endgame - spring ‘25 (the final semester) ~30.01

ok. it's been a while since I created this studyblr. 3 unfinished drafts, 3 weeks of my final semester later, I finally got the courage to start this blog (and semester).

ok. lemme give y’all some context since this is my first post (I'll make an introduction post soon). I am currently a 5th year BS-MS physics major in IISER Bhopal Bhauri. The final year usually involves students just working on their master's thesis. But sadly, physics majors in our college have 2 courses along with it in each semester. I am currently working on 21 cm cosmology under the supervision of Dr. Rajib Saha, and I haven't made much progress as of now. But anyways, I have 4 courses this semester and need to get my thesis done if I need to make it out of Bhopal (Texas). SO, ITS TIME FOR ACTION:

ACTION PLAN FOR CURRENT WEEK (ik the week is getting over but doesn't matter):

Current Status:

I've missed a lot of classes until now so I must go to every class from now onwards (fucking mandatory 75% attendance).

Setup a daily system for studying and revision.

Get up to speed with everything that has happened till now.

Start working on my thesis and have a discussion and progress update every weekday with Dr. Rajib Saha.

Komiket BGC 05.02~04.2025

3rd convention of the year for my artist endeavors ! This one, we luckily got in as me and Toya applied both for more chances. After PoTA Women's I immediately received a confirmation of our slot for Komiket BGC. It was a first time in a while since 2019 where I got in and handled the documentation and event reminders.

This time, I have even more confidence in creating merch both for original works and fanworks.

Socmed announcement for OC introduction Elio collection, Persona 3 photocards and acrylic vinyl charm, and Persona 3 and Green Yuri x Sanrio collaboration inspired stamp rally prizes !

This is also surprisingly my first open mall booth ( in which in my experience, was overstimulating. ) I feel more tired than usual so I ended up not interacting as much unlike the first two conventions I tabled at. I don't look at it negatively but it was experience and I now know my limits at tabling at events.

New setup which I am loving! I need to buy more of this panel so I can sleep / work under the free space.

Built a mini shrine for my comfort corner as more people were passing by and the event nearing it's end.

What made me excited about this komiket is that I am part of 2 stamp rallies ! 1 is for Persona which Toya found and our own Green Yuri stamp rally. The green yuri was fun to make as it's not the usual green yuri kind and we took inspiration from the Green Yuri x Sanrio Tower Records collab.

I had a hard time choosing what to make but these came out so well. Opened and kept a pair for myself and the remaining stocks will be sold at future conventions.

So proud of these! The art and UI of the persona games improved my art and layout, I think!

New merchandise designs / New illustrations

With new conventions, comes new merchandise / illustrations huhu.

I had such a grand plan with new merchandise but had to cut it to those which I can actually make. It was supposed to be OC x Elio introduction x other OCs as postmen in Elio's story, Persona 3 collection works, and Love & Deepspace. This proved to be challenging and it summarized down to Elio introduction and Persona 3 merchandise. Which was still half of the original plan. But nevertheless, creating this much artwork is a feat for me especially when they were mostly made a week before the event.

Unfortunately could not make the clear sticker sheet but I was happy enough to start the collection with this illustration as an acrylic.

Decided to create a photocard collection because I thought it would be cute, and because there are certain characters which I don't see often like Ryoji and Shinjiro. ( Mainly because of Ryoji, but you didn't know that. ) Will most definitely be adding more characters !

I'm sick, so we talk about sickness/addiction in ttrpg today. But just in short, my head takes like 2d6 of brain damage every minute.

Some systems have illness/sickness/addiction sections commonly found in the game master section and or book. Pathfinder1e has a whole list of these kinds of stuff, which ranges from kinda harmless effects to, well, literally death. Pathfinder also has different levels of addiction, which all decrease some ability scores and lead to, who would have thought: death!

But, less about Pathfinder, more about Fallout 2d20, because the way Fallout 2d20 handled with diseases is way more easier and on point, in my opinion of course. There are several situations, where your character needs to make a save against getting a disease. But, the negative effects, in case you failed your save, occurs at the start of the next day, after the GM rolled on a d20 list (man, Fallout 2d20 looooves xd20 lists and so do I). After that the duration timer sets in. The PC can roll another save, take antibiotics, seek help, etc. All of these actions reduce the duration by 1. Once the duration hits 0, the PC is cured. While the PC has a disease however, the PC suffers 1 Fatigue. You can also suffer by Fatigue, if you don't eat, drink, sleep enough or even well enough, or are exposed to harsh weather. So Fatigue can add up way to quick and can lead to, you guessed right: death! weee

Short one on addictions in Fallout: like in Pathfinder 1e, every drug has it's own addiciton effect. But there are no level of addictions which add up, only the different effects stack on top of each other.

(I don't know, what I tried to say with this post.. too much brain damage. Back to sleep!)

P.S. to my lovely GM partners in crime: Don't tell the PC, which disease/addiction triggered. Just tell them that they don't feel so good and some possible symptoms. Let the panic rise in the eyes of your player.

The American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) is a scientific and technical organization that develops and publishes voluntary standards on the characteristics and performance of materials, products, systems, and services. The standards published by the ASTM include test procedures for determining or verifying characteristics, such as chemical composition, and measuring performance, such as tensile strength and bending properties. The standards cover refined materials, such as steel, and basic products, such as machinery and fabricated equipment. The standards are developed by committees drawn from a broad spectrum of professional, industrial, and commercial interests. Many of the standards are made mandatory by reference in applicable piping codes.

The ASTM standards are published in a set of 67 volumes. Each volume is published annually to incorporate new standards and revisions to existing standards and to delete obsolete standards. Listed here are the 67 volumes, divided among 16 sections, published by the ASTM.
