Jimin's Birthday minus 3 - 2020 celebrations

In 2020, the world was in the middle of a global pandemic and by October most of us had spent months cooped up in our homes under strict curfews only permitted to leave the house for food, exercise or medical treatment. The pandemic torpedoed BTS's plans to undertake a world tour to promote Map of the Soul: 7. It was a difficult year for them and Jimin has spoken of his personal struggles to come to terms with this sudden change and the uncertainty over the future that this brought with it.

On the 10/10 and 11/10 BTS held on-line concerts for ARMY. At the end of the concert on the first day, Jimin was suddenly overcome with emotion. Through his tears he explained frankly and honestly the frustration he felt at not being able to perform and the memories that had come flooding back to him of previous concerts as he stood on stage in front of a sea of monitors filled with ARMY faces. He expressed the incomprehension of what had happened that we all felt at one moment or other during those horrible months.

He spoke about this later in a Vlive.

Despite these feelings welling up every now and then, in many ways it was a very successful year for Jimin and BTS.

Dynamite was released in August and was immediately successful in South Korea and around the world. They performed it at the VMA in September and also at the Billboard Music Awards on the 14/10 where they also won Top Social Artist for the fourth consecutive year.

Jimin's birthday was obviously celebrated in a less public fashion than previous years. There were still messages from the members including this video from JHope.

Taylor has won VMAs Video of the Year award 3 years in a row and each time she attended the show. VMAs is going down in relevancy ever since they focused more on attendance = winning awards after they snubbed Harry’s Adore You and Dua Lipa in 2020 for not attending the show.

The most obvious thing that happened was when Taylor won Video of the Year in 2022, the same year As It Was also nominated, she bragged about how 4 out of the 6 nominees in that category was women for the first time in VMAs history. She of course had to google it to know that. But she definitely didn’t google it while the category nominees were being announced before the win. So she had to know way before hand she was winning the award. And then she pretended to be shocked that she won when all along she knew she was going to win everything she was nominated.

Karma struck her at the 2023 Grammys though. She only attended the show cause she thought she was going to win SOTY for All Too Well as it was her only nomination that night. But she didn’t and her sulky face after that was one to remember.

That godawful 10 minute version! She should never have submitted it.

A/N: This is rapper!reader i hope that’s okay. I got this request a while ago but im glad i could finally get to it.

Jack and You have been friends for a couple years now. Both your careers started around the same time and you two became close after being part of the XXL freshman class of 2020. Jack was always very supportive of you and you of him.

He would give you advice on how to deliver your bars and flow while you would give him advice on his lyrics and beats. Things tended to get a bit hectic when albums had to be dropped and tours had to be done but the two of you always made time for each other.

Whether it’s a facetime or a brief text or a voice recording, you guys did not go a day without hearing from one another. Most people believed that the two of you were dating until you made an instagram post revealing your brand new relationship with Polo G.

That was your first mistake. Posting a brand new relationship was never a bright idea and unfortunately you learned that the hard way. You and Polo had a rough start to your relationship due to claims of him talking to other women while we he had you convinced that he was loyal. The two of you would break up and make up constantly and your business would be on gossip pages every few weeks.

On the other hand, Polo always had an issue with Jack being the friend you confided in during your fights with him. It ended up with him dissing Jack in one of his songs which simply lead to another fight between the two of you even though Jack never gave any reaction in return. December 2021 you finally had enough and posted an official announcement that Polo G no longer have or want anything to do with one another. Your comments were flooded with mixed reactions but sadly, most of them were saying how this is just another one of your stupid fights and you would take him back again.

This time you had put your foot down and wanted to start your 2022 peacefully with brand new goals ahead. Throughout all your drama, Jack never treated you any differently. In fact the two of you got even closer after your break up and dropped an album together in March. You had made an instagram post wishing him a happy birthday and it went viral unintentionally.

“The guy she tells you not to worry about.” Was what everyone but mainly men were saying. The thing is, you and Jack had never crossed any lines of friendship. Everything between the two of you has always been strictly platonic except for a couple suggestive jokes here and there but that was normal between friends. Everyone around you and Jack always say that there’s a spark and lots of tension between you two but neither of you ever acted on it.

Around may you noticed Jack started flirting with you a lot more and the lines of friendship began to blur. It wasn’t surprising but at the same time you were never prepared for the things he would say. “Megan asked you to perform at her birthday party right?” “Yeah, i’m excited.” “Isn’t it at a strip club?” “So?” “If I come will you do a dance?” He said it with such a straight face and that only made it more shocking to you. No smug or goofy smile that he usually had when he was joking.

The flirting went on for months and you were definitely flirting back.

September rolls around and it was soon to be the VMAs. You were set to perform your new song with Flo Mili and Jack was opening and co-hosting the show. You were getting ready in your hotel room with the help of your team when your phone started ringing and of course it was Jack.

“I’m getting ready what do you want?” You say while your makeup artist applied your eyeshadow. “Damn. No hello? Let me see you, all I see is the ceiling.” “Jack I can’t move too much i’m getting my makeup done.” You lifted the phone facing you and Jack let out a loud whistle that even startled your make up artist. “WHEW you look so fine my goodness.” He had a giant smile on his face just like a kid on christmas. “That color looks beautiful on you.” You were a giggling and flustered mess. “Thank you. Now show me your snazzy suit Mister Givenchy.” Jack panned the camera down to his all black suit that was snug around his small waist and just right around his wide shoulders. He looked so good you could just eat him up.

“You like what you see huh?” “Yeah I need me some of that.” You flirted back with no hesitation. “You don’t need Givenchy, you need jesus.” “That was disgustingly cringe worthy Jack.” You shook your head at him. “I’m gonna let you finish getting ready. Can’t wait to see your beautiful ass in that dress.” “You just saw me in the dress.” “Yeah but I didn’t see your ass cause you’re sitting on it.” Both of you couldn’t hold back your laughter this time as you hung up the call.

Once you got to the VMA’s black carpet everyone went wild over your dress and how beautiful you looked. The night went very well and you were having a good time. You enjoyed Jack’s opening performance and the two of you were sitting not too far from each other so you would dance to songs together and lip sync to one another.

Jack was nominated for multiple awards and he had already won 2. This next category was his last nomination and it felt as if you were more nervous than him. “And the award goes to…JACK HARLOOOOW” You screamed of excitement as Jack got up, hugged you and dapped dj drama who was sitting next to him up, before going on stage to receive his final award of the night.

“Wow…three in a row that’s a new record.” The crowd cheered loudly as he took a moment to admire the trophy. He let the crowd calm down before yelling into the mic. “BITCH I TOLD YOU” and the crowd went wild all over again. “I just want to thank everyone on my team, my producers, my parents.” “And just before I go I wanna give a big shout out to Givenchy for custom making this suit for me and shout out to y/n cause she’s gonna be taking it off of me tonight. Thank you.”

The stadium was louder than ever. Your hand was covering your open mouth in shock of what Jack had just said live at a world known award show. You could feel your cheeks get super warm as everyone else was cheering at his boldness. You two definitely had a lot to talk about later that night. Once the show was over and you guys left together, not much talking was done. Unless body language counts….if so, more than enough was said.

I think the apology she wanted from Joe was for him choosing a movie above the opening night of her biggest tour and not jetting back for the opening night. From Taylor's behaviour we can see it's super important for the boyfriend to be there for her tour.

Obviously he was filming and it would have been disruptive for him to do this but I can see her expecting this (also given Joe was away working during other important events for her like Red TV release or the Graduation thingy)

Her remark to Travis saying "jetlag is a choice " and flying around the world for the Superbowl after the last night in Tokyo cements this. She has been dropping quotes about how important it is for the partner to show up and support her in interviews & even in pressers about the Travis relationship

well now that she has a partner who is always there for her important events, she should start focusing on him instead of trying to shade her ex at any given chance. she got what she wanted so why's she still fussing. also here's a list of all the important events that joe attended for her:

These are all I can think of right now but i can confirm there are more events when he was there for her as a support system. During the span of six years he's been there for her from time to time. swifties like to paint him as a bad boyfriend when it's literally not true. I don’t see Taylor's athlete boyfriend joining her promotional work events and if I brought it up swifties will say tk has his own job restrictions. But where is the same energy when it's Joe who couldn’t attend her important events due to job restrictions as well? The tunnel vision of making Joe a villain and a bad boyfriend is so embarrassing, like they know it's not true. Love of My Life

LOML closes out Harry's House, it's a sad song about realising someone is the love of his life after he had lost them. Harry has spoken about an albums start and end, Harry's House starts with Sushi, imploring his muse to let love in and asking himself if just a taste of love is enough. LOML is about loss of that person and realisation that they were the love of his life. To Zane Lowe Harry said:

"Love of my life, I’ve always wanted to write a song about like home and loving England and all that kind of stuff. And it’s always kinda hard to do without being like ‘went to the chippy and I did this thing’ and to me Love of My Life was the most terrifying song for a long time because it is so bare, it's so sparse." He went on to say: "And in the spirit of what Harry's House is about, I think it started as an idea that was very literal, on the nose, [...] As I started making the album it wasn't about the geographical location it was much more of an internal thing."

So, what he said was that it is about his home and England is a metaphor. Home is common theme in Harry's work, most notably in Sweet Creature but even in 1D it has meant more than a place to him. The notebook also has a quote 'your mother is my home'. Taylor has also used home or homeland to refer to Harry, WomanExile has a great post on their usage of home as a metaphor for each other.

Timeline

In the NY ONO show Harry said he wrote it in Rob Stringers' (Sony CEO) house and that the phone ringing in it is his. As it Was was recorded in the same session, and in part, has a similar meaning. This places it in the first half of 2021. After the rest of the album, California. Also after Folk/evermore which are about communicating and endings respectively. Harry had seen Taylor in March at the 2021 Grammy's. At the time it was written Taylor was still dating Joe. Harry had been dating Olivia for a few months.

California in particular refers to 'summers death left to breathe' indicating that there may have been an ending of sorts in 2020 before he returned to England and drove to Italy over the time Folklore was released.

Though not lyrically addressed, to me LOML is a 'yes' to Question..?'s "Did you realize out of time, she was on your mind?" Question was written in the same time period, after the Grammy's interaction but was released 6 months later.

Tracklisting, release and length

Love of My Life is Harry's only track 13, Taylor's number. It was released on her birthday. It is 3:12 long, or March, 31 2012 - the date they met.

Live shows

Harry said to Zane Lowe he thought he would close the show with it. And he did up until March 25 2023 when it was replaced by Fine Line in the last leg. Later that same week Taylor Swift replaced Invisible String with The 1 and announced her split from Joe Alwyn. It only returned for the 3 Wembley shows.

It was missing for 30 shows and is one of the least played Harry’s House songs, only above Boyfriends and Grapejuice which was added for the last leg.

The first verse is a turn on the phrase “you don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone” he reconnected with his love and found she is the 1 but it is past tense, he still lost her. This is similar to the Clean secret message, which also appeared in the OOTW video “She lost him but she found herself and somehow that was everything.” And the cyclical nature of this relationship.

The second verse to me is remembering good times with this person, when he felt at home, with shared experiences and comfort. The Central Park walk with Taylor was on a Sunday.

To me, I take you with me everytime I go away refers to what Harry said about an internal feeling, no matter where he is in the world his love is ever-present even when they are not.

In the Dublin show on the 22nd June 2023 Harry confirmed this refers to his childhood friend is Jonathan Harvey. This speaks to Harry’s concept of home as the feeling that you are loved and belong. To me this reference is to when Harry took Taylor on a tour of his home in England, to the lakes, where he grew up and she may have met Jonny in 2012. She said that was her best birthday, sharing his home with her was important to him. To me, this line means their relationship is different now to it was then. As it was is also similar with with an external view of how others would see them and their place in life.

It’s unfortunate, just coordinates sounds to me like he’s reflecting on how they got from the Lakes trip to their current state. This applies to his feelings about love and home. The impact touring has had on his life, what is home and his relationships.

Knowing his love is a theme, in Sunflower Harry sang “Let me inside, I wanna get to know you” and in Fine Line “Spreading you open Is the only way of knowing you” to explore the idea of intimacy co-existing with distance with the same person.

He also sings about not knowing his love in Trouble “And I don’t even know you / But I feel like I do sometimes”. Interestingly in If I could fly he feels like she knows him “Now you know me / for you eyes only”.

The “are they the same” speaks to once knowing all the creases and ends but not now. “Super Pretty” has a similar theme of distant intimacy and vulnerability “do you still feel the same about me”.

The final chorus adds “don’t know where you’ll land when you fly” which confirms he is singing to a person not a country. Specifically a person with a private jet who can fly without the destination known. For that person every mystery take off is relentlessly tracked by an instagram account. How alienating it must be to someone who loves and wants her to see that and not know.

I’ve been seeing a theme on your blog about rethinking things and looking back on kaylor with hindsight. I’ve been doing some of that recently too. For example I recently read about kaylor not hanging out publicly for 6 months from sept 2015 to Mar2016. Then they want back to hanging out again almost like it was 2014. Starting with the love locked down/anniversary locket. They didn’t hold hands on dates like they did in 2014. But we did see that heartbreaking video from Vegas with Karlie’s sisters chaperoning them to prevent another kissgate, Karlie grabbing Taylor’s boob and hand at the 4th of July party. And the Polaroids, in October 2016, including one with Taylor kissing kaylor on the cheek. Back then a lot of people thought they broke up for those 6 months before March, but others insisted this was just them taking the heat off because the rumors weren’t dying with Tayvin and Taylor was caught in that famous backstage footage where she chased Karlie, and only Karlie down the hall after winning the VMA in August 2015. So I was trying to tie in that silent period of 6 months to the one in Glitch. Their love blackout. But I got stuck and I was hoping you could help me work though if they are connected.

here is the locket post from 2016 that you are referencing:

so from 3/6/2015 to 3/6/2016 marked “one year down” and while that may have included a time where they were not seen in public together, i don’t think that this necessarily implies there was a hiccup in their relationship, because of the nature of the language commemorating the year. karlie of course reciprocated similar language of her own that very day, while she was in paris:

okay. it’s interesting actually because your ask got me thinking about something. a lot of us think that this locket points to an anniversary date for kaylor, and indeed 3/6 has become a sort of kaylor holiday that we all celebrate, and that has been good and fine, but i had a thought which deviates from this a bit that i thought i might throw out there, the idea that perhaps 3/6/2015 was an important date to kaylor but not necessarily reflective of the day (or the anniversary of the day) that they got together.

what if, more simply, this locket date was the day that they “locked it down”

and i’m still thinking about what that means but if you think about it, you had kissgate happen almost exactly three months, a fiscal quarter, before this locket is dated, right? and after kissgate happened, things did change for them, although slowly. not just in terms of public appearances together —although as you point out they did get very touchy feely in the months leading up to the 2016 election— but also, it led to taylor starting a steady stream of boyfriends without so much as a breather, all after some time spent projecting the single girl image. she hasn’t been without a man since. so yeah, i dunno it just occurred to me… maybe the locket is symbolic of a sort of new “locked down” stage of their relationship.. am i making any sense???

as for the 6 year love blackout referenced in glitch, well, that points to a different caliber of invisibility, of which i think has been discussed on here very much in recent months. and actually to that end i find it interesting that taylor picked a new word, “blackout” to describe a period of six years that, for the joe inclined, should be interchangeable with “lockdown” if in fact her and joe have been a thing. and yet.. she didn’t say lockdown on glitch.. it’s curious..

To the anon with the affair claims, Taylor did say YB and her took breaks in their relationship. Maybe during which she went to Harry? This is all speculation obviously, probably nothing accurate. But some things might check out. Although, that wouldn't explain their tenderness in the Grammy's in 2020 and 2022 if the affair broke off in 2019...

I don’t think it did end there. I don’t think it has ever really ended. I think they see each other from time to time. Pretty sure something was going on during the VMAs in 2022 with the matching star outfits.
