I think the reason I love 100h!scar as icarus and grian as the sun so much is that it implies the sun loved icarus.

it showered him with gifts, did everything it could to keep him safe, it even gave him the wings that were eventually the cause of his downfall.

and the sun was guilty, and the sun wanted things to change, because oh my god it just killed icarus.

in this case, icarus didn't die escaping imprisonment. he just wanted to get closer to the sun.

I'm curious, what's your S8 - Pirates timeline headcanon ignoring 100H?

boatem fall through the void for a few days until they get sick of eachothers company (/affectionate) and decide to target a random server to land on

they end up on pirates smp over a year before it actually starts and crash into the ocean, steal a ship (borrow, BORROW a ship, grian insists) and sail the high seas for an indererminate amount of time

eventually the people they stole the ship from come back and fight them for it. scar is the only survivor, and salvages what he can from his friends. he assumed they've respawned somewhere and doesnt let himself get too hung up on it.

the rest of boatem respawn in the void, and after getting no word back from scar go on to their own solo adventures (pearl and impulse on their respective hardcore worlds, mumbo on his creative testing world, grian technically on 100 hours but, you know, im not sure how to work with that rn,)

eventually when scar permadies on pirates smp or the story ends, he'll also respawn in the void under boatem.

due to time dialation between the servers, whenever he gets back there it'll still be pre-season 9 and barely any time has passed. boatem may or may not retain their memories of this adventure.

theres a LOT of holes but i feel like i could work it into something interesting. maybe time between the servers is so narnia-esque that grian could just wait around for a day for scar to respawn and then start the 100 hours series.....

You’re gonna see a lot of minecraft here. Minecraft, Hermitcraft, the Life Series, Empires, probably more. Telling you who I main would take far too long because I watch So Many CCs, but I do have a soft spot for pixlriffs. Very very occasionally I’ll post updates to my singleplayer world.

This is probably where I should mention I run @tango-but-everywhere. We’re a pretty sizeable community now, and I’ll occasionally crosspost related stuff here with the tag ‘tango on main’.

You’re also gonna see a lot of splatoon here. I’ve 100% all 3 games, love reading about the lore, love seeing peoples’ art and headcanons and stuff. I’m less likely to make my own splatoon posts than I do with the minecraft side but I do occasionally make them.

Legend of Zelda, Star Wars, TMA, Good Omens, basically anything can show up here. I do what I want. I don’t usually tag stuff, but if I do it’ll usually be with ‘good post op’, which is basically just my bookmark tag. All my favourite things are in there.

I like holding polls. I like knowing stuff. curiosity or whatever.

This is a medieval-ish Last Life/Empires au and it's shaping up to be SO GOOD. There's only four chapters so far but it's incredibly immersive and engaging. Jimmy is the prince of both the Avians and the Fairies (he's half of each) and has been taken hostage by Exor. I'm so excited about this one

I enjoy that all the lores from season 8 are coexisting because on one hand you have cleo:

Resident enderman gorgon zombie who was absolutely trapped in the end after season 8 and just got out by falling onto the season 9 world

And ren:

Local dogboy that has been adopted by a corporation and knows for a FACT that season 8 wasn't real and was a false reality made by the hermatrix

I want a bit where the two of them sit across from each other and explain their situations in increasingly condescending tones

Takeaways from the 100h finale:

1) handing mythicalsausage several stacks of explosives is always a great idea

Scar blinks, and sits up. He dusts himself off and yanks out the vines pinning his feet to the floor. Those grew faster than normal. Hm. No matter. There’s things to be done! Builds to build, boots to take! His bones feel a little… creakier than normal, but no matter. It’s just the fallout of a long nap.

The first task, of course, is to go say hi to his wonderful friends and clothes donors. His armor feels a tad chipped, but Grian’s always willing to offer some extra. Well. His open chests are, atleast. His wheelchair scrapes along the floor with a sound that suggested it needed greasing. But that’s a problem for tomorrow scar. It’d get through the day. Jumping out his fun little plank, he hit the water, pulled out a rickety boat and climbed in. There’s. There’s not supposed to be that many holes in boats, Scar thinks. But his friends are waiting for him! He’s got to go. Surely, they’re just dying and overflowing with riches to give to their amazing comrade.

Turning the first bend of the river, he catches his first sight of Grian’s- house? That’s odd. All of his crops are wilted. Barely edible anymore, really. His plants are overgrown- dear god Grian, you don’t like doing the interior but keep the exterior somewhat pleasant. This looks like a ghost town! Scar should start a gardening service, he thinks. Not that he particularly wants to garden. Maybe he can force some farming villagers to do it for him. Grian, your roof too? It’s a good thing moss can thrive on its own, but that looks like a tad too less roof and a tad too much moss. To each their own, I suppose. He calls out. “Grian? Ya here?”

That’s odd. No response. He must be out resource gathering, or something- maybe Joel’s at home. He scampers over to- Joel. That was not that big the last time he saw it. No one builds a megabase that inhumanly fast, and he’d well know about not quite being human. Joel. And speak of the devil- footsteps came up behind him, and he turned around to see Joel in netherite and wings in full splendor, munching on a golden carrot as he climbed towards his castle.

And then- following past, laughing alongside- Grian.

Scar wouldn’t quite admit it, but a little bit of relief washed over him. So he opened his mouth to say hello-

“Why do you have a mustache?”

Close enough.

Joel grinned. “Scar, let me introduce you. This is Grien.”

Looking at Scar’s befuddled expression, Grien elaborated: “Scar, I died!”

What?

“Really badly, to a vindicator in a woodland mansion.”

Scar blinked. Well. He was under the impression they had only one life, but Grian’s always been a bit special. Whatever. He could process this later. He was a man on a mission! With slightly empty pockets! And of course this needed to be remedied immediately.

“Aw, I’ve used my last rocket. I was wondering, if maybe, you could lend me a couple?”

Joel rolled his eyes and Grian scoffed, but they both handed him a good handful. Scar clapped his hands together. “Awwww.”

Grian looked him up and down, and then threw him something else as well- “Here’s a golden carrot.” Well! He didn’t even need to ask! Grian knew him so well.

“And some diamonds? Or some netherite?” Ah. That seemed to be pushing his luck. “Can I put on your netherite helmet pleeease? Just for a moment?” Grian hesitated, and then looked at him again. And then took off his helmet and handed it to him. Really, Grian was being extra specially nice to him today. Maybe someone’d scratched his feathers or something.

“Oh, this is good! Oh, look at it, the craftsmanship, look, look, look, thanks, look-”

“He’s gonna fly off with it now, isn’t he?”

Joel knew him so well. He turned around and leaped off the cliff, and his wings opened with a crack! behind him. Maybe his wheelchair wasn’t the only thing that needed oiling. He wasn’t asleep for that long, was he?

“Goodbye! Have a great time!” He laughed as he flew faster, ignoring the pop from behind him. He shot towards his canyon, aiming for his bridge, then swirling around it- and then Snap. He plummeted. The river- it was so close- it was-

Crunch.

i love how grian started doing hardcore on the same exact server where every week the universe systematically broke down his ability to trust every one of his allies, but then scar leaves him the most OBVIOUS fucking trap (seriously, its a chest RIGHT nest to a tree. there is nothing more sus) and grian is like "oh I'll open it, it's scar, he wouldn't hurt me", and then gets shocked when it turns out to be a trap. are you kidding me
