I have left all pretense that this is going to be super short. But this IS super short FOR ME.

Inspired by Nico during second intermission v Ottawa yesterday.

A hand reaches out and grabs Nico’s arm, yanking him through the doorway it appeared from. Barely a sound could escape him before he felt a familiar pair of lips meet his in a heated kiss.

“Jesp,” his voice a low rumble as he squints in the dark room— supply closet?— trying to read the play.

“I always find you,” Jesper whispers.

“Ah… yeah?” Nico runs his hands through his sweat drenched hair. “You found me.”

“You trust me?” He thinks he can hear a smile in Jesper’s voice.

“100% baby, you know that,” he can’t help chuckling, “Doesn’t mean I don’t want to know why we are in some random closet in the Canadian Tire Center though.”

“You said you owe me some back door tap ins. I’m here to collect.” Jesper palms his ass through the compression shorts he’s wearing.

Nico laughs, tipping his head back, before resting both his hands on Jesper’s cheeks. “Liebling, I don’t think this is the best place for that. Wanna really make sure I score some highlight reel goals with those. Maybe get deep in your zone.”

Jesper snorts fondly, “Yeah okay, you ruined it. Let’s go shower.” He reaches for the doorknob.

“Hey,” Nico murmurs softly, fingers sliding through Jesper’s hair, “In all seriousness, I meant what I said.”

“I know.” He leans in for a soft kiss before pulling away.

“And I’m also dead serious about fucking you later,” he adds with a butt pinch.

He hears the soft thud of Jesper’s head hitting the door as he groans before opening the door opens and stepping out, leaving Nico to snicker into the dark, counting to 30 in his head.

A request from my beloved, I hope it’s to your liking.

Jesper isn’t obsessed with Nico— he isn’t— It’s just, well, he learned early on that if he wants something, he has to work for it. So, he watches Nico, cataloging every word, micro-expression, laugh… and at night, when he’s lying in bed, he studies them and hopes they might reveal the secrets of the universe. The thing is, Jesper would’ve been fine in Nico’s shadow— he’s small and quiet, it would’ve been easy— because it would mean he was at least still in Nico’s orbit. But, when Nico wraps an arm around his shoulder and tucks him into his side, beaming his dimpled smile at him, Jesper is glad that Nico shines so bright he doesn’t cast shadows, instead illuminating everyone around him. And Jesper thinks, Yeah, I want to savor every morsel Nico has to offer.
