparkle has exceptional magic ability, so she became a scholar, but she could really do anything that required a good magic skill. same with rainbow dash, her weather controlling job isn’t directly linked to her cutie mark, but it does fit the bill for the job.

i was posed the question of what would a murderer pony’s cutie mark be and wouldn’t everyone know. NO. if somehow murder were to be a special skill, the cutie mark might be something like a knife or a shovel. other ponies might just assume you’re good at cooking or gardening. now with cutie marks like apple jacks, their family has a ‘green thumb’ kind of deal so obviously the cutie mark would be hereditary.

so, the reason i made this post. walter white pony’s cutie mark would NOT be blue crystals. it would be a CHEMISTRY FLASK.
