Propped up with an abundance of pillows & an extra soft mattress, her smile as we crack jokes shines brilliantly despite how dim her lights are set

I feel my smile relax as she fills my sight; my peripherals becoming non-existent. Her windowed crop top leaves plenty to see when combined with her favorite sweatpants, the frayed pull strings dangling too far down her thighs to be useful anymore

Her smile fades and shifts, which is a shame, but I become aware what look is on my face and realize that, she's just reacting to my stare, frozen in anticipation. I can't help but lick my lips in this kind of tension
