100 Berry Baby Challenge: Gen 1: Part 3

My hypothesis is that the aliens don't receive the weak bloodline trait because they could truly never use it themselves, as the alien occult it the only one you can't change; you can't transform into a regular sim and then become a spell-caster. I'm still annoyed though, because it could have benefitted their future children. I don't like that you could have an alien descended from an ancient spell-caster bloodline and not have that trait to pass down to their own descendants.

Anyways, enough of my speculation. Plumeria finally aged up into a teen! Which I am very excited about. Before she aged up, she completed the Creative Genius aspiration and got the Idea Person reward trait, so I'm curious to see how much it will benefit her. Shortcake and Gecko are both children, and Watermelon is a toddler, meaning Rosewood and Rattlesnake have actually gotten a little stress relief.

Barty- the definition of torture. Literally makes them suffer in every way the game allows, including murder mods. He also has wicked whims installed for his sim and his little Evan sim to use right on top of his crime scenes

Evan- tortures them but in a different way. He sets up multiple rooms, one sim each. And it's a test. Who can survive the longest. Each room includes one way to die. The last sim standing gets to live

Sirius- lives out his rockstar dreams via sim. Secretly makes wolfstar for his sims, but not without drama. His sim is a player that's banged half the town, until he unexpectedly falls in love with a werewolf he met in a bar

James- makes all his friends as sims. Makes wolfstar happen bc he's their number one shipper. (He also makes jegulus happen but hides it from sirius bc even just in a game, he knows sirius would chase him down)

Regulus- makes a sim of himself and takes over the spellcaster world, vampire world, and is working his way to control the werewolves next. Why? Bc he can

Remus- simply just plays the game. As intended. He lives out a calm little life with sirius where he's not a werewolf

Lily- 100 baby challenge. Now don't twist this into something let me explain. I think she would love a challenge, plus I think Lily likes kids. So doing a sim based challenge sounds right up her alley. And she'd succeed ofc. She'd learn all the tips and trick and have to completed within the month. And once she's done with that, she'd move on to a legacy challenge

Marlene- runs a crime mafia with a little sim dorcas at her side. She fights every sim who looks at her wrong and wins

Dorcas- doesn't play the game alone, instead she does download a fuck ton of cc and helps marlene with her mafia empire

Peter- plays the game as intended. Has a little cottage where he grows plants and sells them

Pandora- lures in townies with her kindness and them traps them in the basement of her house, never to be seen again. She experiments on them ofc, and when they can't handle it anymore they simply perish

Mary- maxes out every career in the game for fun. She has one sim and that sim has taken over the business world in every sense. She owns a 5 star restaurant, is a famous celebrity, and she's the best politician the sims world has ever seen

juliette (right) and her sister, kaitlynn (left), finally got to catch up! (that's baby nicola). unfortunately, juliette has a much longer lifespan due to being a spellcaster, and almost all of her siblings are dead. kaitlynn is also a spellcaster, but she aged up to an elder just a week later. being born in a 100 baby challenge must be pretty traumatizing if you think about it.

🍓Introduction

The 100 Berry Baby Challenge is a colorful twist on the original 100 Baby Challenge. The goal is to have 100 babies, but over 10 generations of family gameplay. This style of challenge is great for any simmer looking to for more family-style game play, whether you use berry sims or not!

🍓 Rules

The originally TS4 100 Baby Challenge rules are by SnarkySims. The rules I am following have been adapted for berry sweet sims by Tainoodles and can be found here.

🍓 History

I started playing this challenge in 2020. Originally developed for Youtube (playlist here), I found that it was hard for me to stay on top of producing and editing high quality videos. I have also posted bits of the challenge on Instagram, though inconsistently. My goal is to reboot the challenge from the beginning here, meaning I already have THREE YEARS of content to add to the queue. I want the challenge to have a singular home, both so I can look back on it and so that others can enjoy it, too.

🍓 Road Map

This is my roadmap for the challenge. Feel free to adopt or adapt it if you plan to do the challenge on your own!

YELLOW- My founder Sim is a yellow sim. Every generation's heir will have to inherit a yellow skin tone in order to be eligible to carry on the family.

PURPLE- This is the first generation spouse's color. This generation will be themed around desserts, meaning all of my sims will have dessert-themed names. The heir must inherit purple eyes and purple hair.

TEAL- The second generation will be the teal generation, and will be themed around crystals and stones. This generation emphasizes eco-living. The heir must inherit Teal eyes and Teal hair.

PINK- The third generation will be the pink generation, and will be themed around fruits and berries. The heir must inherit pink hair and pink eyes.

ORANGE- The fourth generation will be the orange generation, and will be themed around teas and spices. This generation also has a heavy emphasis on Spellcasters. The heir must inherit orange hair and eyes.

WHITE- The fifth generation will be the white generation, and will be themed around winter. This generation will live in Mt. Komorebi and incorporate winter sports. The heir must inherit white hair and white eyes.

RED- The sixth generation will be the red generation, and will be themed around music. This generation will incorporate werewolves. The heir must inherit red hair and red eyes.

PLUM- The seventh generation will be the plum generation, and will have a spooky theme. This generation will incorporate vampires. The heir must inherit plum-colored hair and plum-colored eyes.

GREEN- The eighth generation will be the green generation, and will have a garden theme. This generation will live simply off the land. The heir must inherit green hair and green eyes.

BLUE- The ninth generation will be the blue generation, and will have a ocean theme. This generation will take place in Sulani and incorporate mermaids. The heir must inherit blue eyes and blue hair.

PEACH- The tenth generation will be the peach generation, and will have a fabric and sewing theme. This generation will focus around traveling the world. After this, the challenge is complete!

Chapter 8

As April drew to a close, Bus continued to swear they took their pill when actually they sat down to knit.

Stray dogs began letting themselves into the house despite locked doors and Bus had a baby delivered by a ghost.

Things were starting to get a little weird. Like a glitch in the matrix or the simulation breaking down. So Bus decided to lean into it.

Wolfgang had been a bit sappy and boring lately. Bus convinced him he might enjoy a trip to Moonwood Mill before they pack up and move to a larger property. Why? Oh, no reason.

Bus was already at 20-odd kids, so may as well.

This is NOT the official 100 babies challenge as I didn't follow a lot of the rules, but I will use the tag incase people block it. (LMK if this isn't the right choice.) The primary hybrid was Spellcaster (Bus) and Werewolf (Wolfgang) but there are some others mixed in later on.

Here is a bit of a clusterfuck of Family Life while I merge some posts together and try to reformat things

Suffice to say, Wolfgang's mean spiritedness shone through and the Grim Reaper gave up leaving and just hung around for a few weeks there

Bus learned, with great disappointment, that they could not burn someone to death with immolate. The maid was rude about Wolfgang being a Werewolf and needed to die, obviously,

Some of the first children to move out began showing up at least once a day, either to cook on the BBQ and occasionally burn to death, or to get in a fight with Wolfgang.

Wolfgang actually stepped up for the earlier stages of life, while Bus was off working interior decorator jobs. Many clients had houses full of toddlers thanks to the household limits. Sometimes they wouldn't leave with the client and would just hangout outside while Bus worked, doing their own redecorating.

Father winter also burned to death, I believe that may have been the second time in a row but can't confirm.

One of the twin boys kicked the outside bin and died of rage right in front of his brother... who in his sadness decided to fix the refrigerator, got electrocuted and also died.

A neighbour also rang the doorbell and then starved to death on the front lawn. Is this why everyone uses the bbq? Does nobody else have food?

100 Berry Baby Challenge: Gen 1: Part 2

Gecko aged up into a toddler! He is, in fact, a spellcaster. Rattlesnake and Rosewood had another baby after him, a little alien girl named Watermelon. She's going to be the last baby until Plumeria moves out, because I made the unwise decision to adopt two dogs. I don't regret it at the moment, because honestly a little break from babies would be nice.

Something I noticed is that Plumeria and Watermelon, both aliens, don't have the weak bloodline trait. I don't know if that's an oversight by the Sims team or a glitch, because all offspring of spellcasters are supposed to have a bloodline trait, even if they aren't spellcasters themselves. I've always gotten those traits before, even if I ended up with a normal sim or a vampire baby. Idk, I'll have to research and see if I can find out anything about it.

In the second collage, the first picture is of Shortcake as a toddler. The second column is of Gecko as an infant and a toddler. The third is Watermelon as a infant and her disguise. The last is Plumeria as a child and her disguise below.

OCCULT BABY CHALLENGE

I'm not the original creator of this challenge. I've just slightly amended the rules for my own take on this challenge.

Occult Baby Challenge (modified version that's subject to change)

Objective: Have a child with each type of occult sim & raise them successfully to young adults by completing each of their side quests

Rules

Lifespan is set to long

Aging up rules work like 100 baby challenge up until teenhood - Newborn: 2 Days - Infants: 3 milestones in each category (except life) - Toddler: Level 3 in all skills - Child: A in school + level 10 in one skill

Teens can age up early if they happen to finish their side quests before their birthday  - The occult child may not move out until they’ve completed all of their side quests

If matriarch doesn’t have an occult baby, they must keep trying until they do get one - This also includes if occult child dies prematurely, then the matriarch must start over and have another child of that same occult  - All regular (non-occult) children will age up the same as the others, except when they’re teens, they can move out once they get an A in school

Matriarch / Main Character - Must be YA when starting - Any traits or genders are allowed (must be able to get pregnant though) - Must live on same plot of land for the entire challenge - Must work from home (like the 100 baby challenge) - Starting funds at $0
