kevin day and neil josten really said "we're each other's biggest fans and worst critics. we're jealous of what the other has, but are also incredibly protective of what the other has gone through. and we're obsessed with each other but can't stand each other. we push each other to be better while keeping our egos in check. no one can understand us better than each other but also hate that we understand each other. and i can only imagine my future with you by my side" and i'm supposed to be normal about them? fat chance

I think… it isn’t recognized enough that yellow ISNT another fragment. He’s the full king himself that Kayne wiped the memories of and shoved into Arthur’s mind.
Any sort of character development that yellow had- every bit of pain and desire for Arthur to accept him and want him around- or attempt to try to work with him. that was hastur.
I feel like this gets missed far too often
The yellow that Arthur apologized to at the end WAS the king- The same entity that harassed him and haunted him through the first two seasons.
God I want to do a character analysis about what this but my brain is too fuzzy right now and I cannot put these implications into words. But you understand that this is no small thing, right?

after seeing everything obito managed to accomplish over the years, i can't help but wonder if he was ever really a 'hopeless case' as a student, or if he was just stuck with some pretty incompetent teachers.
even when you look at his childhood flashbacks, he was clumsy yes, but how could anyone see that kid and think he was talentless? 😭

Ladybug and Chat Noir have always been notably flirty with each other, even when trying to act as merely really close superhero partners.
So it stands to reason that, even though Adrien and Marinette are currently dating, Ladybug and Chat Noir might still act close in a bit of a flirty way.
Imagine if one day they get a little too silly--they didn't really plan anything, but whoops! I think I just accidentally cheated with my superhero partner!
Obviously Marinette can't tell Adrien about it without compromising her identity--and vice versa. So they both try to just move on, but find themselves drifting somewhat, and getting closer to each other in superhero form. Eventually, they both mutually decide to confess they have feelings for someone else, and break up, hoping to continue being friends and feeling a bit betrayed by each other, but also knowing they did the exact thing so neither is in any place to judge.
Regardless, this frees up Ladybug and Chat Noir to pursue their own relationship. Adrien is so happy that Marinette found some other guy who's kind and makes her laugh, and Marinette is elated that Adrien's got another girlfriend who's creative and resourceful, even if they never seem free at the same time to meet each others' mysterious respective partners that they keep talking about.
Things go well for Ladybug and Chat Noir for a while--they work even better together as a couple. But eventually it comes out that they had cheated on their previous partners with each other, and finding that out makes them both feel like they should go back to purely a superhero partnership. But this doesn't work, as they find themselves awkward around each other.
So, to aid their ability to work together by improving trust, they decide they need to be able to tell each other everything--including their secret identities.
Naturally, when Ladybug and Chat Noir finally learn that each other are Marinette and Adrien, they just give up and decide to accept that they're going to get married someday.
Alix and Luka have been watching all of this unfold with popcorn.

I can only speak as a person raised Catholic (heh...), but let me present a wild scenario.
Could you imagine the actual Holy Spirit having a clear and direct sentient influence in your child's life?
With this connection to the Holy Spirit, he starts performing absolutely insane miracles that a Child shouldn't be capable of and by the age of 8 God's chosen priest shows up like "Hey kid, have you heard of our lord and savior Jesus Christ? In my day, he was super sexy. You’re special. I'm going to train you and later you should probably go to a religious school."
And then, by age 17ish, Jesus himself shows up like, "Yes, twas me the whole time. Let me train you one on one my child." And then a year later, your son tells you he's sleeping with Jesus?
Like...does this help anyone understand what happened to Gale better? Or does it help that the Mystra analog is depicted as a man? Do you need me to hold your hand and tell you that even if Gale showed interest, it was on Mystra, as the omniscient god with all the power in the relationship and Future sight?!, to not fucking sleep with the mortal who maybe became an adult 5 minutes ago?

people will be like ‘yeah it’s really relevant that utena is an orphan haha’ and then not even recognise how utena being a character without living blood relatives is hugely significant in a show where almost all of the most atrocious relationships are ones that have been spurred on by the notion of familial/blood obligation. and utena herself clings so tightly to what is essentially a romantic ideal of ‘the family’, ‘the blood relative’, telling anthy she’s jealous of her relationship with akio, insisting to nanami that she should persevere with her relationship with touga because you’re still siblings. in ohtori, family is something you can only be born into. in ohtori, family is the way you gain power. i mean for the love of god it’s right there, revolutionary girl utena is a family abolitionist masterpiece and it makes me claw at the walls!!!!!!!!! read the palace perspective!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! engage more with these aspects of the show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! kill any and all people who go ‘why are there so many weird sibling dynamics i only came for the lesbians’ her NAME is kiryuu nanami and she does both!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saw a tweet about how Tucker brought back someone’s faith in cishet white men in BB (the user was also white which- 🤨) and it made me think of @paras-atashnak’s post about how BB fans try to rationalize their like of a male HG. The amount of tweets I’ve seen since last night where people seem to think the season is gonna take a nosedive in entertainment now that Crash Bandicoot is gone is ridiculous. Every time I popped into feeds or the tag or Twitter all I saw of that man was him crying about his dog and saying he’d quit if he got to jury… What exactly are feeds gonna be missing here?? Really need certain parts of this show’s fanbase to be serious and just admit they were waiting for a white man who was somewhat unproblematic (he’s a white man from Boston so I’m not giving him too much grace) to root for because that’s what they really wanted out of this show. It’s really not that deep so whatever but I’m hashtag noticing things

this is such a solid show so far, i dont even know what to say. episodes feel long, but they're not boring. they're lingering, they last. it takes everyday emotions and everyday experiences and lets them play out; it confers importance to the small things. the story and overall plot-per-ep is simple yet genuine, and everything and every character feels so lived-in. i like the mix of fun and serious, i like the steady growth and trust between mork and day and the little buds of tension starting to bloom. i love the way the camera brings things to the forefront of the viewer's attention, the way expressions are shot and how long those shots are allowed to last on screen...you really feel the emotion coming through, and it really impresses me from both an acting and directing standpoint.....im just rambling but the jist of it is that i'm really enjoying this
