Taking one half step, then another, Laito had cut off any means of escape forward for them. If they wanted a chase to begin, hopefully they could retrace their steps from here.

Then came an outstretched hand, the heel of it rested against her collarbone as he began to finger the collar around her throat with one chilled, slender digit, subtly manoeuvring the fabric until the tiniest bit of its clasp peaked out from behind her hair.
