if you're walking at 5mph, but your feet are on sideways, and the sky turns green at 2:53, and Keanu Reeves has been sent to Neptune, what's your favorite video game
i cant walk 5mph in the first place, im only 5'4 and i have to walk like marvin the fucking martian everywhere i go
if my feet were on sideways i would still manage to get my shoes on wrong because i cant tell my left from my right
if the sky turns green that means every single car on the road is allowed to go at the same time
keanu reeves cant be sent to neptune with an expired passport
my favorite videogame MIGHT be professor layton and the diabolical box just because ive never been able to get over the ending, but mario galaxy and deltarune also come to mind
#this was very fun to answer thank u :o) ive always loved multiple choice questions#maybe if i had more multiple choice in my life id be able to get things done faster just closing my eyes and hoping for the best#its amazing that i dont own a magic eight ball. it would do wonders for my natural indecision and superstition#also to be fair ive only played the first two layton games even though i have the 3rd and 4th games on my cracked cartridge#BUT thats because my copy of unwound future is ass and it freezes on the opening cutscene so i cant even play it. sigh#maybe i should consider getting the mobile remastered versions but im lazy and i dont even know if i have enough storage space#there should be enough space on my ipad though so maybe. or ill back up some files to make room idk#i would have also answered undertale bc i had a huge undertale phase when it came out but im gonna be honest. ive never actually played it#im actually wondering if i should buy a copy for myself for xmas using grays steam account#the only thing im worried about is my motor skills are bad with keyboard and im dreading the asgore fight bc i heard its hard#but ive also never watched a full playthru so i feel like id be going into the game blind which sounds exciting. and ill prbably cry a lot#besides that ive been replaying mario galaxy with gray and i forgot how good the game is.. i love the ambience and game mechanics#although the races are so nerve wracking and i hate the controls sometimes. did u know i died on loopdeloop galaxy TWELVE FUCKING TIMES#also deltarune because i love EVERYTHING abt it i love the lore i love SUSIE i love the whole thing kris has going on#yapping#ask

I don't think she intended to endorse the second plan, and that her argument was more "If you really wanted to free monsterkind you wouldn't have sat on your throne and waited for more humans to fall down when you could have used a human soul, crossed the barrier, and killed six more." I think this is why she considers him a coward, because he didn't even try the most effective strategy, making it clear he doesn't want to free monsterkind and is letting them keep their hope through a lie he told them. That lie was that he would free monsterkind with seven souls and eradicate humanity.
Asgore also makes it clear he doesn't want to live up to his promise as he will literally kill himself in front of you if Flowey doesn't kill him so you can leave the underground. I think what Toriel wants him to do is to be honest with his people and admit that he never wanted to eradicate humanity or free monsters from the underground, that would take real courage.
Tumblr media
Transcript: I dislike "soriel" and i feel bad for asgore he killed those six humans but he didnt do it out of pure evil he did it because he had too he definitely didnt enjoy it and regretted it
And when toriel mentioned that asgore could've absorbed and passed the barrier to gather the other six and whose to say she wont be as angry if not more if asgore did pass the barrier to collect the other six
And its not like toriel succeed in protecting those six herself

Why aren't there comics in your interpretation of a flower king dark world?
I was just curious as to why you chose this generic fantasy theming instead of comics since the comics at Asgore's are the only form of entertainment
Plus it would be cool to see KFC in an urban superhero aestetic
Would it be cool? Yes.
Would it fit what I'm going for? No.
The theme is not "generic fantasy world." This Dark World is themed around ancient Greece. Why ancient Greece? Because Asgore is mentally stuck in the past. There are mostly only ruins left, like Asgore's dying business. AND the Knight of this Dark World happens to be Flowey. A character who, on more than one occasion, has been playing god. Gods were kinda a big deal back in ancient Greece.
That is why, anon.
I know there are those theories going around that the Dark World's are based on escapism or entertainment. But PLEASE keep in mind that this story was written YEARS ago. I won't go changing my script for that.
Besides, the comics are a small part INSIDE the store. The whole idea was to mix the RUINS from Undertale with a Dark World since both games are cannibalizing each other IN THIS STORY. RUINS... Ancient Greece... You see my thought process, anon?
It's thematic.

I feel like Undertale x Danny Phantom would be a bit of a relief for the young halfa. I’d really like to see him being scared of them not because they’re different, but because they’re just as intelligent and curious as humans. As ghost hunters.
But then he gets some sort of confirmation that they really aren’t going to do anything bad. Some doctors still want to run tests, but it’s just to be sure if he’s really okay. And he just feels free around them, around every monster. They’re more non-human than he is, he can be as abnormal as he wants with no worries!
The scariest part was dealing with Sans because he was so unsettled by Danny falling instead of Frisk, but Danny’s contacting Clockwork to look into it. For a while, Sans’ distrust was the main reason why Danny avoided Snowdin, but soon after they had that talk, our pun-loving skeleton started giving him a chance and Danny started trusting him as well.
I can imagine him having a pretty serious talk with Asgore and saying that he doesn’t think humanity is ready for monsters. They’re obviously ready for the surface, and the surface is waiting, but Danny’s experience has left him with a distrust with his own government. This would stir up some of the Underground if it got out.
Oh, and you best believe people want to hear Danny talk about outer space! It starts at Grillby’s, just Danny telling Sans about the stars and then getting excited talking about it, which basically leads to this—
Danny: I really don’t think people realize just how big the whole universe is. I mean, the term “light year” exists for a reason! To measure the distance it takes for the speed of light to travel in an entire year! Speaking of years, isn’t it funny how—! Sorry, I got excited.
Sans: Don’t apologize for that, kid. Besides, I think your audience wants to hear more.
Danny: My audience?
Pretty much every monster in the bar: 👀
???: Yeah, keep going!
Also Toriel. I feel like she’d be absolutely horrified by the fact that Danny learned how to stitch his own wounds with his friends because it implies that his parents, his mother, wasn’t there to help.
Bonus; If Danielle is there, I think it’d be an interesting confrontation between Danny and literally anyone because he puts himself between Danielle and pretty much everyone. I think Papyrus would be all “Look, Sans! They’re like us, siblings!”

It's very sweet that Sans and Toriel hadn't like properly met each other before, but when they did they immediately clicked and started joking together and becoming best friends. They became such a duo like immediately.
They were technically NOT on a long-distance relationship (as in either platonic or romantic), but their situation was very unique. In the end there wasn't really an awkwardness or anything, straight to puns.
They probably talked so much about life and stuff, even if they didn't share names. Sans did talk about his brother, literally the most distrusting guy alive telling this mysterious lady about his dear little brother.
I really am hoping to see them a lot more in deltarune because I just need more of their dynamic, hopefully that doesn't cost Asgore and Toriel reconciling to much! We didn't get to see Toriel and Asgore becoming amicable in Undertale besides the ONE cutscene in the credits and brieeefly on the alarm clock - I hope we get to see them in a good place in DR a bit earlier! (Though that's probably not happening that soon..).
BECAUSE IMAGINE ASGORE AND SANS FRIENDSHIP THOUGH, Asgore finds Sans very funny, they would get along great actually, it's just the awkwardness factor of Toriel between them, but if everyone reconciled it would be an amazing dynamic right there. I don't think Sans has any strong feelings towards the guy, but Asgore is still very much not over Toriel which is probably related to his life going to shit, I HOPE THINGS TURN OUT WELL FOR HIM!!
I just want everyone to get alooong.

For your Lucky Clover AU:
How is Clover's and Flowey's relationship? Because at the end of the True Pacifist ending Clover never really finds out the Flowey's been playing him, I imagine at the beginning(?) of your AU Clover and Flowey were friends (as one-sided as it was considering Flowey's condition).
Is Flowey bitter that Clover didn't follow through with the plans to storm Asgore and take the human souls? Or is he still keeping up appearances and staying on Clover's good side?
I imagine Flowey would be at least entertained by the prospect of a human hiding away in the underground like an escaped convict or something.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Flowey and Clover certainly have a relationship! It's hard to tell if it's a friendship or just a mutual yet uneasy partnership. Both of them feel a bit differently about it.
Flowey hangs around, occasionally checking in on Clover. He never reveals the full extent of his plans, nor how he truly feels about the fact that Clover ditched the plans to obtain the human souls and chose instead to live in the Underground. Flowey is bitter over this fact, but more than that, he's fascinated by this outcome that's never happened in another timeline. In order to observe what happens, he keeps up a good and friendly appearance towards Clover.
Clover, on the other hand, is a little unsure about Flowey as the years progress. They genuinely considered him a friend when they were younger, but as they aged, they began to feel a bit suspicious and offput by Flowey's demeanor. Even if they can't gleam what his plans are, they get the sense that there's more going on than what Flowey tells them. Especially when he drags them around the Underground for various tasks that he refuses to elaborate on. That's just what friends do for each other, he says!
Overall, while their relationship is becoming a lot more strained as Clover ages, they still often work together - although Flowey makes it a point to not appear in front of anyone else besides Clover. Not even Clover's family knows about their secret flower friend.

Is the Royal Judge as big as a role as other stories, like in Classics universe would everyone be surprised if he told them? And does anyone besides Asgore and Asriel know he is the judge?
Does everyone also know how strong sans is really? And that he can dodge? Or that his HP and everything is at 1? Or about the Karma damage he deals? They didn’t seem too surprised about the blaster. Also will they have a big role in the plot of STTMH, obviously it’s their universe at risk too and sans wouldn’t be able to keep the existence of AUs to himself, papyrus and Asriel for long
I do not have the "judge" as an official position in the Underground- I refer to it as a sort of role instead. (I included a link to a similar ask I answered a few days ago with more details~!)
I'd say it depends. Both Papyrus and other monsters know that Sans can typically handle his own and is extremely good at dodging, but they also know about Sans's low stats. So while they trust Sans, they will also worry if they know he is getting involved with trouble.
No, they do not know about Sans's karma ability. In terms of them being accepting towards the blaster, they're approaching it from the light-hearted position of: "Oh! A strange new monster who is a friend of my friend! Hello! :D"
There will eventually come a point where Sans will need to explain the multiverse to his family. I know that Undyne, at least, will need to resist the urge to chuck Sans out the window. (º □ º l|l)

To Hold A Child And See Them As Your Own - An Undertale Yellow Fic
Ceroba time loop au - "in sakuras and flame."
(Inspired by in stars and time)
---
Ceroba Ketsukane was nothing if not a patient woman.
She had raised and taught Kanako for as long as she could remember, even though Chujin didn't help nearly as much as she would have liked due to the fact that he was constantly busy with his job at the steamworks.
She had dutifully and devotedly taken care of her ailing husband after he had "retired", even when she had to assist him with eating or, on particularly awful days, sitting up right on the bed.
She had waited and waited for a painfully long amount of time for a human pure of heart and mind to walk into the dunes - all so she could claim their soul for herself and set out to fufill Chujin's legacy.
The same legacy he had entrusted her with.
The same legacy that drove her to slaughtering her own innocent, beloved daughter.
But now?
Her nearly infinite patience was wearing thin.
----
Chujin had always had an extremely negative view on humanity as a whole.
He thought of them as selfish, cruel beings with not an ounce of love, hope, or compassion within their bodies. Beings that would do anything in their power to dominate and oppress those they deemed lesser.
Ceroba disagreed with Chujin when it came to most subjects at this point, but this one in particular..
Struck a nerve.
Her eyes were bloodshot, exhaustion evident in every single vein popping through her retina, as she looked over the corpse of a dead child with a SOUL that was full of justice and kindness and the exact antithesis of everything Chujin had spouted to her throughout the years.
A corpse she had seen so many times.
She remembered feeling emotional, once; before she had lost count of the number of loops it had been, before she had grown accustomed to the surge of determination that seemed to envelop her very SOUL before she was dragged back to that fateful day.
But now, the sight of the little cowpoke, brown hair tousled from all the battles they were forcibly dragged into despite being a little kid, checkered bandana ripped and torn at the edges, hat speckled with dust showcasing just how long and difficult of a journey they had endured until the bitter end..
Had become mundane.
She had tried. Fuck, she had tried to find a better, brighter future - one where Clover got to live happily underground for the rest of their life, surrounded by the people that loved them unconditionally and that would protect them from anyone who tried to lay a finger on them.
She had even come close to it, on some occasions - loops where she had insisted that Clover stay with her back in the Wild East, where they could visit their Uncle Starlo and participate in his silly roleplay with the Feisty Four whenever they wanted, and even hang out with their Auntie Martlet whenever she remembered the plans they had made earlier in the week.
But.
Whenever she had gone to chech in on them in K- their new room, she always discovered the window tilted open, a note lying on the dresser.
A note that always read..
'To Cero
To Martl
To Sta
To whoever finds this first,
I'm sorry.
It just.. don't feel right that I get to live peacefully down here while the other children had to die.
I'm going to get justice for them. One way or another.
Don't come after me. A..friend showed me some shortcuts to get to King Asgore as fast as possible.
Goodbye.'
And a note that always left her weeping and sobbing - whether it be as she sprinted to New Home as fast as she possibly could, knowing full well the entire time that she would be too late, too late - or whether it be as she simply kneeled beside the bedside drawer, mourning and lamenting a future that never was.
Slowly, she approached the corpse, and cradled it in her arms - just like how she used to rock Kanako to sleep after a dreadful nightmare, cooing and shushing her lovingly as she did so.
She brought them close to her chest and nuzzled their hair with her muzzle, tears beginning to slowly trickle down her pained, tired eyes and land on their head of hair.
"Clover," she began.
She didn't know what else to say.
What IS there to say, to someone whom you have come to love and adore as family across millions of timelines, but whom seems to be doomed by fate itself?
...Ah. she knew.
"Mom loves you." She whispered, hugging them even tighter, "Mom..loves..you.." She managed to choke out through tears.
She sniffled, before looking them directly in their hazel-brown eyes, "I'll..I'll find a way to save you, honey. Even if it's the last thing I do."
"In the meantime.."
A surge of undying resolve, a DETERMINATION to change fate once more and save her child.
"Please..stay determined, okay?"
And then she woke up in her bed.
---
Chat should I include a "what if clover did a vengeance run in one loop"? 😊

[Two worlds united]
Hello, passing by and already cute fluffies. And here is the first work and the newest, art of characters of everyone's favorite Undertale in the style of Hollow knight >:3
I know that the idea was obvious and some have already made their interpretations, but there are so few of them that I decided to make my own. And besides, I was a little bored.
Small notes:
-Flowey has a face like a midwife because it suits him.
-Toriel and Asgore in my interpretation are pale creatures like the pale king and the white lady.
-Yes, Sans is inspired by dashmaster =^=

We know how Clover feels about the Main Monsters... but how do the Main Monsters feel about Clover?... Both before + after the Pacifist Ending? :)
(The main characters: Asgore, Toriel, Papyrus, Sans, Undyne, Alphys and Mettaton!)
That is a really good question. I'm suprised I hadn't done anything with the subject yet. Since you aksed, I'll give the before and after of the Pacifist Route.
Before
Toriel: To her, Clover is the child she failed before she even learned his name. She doesn't know much about what is going on outside of the Ruins besides what she heard from Sans and what information came through from Napstablook and the Spiders. She is happy that Clover is alive
Papyrus: He doesn't have anything against Clover. Sure, it's his job to take him down and his following, but that isn't personal. Paprus doesn't know much about him, but he's sure that Clover has good intentions, even if he doesn't quite understand them.
Undyne: She hates him. She hates Clover with her entire being. She views Clover as a brat trying to destroy everything that Monsterkind has worked for. An infection which turns Monsters against. She wants to personally deliver his Soul to the King. However, deep in her soul, a small part of her is scared. The way Clover carries himself, the way he speaks, and the way his eyes seem to glow when he is angry all paint a picture of someone you don't mess with. Someone who has crossed certain lines before and can cross them again
Alphys: She's scared of Clover. She doesn't believe that he will hurt her physically, but that is the impression that the cold look in his eyes leaves you with. The blackmail, knowing that he can discover and expose her darkest secrets if she doesn't comply, doesn't help.
Mettaton: He finds Clover boring and doesn't believe he is tapping into his full potential. He's glad that the cowboy is working so hard to protect humanity, but he doesn't need to be so dull about it. The boy was born for the cameras, and yet he refuses to tap into his full potential. Also, he totally isn't salty about Clover refusing to be interviewed. This has nothing to do with that.
Sans: Seems cool. Didn't tip him for his Hot Cat, though.
Asgore: Asgore is one of the few characters who sees Clover as a child. A child who grew up too quickly, but a child nonetheless. It is why he allowed Clover to see the human souls. He doesn't want to fight Clover, not just because of what it would mean for his people, but also what it would do to the young boy with kindness as great as his anger.
After
Toriel: Toriel was surprised by Clover's attitude when she met him. Him being cool with Agore almost caused her brain to crash. Clover isn't what Toriel had expected, but she still cares for him. She just isn't used to humans that act so... grown up.
Papyrus: Imagine his surprise when he learnt that his friend Martlet his friends with their enemy, Clover. Jokes aside, Papyrus concluded that Clover is a pretty cool dude after getting to know him, even if he is a bit too cynical for his tastes.
Undyne: Her hatred for Clover is pretty much gone, and she respects the hell out of him. It takes real guts to stand by your principles like he did. They aren't friends, far from it, but there is a certain level of understanding between them. Also, Undyne apologised for being an asshole during the peace talks.
Alphys: She isn't scared anymore, so that's good. She still isn't entirely comfortable being around Clover or any of the Sanctuary people, but it becomes easier every day.
Mettaton: He hates how Clover keeps stealing the spotlight from him without even trying. On the surface, Clover is constantly hounded by paparazzi, reporters, talk show invites and documentary offers. And he doesn't even appreciate it!!!
Sans: Still hasn't tipped him.
Asgore: The two have grown relatively close since the Barrier broke, at least as close as they could get. Asgore had asked Clover personally to testify at his trial. They talk whenever they can, and Clover had even confided in Asgore about Flowey's Resets since he's one of the few Monsters that know about the ability. Of course, Clover didn't tell him everything. The Vengeance Run is a secret he'll keep to his grave, and the fate of Asriel is not his story to tell.

Hey/
Did you see 6 skeletons 1 maid updated?
Thoughts?
I was saving this ask to make a little comic of how that last chapter felt but- lets say it didn't turn out how i wanted. Instead, i just dug out some of my old Maid-chan drawings and stared at them blankly for the next days.
I'm still particularly fixed on this one little page:
Tumblr media
Mister Green was my absolute favorite and the only light i saw at the end of her tunnel. He was so kind and sweet, and pretty much the only one that treated her like a person (besides Yellow of course). When i first read this fic so many years ago i didn't trully realized the dark tone of this story but i still chose the only "healthy" option. I wanted MC to be happy and free, and oh how i wanted him to give her that. I held those drawings of him for years imagining a chapter where they would encounter again and that would drive her to a better ending (either skeletons overcoming their issues and treating her with respect or him taking her away).
But then this final chapter appeared and it was... a thing.
(Kinda spoilers for the babes that haven't read it)
First of all, I FINALLY GOT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED AFTER BEACH CHAPTERS OMG I NEEDED THAT
Second of all, it didn't look good at all and it was getting worse as I read. But then good because it was a week alone for her to rest and Sans was eating with her?? But also that whole scene reminded me how bad her situation really was so it actually wasn't good at all.
And then the scene that broke me.
I was aware that I wanted her to flee before, but I never thought she could.
It was oddly satisfying, if not a bit anxiety inducing because of the thought that they would caught her eventually. As always.
But then Asgore, and Orange. And nothing...
I got mad that he found her. Which was a weird feeling since I remember liking him a lot. It felt to me like he ruined her good enough ending. But despite that, it makes sense it was him so I don't complain.
What crushed me though, wasn't that she couldn't say goodbye or that Sans got tired of trying to get her back. It was the fact the Gs didn't even try looking for her. They didn't even got mentioned. What happened there, I wonder. Didn't they like her? Care for her? Mister Green wrote her letters, of course he liked her. But then why...?
Suddenly he looked like a fairytale.
The ending was great, finally lending her the ability to choose. It made absolutely everything worth it and the way it was written made me feel like I do have a say in the matter. And for the first time, i didn't choose the skeletons.
I realized she could find her happy ending alone.

Transcript: I hate how part of the fandom was brainwashed into thinking all humanity sucks
Like, if we shouldn't judge all of monsterkind for Asgores crimes why should we judge all humanity for a few jerks? The pacifist ending credits shows us they accepted monsterkind with no problems, and some forget the game was made by a human
Besides, there are many good people out there, it wouldn't kill you to see the bright side
If you think humanity sucks so much then follow Charas steps, see where they get you

I think people like forget that Undertale is a game with complicated characters and dealing with complicated issues. Especially when it comes to the Dreemurr family. None of them are exactly bad people but none of them are exactly good people. Asgore and Toriel are still dealing with the grief of losing their kids. I do think Toriel was right in leaving, but I do get where Asgore was coming from.
Like in the game itself moral is low. Everyone kind of is putting on a happy face, but none of them are really happy being trapped. Imagine how low moral was when Asriel and Chara died??? Asgore had to do something and what he did, worked! Kind of. In the game everyone is of low moral but they always say something like 'but with one more human soul we'll be free!'
Of course Asgore hates himself for it. He doesn't want to kill children. Especially children that looked like his child. I feel like people don't explore the fact that Asgore and Toriel did lose a human child. It's probably why Toriel was so against the idea (besides killing them) bc they had a human kid. I remember seeing a comic from long ago, I forgot the artist, but it went like. Asgore was shocked to see Frisk because they saw Chara for a second. I feel like Asgore sees Chara in every human child that comes to him.
Toriel is very judgmental. She has a very set but strict standards of morality. She uses the human as a way to replace what she lost but she has to eventually come to terms that no, she'll never have Asriel or Chara again and that these humans are their own people. They want to return home, she realizes that at the end of the pacifist fight with her. In her mind she accepts that her children are gone, but in her actions she's trying to replace them, trying to become a mother again. But I don't think that's very. Healthy??
As for Chara!!! I'll never be a Chara hater. They weren't the best person, but they weren't a bad person. They were a child that obviously had some issues. Why else would they have climbed the Mountain, Asriel even says as much, they came up for not-so-good reasons. And to like people saying Chara laughed at poisoning Asgore. That was a nervous laugh, happens when you kill Toriel, she's not laughing because she finds you killing her funny.
Chara's laughing because they poisoned their adopted father (accidentally), and like damn?? I'd feel bad too. UHH.
Yeah, the plan was something. Chara wasn't the greatest friend to Asriel but again they were both children. Chara had so much pressure put on them to live up to the prophecy. And they wanted to. They wanted to free monster-kind, the monsters were so much kinder to them then the humans ever were on the surface. So I get it. Genocide route Chara is, again that's on you, the player. In any other route Chara doesn't delete the world, you taught them that. And I can see why, it's punishment for you, they're punishing you for doing a genocide route. Sure everyone is dead if they deleted the world, but that removes the satisfaction of you killing everyone.
Asriel! He's the purest of the bunch but even then. Flowey is Asriel as Asriel is Flowey, they're like Nightmare in that earlier post. They're only different in the fact that one was pre and one is post traumatic event. That's why they seem so different, trauma obviously will affect how someone lives, much less what happened to Asriel. He's different in the sense that he's a soulless flower that can't feel (I think he can feel but that's for another time.)
He's a different person, but he's not a different being. If he was a different entity he wouldn't be Asriel and we know that's not true. So Flowey and Asriel are the same being, just a different stage in their life. Flowey def mellows out after a post pacifist based on the winter dialogue.
