Charlie gushes on her guardians for one more minute before moving close to where her dad was seated on the couch.

Charlie: You okay, dad?

Alastor has disappeared, probably in the kitchen making her dad tea.

Lucifer doesn't answer any of them again. Instead, he looks on to the Heaven shaped planet in the sky.

He should've known Alastor will see right through him. Smiling prick.

The faint ringing in his ears is getting louder. He can't ignore it for long.

He stands and dusts himself off.

That stopped the talking atleast.

Lucifer: I need to talk to Michael and I'm pretty sure he's not going to come down here. And no, I am not going to take anyone with me. It's too dangerous, Charlie. Don't worry, he's not gonna kill me up there. Just… I promise I'll explain what I can after but right now… I need to go

He can see the Sins about to argue again but he gave them the softest look he can muster and it did the trick because they all clammed up.

Lucifer: Do you trust me?

The look they give him makes him reminiscent the beginning. A time of nothing and all he had was Lilith and the newly born Sins. He sometimes forgets that they were still a lot younger than him and for a long time, he was all they got.

Satan: Of course.

He hopes the smile he gives them is reassuring enough. They melt into his hold as he rans a hand through their faces to cup them.

Lucifer: Good. Take care of my daughter and Hell, okay?

Finally appraoching Charlie and her friends, he draws small pentagrams that embedded themselves unto their skins.

Lucifer: These will act as a ward to anything that poses as a danger to you. Consider it a gift from me.

He locks eyes with Alastor and they form a silent agreement.

His deer takes his hand and bends down to kiss it.

Alastor: With my soul, my love.

Lucifer smiles and suddenly a golden flurry engulfs him, tranforming him back to what he originally looked like before Roo.

When Leviathan gave him a look, he waves in dismissal.

Lucifer: I don't need Michael or Heaven knowing about all this mess. As far as they're concerned, Roo never happened.

He calls upon Keekee, who turned into a key to open a golden portal. Vaggie can see that wherever he opened it, it wasn't the pearly gates of Heaven. It looked like… a room? And since when was Lucifer allowed to open any door in Heaven on his own? This is all suspicious if you ask her. But she bites her tongue.

Before the King could step in, he was grabbed by the arm. He looks back to see his daughter having a tight grip on his wrist.

Lucifer: Char-char?

Charlie: Come back, dad. Okay?

He wishes he just lived a normal life with his beloved little girl.

Lucifer: Promise…. Love you.

Overview:

Origins: The Isle of Woe, Research Facility S.T.Y.X. - Project: Ignihyde

Disease X-2579, or Gene X. Feasts on those with weak magic and immune systems, sucking them dry and using their corpse as a vessel. Not natural born disease, man-made. By Dr. Shroud and his team of researchers so obsessed with the dead.

After the outbreak, Dr. Shroud went completely missing, and no one can find where he is, much less end the rising of those with Gene X Parasite, also known as Zombies or Shades, which S.T.Y.X referred to them as.

You consider yourself put together, even after the world went to hell. You lived alone, secluded, far, far away from anyone and everyone. With no one but you and your beloved cat friend that you saved a year ago. You live in a small house, with a garden and a well-made fence, and an old pickup truck that amazingly still worked.

You haven’t had interaction with another human in months, and you would like to keep it that way. Yet fate has other plans.

The SavannaClaw Raiders, a group of mercenaries that are constantly on the move and hunt for anything and everything, to raid and pillage. A pack of wild animals that you had the very unfortunate fate of running into. Jack Howl, a lone wolf that stumbled across your home, and in exchange for food and water, the mercenaries would never know about you. So you agreed, yet it wasn’t mercenaries you had to worry about. Jack had unknowingly led a group of shades to your home. Forcing you on the run, with very little to survive.

Information:

Gene X ~ A parasite that finds its victims with low levels of magic and feasts on their magic power, before eating at their flesh from the inside out, before using them as a puppet to find more victims. They’re asexual reproductive parasites and can grow in the 10000s in one singular body. The higher one’s magic power and skill, the harder it is for the parasite to take over.

Zombies or Shades ~ The undead, it feasts on human flesh as a way of transferring the parasite. They have a hive-like mind, and unlike that singular, once-in-a-group, Gene X parasites grow in intelligence.

NRC ~ Night Raven City, a slum city on a remote island, once a school, but now a place of dangerous activities. Sickness and Gene X outbreaks are common, with a strong anti-shade force, known as the Octavinelle.

RSA ~ Royal Sword Association, a group of high-standing officials, in charge of finding a cure and attempting to restore what once was. They have had little to no success.

NBC ~ Noble Bell City, a highly gated city, that’s extremely protected and one of the safest places within the world, yet few can get in, and most die on the journey there.

~ Territory: Queendom of Roses

Heavily militaristic location. One built on heavy order and control. As well as being extremely isolated, they rarely leave their large island, and have a total of one ever major outbreak, but as has been completely dealt with and have not had one since.

SavannaClaw:

~ Territory: Sunset Savanna

Mercenaries. Due to the large size of the Sunset Savanna, it was by far too late to create proper order and the outbreak went quickly, taking several lives and creating large pockets.

Octavinelle:

~ Territory: NRC

Anti-Shade force located within NRC. They’re a shady business and often create chaos, to simply control the chaos. It’s unsafe within their care. Some say they do experiments on the innocent to find a cure.

Scarabia:

~ Territory: Scalding Sands

Hot deserts. Which is heavily overrun, due to its remote location, many people fled and run there for safety. It’s unsafe, yet an extremely kind place.

Pomefiore:

~ Territory: Shaftlands

A large town, surrounded by gigantic stone walls, it is almost beautiful in a scary way. There is no room for error and those who mess up will be immediately killed. Rumors say that the leader of Pomefiore has a Gene X parasite. Nothing is confirmed.

Ignhyde:

~ Territory: Isle of Woe

Some say that you’ll see glimpses of them and that they aren’t truly dead. Many believed that Dr. Shroud is simply running a horrible experiment and truly has a cure. Does he?

Diasomnia:

~ Territory: Briar Valley

Secluded and Dark. Nothing is known about Briar Valley or Diasomnia.

The engine roars loudly, and you hate it. Despise the loudness that drew your attention within the dead of night. The road collapsed and crumbled, causing your old pickup truck to bounce and jolt, shaking you around carelessly as you drove through the dark. Your window rolled down just slightly to hear anything. The shades weren’t good in the dark, but sound, they excelled at it well. They couldn’t smell human flesh, but they could easily camouflage with your very surroundings until you were completely trapped.

You hear a familiar set of groans, and you slam the brakes, lurching forward, your chest slamming into the wheel. You move quickly, turning off the engine and falling completely silent, counting your very breaths. It is silent. You can hear the rush of wind, and the sounds of crickets chirping. It’s loud.

As long as you remained calm, you’ll be alright. You shift in your seat, hand grabbing a longer blade, climbing till your back was to the wheel and your feet on the old seat cushions. They come from the back, never the front. You hear the groans grow closer, there’s only one, and you shudder at the soft wind. You can hardly see. Your tongue licks your dry lips, fluttering your eyes closed, trying to stop the pounding of your heart.

You hear the sound of something hitting the back of your truck, and your eyes fly open. Were your doors locked? If there’s more than one, they can open your doors, they could get inside. You’ll die.

Your car door side was, you know it was, yet the door on the passenger side wasn’t. You squint and you can see the gray notch upward, showing that it was indeed unlocked. Who unlocked your door? You hear a breathy inhale, like someone with their mouth permanently open and like they had several holes punched in their lungs.

The sound came from that side.

Lowering yourself, your crawl slowly along the old seats, feeling sweat gather on your brow. Another groan, louder, attentive. Like it knew you were there.

Another bang, harder than before that shook the truck. You want to cry. To beg it to leave, but if it hears you…. You’ll die. But as long as you remain quiet, you’ll be fine. Your fingers slide against the leathery plastic side of the door, feeling blindly for the lock. With another bang, nearly pushing the truck up on its side, you slid back, in your panic your feet hit the driver's side door to keep yourself from falling back. Your feet hit the inside of the with a loud thud, and your heart drops.

A shrill scream echoes, one that hurts your ears and you grunt, flying to lock the passenger side door. Caring not to remain quiet. A loud thunk follows as the stick slips into the door, locking it.

This shriek sets off a chain reaction. You had been surrounded. You hear bodies slam and push at your truck, ripping at the metal, trying to yank the heavy truck over. Your body tumbles, as your grip the seats to keep balance, looking out the seat windows and seeing deformed, grotesque faces, some missing teeth and eyes, dried blood and mucus covering their grey faces, as they shriek, dirty hands pounding and clawing at your window.

They know you're inside.

You can hear them climb onto your truck, hitting the back windows, screaming and screaming. You desperately look for an exit, desperately looking for a way out. They come from the back, never the front. You lunge forward, ramming your body into the windshield, which shatters in a matter of seconds, and you tumble over the hood in a matter of seconds. Ignoring the glass that cut your skin and ripped your clothing, you land on your stomach, knocking the wind from your lungs, but they don’t seem and notice you. Still determined to break into your truck. You can’t outrun a Shade, so your slip underneath the truck, ignoring the rocking swaying motions that seemed to shake the very ground. You cover your mouth, stifling your panting and tears that threatened to fall and lying still on your stomach.

They would get bored eventually….

Hello! Sorry I'm answering late to this, had a busy week.

Sooo I suppose this is about modern Hange's daily life! I haven't really thought of modern AU in general but this sounds fun, especially because now that you mention she would have loads of games on her iPad I have to mention the ONE headcanon I read about a while ago, that has stuck with me forever. That one headcanon is the absolute truth to me. I'm so sad I can't credit it properly because I don't remember who posted it, but that genius of a fellow Tumblr user pointed out Hange would have this song set as default tone for her mobile. And honestly, I can't unsee this lol

Anyway, this one wasn't mine, so have some of my own:

(using she/her pronouns since the ask uses these)

- Her laptop's desktop is a mess. She "loses" folders or documents once or twice a week. "Leviii I swear I did nothing! Nothing at all! They just keep disappearing, I didn't even click on anything"

- She goes to bed at ungodly hours, but despite the lack of sleep she does not have even the slightest hint of eyebags. Lucky one.

- Yes, iPad with 1000 games but only uses two or three. She still plays Fruit Ninja. One of her favorites is Among Us, especially when she gets impostor. She does get caught most of the times though, because she's too impatient and ends up being uhm not-so-stealthy.

- Oh and she definitely plays Pokemon Go. Opens it once a year really, but she never ever got rid of the app on her phone.

- Sings in the shower. She's definitely not a good singer, yells too much and is constantly out of tune.

- Do not ever look at her YouTube playlist. Most random videos on that. You can find silly songs such as Narwhal, Dewgong and Capibara, and then a bunch of random science videos. Has watched videos about how Romans pooped and Roman baths like a hundred times. Her favorite YouTube thing is still the llama Carl though.

- Has a lot of plants in the house but they're all dead or about to die. She has a little plant that somehow has managed to survive and sticks with her. She talks to the plant as if it was a pet.

- She will never admit it to Levi, but when she does not want to do the dishes, she eats straight out of the pan.

- Wouldn't be bad at cooking, but lacks the patience for elaborate dishes. Ends up cooking very quick things and eats a lot of pasta with different sauces because that's quick. She also has it al dente, not because she knows that's how it should be done, but because it's quicker.

- Can't stand when it's hot in summer and strolls around the house with just her panties on. The neighbors on the opposite building have seen her naked through the windows more than once. She just does not bother to pull the curtains.

- Sleeps on her back most of the times and snores a lot.

- Her natural time to wake up in the morning is around 11 am. Before that, she can wake up but feels extremely groggy.

- Owns plushies. But not teddy bears and common stuff. She has an axolotl plushie, a kiwi bird plushie, a dodo and a platypus.

- She has this thing to go the beach or the pool. She loves it.

do you know any theories about the actual age of the nine houses or something like that? because I have a feeling in 10000 years a lot more stuff would've happened technologically or culturally. and even if John slowed progress down in the nine houses somehow, the other planets also still have a very earthlike society, sure they forgot the original meaning of Eminem lyrics, but tenthousand years ago people invented sedentary lifestyle, we dont even know half the literature written 2000 years ago (the protagonists of GtN are also able to read everything they come across in Canaan house). I could imagine John just lied to the nine houses maybe/probably even to the Lyctors, maybe implanted them memories of an additional 8000 years, I cant remember if the Lyctors give any numbers as to how long they know John. What I'm pretty sure of though is that BoE never talks about how long they or the Empire existed.

It could also be that Tamsyn Muir just glossed over this, chose a random number (the same age the Empire in Dune is said to be), sure we notice a lot of connections and references, but sometimes I feel like some aspects of the worldbuilding she wasnt as meticulous with. But maybe it would connect nicely to some other theories or fannons, so I figured I'd share.

ok this is FASCINATING and something that I have considered, but I can't believe it without finding a potential motive for why he would do it? i just don't know why he would want to do that. (and also, I think BOE would 1000% include it as an anti-House propaganda talking point, and they don't) BUT he has shown he can alter memories... so........ it could be!!

my honest thoughts about the time span tho is i think this is a Rule Of Cool thing. if it was JUST the 9 houses, and we didn't know anything about BOE/outside of system stuff, i could believe TM is going for something like "John froze the Houses as culturally static for reasons as yet to be revealed". this could make sense because we already know John can freeze people and objects and thanergetic decay, so why not culture as well? among other things, this can make the system easier to govern and make sure his memes stay at least partyway #relatable

the only problem with that, and why I don't think that's what is going on, is exactly what you said: BOE still remembers Eminem lyrics. They have technology that is, even if it is made from different materials, at least recognizable to the 9th houses and their people do not seem to be like, visually distinguishable from the 9 houses. They appear to wear relatively similar clothing even! BOE is outside his domain, which means the universe TLT is in is just Like That.

Same for how like, there is no WAY that after 10k years, the different PLANETS of the 9 houses would still have a common language and cultural overlap enough to like. easily connect and laugh at each others jokes, etc. like take the cultural difference between the AUS and USA interpretations of the word "fanny" and then multiply it exponentially.

i do not think this is a problem however. 10,000 is a cool number, and "myriad" is so much swankier than "millennia", and I think that writing a speculative sci fi book about 10k years from now is not what TM set out to do. i think it's all a fancy set piece & drapery for the core, emotional and character story she is trying to tell

ok so @m3wllo asked me about my ocs. trust me guys im not going insane tumblr cant recover deleted drafts anyways. heres the gist of what was in that before before i in the true fashion of fate deleted it:

i was originally going to make an artwork for them but i realized it was just easier to tell you about them. also i dont know how to tell yuo this but whatever ocs i couldve conceived of in the past. weeks or years are all just vague concepts in my head not fully fleshed out. abyways

so first im thinking of a mysterious shopkeeper who has pretty rare and valuable items, im talking fairies, dragon parts, the most potent ingredients for elixrs and/or food, and with totk maybe even bombs or arrows. i dont want to have them sell elixrs outright because id want that for Another shopkeeper oc who sells (you guessed it) elixrs and food. that shopkeeper would also have a feature where they make custom food based on they players/links inputs/suggestions (like the custom tunes in ACNH). as far as im aware loz doesnt have many nonhylian shopkeepers, so to break stereotyping/tropes i think this shopkeeper would be a goron. in my concept sketches i rushed of them i thought about giving them a mask like in past entries! no idea what it would do besides add to the mystery, or what mask it would be of (in the art i made it an unnamed zonai mask) but i would still like to have masks with Actual Abilities in botw, even if its a pipe dream.

so yknow how botw has champions. what if. monster champion. botw or totk doesnt have friendly monsters like in past entries (well. they have Masks for it but it doesnt let you do anything besides have them not attack you. ycant even talk to them, which is what i mean here. they cant give you items or nothing) which is a shame because it wouldve been really cool to have!! so hypothetically, what if i were to retcon that and just add friendly monsters. secret monster village near skull lake or the breach of demise. while it would be funny for the champion to be a keese or something i personally think theyd be a lynel. with totk out they could also be a gleeok or one of the boss monsters (COLDGERA CHAMPION……. COULD YOU IMAGINE). this may or may not have come from an unnamed botw au i have but shh. also speaking of which what if lynels were fused with other animals. like yknow how theyre centaurs with horse(?????) genes? what if they had goat genes, or deer genes, or any genes of an animal within That Realm of Animal? giraffe genes. CAMEL GENES FOR THE GERUDO DESERT. this also came from that au

friendly yiga ocs. i would like friendly yiga ocs. by friendly i still meant they commit violent crimes its just not murder this time (i mean. if you hc hard enough you could argue that the yiga wouldnt actually murder you, but thats besides the point and also probably not canon. but who cares about canon.) they can either be all the way from 10000 yrs back or they can be in the current age! this is partly inspired by the pirates in castle in the sky. also i would also like to have yiga ocs of different races. like we know anyone can really join as we see a hylian asking to join, and link joins and is able to learn an earthquake technique, so its not just a sheikah thing. so if anyone can join then why dont we see other races in yiga outfits like zora or rito or gorons? are they just disguising themselves to look uniform?? i dont think thats how it works but im not going to ask! but yeah zora rito and goron yiga. the gerudo May be able to get into the yiga but its hard to tell. i feel like these yiga would be on friendly terms with both the yiga and the sheikah, kind of like an buffer(?) state between two states that are at war. neutral party. also theyd be really good with sheikah tech considering 10000 yrs ago they probably worked on it while they were banished. they could help link with a weakness in the divine beasts or smth, maybe link can help them with something i dont know i havent fleshed this out yet

this has totk spoilers so i’ll strike it. so zelda in totk turns herself into a dragon. now i have opinions on this, but thats not what youre here for youre here for ocs. so three dragons exist in totk and botw: farosh, dinraal, and naydra. its debatable whether they were people at first who swallowed their secret stones or if they were created by the goddess or something (in botw it might state they were created by the goddess but im not sure!), but for this im saying they were people at first who swallowed their secret stones. im basing their races off their flight paths in botw (in totk its changed so they go into chasms, but im assuming if there was no chasms this wouldnt be their normal route yknow? for some reason it shifted no idea why. also wow is that a sentence to say). dinraal flies from akkala, to behind death mountain, into the tanagar canyon. so by the logic im employing the could be a hylian, a goron, maybe a korok?, or a rito. personally im going with a rito as i find that the most interesting considering they live in a snowy area, plus revali literally got dinraals horn as part of his trials of becoming the pilot for vah medoh (which is never mentioned in game besides when we do the trials. pain). naydra flies above the lanayru bay between zoras domain and kakariko village, as well as over the lanayru promenade, kinda like a long oval over the mountain and between the two villages. in totk it flies way closer to hateno village which is really cool symbolism for the inhabitants of that village if you ignore why they fly so close to their to begin with. anyways naydra could be a zora, a sheikah, or a hylian from hateno. honestly in my concept sketches i went for a zora but i like the idea of a hylian from hateno scaling mount lanayru in the moth unorthodox way possible. i think theyd have a bunch of colored cloths but thats off topic anyways onto farosh. farosh is the most varied, flying around lake hylia, the faron region, and surprisingly around the gerudo highlands. so farosh could be a gerudo, a hylian, or if this was Before totk i would say a zonai but. honestly im not entirely convinced the zonai/the people in faron arent the same people like. their architecture has Similarities but im really not convinced its the same architecture at All like. the ruins have more animalistic features and curves while the zonai architecture is more squareish/geometrical and theres only really Dragons present, no boars or owls. plus the lamps are different, the ruins have like standard lighting thats kinda square while the zonai have lights shaped like lotuses. it could be the ruins are just an earlier period for the zonai but like in lore they were close to Gods and descended from the heavens, with rauru and mineru being the last left on the surface. they werent originally from the surface so it couldnt have been an earlier period. and why wouldnt that architecture style stay if it Were the zonai? rauru was the king of hyrule, if the style originated from the surface then the king shouldve used it as thats where he was butbhe didnt! he wasnt even Close to faron, and the memories show the style of architecture on the islands being used for the kingdom so whats up with that? plus why wouldnt their architecture style carry over on the islands??? if it was an earlier period for the zonai that didnt originate from the surface itd be on the sky islands, and yet it isnt????? the sky islands are parts of the old hyrule, not built by the zonai who left the surface. so who built the ruins???? its possible that it was just an early concept for the zonai but nintendo scrapped it in favor for what we got, and yeah thats probably it, but im not taking that for an answer. the ruin-makers (or scrapped zonai) were either hylians (lurien village theorized to be descendants from the zonai as they can read the glyphs on the palamore ruins in botw + they have the zonai swirl mark on the houses, as well as the barbarian armour) or, if you wanted to make a theory on crack, you could say they were lynels and lynels and the current zonai-

-are related somehow (sorry the dash is because tumblr limited the words in the paragraph). this is because the barbarian armour looks a hell of a lot like a lynel’s gear, and its upgraded with lynel parts. so hypothetically. when i said i could make friendly monsters #real, this could hypothetically make lynels a viable option as a race, and as such farosh could be a lynel. so anyways :3 also in my architecture rant i forgor to mention that current day zonai architecture isnt painted or if it is barely and not with the colors past/scraped zonai use

also this is for mainly pre-cal, but zonai researchers!!!! botw only really shows zeldas fascination in the sheikah artifacts as a way to still help hyrule without her powers, but i kinda wish we got to see her geek out about other old ruins? like she goes to the ancient columns but only focuses on the shrine there, not the columns or what they mean (though. to be fair in not excited about My ancient history either. i am about other peoples ancient history though). and in totk we see her geek out about the zonai ruins, which is really great for her character!!! and considering it was a popular theory that the sheikah and the zonai worked together before totk came out i feel like either she or Someone else would be interested in it!! if zelda isnt then i would want link to be involved Somehow, as it was theorized that the sheikah represent wisdom the most and the zonai represented courage the most, and well zelda is the bearer of wisdom and studied sheikah tech, so link could theoretically be involved with the zonai somehow. (also i just want to do something with link mainly because i have the most fun playing with him like a kid plays with barbie dolls. but also i feel like zelda should have more character traits too yknow. who knows this could be a bonding experience for them). but yeah zonai researchers, distinct from sheikah researchers theyre close to losing their minds with what few data/info they have On the zonai (at least in botw). if they found a construct theyd lose their mind. theyd argue with sheikah researchers on why researching the zonai is important especially for the sheikah considering they Couldve worked together (before totk).

speaking of researchers, somebody (also pre-cal but can be after pre-cal) who studies malice, gloom, and/or monsters!! in botw they dont really know the enemy, which is kinda easy not to as calamity ganon is like a natural disaster. but i feel like they couldve tried yknow? monster extract already existed pre-cal (the recipe for monster cake in the castle), so either malice already existed then too Or somebody somehow discovered it through monsters. i feel like these researchers exist for the sole purpose to know more about ganon and why monsters specifically can get under the influence of malice (especially because in prior entires the zora were enemies too, though i dont know if its because they were under ganons influence or not, but if the zora Were under the influence at some point and got out of it during botw, itd be a good topic to research on who is and isnt vulnerable to malice)

id like ghost ocs too!! in totk we get poes but we dont have a physical form of them, and in the botw artbook we have concept art for a ghost!! plus like yknow the ruins of towns everywhere? imagine ghosts in all of them. imagine the destroyed decorations of the towns strayed about. imagine meeting aryll or links dad as a ghost. or on the brighter side imagine involved questlines with these ghosts, making recipes that were forgotten by time or retrieving something lost. GHOST ANIMALS NEAR SATORI. though i dont want to have too many ghosts tbh as, after playing totk, i have decided that i like botws emptiness compared to totk. im not joking here i swear not insane. when i say emptiness i literally mean having no side quests nothing to do just empty space. i like that about botw. i swear im fine.so anyways yeah. honestly ive been thinking more in world building terms for all of this

Filled up the entire challenge card! I feel accomplished! The rules this time were that I had to comment on and link each of the fics I read here. So here they all are!

Old fic: Slow Life by stereobone. First-time Eruri. Luckily, the aot fandom is vast and the fanfic libraries are deep—there are plenty of “old” fics for me to find!

​<1000 hits: A Real Lasting Legacy by dibs_on_erwin. Reincarnation/teashop AU, not as fluffy as it first appears. I actually had the pleasure of beta-ing this fic before its debut on ao3, so seeing its final form was an extra treat!

Fandom classic: The Echo There of Me and You by Shoi. An Eruri ghost story. I’m told it’s a classic, and being relatively new to the fandom I simply have to trust what I’m told. Very enjoyable!

Underdog trope: The Human Touch by Cherry. I am usually not a fan of sci-fi or android AUs. However, this one grabbed me just right—and presented me with enough clues that I have a pretty good idea of where the story’s going to go. It’s been…seven years since it was updated, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed!

Rare character/pairing: A Third Person Watches Them by Flight. Erwin/Eren with some voyeurism thrown in. It’s funny that a pairing with over 400 works on ao3 is considered a rarepair in this fandom. But I explored, I enjoyed, and now I’m going to devour more of these 400 fics!

Free square: I don’t have to put anything for this one, but it’s fun to! I persuaded a friend to post a snippet of their depraved fic idea, which I then proceeded to scream over.

AO3 archive warning: Purity by Anonymous. Dark Eruri. I’m always down for some noncon! I screamed aloud on several occasions with this one.

New fic: Cartographical Prowess by Tierfal. This one was actually part of the Fandom Trumps Hate auction earlier this year—I got to request some fluffy Elricest, and oh man did I get what I asked for! I had a blast with this one.

<1000 words: Schizophrenia by Indebt. Eruri. A bite-sized look at grief and mental illness.

New (to you) author: Sinful Thoughts by cozyreinsfw. Elricest. I met this author on discord a few days ago, and already they’ve posted multiple works for my otp! I am an instant fan.

>10000 words: Kraków by calacreda. Mafia AU. This one I’ve been chewing on for months. The tags say, “This is the gritty depressing horny evil!eruri fic you've been dreading,” and the tags do not lie. I cannot wait to see where this fic goes next!

Underdog pairing: Offering by orphan_account. I’m not a fan of Ereri. Generally at all. But since I like to push my limits, I’ve tried a few out. And this one? A lovely, dark premise that I can get behind.

Outside your fandom: Hot Weather Groove by Beehive Citizen. I jumped over to read some Cowboy Bebop! Ed is adorable in this fic.

1st person POV: For if I am not yours, what am I? by LuvAtFirstRead. Eruri. I am Not a 1st person enjoyer generally, but this piece had such lovely, evocative imagery—and the EMOTIONS! I love when a fic makes me horny and depressed at the same time.

Underrated fave: on wanting by underfallingflowerpetals. Some of the best Elricest I’ve read! I’ve actually already commented on this work, so I left a second comment saying how much I enjoy rereading this fic. Now, granted, it’s not on any reclists because it’s a relatively new fic, and the Elricest fandom hasn’t made any reclists in…almost a decade now. (I should change that. This fic’s going on it.)

>100000 words: baby I’ll come back to you by elizaham8957. Jonerys—a…Jonas Brothers AU?Another epic that is years in the making! I met this author via another fandom we shared, and at this point I’ll read anything she writes.

In botw 2 there is a theory that the green hand that is holding ganondorf down is the hero from 10000 years ago. And in your blood between us au, you headcanon that warriors is the hero from 10000 years ago. You also said that after the lu adventure is over, wars was going to fight calamity Gannon. The thought of warriors never actually leaving that cave and leaving everyone that he cared about alone and being stuck in that cave for so long is pretty sad.
