so the silent hill 2 discourse is a little infuriating to me as someone who has seen the long term affects of taking care of someone with a terminal illness. It isn’t always pretty. I’ll be honest I had no sympathy for James when I played the original game at 14 years old. Hell, I was initially befuddled they made James good looking. Cut to now, after having seen the slow, painful effects of a shitty disease first hand, I see James in a whole new light. Doesn’t mean I condone him, but some people really think understand = condone, and I find that god awfully frustrating.

What is the saying/scebe from BSR you mentioned in your previous reblog about Jane Seymour' attitude during Anne's Fall?

She said something somewhat compliant with this quote in one of her retrospective scenes in BSR. The media literacy fail was in refusing to acknowledge that the show was from her POV and made that extremely obvious, that it was not necessarily trying to say that everything she believed and said was the unequivocal ‘truth’ (there’s another scene they were up in arms about when she said ‘I lost the baby because of her’…(Jane), was that technically true? No, but I don’t doubt it was emotionally true for her and/or what she believed, given the above quote, since it seems to suggest she either associated discovering Henry’s infidelity or her ‘heart breaking’ over the same with the miscarriage, as if they coincided or one happened immediately before the other).

At the company retreat, one extremely drunk girl asked what my pronouns were. (Eventually, it took her a while to word the question.) After the whole conversation was done, she goes- "YEAHHH GURL, Get on with--with THY bad self! See what I did?? They/them/thy."

I was almost holding back tears from trying not to laugh as I told her yes that's great you nailed it honey. Thank you very much I am feeling the love.

I love it when people use "shrimp" to mean "beyond the human range". like "shrimp colors" but applied to other things. "shrimp emotions" "shrimp sounds" "shrimp morality", as if shrimp are living some kind of transcendent existence that humans can never comprehend
