@twooftheluckyones's AU is DELICIOUSLY fluffy and also makes me cry sometimes, especially the main storyline of the betrayal. Those two are way too powerful. Also their recent foray into more OC content with Baal and Oko has literally ruined my life and inspired me to write several poems. I will forever adore these two, go read their stuff I beg you.

@aychama's Royal AU dude I cannot even with that au. I am feral for anything medieval and Ayça has just made the sweetest lemonade out of those gay lemons. ough, so good. Plus the way it's like a mutual slowburn, but you only ever see Lambert's side of it all? AUGH so tragically well done, I can't wait for each new page. You NEED to see it if you somehow haven't yet.

@bamsara's TROD is the reason I ever got into this fandom, and it remains the only fandom I've ever been in. I've been here 4 months and met so many beautiful people, so if I had to designate a "favourite" I guess it would be theirs? But like, I love so many it's hard to choose anymore

@bloos-bloo's Toybox AU because I'm feral over Emery and also Kallamar and Nari and it's just so deliciously evil and omfg so good. It's like, sinister as hell and I can't really recommend it because it deals with some heavy concepts but omg it's good. Read it when you're older xD

@kiko---random-stuff-probably's Jewel Box AU. We talk in DM's about it allllll the time it's so good I wish I had the power to just let people log into my account and see it all xD. It's really good and the way Kiko writes tragic gays is just magnificent. I can't help it, I'm so invested into them it's tragic.

@the-artist-grimm's Crimson Angel AU has, on several occasions, had me FUCKED UP in the club. That awkward co-parenting but still angry at eachother phase? The betrayal as a whole? THE PARENTING????????????? It's so beautifully written, please go read it.

@ro-bee's Goat AU has me feral because like, Kiran is literally me. No but seriously it's so cute and fluffy and the dog is so pathetic I just need it in my veins.

@aniimoni's mythology AU. It's only had a few pieces made for it at this point, but omg the concept has me crying in the club. Anii is the master of "Here's a cute concept. Now I'm going to tear your heart out" and it tricks me into feeling safe and warm and fuzzy every time until that bastard steals my soul again /pos. Everyone ATE at their jobs today!!! And I'm so glad everybody (including all the hostages) is okay :'D

Lucy did really well as a practice sergeant! I still don't know if that's the path for her given that she likes being in the thick of it (like undercover) but I support her :). I get why she doesn't just want to stay where she is forever, even if it's not her first choice (I actually really get that as I was recently accepted to my second choice program for something lol)

Tim also did great stepping back - he has been a TO for years lol! Also, I'm SO GLAD Chenford actually talked for a second 😭 like with words. And while I'm not as insistent on Tim being drastically- I don't know, in need of repentance xD, I'm glad Lucy said she hasn't forgiven him yet. It's clear, they're still there for each other, and maybe they'll have something in the future (I mean we all hope/know so but maybe to them), but she's not ready to forgive him. And that's totally fine ❤️!! Glad they just finally TALKED ABOUT IT!! Lol xD

Celina did great on her first real undercover assignment 🥳. And I see why they had her be revealed - left Nolan, with more experience, on the bus (plot wise). But she handled everything really well, as well as keeping track of her mental state afterwards, and I'm super proud of her :D.

Bailey ate too of course!! And yeah, my gosh adoption money o.o and just kid money in general xd. But y'all will figure it out <3. Also though, regarding recklessness 😬. . . I know it's different shows and universes guys, but if Tarlos can't get a kid from recklessness, you can't either xD 💀. Y'all are reckless in different ways but still xD. I do hope it works out though <33.

Loved seeing Grey and Miles work together!! It sucks that Miles had to sell his ring :((. But hopefully he'll come up with the money <3. Also the barbecue bit was silly lol and cute :'D. The whole thing reminds me of Jackson <3..

Also phew for Lucy and myself that Seth isn't here xD the stress man. But I did see a fascinating looking breakdown on YouTube and then realized it was his ACTOR so I am very interested in watching that!!

Angela and Nyla again 😭. This is why you wait for SWAT xD. Nah, but I'm glad they're okay <33. I will say I briefly when just quick glancing at the Wopez tag to see if they were in this episode basically lol (plus I was only pretty sure there was an episode last night xD) I saw Monica mentioned, so when Angela saw the footage I thought it was her for a second, with barely a reaction xD. But, it was, of course, the pregnant lady. Still, O.O. Monica is not doing ANYTHING good, and I'm wondering if it has to do with Oscar. Elijah could have tipped him on to her, and we haven't seen anything with him since his escape.

I will say yes Monica's been hanging on for a little while but I'll let it slide because I need some Wopez/Wesley angst xD like imagine Elijah recommends her to Oscar and they're working together (with Elijah's help). But even though Oscar doesn't really have a personal grudge against them, Elijah's condition is that he makes Wopez pay. Sooo also maybe imagine a repeat or reminder of 2x06 for that trauma damage 👀. Anyway, don't get me started on how Wesley's trauma connects xD.

Also Wesley calling them at the end was great lol <3. I love him and Angela, as always :')) 🥰. And I hope Wes never stops worrying (not just because I like angst lol), at least a little bit <3. They're sweet about it :').

Also the next episode looks O.O. A) CHENFORD 👀👀😳 WHAT THE FREAK ARE Y'ALL DOING XDD 👀👀🤭!! And O.O yes there is a way people will believe it, or at least use it to try and fight in court xD. Anyway it looks O.O, the night time tone really sets it for feeling dark and creepy. Love it, looks exciting!!

Loved this episode :D!! Everybody was really great and the way everything worked with the hostage situation was cool :). And Monica knowing how it would go o.o she continues to be smart, let's be real. Also at first with the accomplice lady I was like "bestie they're gonna find that phone xD" but then I realized there was a drain there lol 😬. Maybe some days it'll get picked up, buuuut probably not xd. Again, glad everyone's okay ❤️! Amazing episode :D!

It explores their relationship and unspoken feelings with a hint of spice and steam. Chuuya also wears a maid outfit. Because Dazai.

Forever My Loyal Servant - Oneshot / Explicit / 7,560 words - A short story for Bottom Dazai Week 2024. Takes place in the Beast universe, exploring the pining, the angst, and the unspoken feelings between Dazai and Chuuya. Also (makes attempts) to explore the power dynamic between the two of them, as they spend every night together. Angsty and sad. So many feelings when I got to the end ;w;

Our Unstoppable Destined Love - Oneshot / Mature / 6,401 words - Another Bottom Dazai Week story. Uh, Dazai in a dress while being the mafia boss is what got me started on this one. Just Dazai and Chuuya having a good old time while they're on the job. Whoops.

Finding Love in You - Oneshot / Mature / 11,871 words - Written for Chuuya Week 2024. Chuuya is the royal king, and Dazai is his newest wife. They start off on the wrong foot, but Dazai just can't help but wooed by him. It's such a cute little story <3

May You Be Mine? - Oneshot / Mature / 10,251 words - An office AU in which Chuuya is the custodian and Dazai is the office worker. It was supposed to end sadish, but then somehow, it turned out to be cute. Re-reading this makes me wanna eat chocolates made by Chuuya. Dazai is so lucky!

Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Yes! I respond super slow, but I eventually do! It's neat to interact with others, and it's a way of showing my appreciation to the lovely readers who enjoyed the story <3

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

I like to write angsty stories, so a lot of the stories tend to have bittersweet/sad endings. But I think it's a tie between The Wicked Truth Among the Gentle Lies and The Unobtainable Glass Soul. The first one is SKK and... oof. Without giving too much away, the line between reality and desire is harsh. :') As for the second one, it is a FyoZai story, and it was written for Dead Dove Week, so the DD ending is... tough to swallow. Poor Dazai. The emotional pain killed my heart T_T

What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

Dreaming of You, Fated to be With You, in particular Chapter 5. It's a super sweet and cute AU in which Akutagawa is an archeologist/explorer and Atsushi is cursed as a tiger. The interaction between them is just down right adorable and hilarious sweet, especially since Atsushi can't communicate using regular words due to being a tiger. It's such a light-hearted, fun little AU.

Do you write crossovers?

Not yet. But I once thought about a crossover between Demon Slayers and BSD. It'd be fun to see the characters interact.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

Knock on wood, I haven't!

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Yes. Alongside complex, layered issues and thought provoking emotions.

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Luckily, I haven't. Hopefully it stays that way.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes! It wasn't a BSD story. It was for a story I wrote called A Punishing Gift. It was for an otome game, Piofiore, featuring the pairing, Yang / Lily. I'm still super honored and humbled that it was widely loved by the reader who did such great working translating it into a masterpiece.

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Yes! I've written with Lily (another Lily; she sadly isn't on tumblr) on plenty of stories. It's always such a blast bouncing around ideas and seeing the characters lose it because of such said ideas. (Always up for co-writing with my moots and anyone in the community! Co-writing is so much fun <3)

What’s your all-time favorite ship?

That's a tough one. A toss up between SKK and Fyozai. But also SSKK, Kunizai, and DazAtsu. Okay, I just love these pairings too much to choose only one T_T

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

Uhhhh... all of them. The WIP list is endless. Although I'd love to continue the two stories I did for the SKK Summer Exchange 2024 - Seeing My in You and Living a Life of My Own. My brain already has scenes and ideas for the next chapters, but... the time ;w;

What are your writing strengths?

I've been told it's transitioning in between scenes and characters' introspective thoughts. I also have lots of fun writing villains and their characters, exploring their motives and learning that they're very human despite what the they do.

What are your writing weaknesses?

Writing way too much when it's not needed sometimes. I get really into the story and the character, then forget that it needs less words, more clarity lol!

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I think it depends on the feel and intent of a given situation that is happening in the story. For myself, I don't do it too much, as I'm not sure I do it justice, writing dialogue in another language.

What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?

For fandom, it's Demon Slayers, JJK, and Pandora Hearts. Without rambling too much, the worlds are so fascinating and the characters are equally fantastic. Would love to explore lots of ships for all three series. For a particular ship, I'd love to write Emily and JJ from Criminal Minds. Their dynamic is peak.

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

All of them! I had so much fun writing each and every single one <3

hiii i haven't asked questions in a long time but I have been following along with the posts actively!!

@ the previous ask don't worry im really interested by your read on gojo.. its hard to find somebody that reads him in a harsh manner like that. and i get surprised when i see someone that pictures him harsher than i do. i like it a lot! okay here's questions i have in mind.. (weirdly they're all about megumi)

since megumi produces music for leoni in this au, does he work together with saki for leonis songs? or does saki take the backseat here?

and, was megumi and akitos conflict decided on during the drawing board to contrast their feelings towards dogs? lol

lastly, i was curious after seeing some of your arts, does "polyneed" in this au stand for the original 4 or is megumi included?

Glad ya find it interesting that I made Gojo a bit more harsh. I feel like it’s a bit of a controversial take on his character and all =v=;

He works with Saki! :Dc

Saki still mainly composed the songs, Megumi occasionally helps out whenever Saki feels like she needs a second opinion (since he does have professional experience and all).

Megumi even teach Saki how to use a Sound Mixer Board, so they can experiment a bit with different sounds. It’s be adorable.

Like my plan is to have Megumi. A sort of a jack-of-all trades sort of role within Leo/Need. His strong suit is definitely composing. But after a long time of just composing for the sake of it, he wants to actually compose with passion and feelings again. Hence him only helping Saki as an occasional Co-composer and never a lead one, for he wants to learn from Saki.

Lyrical writing is definitely his weakest point, for he was never been that great at verbalizing his feelings into words (since the dude always suppressed them lol), so when he does help Ichika with lyrics, it’s mostly for him to learn. But Ichika does appreciate his help for his vocabulary is a bit bigger due to him reading a lot lol.

Megumi sometimes helps with Honami when it comes to paper work but not too often, for while he does understands the more business sides of things, he ultimately trusts Honami to make the best decisions for the band.

So Yee. His main role is to be the second guitarist, with the occasional sound mixer board depending on the songs. He’s not as comfortable with using a guitar at first since it’s been forever since he lasted touched one, but Shiho is there to help teach him. Plus he’s a decently fast learner once he gets the hang of it. :3c

It’s so funny how Megumi be a huge dog person while Akito is terrified of dogs! X3c

Nah. I mostly have the conflict between them due to me wanting to sort of highlight how they are similar in certain ways, but ultimately different.

I’m a bit rusty so I could be wrong, but Akito and Megumi are similar in a sense, especially in the surface level of the “sick-of-the-wacky-shenanigans” grumpy poker face department lol. But they do tend to look down on themselves and thus have a tendency to overwork themselves.

However a big difference is that Akito is not the type who judge people harshly when they did something wrong or bad. Compared that to Megumi who looks down upon those he deems as bad.

Additionally. Akito is like. Emotionally aware of other people’s feelings, while Megumi in the beginning is too emotionally suppressed to notice.

Hence Akito noticing how Yuuji has been slowly becoming depressed and stressed lately, and cheered him up via planning a weekend trip to Sendai City (with the help of Nobara and Mizuki tagging along as well)

Basically my plan was that Akito and Megumi are foils to each other. :3c

Okay. So low key… this is a hard one to answer…

So in my original plan, I was gonna have Megumi and Yuuji be end-game. Like after the split up and them growing and reconciling, I was planning on them be like a thing.

But now… after I decided to have Megumi officially join Leo/Need…

I’ve been liking the idea of Megumi being part of the Poly/need… =3=;

Like. I absolutely adore the way Megumi has been interacting with Leo/Need (especially Honami, their relationship means everything to me).

And I’m still 100% uncertain if I want Megumi to be part of the poly/need romantically, or to be a part of it in a queerplatonic way.

And that doesn’t even go into account if I still want Megumi and Yuuji to be a thing too! >O<;

My tag makoredeyes is a Final Fantasy 7 reference (see Vincent Valentine <3) ... "Feralwinter" came from a joke about me comparing Felwinter from Destiny to a stray cat about a year ago.

•Favorite fandoms

Presently ears-deep in Destiny/D2 but I am also a big Titanfall2 fan, LOVE Trigun, and Final Fantasy 7 and its derivatives will forever live in my heart. I also have a marriage and over 25 year relationship built on Star Wars and I've seen The Nightmare Before Christmas 109 times.

•OTPs+Ship name

I am a filthy multishipper <3

FFVII it's Cid Highwind x Vincent Valentine and I'm pretty confident I'm actually the one that got people using the Valenwind shipname waaaay back in the day.

Titanfall it's BTxJack or Jack xBlisk or if I'm feeling spicy I'll try to make all three of them work. :3

Destiny I think ya'll know but my favorites are Felwinter x Timur and/or Osiris in just about any permutation of the three, adding or subtracting a handful of wildcards for giggles, plot, or kink depending on the setting and timing. Took me a minute but I reckon my tendency to impulsively collect bits of broken glass is probably pretty fucking weird.

Obviously I write, and draw, but I also enjoy painting resin figures (I can't really call my preference for larger scale models 'minifgures' but like that). I'm a actively practicing and learning lapidary (I carve rocks) and rockhound (I go out and search for and collect rocks) and rock collector lol. I love rocks. XD I'm also big into plants and have a huge indoor houseplant collection, and a pretty robust garden, and start a lot of stuff by seed most years. Removing myself from the earth, I'm also a license pilot although I haven't flown in years due to both medical and financial restrictions. (renting an airplane is fucking expensive RIP lol) Flying isn't something I actively practice anymore but the knowledge, culture, and fascination and love of flying and airplanes is burned into my bones and I don't think it's ever going to go away. <3

•Something you're good at

I think I'm a pretty decent writer. I'd like to think I generally am pretty good at understanding people too. Like, seeing things from their perspectives and understanding their needs and wants and intentions and all that. It's what I like to write about too, fundamentally so they go hand in hand I guess.

pffff most things. Adulting. My home is a constant mess. But I do my best.

•Something you excel at

I can't resist laughing and pointing out Microsoft Excel. I'm so autistic I actually like spreadsheets and am very good at them al;ksdjfshdfh. IDK. I think I'm getting pretty awesome at these model paintings. I don't think of myself like this.

Gentle rain. A good scented candle. Pretty lights. A mossy forest, the ocean, my damn cats even though one of them is bullying me right now. cozy things.

•Something you could talk about for hours without off the cuff

Truly, Destiny Lore. Character analysis and picking apart text, words used, context, setting, tracing threads. Swapping headcanons and worldbuilding based on what we already have. Conjecture. Let's ramble for the next 6 hours about why he would totally say that, or did say it, or could have because I think this lore card implies he did. I live for those meals and eat so grandly off of just...sharing the stories.

•Something you hate

I don't think this is what this question meant when someone first listed it but this is the only think rolling around in my head right now so Imma say it and you'll know some of the shadows and worries in my heart today: I fucking hate Nazis.

•Something you collect

Cobalt glass. I have a lot of vintage (and some not) cobalt things. I love that color.

•Something you forget

I always have a glass of water but 80% of the time I've forgotten it in another room. Husband teases me relentlessly. We're both very excited because I remembered to rescue it from his office tonight.

•What's your love language

Acts of service/gifts. I love writing ficlets or doing little drawings for my friends especially on request. Special little things I won't share otherwise unless you ask me to. Just for you. I am hugging you this way because I am not close enough to do it the conventional way.

•Favorite movie/show

Oh I forgot Transformers for fandoms. Transformers Prime is kind of old now but I just adored that show.

•Favorite food

Pho. 10/10 comfort food. Actually I just really love Vietnamese food in general but Pho is a gift from heaven.

Yanno I'm not entirely sure because I'm struggling between my favorite teacher who taught my worst subject, art which was just fun but not challenging, English which I was GOOD at but not fun in any way, and Spanish which was engaging but too challenging to be fun.

I'm going to just go back and point at some of my aviation classes I took in college lol.

•Least favourite subject

Chemistry because we had a teacher who couldn't stay on topic and I already really struggled with the math of it.

•What's your best character trait?

I'd like to think I'm pretty open-minded usually. And generally friendly. I can be a little bit of an asshole sometimes but I'm really working on that so hopefully nobody has the opportunity to notice lol.

•If you could change any detail of your day right now, what would it be?

Well I had to go to work and I would have much rather been home all day doing creative stuff so that would have been a nice change.

My great-grandad who I apparently have a LOT in common with but I never really met.

Okay, I haven't written anything on the Haunting of Simon Snow in awhile. But I have been working on my floor plan for Pitch Manor, which is more than tangentially related to the potential progress of that fic. And today's a rough one for me, so I'm going to post about it like it's progress so I might feel a tad better. Ahem.

OKAY. SO. I've been working on a floor plan for Pitch Manor for... pretty much forever and a day. I ran into trouble when I was writing chapter 2 of Haunting and Simon (Construction Worker!Simon) began to describe the house. I realized... I had no idea what he was describing.

(Warning, there is a long winded geeky ramble ahead. It's just how I do things. Ahem.)

What was supposed to be a quick "let's find a floor plan that I can just copy with some minor adjustments" project has since turned into my special interest project. As a history nerd, that means a lot of research, looking at dozens of floor plans for other houses ranging in origination from the 16th century to the 20th (and probably a few older than even that, since a ton of religious buildings were repurposed into estates. Think Downton *Abbey*.)

But this past week, I feel I've really pushed through a lot of the issues I kept running into. (I've ridiculously been trying to make it as true to the descriptions in Carry On as possible, and something that fits the purposes of my fic, which of course I have envisioned in many, sometimes incompatible, ways.) I've had to make some "this or that, you can't have both" choices, but I'm finally happy with the basic shape and layout.

Whew.

Just for funsies, here's a cross section snippet of my floor plan WIP. It's pretty messy still, but I'm still excited LOL

And (finally), instead of six sentences, I will instead offer you all six tidbits of information about Pitch Manor, as I've envisioned it:

There are four (4!) different sitting rooms. Because the aristocracy just loved their sitting rooms. (Parlor, Withdrawing room, Drawing room, and Reception/Receiving room.)

There is a ballroom. Try and stop me.

The original manor house was built in the 17th century, and has been refurbished and updated a few times.

The most extensive refurbishment happened in the 19th century, which is how it gained its current stylings. (Baz is a freaking troll and I love him for it. The most popular architectural style in the Victorian era was "Gothic Revival." "It's not Gothic; it's Victorian." Hah.)

Some rooms were added on during the Victorian refurbishment, including a Smoking room. They were very popular at that time.

The largest room in the house isn't the ballroom. It's the library. (It's two stories. Try and stop me.)

(I do hope to release the floorplans into the fandom wild after they're complete, in case anyone else wants to make use of them.)

Author Ask Tag

So, I got tagged by @hyperions-light a while ago and whoops, wasn't able to answer back then due to a persistant hedache that's been making life miserable. But, I finally managed to get my thoughts in order, so I may as well try to write something for this, huh? I guess I'll fill it out for my current WiP, The Viscount's Bride.

What is the main lesson of your story?

Uh, I'm not entirely sure? The story's still in its early phases, and basically started from a "I just want to make these two fall in love" kind of deal. But so far it's looking like there's at least a little "don't judge a book by it's cover" in there. (Trite, I know, but I haven't written fic or really analyzed writing since 2018, so please give me some grace. <3)

What did you use as inspiration for your world building?

Well, it's a Dragon Age fanfic so uh, it's just the Dragon Age setting in general for the world building. But in terms of the actual story, it started with a bit of East of the Sun, West of the Moon (very, VERY early on) and I discovered while I was actually writing that I was subconsciously drawing on the anime My Happy Marriage. I'm obviously not trying to copy that anime or anything but there is definitely a good deal of inspiration.

Also I've been spending more time than I expected researching life in the Tudor era (since Thedas seems to be closer to Renaissance than "medieval" really, but it's not a one-to-one thing). There's nothing quite like stopping in the middle of a writing session to go research historical bedding or hierarchies of servants in a noble/royal household. And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention getting some inspiration from @curious-happenstance's "Do You Like My Dress? It Has Pockets" fic, which got me excited about diving into putting historical details into my work. (It's a very sweet story, I recommend it!)

What is your MC trying to achieve, and what are you, the writer, trying to achieve with them? So you want to inspire others, teach forgiveness, or help them grow as a person?

I guess in a way I have two protagonists since I do occasionally switch into Varric's POV, so I'll deal with both. Varric quite simply is trying to keep his friends safe while also not being blackmailed into marrying someone he doesn't know. Darvia on the other hand is mostly just trying to not piss anyone off and get herself killed (and also not end up saddled with providing for her crappy parents again.)

How many chapters is your story going to have?

However many it takes to get through this! More than four, but probably less than 100. XD Unless something has gone intensely wrong, that is.

Is it fanfiction or original content? Where do you plan to post it?

It's fanfiction, obviously. I'm definitely planning on posting it on AO3, though other sites are unknown yet. I don't feel like figuring out my old ff.net account again and idk if it would do any numbers on tumblr since most of my posts here do very poorly.

When did you start writing?

Oh god. That's like asking when I started breathing. I know I have school journals from at least 4th grade of my fledgeling attempts at writing, if not even before then. I've been fascinated with stories my whole life and I don't think that will ever stop, though often my own brain gets in the way. (Not sure if it's executive functioning issues or just good old fashioned laziness but it's somewhere in there.)

Do you have any words of encouragement for fellow writers of writeblr?

READ BOOKS. I'm serious. Fanfic is great but sometimes grabbing an actually published, edited book is going to help get those brain wrinkles started again. And challenge yourself with those books sometimes too--you'd be surprised at how much technique you can learn just from reading something that's actually at your reading level or a bit higher. (Aka, as tempting as it is to just read YA forever, sometimes you need something with a bit more meat on it. Like finding a classic that interests you.) Most of all, experience stories of all kinds. Whether it's a good TV show or a comic book or what have you, there's always that wonderful chance it will spark some inspiration that leads to creating something amazing!

Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I do! I like it when my comments are responded to. In my mind if someone took the time to leave a comment I should take the time to respond to a comment. I may not always get to it quickly but I try and get to it eventually. This is especially true when IRL stuff gets crazy like it has been. I have a harder time having the mental energy to respond. But I hate leaving comments unanswered.

Do you write crossovers?

I used to LIVE for crossover stuff. I spent a good solid five years of my early online internet creating whole AUs developed off of the idea of crossovers. One of my favorite was a crossover between Teen Titans, Kingdom Hearts, and Fullmetal Alchemist. None of these were actually written but it was a lot of fun at the time. Now I almost never do crossover stuff because it's hard to keep track of the logistics. XD

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I do not. It's admittedly something I am working on getting better at. Although, time will tell if I actually am able to accomplish this.

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

I don't believe I have.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

I have not.

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Just one! But I have attempted to write two others than never went anywhere.

What's your all-time favourite ship?

Guitarspear aka Adam/Lute. But I also really like Eve/Ahri and Kai'sa/Akali from League of Legends.

What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will?

I have an original story that I'm working on/have been working on for close to 2 years. I've written a few scenes and have a basic outline but I keep going back and forth on exactly how I want to write it.

Additionally there is the issue of MOTIVATION and the fact that I am really the only one hyped for these characters. Although, @deadgirlwalking91 is somewhat interested and that is nice. :)

So hoping I finish it but I really dunno if I will.

What are your writing strengths?

I've been told I capture body language well and am good at repeating themes/patterns.

What are your writing weaknesses?

I tend to be more devoid when it comes to describing environments/scenes. I can picture them so well in my head when I'm writing them that I sometimes forget not everyone can see what I see.

What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to?

I've considered re-writing my first fic Mortality to having Kai'sa/Akali and Eve/Ahri instead of the ships I had when I originally wrote it. So maybe one day I will actually get around to it.

What's your favourite fic that you've written?

I am so, SO proud of Angels Make Mistakes. I learned a lot while writing it and am especially proud of the momentum I had while I was drafting it.

(I would be really happy if I could regain some of that momentum. XD)

I really need to focus on (and finish) some of my WIPs, and that mean trying not to disperse my energy amidst one shots (no matter how much i love monthly challenges and fic exchange events). Also I'm very proud of that 66 count and want to appreciate it xd.

Star wars mostly (Vaderkin or my OC Sinvulkt), then Marvel (Dr Strange), Dream SMP (Dream), Le Visiteur du Future (Renard) and more recently Batman (Bruce Wayne) as well as Avatar: the last airbender (Zuko).

Plus the original stories I am supposed to write but almost never end up doing xd (the engagement in fandom compared to original stories make the switch hard xd).

I'll never know how my Dream SMP fic got so much engagement. Good timing at a moment the fandom was in effervescence, I guess. Scales of Embers scoring so high is also a surprise 0.0. I discovered it had that many kudos today. It’s a shame the Dr Strange fandom is small because I think my Dr Strange WIP What If Doctor Strange Lost His Humanity ? would have deserved a place here. It definitely does in my heart.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I try to! As a reader, I always feel super happy when the author shows that they’ve read and appreciated my comments. I know that personality an author who answers make me more likely to want to drop a comment.

As an author, I absolutely want to show how much I love every single comments, so I try to answer them all. But I get a little overwhelmed sometimes, bcs lots of other stuff going on irl or another reason. As such, it can happen that I don't feel the energy to answer a comment on the spot. And if I don't answer it on the spot (using the power of the wiggy dizzy nice happy feeling of getting a comment), I don't necessarily have the energy to answer later on. I currently have something like 60 unanswered comments I think? TT.TT

But rest assured that whether I answered or not, I absolutely adore and cherish every single ones!! Comments are amazing! ✨️.✨️

(This kind of engagement is one of the only reason I managed to settle into such an active rythm of writing after years of trying then dropping the hobby~)

6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Uhhh... This is a hard question here... Many of them have angsty endings XD

Mostly the ones at the beginning (the worst written ones xd). I wonder why~

I'll say amidst the 'old' fics from 2021, Day 8 - Screaming (Star Wars) would be the angstier one (or most horrible one ig xd).

But as far as recent fic go... While I haven't finished writing it bcs its wordcount exploded in my face, I already plotted / drafted it a few months ago and I know the ending, so I'll choose:

Sometimes I think I wrote too many fics. It's hard to select one.

Uhhh... My fluffiest works are one shots in Of Feathers and Freedom serie, but they are part of the series so it’s not really an 'ending'.

I'll answer for the crackiest story rather than the happiest ending bcs all my finished fics ending are ominous open ending at best xd.

Because it's cute blob drawings of our crazy team of OC in taaoej, and I love them (although we are all angst lovers in taaoej, so it's more crack-angst, and we don't know the ending bcs there isn't really one. Not yet at least. Hopefully never).

8. Do you get hate on your fic?

Just my own innervoice as far as I'm aware. But then I've always been rather clueless when people tried to 'hate on me'. The message usually just got lost somewhere in dreamspace immensity, never computing.

I've found the fandoms communities really welcoming at the very least!!

9. Do you write smut?

No.

I don't really enjoy reading smut. Nor romance for the matter. I don't think I'd enjoy writing it.

But maybe I'll try one day, for the sake of experimenting all genres.

10. Do you write crossovers?

I never did. I don't know why. Maybe I just never felt the need to mix characters and universes. There are amazing crossovers out there though, so who knows, maybe one day I'll try one.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I'm aware of. In all honesty, I don't think my works are nearly popular enough to get stolen xd.

My writing style isn’t that good yet, and my dislike of romance when the majority of the fandom community is ship-powered means I end up in a corner quite niche. (A corner I love, that being said. Yay Crack, Angst and Gen~)

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

No, but maybe I'll translate some of mine in french someday. Be it only so that I do write fiction in my native language from time to time.

I’m still waiting for my co-author @purpleopossum to come back to me / get back in star wars mood to continue that one. 🫠

Can’t say my hopes are that high up after all this time, but it’s the redemption | healing part of the serie and I don’t really have fun writing alone redemption | healing part... i prefer doing the whole mayhem that create the injury in the first place. And with how long some of my fics hiatus are (and I got no excuse for those xd), it’s only fair for me to wait. (I did write more other works for the dragon Vader serie in the meantime xd).

I made an oath to myself to never leave a work unfinished though, so we’ll see. If in several years purple still doesn’t wish to continue it, or if she inform me she is dropping the story, I’ll try to make some kind of ending. It’s part of the game i guess.

Alternatively, the The Amazing Adventures Of Excentrics Jedi universe is a group of star wars OCs that we made together with @pat-the-togorian , @asteral-feileacan , @ct2002-rema and Xylian. I don’t know if that count as co-writing? We usually write our OCs pov.

But in all cases, co-writting is very fun and I’d definitely do it again if other opportunities arise in the future.

14. What‘s your all-time favourite ship?

The absence of ship is my all-time favorite ship. Otherwise, "main character / digging their own grave" would be my 'favorite ship' since I tend to synch with idiots snarky jerks disasters.

Because it's my vent fic. I know the main plot line, I vaguely know the current arc, but no one can predict where the next arc will go. It's all pure impulse and while I have a vague idea of 'ending', I refuse to plan a path towards it. This fic specifically, I want to keep pure impulse. So I'd love for it to become some kind of "The NeverEnding Story". :3

16. What’s your writing strengths?

I write.

No seriously, it's not something I did four years ago appart from vent poems here and there. Writing is in itself a huge writing strenght!

Otherwise I'm also a bottomless well of idea. It's pretty neat.

17. What’s your writing weaknesses?

... romance?

Or dialogues. Lastly I have a lot of frustration around the transition from dialogue / transition / dialogue. I feel like I'm crap at properly timing that.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

It's fun. I do it for games sometimes. Since apparently writing normally is not chllenging enough for my brain sometimes. It did teach me bits of mando'a.

Recently for Sēċan (Star Wars) I decided last minute to put the whole droid dialogue in morse, and I regret none of it.

I'm usually only doing it for one shots though, and never 'official existing' languages until now.

What is your absolute all-time favorite idea you’ve ever had?

Pretty much all three of my main wips, and a lot of my fandom ocs. I'm obsessed with all the ideas my genius brain comes up with. The execution of said ideas... not so much, but we're getting there XD.

Is there a question you’ve been asked in the past that really stands out to you, and you still think about sometimes?

...Not that I can think of, I have terrible memory 😅

What is your favorite part of being a writer? What parts could you take or leave?

I love playing with my characters like dolls and writing descriptive (and sometimes funny) flowery imagery. The editing on the other hand... I could easily leave that behind.

What is your greatest motivation to write/create?

It's like an itch that I need to scratch. If i can't express it and share the joy with others, I'll explode.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever read or been given as a writer?

Cringe is dead, write whatever you want forever. Some practical advice: if you're struggling with getting the words out, try writing sprints or a program that turns writing down words into a game. also try writing while standing up or while using standing desk with a walking pad (i have a standing desk and walking pad and i highly highly recommend, especially for ADHD)

What do you wish you knew when you were first starting out writing?

You have big dreams and huge ideas, which is good... but maybe start smaller? Actually, just write whatever you want while you still have the ability to pump out thousands of words a day... Cringe is dead, be free 12 year old me

What is your favorite story you’ve written to completion? Link it if you’d like and can!

I haven't finished anything in my life, not even any of my fanfictions which are longfics that span entire series/franchises 😅 (all of them are still ongoing)

Which of your characters would you say has the most controversial mindset? Why do you say so, and how do you personally feel about their ideals?

Hmm.... any of the characters from TCIO or Galaxy Destroyer, but especially Nickelle. The morals and motivations are complicated :D

If you, when you first started writing, met you now, what would younger you think?

12 year old me would be a bit confused about the changes I've made to the stories, but excited nonetheless, especially about all the dark stuff (I was a weird child that liked stuff like torture and death and the black plague or egyptian mummification process XD)

I still haven't decided exactly how the ship is gonna work, but I'll try my best to organize my thoughts and explain my ideas so far for you~ I'll even add Akshaya's banner. I need to make one for the ship hahah

Akshaya definitely mets Epel through either Jack or Yuu. They're the two people she sitcks to at first and she's really bad at making friends, so she just tags along with them. One of the times when the 1st year group is together is when she and Epel are introduced, most likely.

They're just acquitances from then on, but at some point Epel helps Akshaya out with something (still undecided, but in the vibe of "catching her before he falls" or "blocking a ball that was gonna hit her"). Either way, Akshaya thinks that was a cool move and tells him "Thank you, you're so cool!" or similar. "Cool" is definitely on the "manly" side of praise (you know, from Epel's basic boy gender norms perspective XDD), so Epel gets all happy about it and boasts a bit.

Akshaya takes more notice of him from then on. She mostly enjoys when he's being "himself" and not meek for Vil. And she genuinely thinks he's cool and manly and all that. Basically, she admires what she lacks (she's so shy and meek). So she tells him. And since Epel likes those kinds of comments and attention, he'd keep showing off for her at the same time.

Little by little they'll get closer and somehow(?) they end up being a couple. I haven't thought that far ahead hahahah

And now, some little things I also have in mind for them or that make me like this ship, in no particular order:

They're a really confusing couple gender-wise. For others, mostly, they each have their own gender clear. But with Epel looking so "cute/femenine" by traditional standards, and Akshaya being more in the non-binary appearance wise, dressing in a really neutral way, it's easy to mistake who is what. And you know what? Too bad, you shouldn't judge people's gender by their appearance anyway~ But yea, I find this kind of thing fun to play with~ Also, Akshaya is 1cm taller than Epel (he'd hate that forever, maybe he'll grow taller than her in a couple of years XD). It's a small difference, so they basically look the same height 😌 It's just cute!

Kula is a bit more sceptical about Epel at first. In the end, he's the most cautelous of the two and his priority is always to keep Akshaya safe. He also doesn't think Epel is as cool as Akshaya does, but mostly just rolls his eyes at her about that hahaha. He warms up to him after, and mostly does not care as long as he makes Akshaya happy. When Akshaya and Epel are having a moment or they spend time together after they become a couple, Kula will either hide himself away inside Akshaya's clothes and sleep, or go to a hidden close-by location and sleep there until they're done. At that point, he trusts Epel, so he has no worries leaving them "alone".

I like to imagine Akshaya tagging along in the Harveston event too. I did a drawing of it for Twistober this year~ But a bit more about it. Akshaya is terrible with the cold, so even if she prepared in advance and put a lot of clothes on the day they go there, she's still cold af. They give her one of the warmest outfits later when they change, and Epel keeps checking on her to make sure she's never too cold. He even will give her his poncho sometimes to help her keep warm 🤭 And well, she'd love the part about making their own little animal plushies to help with the race! She loves cross-stitching the most, but also likes sewing in general. She'll be really happy learning about the tradition and how they're used. She'd make a snake plushie for herself, of course! She'd also be interested on how the traditional outfits they wear are made and probably chat with Epel's grandma about them for a while~ She'd be extremelly awkward around her at first, tho. Akshaya is super shy after all, and she wants to make a good impression on her. But seeing how she's really sweet (usually), and she's similar to her grandson, she'd quickly warm up to her ❤

Also, regarding the song I shared yesterday, I think some of the character developement for Akshaya will come from being close to Epel. With the other 1st years as well, but since she'll end up being closest with Epel, he'd have the most influence. Just how he openly welcomes her, always includes her and is really nice to her. He'll also be patient when she's all shy or can't quite make up her mind about something because of her fears of rejection. i let myself stew with this for a few days because i didn't know what to write XD

so.

my all time favourite moment that i wasn't prepared for was TELL YOUR GUVNOR TELL HIM I'M COMING and, i mean, the whole episode, but it's like we've seen flint be violent and aggressive and we know he's a good fighter but we've not really seen him make a concerted effort and actually marshal troops and carry out an intricate plan and it being allowed to work??!! like he is finally able to use all his grief and anger towards something that makes sense and it's really beautiful. he feels so powerful in that episode to me, the sheer fucking confidence. i tend to pretend season 4 doesn't exist tbh, there's just too much heartache in it, too much in-fighting. but here he's so inspiring and he fucking knows it and in my mind i have this framed and i hope i can remember it forever.

(i think the relationship between flint wanting to protect nassau and rebuild it but never really communicates that vs him communicating it and putting it into practise, ... it's like he feels more alive to me in the season finale? like he's found a way to apply himself and channel his energy. i have spent a lot of time thinking about him wrt shadow work and i think he's one of the few characters who experience their own dark side and integrate the shadow and that is very powerful to me.)

james meeting thomas for the first time. like, the instant chemistry and the sass, this is what it's like to meet people you fall in love with and it's so perfect and i know it's his memory and maybe it wasn't so perfect but it was perfect to james anyway and i love them i love them i love them. i love ships that have this instant chemistry and i love that toby and rupert knew each other and it's so palpable. full marks, no notes.

anne coming home to max in the bath tub and taking off her gear and just sitting beside her. they have so many great moments but this one stands out to me for its ordinariness and domesticity i think. it's so quiet.

anne emerging from the water to take over a ship. fucking hell! i wish the actor who played her was in more things but also i think after playing anne bonny like this you probably might as well retire. love anne leading her people and i'd absolutely want to see more of her fighting and pirating and i love her so much.

flint murdering gates. i have a whole fascination with the intimacy of murder and they did this beautifully. i love that we understand exactly why it is happening (and i'd argue that gates should have seen this coming) and why it's a heartache and still we want to prevent it. like, it's perfect, you know. as far as murders go, it shows you each aspect exactly and you are left powerless. and i loved how much it represents a moral event horizon situation and is it possible to come back from it, and of course it's silver who even attempts to do it. it's rare in drama that a scene feels so utterly in-character for everyone and is so heartbreaking as well. excellent stuff.

2. What's your total A03 word count?

67,866 words (woah! More than I realized!)

3. What fandoms do you write for?

I write primarily for Star Wars, but also write for Harry Potter, Hunger Games, and believe it or not, the Simpsons! Sideshow Bob sparked something in my bestie and I that kicked off a year of non-stop Google Doc sharing and squee comments on each other's works XD

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I sure do! I always try to respond with a least a "omg thank you!!!" or something of the like to show my appreciation. I wish I could go more in-depth for them all, and I do for the really long ones, but I end up not always having the time or energy to pay each comment the response it deserves. As always, thank you to everyone who has commented on my stuff!

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

It's actually one I haven't posted yet (nor finished, and that's one I def want to be done before I post it). To give you context without too many spoilers, basically it's an alternate ending to ROTJ in which Vader doesn't die...but Luke does. I've been writing it on and off since my freshman year of high school and am excited about it, but damn, it's so hard to write because it makes me so sad!

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Probably Grounded! That was the first one I ever posted (during my first week of senior year of high school!) I feel like that one wrapped up nicely.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Once in a great while. Most of the hate comments I receive are digs on my characterization of Vader. One time I got a negative comment on a oneshot that I specified was part of a larger story I would recommend reading beforehand, and the commenter didn't understand why Vader was written the way he was, when in actuality, it had a lot to do with his development in the larger story. That one was a detailed hate comment and was hard to shake, but I'm learning how to let them roll off my back.

On a side note, this is partly why I don't ask for constructive criticism; I have OCD and fixate on even little comments people make that could possibly be construed as negative, real life included. I'm working on how to let them go and look at the facts before I run off with some wild tale about how someone hates me for sure. I'm growing and learning how to manage, but like I said in my AO3 A/Ns, OCD is a bitch ;)

9. Do you write smut?

Sure do XD It's pretty much all Skysolo (which you will see in an upcoming Skysolo story I'm almost done with *wink wink* ;))

10. Do you write crossovers?

I haven't before, but I'm entertaining the idea of some kind of Star Wars/Harry Potter type thing. To be completely honest, it's inspired by the Sims I made in Sims 4 lol XD. I had my HP Sims meet my Star Wars Sims and it was so funny to see how they all interacted. Luna immediately grabbed a book off of Leia's bookshelf, Anakin began cooking dinner, and Harry and Luke were talking privately in a separate room from the group- I like to imagine they were talking about how hard it is to be "the hero" and have the world literally depending on you. If I do end up writing this, I'll be sure to post XD *cue Spongebob's "when worlds collide" lol*

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of, so hopefully that answer is no.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

No, but would be open to working with someone to translate!

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Yes! Nothing I've posted, but I co-write Simpsons stuff with my real life bestie. Sideshow Bob has us in a chokehold XD

14. What's your all-time favourite ship?

I love Skysolo and always will, but I think Finnick and Annie from Hunger Games takes the cake for me. I could go on, but the way they've both been through similar trauma and care for one another gets me big time. And Finnick is one of my all-time favorite characters, so I'm a little bias XD

15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Tbh, both of my Whumptobers lol. I bit off more than I could chew both years between that and school, work, life. Hopefully I'll plan a little better this year and will be able to finish!

16. What are your writing strengths?

I think I write hurt/comfort well, and it sounds weird, but I write crying pretty well too lol. I think I'm getting better at imagery and sentence structure too.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I struggle with writing action, and I tend to write run-on sentences. I'm hoping to work on this for future fics!

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I haven't done this personally, but I have a lot of respect for others who do. I think it's wild people can speak a whole other language period, but using that language in all its differences stylistically to tell a story? Absolutley amazing.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Hunger Games! I wrote Finnick becoming like a big brother for Prim after the war (flash back to me furiously typing out hurt/comfort scenes on my ipod notes in middle school LOL XD)

20. Favourite fic you've ever written?

I have a special place in my heart for Convalescence; I live for that kind of hurt/comfort and angst, and I'm excited to finish it.
