The homies are making V profiles. Here’s ma boi
Tumblr media
Name: Vincent Yael Zircon, always told people his last name was Welles, though. Only goes by V, he does not like it at all when people call him Vincent. Netrunner Tag: V3nus Gender: male (he/him) Age: 27 Life Path: Corpo Affiliation: Moxes (formerly), Afterlife (post-game) Sexuality: Bisexual Personality: V is kindhearted first and foremost. His main interest is to make life better for his friends, himself, and the people who he considers family, because he knows he can’t help everyone in need. Doesn’t stop him from trying when the opportunity arises. He doesn’t take gigs that go against his moral compass and ideals, and he never kills without a reason. After getting roped into Arasaka due to a university program, he instantly went after his obsession with cyberware, netrunning and technology in general, getting fully chromed up. After the falling out with ‘Saka, he didn’t hold much of a grudge, only glad that he got stopped from becoming one of those cold, greedy bastards. He thinks Johnny shouldn’t be as hard on every single corpo he sees, because at the end of the day, most of them are just office workers. The people pulling the strings should rot in hell, though - that’s what they agree on. Johnny and him get along well, mostly because V is a forgiving man with a positive mindset, yet not afraid to tell Johnny he should crawl out of his own ass and shut his stupid mouth sometimes. He does not blame Johnny for his potential death, but rather looks to him for comfort on particularly bad days. He never accepted that he might die, and he never will accept it either. During the events of the game, he wants nothing more than to survive - but without the help of Arasaka. Facts: Being obsessed with high-end cyberware, V only has the best of the best. He lost most of his right arm while working in counter-intel at ‘Saka and chose to replace it with something fashionable rather than deceivingly realistic, he likes his tech to be visible. Hence the rather ominous red LED eyes with their black frames. Mostly fights with an electric monowire and enhanced combat knives. Also Archangel, he uses her nigh religiously. His hair is black naturally, but he dyed parts of it red and pink in his time with the Moxes and never went back to a solid color. Yes, that is cyberware matching Kerry’s in midnight blue with sparkly stars. But he got permission for it. They’re married it’s okay guys He did fancy Panam for a very brief while before Johnny unfortunately dragged him to Kerry’s house and the poor guy fell head over heels. He has a thing for arson and guns :( Huge loser nerd when it comes to physics, tech, engineering and space, and he incorporates it into his aesthetic whenever possible. The Star ending is his canon ending. (He’s fine and everything is okay and nobody dies and Kerry doesn’t leave him everyone shut up I’m not crying YOU’RE crying!!)

can I please have some Arthur Morgan headcanons? here’s some ideas for it
His experience at a target
getting a little treat after a hard day of work
being a passenger princess
basically following his new “caretaker” around while he figures out the modern world.
1890s!Arthur being thrown into the modern world HC
A/N: I'm gonna go with the last two bc I find it so funny. ALSO: I should clarify, that this isn't a relationship hc. The reader (You/yours pronouns) is g/n, and Arthur becomes their roommate
(And they were roommates...)
Tumblr media
Arthur Morgan was in the blast zone of Francis Sinclair's time machine and accidentally hitched a ride to the year 2023.
- Gets hit by (your) a car when he wandered into the street
- It took him quite a bit to come to terms that this place was not the one he once knew
- Wants to get home so badly, but it seems he's stuck. He can't find Vincent Sinclair anywhere.
- He seeks out your help and at first, when he explains his predicament, you think he's a crazy homeless guy
- He tries to go off on his own to figure things out but comes back immediately because things have changed so much from the place he once knew.
- He also almost got hit by another car
- You decide you want to show Arthur the finer things in life, first starting with getting vaccinated... God knows how many diseases Arthur would be exposed to, let alone the ones he already has.
- Also a toothbrush because his breath is probably rancid
- He sleeps on your couch for a while
- eventually moves into your spare bedroom and starts having to pay some of the rent
- He'd have to work under the table because his birth certificate says he was born in 1864...
- Probably gets a job with Construction or Bartending
- Also, clean slate? No Bounty! Hell yeah!
- tends to follow you everywhere because he likes how you explain modern life to him
- You got him a cell phone.
- He's never trying to be funny when he asks questions
- "What the hell is a "tik-tok"?"
- "Blue-tooth? Never heard of that, only gold ones... I used to sell em'."
- "And you can just.. talk to this? And it'll bring ya food?? Whenever ya want???"
- holds the phone pinched between two fingers on either side like he's holding a pair of dirty underwear and starts to yell at it that he wants some steak
- Absolutely blown away by pizza
- Astonished when he sees no horses, just giant metal boxes with wheels that seem to move on their own.
- When you explain how it worked and what it was, he called it a "magic stagecoach" for a while
- Passenger princess
- fascinated by modern music. It just comes out of your magic stagecoach with the press of a button?
- Huge Bon Jovi fan. his favorite song is "Wanted Dead or Alive".
- asks "What does this button do?" seconds before he presses it
- holds the "oh shit" handle in your car at all times.
-The first time he was in your car he probably actually screamed
- you got him an electric beard trimmer for Christmas and he acted like you handed him a gold ingot
- quite honestly starts to warm up to the domestic life. having to rob and steal to keep himself alive weighed on him way more than he liked to admit.
- adores movie nights. Movies in the 1900s-2023 are incredibly different than the motion pictures he was used to.
- after he gets used to this new world, he WANTS A MOTORCYCLE SO BAD but opts for a pickup truck instead because it's more convenient
- Insists on cooking dinner on the weekends
- didn't understand your gas stove the first time and he almost blew up your apartment

My top 5 Doctor Who Episodes; And why!
DOCTOR WHO SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT!! I say the season and episode before I start analyzing, so feel free to skip some.
5. Vincent and the Doctor [5x10]
Tumblr media
This episode was so touching to me on many different levels. Firstly, as a creative person who deals with mental health and ostracization, seeing a version of Vincent Van Gogh on screen felt almost healing. Acknowledging the hurt he experienced while not ignoring his joys was very special. On a technical level, the way that the episode visualized a way Vincent Van Gogh may have seen the world was incredibly eye opening and better allowed me to appreciate his art. Furthermore, the confusion Amy experienced during the episode regarding her memory was such an experience for two reasons; Firstly, it proved to us, the audience, how much she has grown to love Rory. Before, she was dating him because he was the only half-decent guy around. But, after learning more about him and spending more time with him, she is truly in love with him and this episode gives proof of that. Secondly, I experience dissociative fugue, wherein I may forget large aspects of my life, and this episode was so comforting regarding that experience. Yes, sometimes there are things you can't remember that make you happy or sad. You should embrace the feelings rather than ignore them or feel scared. And, finally, the moment where Vincent Van Gogh is able to see what the future of his art holds is a touching moment; and I like that it didn't save him in the end. Like the Doctor said, “The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don't always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don't always spoil the good things or make them unimportant.”
4. The Husbands of River Song [2015 Christmas Special]
Tumblr media
I looked forward to finally watching this episode for so long leading up to it because I had heard such flattering things about it; and it didn't disappoint. After many episodes that felt lacking or one dimensional, this special brought back an element of camp, humor, and fun that had been missing, all the while including beloved characters and dramatic sequences. Allowing the Doctor an opportunity to see how one of his companions, especially River, acts when he is not around gives the audience so much more insight into her character and the Doctor a chance to learn and grow. Asking her about himself and learning that, although she may be worried or grieving, she finds these feelings worth it just to keep loving him. Considering how much River puts a mask on around 11 to not show her age and sadden him, it was refreshing to see a new side of her. Not to mention, the storyline for the special was interesting and compelling without being overwhelming in a way that took away from the characters. Although it's unlikely that the Doctor doubted River's feelings for him, this episode gave ultimate proof regarding how much she cares about him. Unfortunately, it also showcases how little River thinks of herself in relation to the Doctor. And, yet, there 12 is to prove her wrong when it mattered. Best of both worlds! Finally, the tenderness mixed with grief and understanding that we end the special with is such a perfect conclusion to River's story with the Doctor as it reflects their whole saga together perfectly. River's argument to the Doctor that, "Happily ever after doesn't mean forever, it just means time." was so special and the Doctor finally allowing himself to settle down (if only for a little bit) was exactly the kind of growth the character needed.
3. Wild Blue Yonder [2nd 2023 David Tennent Special]
Tumblr media
I watched this episode yesterday and by gods it quickly skyrocketed to one of my favorites, where do I even start. Within the first few minutes of the episode, we are given many similarities and differences when comparing this Doctor and Donna adventure to their previous excursions. While they still compliment each other well, offering understanding and push-back, it is also clear the ways they have matured. Donna seems more in touch with her emotions and how she is truly feeling. When we first met her, she had a lot of anger and frustration within her from constantly being scrutinized and ignored. Now, we can see she is more peaceful and secure, even if below the surface some hesitation still lingers. Whereas, in the Doctor's case, he is so much more open to affection and vulnerability. The lessons he learned as 11 and 13 showed him that he could trust others, even if it is slowly. Although he is still trying to ignore or repress many things that have happened to him, he is at peace with them more than he was as 10. They both are less rageful. So, from a literary standpoint, just the beginning of this episode was wonderful. The classic "TARDIS fucks off somewhere leaving the company stranded" and "Doctor loses his sonic screwdriver and doesn't know what to do with himself for a bit" tropes came back swinging, and the way it affected the duo was wonderful to watch. The reality of the situation wasn't quickly swept under the rug or ignored because of a bigger problem, they got to sit in their fear for a while which was beautiful. The slow realization throughout the episode as if the audience is figuring out the answer at the same time as the Doctor just felt satisfying. Small, seemingly disconnected things coming together to form a compelling mystery. And, because it takes so long to give us the answer, we feel the carnal fear of the unknown just like the Doctor and Donna. I was tense when I realized they weren't talking to each other, but copies. I was scared when they were separated. And, the best part of the whole fucking episode, I didn't know who was who. That was terrifying! Up until the last second, I thought the Doctor had made the right choice, too! It kept me on the edge of my seat, informed me so much about the characters, explored a terrifying "what if" in a way only sci-fi can replicate, and was silly as hell. Loved every second. Also, the little robot guy was cute as hell.
2. Heaven Sent [9x11]
Tumblr media
Explodes everywhere I love 12. This Doctor is characterized as a less nice, but still very kind regeneration. He holds so many conflicting feelings regarding the loss of the Ponds, his changing relationship with Clara, his perception of himself. I loved how he acted in his episodes. as socially confused, because it felt very familiar to me. The way his brain always seemed too loud and his loner energy was such a switch-up compared to 11. and yet so in character all the same. This episode carried this perfect essence of Doctor Who that felt lost in the majority of the last couple seasons. An entire episode where the Doctor is alone, and grieving, and loving, and problem-solving all at the same time was so compelling. Although it is clear I am more of a fan of episodes that focus on the characters and not the current storyline, this story was enthralling even if it took away from character moments sometimes. Do I wish we had more chances at the beginning/middle of the episode to properly address or reminisce about Clara? Yes. But, after watching the whole episode, it is clear why it was done. The setting for Heaven Sent was so intriguing, and the whole episode we are just wondering as much as the Doctor is; Why? Why is he being chased, why was he brought here, why are there shovels? It reeled us in. And then, once we realize the torture he is putting himself through, the dramatics, character information, and emotion we are given is so heart-wrenching. Evidently, Clara gave the Doctor a comfort greater and worth more than 5 billion years of torture. Could you imagine that? The depth of his love for Clara is given so much of a spotlight in this episode, and I am frothing at the mouth for it. Especially considering how they may frustrate or hurt each other, they still know each other. They help each other. And goddammit, he is not going to let her go. But, this stubbornness isn't necessarily a good thing. One important thing about loving someone is knowing when to let them go. This love for Clara was selfish the same way her love was for him in these intense moments where they sacrifice themselves for each other. They were doing it to prove something to themselves, to get the other back because they couldn't accept they were gone, not because it would be a better existence for the one in danger. Clara didn't want to be saved, she was being brave. And this imperfect grief the Doctor experiences was so achingly realistic. When I lost my cousin, it was so hard to accept. I wanted to ignore it, I wanted to be angry, I wanted him back. But, in the end, it was his time. This journey the Doctor goes on regarding yet another loss felt so powerful. He was forced to feel this and it hurt, he couldn't just try and quickly forget about it or sulk on his own terms. At the same time, the revelations he comes to throughout the episode were so reassuring to hear someone outside of my own head say. "It’s funny. The day you lose someone isn’t the worst. At least you’ve got something to do. It’s all the days they stay dead."
Turn Left [4x11]
Tumblr media
This comes as a surprise to no one as someone who has been PREACHING character > story. This episode, while being a perfect set up for the finale, tells us so fucking much about the Doctor and, more importantly, ABOUT DONNA! Without Donna, there's no Doctor. Without the Doctor, everything goes to shit! Seeing as we, the audience, are usually seeing the universe by following the Doctor, a companion-focused episode was so refreshing. We got to learn so much about who Donna is, what her life back home was like before we met her, and gave realistic consequences to her actions. FUCK YEAH! It felt grounded, it felt interesting. I also adore the theory that every action we take splits us off into a new universe or timeline, so this episode was so perfect for me. DONNA'S INTERACTIONS WITH ROSE!!! Their comradery and understanding, the way Rose takes Donna under her wing, a moment where we see them as real people without the Doctor intervening or affecting the discussion. The importance of Donna to the universe being made so clear. WILF'S FLASHBACKS!! It's been forever since I saw this episode, but it is so rewatchable and makes me so interested every. single. time. The end of the episode is bone-chilling, with her literally killing herself to save the universe. And then!! The Doctor being out of the loop for once and understanding the severity of the situation with the return of the Bad Wolf. Explodes everywhere, words do not do justice the pure love, respect, and admiration I have for this episode and every actor, producer, tech person, writer, involved. Thank you GODS for this episode, I love you turn left. This lesson that every single person is indispensable and important sets up that conversation in later seasons and eventually becomes the main reoccurring theme of the show. Every Donna Noble, Rose Tyler, and Martha Jones of the universe is important and loved and unique and dbiubibjbjbgiufgbfgu you get me?
Honorable mentions:
The Parting of Ways [1x13]
Tumblr media
The first finale of new who, and it was so gooooood!! Tied up the Bad Wolf hints, gave interesting endings to the TARDIS crew, told us so much about the ninth doctor, gave us confirmed ninerose, had a compelling storyline behind it, and just a classic good episode to go back to.
Tooth and Claw [2x2]
Tumblr media
I know I've been mostly talking about the character implications of my favorite episodes, but this one was just interesting and fun. I loved the dynamic between the Doctor and Rose, the adventure, the silliness, the royal family being involved. Just a good, well-paced, wonderful episode.
The God Complex [6x11]
Tumblr media
This episode was so yummy. While I was watching 11's seasons, I did get the vibe that Amy looked up and admired the Doctor in an unhealthy way and I loved how this episode addressed this. The idea that this thing was taking the forms of people's worst fears, the mystery of what the Doctor saw, the interesting characters, the understanding on what a God Complex actually was, its wonderful!!
The Timeless Children [12x10]
Tumblr media
This may be controversial and I don't care!! I loved the way this episode was structured. I was confused and interested the whole time and when it fell into place I actually had to pause and pace around because OH MY GODS!!! it was a well-done reveal that had such interesting implications and I believe every reaction was in character and made sense. At first, I was upset about the loss of the former perception of the Doctor; Just a regular ol' guy who decided to act out and, above all, be kind. Suddenly, she was from another universe and was the original timelord and i was a little sad. But, the way it has been handled after feels so fitting, and it puts the rest of the show into perspective. All of the confusing things that set the Doctor apart from the others, it made sense now! I loved this episode, I thought it was a great.
The Village of the Angels [13x4]
Tumblr media
I LOVED THE FLUX!! getting to have a old-school style season wherein the who season was just one problem was so cool and allowed for so much information! This episode specifically was so compelling. I loved the Professor Jericho; was SUCH a great addition to the TARDIS crew, and the way the handled the angels was arguably better than Time of Angels + Flesh and Stone. They were terrifying, the mystery was intriguing, and the characters were interesting!!! The only difficult part of this episode was keeping track of who was who as someone who has difficulty recognizing faces. Besides that, I fucking loved The Village of the Angels.

Trying to make this a more consistent thing so here is me talking about my 10 most anticipated fights of the week (7/19/2024-7/21/2024). No particular order.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chantelle Cameron vs Elhem Mekhaled - Less about it being a competitive match up and more about liking both fighters. I feel a bit for Chantelle Cameron. Beat the P4P best boxer in the sport in her own backyard. Took a rematch for big money and basically got jobbed by the referee (and herself). For Mekhaled, she jumps up two weight classes after the loss to Baumgardner. She's won two since and is now fighting for the interim super lightweight championship. Mekhaled is a fun fighter and I can't imagine she doesn't turn this into a firefight.
Junto Nakatani vs Vincent Astrolabio - Junto Nakatani is now a P4P fighter in the sport. And rightfully so. Fantastic talent. Fun style and one of the more skilled finishers below the featherweight division. Vincent Astrolabio isn't a straight walkover, he fought Jason Moloney to a tight decision, but with some of the talent at the top end of bantamweight atm (and them all being in Japan) you'd hope Nakatani was getting those fights. I believe this is a mandatory though, so what can you do but hope for a good fight. If Nakatani really wants to fight Inoue, the fight he should be chasing is against Takuma Inoue.
Kosei Tanaka vs Jonathan Rodriguez - One of the big fights on the undercard of that Nakatani card. Kosei Tanaka was a hot shot super flyweight prospect that got turned away by grizzled vet and champion Kazuto Ioka. Tanaka has won 5 straight since the loss, capturing the WBO super flyweight title in the process. He is now set to face off with Jonathan Rodriguez, a Mexican boxer that failed to win a world title a while back. Tanaka is a fun fighter and Mexico vs Japan fights tend to be absolute head. Looking forward to it.
Tenshin Nasukawa vs Jonathan Rodriguez - A different Jonathan Rodriguez btw. P4P kickboxing great Tenshin Nasukawa continues on his quick ascent up the rankings in boxing. While Jonathan Rodriguez is coming off a loss to Antonio Vargas, he also had knocked out Khalid Yafai in his previous fight in the 1st round. He's not an easy fight for anyone to have in their 4th professional boxing match. Will be interesting to see how Tenshin manages.
Losene Keita vs Predrag Bogdanović - OKTAGON 59 - Losene Keita is possibly the most interesting prospect in Oktagon MMA atm. Fighting out of Belgium, he's got all the physical tools to be a real killer at featherweight. But he's competing up at lightweight for this big Oktagon LW tournament. He did not look great in his previous fight, getting badly hurt by Sardari in the process. So he'll be looking to reaffirm himself. I haven't seen a anything from Predrag Bogdanović outside of his loss to Will Brooks, but he's apparently a strong grappler. Should be interesting.
Doo Ho Choi vs Bill Algeo - UFC on ESPN 60 - This fight will be good for exactly 4 minutes. Either one of them, probably Choi, scores a KO in that time or Algeo will beat the hell out of Choi as he fades and stops him in the 2nd or 3rd. Choi just isn't a very durable fighter, despite his athletic gifts and I don't trust those gifts to still be there at this point. But it does have me invested. So it's on the list.
Amanda Lemos vs Virna Jandiroba - UFC on ESPN 60 - Of the fights on the list, this is the one I could see sucking. Lemos is a strong fighter but not a strong anti-wrestler. Jandiroba is a small grappler who's extremely skilled on the mat but can be scared off wrestling. Could end up being a tepid kickboxing match or a boring, one sided grappling match.
Petchpanomrung Kiatmoo9 vs Kento Haraguchi 3 - Glory 93 - 2023 was a rough year for Petchpanomrung. He went 2-2. He defended his Glory featherweight title twice but lost his two bouts up at lightweight. First he got stopped by Tyjani Beztati. Then he lost a 5 rounder in December to Chad Collins for the RISE title. So now he's defending that Glory featherweight title again. And against a guy he's 2-0 against - Kento Haraguchi. Kento has won 4 straight since losing to Petchpanomrung in 2022, including 3 stoppage wins.
Tyjani Beztati vs Endy Semeleer - Glory 93 - Endy Semeleer is no longer Glory welterweight champion. His reign cut short by a TKO stoppage where Chico Kwasi dropped him 3 times. Tyjani Beztati is also no longer Glory Lightweight champion. But because Glory decided they no longer wanted the division and cut it loose. So now Beztati is moving up to welterweight, possibly in anticipation of a yet to be announced upcoming Glory Welterweight Grand Prix. A very good fighter. Two former champions squaring off, with a possible shot at the welterweight title on the line.
I was really tempted to pick a random fight off the KSW card or Oktagon card but it felt inauthentic. Just did not have a 10th fight that felt super noteworthy. Maybe Jeong Yeong Lee vs Hyder Amil. So imagine an amazing fight that is happening this weekend and put it here. Maybe the start of the Olympics. Go watch some amateur wrestling or boxing or judo. I'm sure there's some great Muay Thai that I'm missing. IDK. Let me know.

i created my own ikemen wrapped for 2023. this is how i feel about the routes i played by the end of the year!!
this isnt spoiler free so tread carefully!!
IKEMEN VAMPIRE!!
Tumblr media
im sorry jean you would have had a higher rating if i DIDN'T play your route. i'm mostly neutral towards a lot of them but i ADORE the top four. it becomes even funnier when you realize that the top four are the only ones whose routes i have completed.
i played isaac's route twice, shakespeare's route twice, vincent's route once, and arthur's route once. i started comte's route only to drop it, and i am currently on jean's route!! i did not diversify my suitors at all JAHSJASGHD
a memorable thing about each suitor i played this year:
one thing i remember about isaac is when he started to fall in love with her, the scene in the church when he tied that ribbon in her hair. i nearly choked when he called her darling, he was smiling so sweetly and holding her so close. it was such a tender scene.
( honorable mention to that certain fanart i was tagged in so many times that the op called me a true isaac lover or something along those lines. it made me really happy that so many people, even people i didn't know, knew how much i adore him. )
for will, my most memorable moment of him was when i realized i loved him after playing vincent's route. i hadn't cried that hard over a character's misfortune in a while, but will's always been good at giving me a rollercoaster of emotions.
( honorable mention to vio calling my love for will blinding, ive thought about it a lot ever since she said that C: )
my most memorable moment of vincent was when he tried so hard to make mc genuinely smile on her first few days in the mansion. he didn't want her to feel uncomfortable so he tried his absolute best to make sure she could be herself and be happy. he really is an angel.
for arthur, it is one hundred percent his apology to mc for almost biting her. i've never seen him look more like a sad puppy in my five months of playing and honestly, it was so nice to see him reflecting on his actions and actually being able to admit his feelings (since we know arthur isnt the best with that.)
( once again, honorable mention to my enemies to lovers arc with this man. he's really not as bad as he appears, he is one of the most tender hearted and sweet men in the whole game. give him a chance if your heart allows it!! )
even though i'm not done with either comte's or jean's route, comte's most memorable moment was when he called the mc strong in chapter one. it was nice too see someone acknowledge her situation and try their best to help her instead of biting her. side eye.
and on that note, i'm sorry jean but your most memorable moment is the only one that made me angry. i hate that he bit her and i hate that the writing just skipped past it like it meant nothing. im blaming this on the writing itself because i believe jean's route is a good route so far, but it would have been so much better if it had a different beginning. but if i pick one that was actually wholesome, i'd say whenn he took her to the field of lilies and said the flowers were very her.
i started playing on july 2nd, 2023!! and what a journey it has been ^^
IKEMEN PRINCE!!
Tumblr media
my first route was yves!! i wanted to play licht's first but people talked me out if it because his route is HEAVY!! i ended up playing rio's, then licht's, then nokto's, then i played about halfway through clavis's before keith's route was released. i played keith's route twice and then hopped back over to clavis, and i'm currently finishing up his route!!
a memorable thing about each suitor i played this year:
when mc chased after yves when he was leaving for obsidian just to tell him she loved him i was SCREAMING. i remember really admiring how much strength it must have taken to go to the kingdom that abandoned you.
for rio, it was 100% the discussion he had with nokto about how he doesn't want to be with mc because he might put her in danger by being with her, but ultimately he can't help himself. that was such a good insight into his character.
licht's route was. intense. and because of that it was packed with moments that i agonized over. but overall, i think what nokto told mc about how the closer she got to licht, the more she was hurting him stuck with me the most. it really showcased the bond between the twins and sent a knife through my heart :C
i actually forgot i played nokto's route and skipped right over him, and that probably says a lot LMAO oops. honestly i thought his route's pacing was weird but the romantic ending was very cute. the most memorable moment from his route wasnt even a cute one HELP!!! when mc straight up slapped him for no reason and he was like "oh so slapping me helps you huh??" and she was like " :(( no...." and then they made out like WHAT!!!
clavis is also a very memorable person, and after spending a lot of time analyzing him i know why so many people love him now. something that really stuck with me was his philosophy on government and how the current ruler decides whats right and wrong. i think the same about people in power so it was nice to see my sentiments reflected in a prince.
oooh its time for my favorite prince!! keith also had a lot of memorable moments and ive been sitting here for like ten minutes trying to pick out the best ones.
for nice keith, i'd say the moment when he told mc he would try his best to stop saying "a guy like me" and "i'm sorry" over and over. it really touched me because i know how hard it is to break that habit and it made me really happy when he said he'd try ^^
wicked keith was such a TEASE but the most memorable moment with him was when he and mc went out to that cafe and he actually answered a lot of her questions. i know that may seem trival but it felt like a sigh of trust to me and that felt really sweet.
( honorable mention to the scene were they gave mc the earrings they picked out for her during the christmas event, i actually cried. )
i started playing on july 11th, 2023!!
IKEMEN REVOLUTION!!
Tumblr media
my first route was kyle ash and honestly i'd say for a guy i don't like romantically his route was very memorable. he's a great first route and if anyone is a bit indecisive as to who they want to pick i'd definitely recommend him!! ANYWAYS moving on, i played harr's route next, then edgar, zero, jonah, then i tried playing ray's but he was being stinky so i started lancelot's route.
a memorable thing about each suitor i played this year:
like i said, kyle had one of the best route i've ever read. listen to vivi aka the ikerev authority people. i remember lots of bits and pieces from his route, such as his determination to keep people alive, his pig goo, mc making him soup so he wouldnt drink himself to sleep, his gentle care for her once he figured out he liked her, how he pointed out the full moon and told her she could go home and was happy when she chose to stay, how he waited until everything was over to let her know how he felt, how he DIDNT DRINK on the night he wanted to make love to her, OUOTUOROUGUOUROHGH IM TELLING YOU HIS ROUTE WAS TOP TIER. but the thing that stood out to me the most was how him and mc worked together to save amon, and furthermore, to uphold kyle's principles. it was so heartwarming when mc told him to stick to what he believed in (even if i wanted to punch amon's teeth out during that scene)
i would keep talking about kyle's route but i have to move!! on!! because harr's route was peak domesticity. the first time he took his mask off in front of mc is one of my favorite moments (i actually did a happy little dance when i saw the other half of his face ehhe) because it shows such beautiful trust in her and arghgougohugo INSANE.
the most memorable moment of edgar's route was absolutely when he was so hesitant to let alice hold his hands, but when she takes them so comments on how warm they are. it was such an emotional moment because edgar was definitely feeling very complicated but alice was still there for him. i love them together :((
( honorable mention to vio saying i was alice reincarnated when i talked about that scene were they were all calling sweets evil LMAO that made me very giddy ^^ )
( second honorable mention to edgar asking mc if she thought pickles were a wolf in sheep's clothing??? weirdo. )
i was intrigued by zero all the way back in harr's route, and i started to really like him during edgar's route when he was trying his best to protect mc, which was really sweet. absoLUTELY the most memorable moment in his route was when he was fighting against the magic tower and he emerges from the rubble with an injured arm and a smile, just to tell alice "i'm home." i was crying like a BABY. zero i love you. please marry me.
jonah's route is a classic and a fan favorite, and i can see why. he starts out being arrogant and hell (and its irritating tbh) BUT he melts so quickly under gentle love and care. anyways, the red army routes seem to have a theme of giving up your position for what you believe is right because it happened like three times okay!! and jonah became a "traitor" to the red army just to protect alice. it was him and her against cradle and i will NEVER forget that.
lancelot's first impression was really bad but after playing all the red army routes and finally, his own route, i've grown to like him a lot. what really sticks out to me about his route is when he takes mc away from the dance floor because they're being stared at and they have a heart to heart. he tells you a single white rose would suit her or smth along those lines and when i looked up the meaning and saw it meant hope and renewal i DIED.
i started playing on july 27th, 2023!!
IKEMEN SENGOKU!!
Tumblr media
my first route for sengoku was mitsunari, then kenshin, then kennyo, then sasuke, then kanetsugu, then yoshimoto. the only routes that didn't bore me to death at the end were mitsunari's, kennyo's (i was actually shocked when the route ended, it felt like the perfect length to me), and sasuke's. i can't speak for yoshimoto though since i just started. i feel like ikesen has a tendency to reallyyyy stretch out the routes but maybe thats just me.
a memorable thing about each suitor i played this year:
mitsunari was such a good first route for me, and the most memorable part of his route was definitely when he challenged nobunaga for mc. not only was it unexpected but i was so proud of him for betting so much on his plan AHGRHGG mitsunari my beloved.
kenshin's route was crazy but EASILY the best part was when mc rode into battle with an army of her own to stop kenshin from FLATTENING the country. she kicked ASS and earned the title "goddess of war" for what she did and that was so cool of her.
i played kennyo's route because of the parallels between him and kenshin and WOW i did not regret it. his route was phenomenal but the most memorable part was when mc and him buried the bell that kennyo had kept with him to remind him of all the lives he felt he was at fault for losing. it symbolized finally letting those people have their peace, and furthermore, kennyo's inner peace. it was beautiful.
sasuke really got me when he THREW himself into battle with kenshin after kenshin lied about him and mc liking each other. sasuke's desperation to let her know that he couldn't stand her being with someone else made my heart RACE. it was so nice to see a suitor finally being on the more "selfish" side.
kanetsugu's route had the Wonderful experience of mc carrying a head!! a decapitated head!! and while i'm sure he has a lot of cute moments (one of them being when he told mc he loved her and she FREAKED OUT) I CANNOT GET OVER MC PICKING UP A DECAPITATED HEAD LIKE ITS NOTHING!!! shes a trooper.
yoshimoto's route gives you the unique (and memorable!!) experience of a warlord actually viewing you as a friend instead of an enemy!! (keep in mind this is coming from someone who has only played ONE oda forces route. im constantly on the "enemy side" oops) i thought his mindset was very refreshing after months of "oh nooo we cant see each other we're enemiesssss"
i started playing on july 27th, 2023!!
this took me so long to write oh my goodness. it was fun though!! im thinking about how all of this information is only five months worth of playing so i dont know how im going to handle TWELVE MONTHS PLUS A NEW GAME but i'll figure it out. i might leave the fandom before then idk!! who knows!! but anyways thank you if you read my thoughts i love sharing them even though i know its a lot hehehe

Yes, hello, what a coincidence seeing you here…
(Ask Game)
7. Favourite works of all time excluding your own?
8. What do you like most about your own work?
15. Biggest artist pet peeve?
7. Bruh... you know I'm incredibly self-centred, excluding my own?? I like a lot of art, but like... of all time? Of all time? OF ALL TIME??
...remember that statue of Hephaestus that looks like Nathan Yaffe? Hephaestus at the Forge by Guillaume Coustou the Younger.
Tumblr media
I just think he's neat. It feels like a cheat answer, but it is the first thing I thought of. Sculptures are so mind-bogglingly awesome. That's a fuckin rock you made into flesh. Crazy. Of course, there's also Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh, you know me. If we're going funny (I'm literally looking through my saved images rn), Treaty of Paris by Benjamin West.
Tumblr media
The painting is unfinished because the British men involved declined to pose for it. I find that hilarious. It's also just interesting to look at the roughed-out bits that weren't finished. Oil paintings are just so fascinating.
8. hehe... uhhh. This is hard to be objective about. I like my improvement... that's not a real answer... but like I like how close I've been able to get to the images I have in my head (as blurry as they are). And I like that I can look at stuff I've done and say... nah, needs work. Just painted over my John/athan art from June 2023, and I'm very proud that I was able to take that imperfect execution of the picture in my head and very clearly improve upon it. That wasn't that long ago, but I've gotten so much better. My ma said Jonathan looked very pretty and compared how I did the clothes and shoes to old paintings from an art book she bought. That's all I need (lies, I need more, but it's a good feeling).
15. Biggest artist pet peeve? Definitely like those "guides" on how to draw stuff. Maybe it's not my biggest pet peeve, but it comes to mind immediately. If I get a video in my recommendations with a drawing in the thumbnail that's got a red circle plastered over it? I'm banishing that shit to the shadow realm. So many artists that make guides seem to come from this perspective that their art is already the best it can be and their way is the only way to make art. I see some examples of "don't do this, do this" where the difference is clearly a matter of different art styles. Guides that don't do the whole "no matter what don't do this" bit are more respectable to me because they seem to have more humility, or at least they aren't going out of their way to shit on inexperienced artists or artists with a style they dislike. Of course I use guides as reference a lot, but the clickbaity ones that are like "this way of drawing is WRONG" is just so yuck.

[Translation] Halloween 2023 - A capricious love for an endless night.
[Flashback]
Snow: Oh my, this’s paradise.
White: Yes, my dearest. This, is paradise.
Snow and White: Paradise, paradise.
Snow: This feeling...the mountain village is lively today too, isn't it? It's as if there's a banquet going on.
White: If you cross that mountain, you'll be in the Western Country. That land’s spirits frolic and make a racket every night.
Snow: Mur from the Western Country told me the same thing. He's a shady man, but according to him, that land is full of fresh, fierce, and exciting days. As if a dreamlike indulgence continues whether you sleep or wake up.
White: ...Is that so.
Snow: Oh. You don’t think so?
White: Of course I think the same as you. I also like exciting things. A vivid daily life is attractive, which is enough to change one’s heart. But if possible...
[Presence]
Akira: Phew, I'm full. We came there for the first time but the food was delicious!
Cain: Yes! The thick bacon was especially satisfying.
Lennox: The cheese on top was also rich...We were lucky to come here just after lunchtime, the restaurant was empty."
On a certain afternoon.
We, who had finished our meal on the way to our shopping, were strolling through the bustling street stalls to digest our food.
Cain: How is that, Akira? Has it cheered you up a bit?
Akira: Yes. Thanks for your concern. The recent inspection by Mr. Vincent was quite eventful...
Some time has passed since the Central Country's Magic Manor was brought up as a topic at the Five Nations Peace Conference held the other day.
Taking that into account, Mr. Vincent himself visited the Magic Manor to inspect the state of the wizards and me.
Akira: (Last time, all the wizards turned into witches, but this time, they all welcome me in the form of children...)
Lennox: I'm sorry... I thought it was just a prank, so I went along with Lord Snow and Lord White’s suggestion.
Cain: “Everyone, turn into children and entertain the important guests today!”, they said. I heard the date and thought, “wait, isn’t that…” and it was really the date when the inspection group come…
Akira: No, don’t worry! I think it was a surprise worthy of wizards.
When I opened the door to the grand hall, I was surprised, but everyone looked so cute.
Especially the Western wizards, even when they were acting like their usual selves as chirdren, it didn't feel too out of place.
Cain: Shylock was even sexy as a child...When he was smoking his pipe, I thought wow, he should be like this. Mur was just his usual self too, but he tried to sit on Lord Vincent's lap while holding a scholarly book. I thought my heart would jump out right there.
Lennox: Chloe seemed to have a hard time. Rustica was composing a song about chaos right next to him, and they were all singing along at the end.
Cain: That was a really good song though.
Akira: When sung in a child's voice, it was cute and dangerous at the same time that it made me a little nervous. The second verse was provocative... Out of the Eastern wizards, Shino was the tallest child, right? Was that his own request?
Cain: Apparently so. He was happy that the view was different from usual. Heath was cute even as a child.
Akira: I know, right...Usually Heath is taller than Shino, so he looks uneasy and fidgety when Shino was taller.
Lennox: Shino was carrying him around, saying that he couldn't stop finding Heath cute. He even proudly showed off Heath to me. Faust, who told them to behave themselves, was also cute. Nero didn't show his face much, but it seems he was cooking using a step stool.
Cain: Bradley went in there for a snack. I guess Owen and Mithra were hungry too so they also gathered in the kitchen. When they were fighting in that form, I didn't feel as much of a sense of crisis as usual...Well, it was a disaster in the end.
Akira: Snow and White become adults to step in, it was a mess...
Cain: Well, I guess those guys are always the same, one way or another. The Southern wizards were grazing in the courtyard, right?
Lennox: Ah, yes. When I became smaller, the sheep flock became hard for me to handle. Rutile helped me out too, but... It was heartwarming to see Rutile having fun and being turned into a baby, while Mitile took care of him.
Cain: Rutile's cheeks were so soft and squishy! He might have been the youngest in the Magic Manor that day.
Akira: His arms were soft too! Like a baby's, like mochi bread... Mitile was carrying him around, and everyone else wanted to hold him too. He was very popular. I even got to hold him.
Lennox: I heard Dr. Figaro say, “Maybe I should become a bit younger too?” when he saw that. But it seems he didn't like being looked down on by Lord Vincent, so it doesn't seem like he would go for a baby form.
Cain: I got scolded by Riquet, you know, because I told him he wouldn't need to turn into a kid like everyone else. He just pouted and got angry...
Akira: Hahaha, that's a heartwarming story too. It was cute to see Riquet and Arthur, who were about the same age, pulling Oz's hand and going to greet Lord Vincent. Cain, you were cute giving your sword to Mr. Drummond.
Cain: What, you saw that? The sword was too big for a child to carry around. It’d have been dangerous to hold it like that.
Lennox: We could talk about this forever, couldn't we?
Akira: Yes, I know I should be more serious, but I couldn't help but laugh a few times...Now I can understand a little why you guys would want to tease Mr. Drummond. I just wish Lord Vincent would be a bit more friendly...
Cain: But Lord Vincent doesn't seem to be interested in understanding us from the start. He's also harsh with his words, looks down on us, and makes decisions without listening to us. I guess he really hates wizards. It's hard to make any progress like this.
Lennox: But we've gone through a lot of inspections now. Let's work together to make the next one go smoothly.
Akira: Thank you! Your words make me feel more confident…
???: Cain? Cain, is that you?
Suddenly, a cheerful voice comes from the lively townscape.
When they turn to look in the direction of the voice, they see a man waving at Cain from among the rows of stalls.
Cain: Ah, it's the liquor store owner! It's been a while. Akira, this is a store I know. Mind if we stop by for a bit?
Akira: Yes, of course! Let's go and greet him.
Following Cain, who skillfully avoids the crowds, they arrive at a stall lined with various bottles of liquor.
The owner of the store takes Cain's hand, which he naturally reaches out, and smiles warmly.
Liquor Store Owner: How have you been? Welcome to you too, my friends!
Akira and Lennox: Hello.
Cain: I'm doing fine. I'm here today with the Sage to do some shopping.
Liquor Store Owner: That's great! How about this? I just got my hands on a rare liquor the other day. Have you ever heard of this? The aged liquor made from the water of the spring in The Village of Endless Night - a paradise that will make you feel like you're in heaven!
Lennox: The Village of Endless Night…?
Listening to the owner's story, Lennox widened his eyes a little. He rubbed his chin as if the name reminded him of something.
Akira: Lennox, do you know about it?
Lennox: Yes...It's a hidden land known only to a few. I hear there's a mysterious spring there. They say that drinking the water from there will grant you eternal life, cure diseases and injuries...There are all sorts of legends about it...
Cain: Immortality and healing the body!?
Akira: It's like a panacea! Sounds like a spring that comes out of a game...
Liquor Store Owner: Oh! Brother, you know a lot about it.
Lennox: I used to travel too, a long time ago. I heard rumors about it then. It's said to be a phantom village somewhere in the Northern country...
Liquor Store Owner: Correct. The rumor is said to be passed down among travelers who were lucky enough to find their way there and somehow made it back alive. I managed to get ahold of this wine somehow. A relative of a brother of a neighbor of an acquaintance of a merchant I know...
Cain: That's a pretty distant relative...Is it okay to sell such precious wine?
Liquor Store Owner: No, I'm just sharing it with my regulars, little by little. It would be a waste to sell it to one person or keep it all to myself. So, Cain and the others, take a sip!
Cain: If you say so...I guess I'll gratefully accept it.
Lennox: Then I'll have one glass too...
Akira: I can't drink alcohol, but I'll enjoy the smell!
I takes the small glass that is handed to me and smells it lightly. A soft and fragrant aroma tickles my nose.
Akira: A gentle scent of flowers and fruits...But it's colorless, isn't it?
Cain: It seems to be different from wine or whiskey. Let’s try it… ..…gulp. Wow, so good! It's easy to drink like water.
Lennox: The mouthfeel is smooth too. The subtle aroma of the wine is pleasant.
Akira: I guess it's thanks to the water from the spring. I've heard that good water makes good wine.
Liquor Store Owner: Indeed, the ingredients are top-notch. But...originally, that spring was said to be a poisonous spring where a scary monster lived, you know? If you just inhale the mist that rises, it's said that an ordinary human won't stand a chance... It's a deadly spring that dissolves and sinks everything.
Snow: Indeed...In addition, the whole area is always filled with a strange power, and it is always dimly lit and shrouded in darkness like night.
White: The spring that lurks in the darkness was feared as the entrance to the underworld.
Liquor Store Owner: Oh, yes! But then one day, a wizard appeared in the land with great flair. They purified the spring and calmed the monster. The people around them greatly admired the wizard.
White: And as they sought the wizard’s protection, a settlement grew up around the spring...
Snow: And eventually, it became a village!
Akira, Cain, and Lennox: .....!?
Akira: Snow and White!
Cain: When did you guys join the conversation!?
Liquor Store Owner: Hahaha! Did you read it in a picture book or something? You kids know a lot about it.
Snow: Well, of course we know.
White: Because the saviors of that village were...
Snow and White: Us!
Combining their voices and backs, the twins raise their arms sharply, as if striking a pose. The shopkeeper, watching the children play heroes, clapped his hands with a smile on his face.
Liquor Store Owner: You can even tell jokes to pigeons*! You're smart and hilarious. What good kids. Here, have some candy!
Snow: Yay, thank you!
White: Although it’s not a joke!
They received matching candy and laughed innocently.
They may look young and cute, but they are Northern wizards who have lived for thousands of years.
Akira: Is it true? A village that was formed under the protection of you two...
Snow: We have watched over many settlements. The Village of Endless Night is one of them.
White: That said, it's an old story. We haven't been back in a while.
The Northern country, where the threat of the wild nature is still strong, is said to be quite harsh for humans to live in without the protection of wizards. The twins have lived in the Northern land, whimsically protecting the people who gather around them, moving from one place to another.
Akira: (I guess there are still villages that the twins once claimed as their territory...)
After leaving the stall, the twins happily walked one step ahead of us while licking the candy they had received.
Cain: But what a coincidence. You two had business in this town too?
White: Just a date. Snow and I were here playing when we saw you.
Snow: We were reminiscing, so we just joined in. Are you guys shopping?
Lennox: Yes, we were just expressing our gratitude to Sir Sage. They went through a lot during the recent inspection, so...
Snow: Ah, the thing about teasing that king's younger brother?
White: Every time we did something, he would stand out with his veins bulging. It was a good reaction.
Snow: I also wanted to see everyone's cute faces. Sage, you had fun too, right?
Akira: Well, yes. I was able to see things that I can't usually see...In a way, it was a precious opportunity…
Snow & White: Right!
Cain: But the land that the twin teachers were so fond of...It was said to be a phantom village, but it actually exists?
Snow: Of course it does. The wine we had earlier was not from the village, though.
Akira, Cain, & Lennox: ……..Eh?
White: Wine made in a village on the border of Northern country would hardly ever be found in the Central market.
Snow: However, the aroma of flowers and fruits from it is indeed the same as the village wine. So, something must have gone wrong somewhere. It seems that he was not trying to make a profit from it, so I kept quiet.
Cain: Well, now that you mention it, I guess that's true...It was a pretty good wine too.
Lennox: There are probably only a handful of travelers who are lucky enough to make it there.
Snow: However, the village truly exists. It's located in a secluded place, but the climate is relatively mild, and there are rumors that it's our territory.
White: That's why other wizards don't meddle with it much. It seems that various legends about the spring's properties came about because we purified and protected it.
Akira: I see...So that's how the village can be maintained even in the harsh North.

KHOC WEEK 2023 DAY 3: FRIENDS OR LOVERS
Tumblr media
I will never not love this sketch and I'll pull it out any given opportunity I swear.
So, Kimbri has a LOT of interpersonal connections that mean a lot to her, but a little fun fact I've shared before and will likely share again is that it's thanks to @khoc-week that she has an official ship! Kimbri and Leon's relationship got it's start with the original KHOC Week's AU day prompt where I drew a silly little Shoujo AU where Kimbri had a crush on Leon. (I was a bit late to that prompt, didn't post it until the 6th but I drew it the day before so their anniversary is August 5th!) Things just grew from there, and now I couldn't imagine not having this ship!
Anyway, into the lore! I'll just hit the highlights about who her most important people are. These are listed in no particular order
Leon, of course. The love of her life, her sweet lion. Couldn't imagine a life without him at this point, and thankfully she'll never have too.
Aerith, her best friend and a sort of surrogate sister figure.
Ienzo, since they were both wards of Ansem the Wise she considers him her little brother.
Vega, her biological big brother who went missing during the Fall, he's the one she's searching for.
Cloud, a close friend (and in some AUs an additional romantic partner, poly ftw) She is often frustrated with his constant disappearing acts.
Sora, she basically adopted him as an additional little brother after meeting him during KH1.
Echo, in Sister AU Echo gets the same treatment as her brother, becoming a beloved ray of sweetness and sunshine in Kimbri's life.
Cid, he's been her surrogate father figure for the past decade or so since the Fall.
Vincent, also fills the role of a surrogate father, but in a different way than Cid does.
Rosa, the mysterious woman who ran Traverse Town's only restaurant, she provided a nurturing feminine presence in Kimbri's life that had previously been sorely lacking as all her parental figures since her birth parents passed had been men.
Merlin, he taught her most of what she knows about magic after she lost her memories of most of Ansem's teachings for reasons unknown to her.
Orihime, Sora and Echo's mother. She doesn't meet her until very late in the story but she quickly becomes very dear to her, reminding of her birth mother in the most comforting way.
Ansem the Wise, her uncle and guardian with whom she currently has a strained relationship. She loves him dearly but it's hard to reconcile that with the horrible things that happened under his watch, including her own trauma to do with the Apprentices' experiments.
And then there's a few that haven't been born yet
Tumblr media
These are Leon and Kimbi's kiddos, who are of course some of her most precious people! Ariav and Nova are twins!
Ariav, the eldest, Mama's little helper who's always trying to fix things for her.
Nova, the middle child, strong willed and independent her mother is one of the few people who can reign her in without a fight.
Zephyr, the youngest, the biggest Mama's boy in the group, loves to sit and read or learn about magic with her. (He takes after Kimbri's father's side of the family so that's why he doesn't look much like the rest of the family. He also got Mama's "gets cold easily gene poor bab.)

Session 1
Amare Belmont
November 2nd, 2023
I used my shadows last night and fear that it might have been a mistake. It immediately left its mark on me and I woke up today with an immense hunger. I cannot share this with Vesper. He needs to not doubt my decisions. The whole pack need not to.
I made my decision and succeeded, that is all that matters. Still, it was too much for me to contain. I left early into the night to hunt. I knew he would be there. That sad blood I had been stalking. It wasn't my preferred flavor but I was hungry. Seeing it stumble to the closest bar in such a sad state made me angry. It had been this way for so long. Grieving but never wanting to move on. He was weak and it killed me inside.
I killed him for it. I thought it was the right choice. We can all be a bit irrational when we get hungry but that man was a failure. He refused to improve himself and wasted the air of others around him.
I dumped him next to a dumpster. It looks like his unhealthy heart couldn't handle the strain the cold weather put on him. I hope Vesper doesn't find out.
Afterward we met at the office. The whole pack was there. I was surprised Niccolo would show up anywhere that didn't have valet. While they were there I introduced them to Koda. I listened very carefully to see if any of them would call him a ghoul. I will immediately correct them if they try. Thankfully none of them did.
Niccolo's little rat showed up too. I didn't think much of it but Vesper was clearly bothered by this. I enjoy he has learned to pick up the slack when needed. He is truly wonderful. He even questioned her and let his beast out a bit. I thought for a moment he was a hunter again. I of course followed up and tried to make her nervous. I am less trusting than Vesper so if he could sniff out something from her then of course I was ready to fight.
She said she recently moved her from South America. Her name is Martha and she is a Banu Haqim. Nothing seemed off but we will of course keep a closer eye on her for now. If she is a Banu there have been many reports of them joining the local Sabbat.
Speaking of the Sabbat, Niccolo received a threat via a dumbass chant on a postcard at his front door. This man decides it is in his best interest to reach out to them and try to make peace. Apparently his "family" has done many deals with the Sabbat in the past. He swears to me he has never done that. If I figure out differently I'll make sure Vesper has a nice snack.
We went to the Anarch club not far from the office and immediately saw Deavis once again. Even for a Nosferatu his outfit was hideous. I kid you not, Niccolo immediately says, "Do you know where I can find the Sabbat" out loud. I wanted to stake him. Vesper and Vincent went into the club, probably embarrassed. I needed to know if anyone heard Niccolo. He would have been killed if I left him alone.
Of course a loose-lipped foolish cainite screaming about the fury of the sword comes waltzing over. Niccolo has the audacity to ask for some privacy when they speak. The freak agreed to speak in the back. All we got was stupid cult bullshit. He said the Sabbat was mad they weren't invited.
I made it clear I used to be in the Sabbat to them. I was hoping they would be willing to give up some extra information because of this but unfortunately, here in London they think they are scholars or something.
What bothers me the most about tonight is when I was talking to them, the only thing I could think is how fucking weak they were compared to my old pack. They acted like the Sabbat was a game. I was tortured toward perfection. These idiots think breaking the masquerade makes them gods. The Brujah at the gala could have killed these fucks. I only wish we had gotten to.
We spoke once more to Deavis and met up with Martha. I hope Vincent and Vesper had more luck inside than we did.

tagged by; @onlymeandlife thxthx (i’m so bad at doing tags as of recent dhjesb)
posting this very late but oh well
i have too many unfinished old sketches than i’d like to admit 😔 but i’m gonna share a snippet of two three most recent projects i’m working on atm
edit; since making this draft i made some more sketches but they’re 😬 rOUGH to say the least so enjoy my favorite ones
tagging 😳; @noirapocalypto @katsigian @spicyraeman (not sure if y’all been tagged in this but if you have something cool to share you’re invited 😼 no pressure as always tho!)

finally dusting off Vincent 😮‍💨
last time o drew him was in uhhh june??? (may?? ig coz i was tryna get that piece done for pride month but—)
yea it’s been a while :]] but he’s back; you may not have seen him as of recently but i’ve been working on him behind the scene (aka lore dumping on whoever would listen lol)
it’s mostly coz i didn’t know what to draw of him, didn’t have any inspiration, and his face turns out good once in a blue moon but let’s not talk about that dhdhdh
but earlier this month i had a ✨ vision ✨ of him in a suit and we’re here now 😮‍💨
once in a while i like putting my man in fancy/designer clothes okay 🤨
Tumblr media
cheeky closeup of some details ✨😌
a huge project i’ve been working on since the beginning of december (or maybe since last week of november even); so i don’t wanna show too much before it’s finished 🤫
you could see a bit more in my 2023 art summary (mostly just Dion sitting there in all his glory) but there’s still a bit more. it’s a first proper illustration with a full background for me so the work is going slow
still need to fix a perspective on one thing, perhaps redraw Dion’s face, coz i’ve been experimenting with that; but the lineart is pretty much all done. all it needs is to pick a color scheme, block out colors and start shading (the worst part arguably)
very proud of this one and i’m excited to finish it and show the whole thing 🥺🥺
and last but not least some studies of my beloved tiefling child
Tumblr media
trying different head and nose shapes for that guy but it also kinda turned into an expression study? kinda?

(The Multi Verse)
“So you’re me?”
“Yes.”
“But I’m not you.”
“Now you’re starting to get it.”
Vax wasn’t sure if he was high or not, but he was currently sitting in two places at once. Except the other him was different. His hair longer and dyed green and purple, his tattoos where different and not as many as Vax had.
“How the fuck is this even possible? If you… if you died in 2023 like Johnny?”
“Dunno… was in Kerry’s head for a bit. Then you were born. I watched you and sister grow up. I didn’t want to control life so I really only intervened when it truly mattered.” Vincent said softly, looking out at the city.
“Are you the reason I’m so attracted to Kerry. I have his ex boyfriends in my head?” Vax was not complaining about his feelings for Kerry, but they were so strong it almost hurt. It did hurt, to be away from him like this.
“Maybe.” Vincent shrugged. “I just think you have a big heart. Ker needs someone like you.” Vincent looked over at him, then at Johnny who was making a point of not looking at Vax.
“Great… got an engram and a ghost in my head… fan-fucking-tastic…” Vax muttered, lighting a cigarette.
Vax was exhausted, everything starting to weigh down on him. He was really starting to feel as though he was losing his mind. “Fuck man. If you’ve been here the whole time, why didn’t you stop me from doing drugs or going on this job-“ Johnny appeared in front of Vincent.
“Don’t you blame him for your dumbass decisions, V.”
“Oh now you’re protecting him? God will you two just fuck off?!” It was too much.
There was a version of him back in the 2020s. One that dated Kerry and Johnny before the 2023 bombing… one that’s protected the two of them for years after.
Was that why Kerry liked him so much?

SPINNING GOLD (2023)
Starring Jeremy Jordan, Wiz Khalifa, Jason Isaacs, Jason Derulo, Jay Pharoah, Michelle Monaghan, Dan Fogler, Sebastian Maniscalco, Winslow Fegley, Ledisi, Sam Harris, Caylee Cowan, Chris Redd, James Wolk, Tayla Parx, Lyndsy Fonseca, Peyton List, Pink Sweats, Casey Likes, Alex Gaskarth, Michael Ian Black and Vincent Pastore.
Screenplay by Timothy Scott Bogart.
Directed by Timothy Scott Bogart.
Distributed by Hero Entertainment. 137 minutes. Rated R.
Neil Bogart was a larger-than-life legend in the music business, even if very few people other than music nerds like me still have a clue who he was.
Bogart ran Casablanca Record and Filmworks, which after a very rocky start became the most successful independent record label of the 1970s. Bogart worked with and/or discovered such acts as KISS, Donna Summer, Gladys Knight & the Pips, Bill Withers, The Village People, Parliament/Funkadelic and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts. He worked hard, lived hard, partied hard. He ran up monumental debts and threw legendary parties. He ran afoul of music biz execs and the mob. All of that before dying way too young at 39 of cancer.
It's a fascinating, under-explored story about the highs and the lows of the music business in its glory days. Bogart’s son Tim has long felt that it was important to tell his dad’s story and has been working to get his dad’s story on film since the 1990s. (Early on, Justin Timberlake was in talks to portray Bogart, although eventually he had to drop out because his musical schedule was packed, and he could not fit it in.)
Now, finally, after decades of waiting, Tim Bogart has gotten his father’s life story onscreen. He did it in a way that his own dad would appreciate – going the independent route and taking on the tough work (screenwriting and directing) himself, and basically willing it into existence.
“Getting that story out… is… moving for me,” Bogart told me in a recent interview. “I do think this is a great parallel in the perseverance and the dream I had in making it.”
Bogart has captured a fascinating look back at the wild west days of the old music world, sex, drugs and rock & roll back when it was safe and normal. Like many recent music biopics, Spinning Gold is a mix of hard reality and fanciful romanticization. Sometimes it feels like a serious gangster drama of the 1970s, at other times a jukebox musical with some damn good music provided by current singers playing the legends of days past.
While most of the celeb singers have the voices to pull off the roles, they mostly look almost nothing like the performers they are playing, such as Donna Summer, Gladys Knight and Bill Withers. Also, a personal note to Wiz Khalifa, in 1976 almost no one had nose piercings, not even someone as wild and funky and willfully out there as George Clinton. So you may want to take those things out when portraying a real-life character from another era.
However, I suppose this is not supposed to be a tribute act. The song is the thing, and mostly the re-recordings of legendary hits of the 1970s work surprisingly well.
Holding it all together – the ringleader of the film portraying the ringleader of Casablanca – is Broadway and TV star Jeremy Jordan (Newsies, Little Shop of Horrors, Supergirl) who can access both Bogart’s showmanship and hard-nosed determination. It’s a fascinating bit of myth-building.
“That was kind of Neil's vibe,” Jordan told me in that same interview. “He just wanted to make you dance and wanted to entertain. He was a showman.
“He's writing his own ending, and it is really kind of beautiful and magical and different in that way,” Jordan continued. “We don't feel tied to ultra reality, and this is the exact perfect way that this happened. It doesn't have to be [real] because it was sex, drugs, rock and roll. It was the journey as opposed to the actual truth of it all.”
You could say that about the 1970s in general.
Spinning Gold is spinning some fascinating tales of life on the periphery of superstardom and the high you reach by going all in and creating some genre-defining art. Plus, it’s got a great beat, and you can dance to it. What more can you ask?

Olivia Rodrigo's generational influence
Jay Caspian Kang writes an article for The New Yorker titled ‘Why Gen X Dads Can Appreciate Olivia Rodrigo’. He initially introduces the connection he has with his daughter, as they both are able to enjoy the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) movie in a way that is relevant to both of their individual childhoods, despite their childhoods having taken place decades apart, due to what he would describe as ‘era-hopping’. By ‘era-hopping’ he’s referring to when media bounces between time periods, the TMNT franchise has continuously produced media since the release of the original 1987 series, therefore, remaining relevant to the younger generations of the past and present. Olivia Rodrigo achieves this same ‘era-hopping’, however, in a little bit of a different way, which I will outline throughout this text.
Kang makes this same link to Olivia Rodrigo’s music as her Sophomore Album ‘Guts’ has just released this past Friday (8th September 2023). He describes listening to the album as “the feeling of being sprayed with a nostalgia hose”, for those born between 1972 and 1985. Due to the album’s likeness to artists such as Wheezer, Bikini Kill, No Doubt, Green Day, and Blondie. Kang also addresses that fact that while other modern artists also draw inspiration from the past of music, Rodrigo does it in a way that makes you wonder if it was her intention or not. He also suggests, many artists are compared to a single other musician or band such a Greta Van Fleet who are constantly compared to Led Zeppelin. Whereas Rodrigo seems to draw inspiration from a plethora of artists, both across the entire album and within individual songs.
While Rodrigo has a talent for creating music that draws upon artists and music of the past, this is a double-edged sword for her career and credibility. Following the release of Rodrigo’s debut album Sour she later added additional writing credits onto the songs ‘Déjà vu’, ‘1 step forward, 3 steps back’, and ‘Good 4 u’. Taylor Swift and her co-writers (Jack Antonoff and St. Vincent) claimed that ‘Déjà vu’ shared similarities to Swift’s ‘Cruel Summer’ and the same for ‘1 step forward, 3 steps back’ and Swift’s ‘New Year’s Day’, which they were awarded writing credit for. Hayley William’s Paramore did the same for the song ‘Good 4 u’ claiming its similarity to ‘Misery Business’, which she too was awarded credits for (and Paramore ex-guitarist Josh Farro).
Contrastingly, upon accusations that Rodrigo included a guitar riff in her song ‘Brutal’ from Elvis Costello’s ‘Pump It Up’, Costello chose not to pursue claims. He stated on Twitter “This is fine by me” and “It’s how rock & roll works. You take the broken pieces of another thrill and make a brand-new toy”. Which is an opinion that many agreed with, particularly as people found the accusations made about Rodrigo’s music to be unfairly preying on the success of a young and upcoming artist. While credit should be given where it is due, I think there is a lot to debate about where the line should be drawn.
While Rodrigo’s music does not remind me of the music that was popularly on the radio throughout my childhood, it does remind me of the music my parents played as I was growing up. So, while I was not alive during the time periods that Rodrigo’s music references (nor was she), I am able to recognise the nostalgia that Kang references in his article. The article itself also pulls on my heart strings a little, as Kang discusses his experience listening as a father to a young girl, something that is bittersweet for me as I lost my father at a young age. Kang has allowed me to imagine that my dad and I would have been able to listen to the album Guts together, through the commonality we could find in her music’s sound and lyricism.

Teach Me How (Trigun fic)
Summary:
2023 Vashwood Week day 2, prompt: "To know life is to love many things." - Vincent Van Gogh
Quiet honesty in a hotel room, desperate men clinging to lovelier things than what they see themselves to be.
@vashwoodweek
To read on AO3, follow the link below. To read here, continue past the read more!
The sheets beneath them were threadbare from age and use, the plaster walls of the room flaking and cracking without any paint even being bothered with to cover it. The bed they were in creaked loudly if either so much as twitched a leg or stretched an arm out, though it felt stable enough not to worry about it giving out beneath them like some final death rattle for the furniture piece. The only lights were the natural moonlight cast through the window across the room and a weak yellowed set of wall lamps in the connected bathroom, though with the many moons this planet had to offer, they were content enough without them.
Wolfwood let his scratched rough pads lazily glide over fair skin as his touch wandered from what was left of a bicep trailing upwards along the curve of cowl into neck to finally rest gently against temple, fingers curling into blonde wilting spikes. He laid on his side, arm beneath his head that was tipped forward so their foreheads almost brushed as he looked at his charge in the lowlight. Vash laid with eyes closed but his slightly too fast breathing and smile on his lips gave him away as not having fallen asleep. Their legs tangled beneath the thin and ratty blanket they had pulled up to only their waists, Wolfwood’s foot gently rubbing back and forth against Vash’s calf without much thought.
For once, it was Wolfwood who seemed to be thinking a bit too “loudly”, his dark eyes focused a bit too intensely on his charge’s face, taking in the man before him. Vash was a man who lived too truly to his ideals, striving to look for and defend love and peace even in this hellscape of a world they had been stranded on over a hundred and fifty years ago. His body a mess of man’s creation as the blonde was shown cruelty in return for his hope and kindness, not to mention the scars one couldn't see that were guarded so jealously like treasure in his heart and mind. No matter what he lost or was up against, he never numbed to loss as his heart never loved any less than the day, month, year, decade, century before. Wolfwood couldn't believe it at first, when it had finally begun sinking in just how much of Vash was built solely on and around naïve childish ideals. But he wasn't naïve, he was desperate and full of hope even with everything he had gone through and more that laid before him.
Wolfwood could never live like that, he knew that from incredibly early on this world existed to hurt itself and everyone within it and he was no different. He either had to destroy to survive or be destroyed himself, and he had too many responsibilities to take the high road of quick martyrdom. Protecting the orphanage and the children there, with how long he had been gone and how relatively short a time he had lived there, was much more protecting ideals than anything else. He was grateful and had come to cherish all the people there as a child, from the patient caretaker to even the sniveling infants they took in from the doorstep. That was why he was doing all this, so none of those other kind people had to go through what had been done to his body and life. But even that mission statement for his life was built on hope and foolish ideals, that a contract would be kept, that he could do something as if he had any agency in this, that he could preserve and leave untouched a warmth and innocent better place from before.
Wolfwood inhaled sharply through his nose, exhaling loudly from his mouth to center himself some.
“I think…I never learned how to love correctly.”
Otherworldly blue eyes cracked open at the admittance, blinking a few times to readjust to the lighting before seeking out the other’s own dark ones. Wolfwood swallowed, unsure why he voiced it to begin with, but now under the other’s gaze and scrutiny he felt so small for it. Before this being made up of love, what was he to say he knew not it’s truth? The being in question leaned the small distance forward enough to finally make the point of contact between their foreheads, both warm despite the cool night air. Vash simply held his gaze prisoner in the quiet between them, looking for something or maybe waiting, but Wolfwood couldn't place what he was searching for. When he made to speak again, not able to withstand the silent waiting game this had become, his mouth felt as dry as if he were in the desert outside and not in a ratty bedroom of an inn above a failing bar.
“I…I know what it feels like for other people to love me. Miss Melanie did, she said she did and she looked real honest about it. And with….,” he trailed, unwilling to voice it even now when they were intertwined like they had never once been two separate parts and not one shared whole.
Vash kept regarding him in silence, but he brought a leg up to a bend so their knees knocked together, a sign of encouragement.
“I don’t think I'm really made for it, not anymore, maybe not ever.” He laughed a bit, a bitter and weak thing it was just like its owner. “I see how you look at the world, how you talk to kids and old ladies and even pieces of shit with guns aimed at your head. I see how you’re overflowing with how much you love, and I…I understand that’s just how you are, but I don't….How do you…” He trailed off once more, unsure how to voice the question he actually wanted to ask.
Vash understood it seemed regardless, reaching his hand forward to softly splay against the priest’s chest, palm into sternum and long thin fingers pressing in slightly against his pec. Wolfwood’s gaze finally broke to glance down at the point of new contact, but when he flicked back forward he saw blue orbs slide closed and the blonde pressed his forehead a bit further into the others, gentle contact becoming firm pressure.
“I can’t tell you exactly how to love something, love is a human emotion and I've heard those tend to be fairly irrational sometimes. But-,” the stump of his arm reached forward and Wolfwood brought the hand he’d tucked under his head forward to the space between them. Having guessed correctly the other’s desire, Vash moved to tug the other’s hand up to rest his fingers against the lips in a ghosted gesture and then replaced his hand to its previous place of contact with Wolfwood.
“-maybe if you feel how i feel, you can learn to understand it.”
Wolfwood bit the inside of his lower lip, eyes widening a bit. He could feel a burning in his chest that slowly started to build and even trickle down into his gut, one he wouldn't dare give a name for fear it could push him past some precipice he couldn't see.
“Okay.” His voice was a strangled whisper but Vash’s smile grew in satisfaction.
“I love children, they’re humans at their most honest and true and they’re not scared of me even if they find out who i am.
I love the adults they grow into, even with the scars of age and this planet they’ve had to learn to live on. They’re so brave and have come so far.
I love how hard you all work, you shouldn't have made it at all in this place and yet you’ve survived so long, so many of you for generations living when nothing was on your side.”
Wolfwood wanted to interrupt, wanted to say that wasn't true. ‘ We had you on our side all this time.’ He didn't.
“I love all the things you have made, you’re so creative and full of excitement and how you all share stories and joy and ideas is so wonderful to me. The art, the books, the clothing, the food.
I love donuts especially-,”  Wolfwood snorted at him, making Vash stop to giggle, kissing the other’s fingertips in the pause before continuing, “It’s true! You all made something that had no nutritional value at all and if I could, it’s all I'd ever eat! Just because it makes people happy, it was made. To share something between people purely for enjoyment is a wonderful thing Wolfwood.
I love my sisters, the plants…they’ve given so much for everyone even when they’re so tired. Nobody else can do it so…so they keep going, even when their humans might not know how to take care of them or might not even know they’re alive in those glass bulbs. Even if the humans of this world don’t know we were born to help humanity, that we were made on a planet that is so far from this one across so many stars, they still do everything they can and…and some they can't.”
His tone grew more somber, his smile a bit more forced now and he had to take another pause to refocus himself. Wolfwood started rubbing small circles against the blonde’s cheekbone to offer him some kind of comfort, some kind of focus like how Vash was doing for him. The blonde gratefully leaned into the touch, letting his eyes flutter open to give Wolfwood a glance to reassure him.
“I love…I still love Nai, even if I can’t describe how or why. I…i know he loves me too, but the way we love each other isn't… It hurts us, both of us. Loving me hurts him like loving him hurts me, but I know he does…that hasn't changed.
I love Rem, I love how kind she was and how strong she was. She was so certain of everything she told us, so absolutely certain that humans could do better if given the chance and the time. I loved her smile, and how she’d tell me things about the person she missed from earth. She was so happy to see me with his haircut, haha. I can’t bear to ever change it at this point, since she must love seeing it. I don’t really know what kind of heaven would exist but…I know she would be in it.”
Vash met Wolfwood's gaze once more as he asked in an almost pleading tone, “Do you believe me?”
“I do.” He spoke without hesitation.
“Do you believe that I love you too, Nicholas?”
Wolfwood choked, pursing his lips to keep himself from saying anything he shouldn't as his chest constricted almost painfully tight. Vash’s gaze seemed to sadden then, a pinch between his brows as he brought his hand up to rub the back of his knuckles against the bottom of his jaw, the best he could do in their position on the small bed.
“I love how kind you can be, even when your hands have only been forced to do cruel things. I love how warm they are just like your heart is, even if you don't realize it. I love how you scold me for not enjoying good alcohol just to smoke cigarettes that sometimes look like they’ve been jumped on by a kid in boots. How you love nicknaming anything we happen to get to know or own, how you love those stupid falling apart bikes and when they break down we always have to stop everything so you can give them last rites. I love how you pull faces when you think nobody notices when you have to talk to people you don't like or do things you find bothersome.
I love how my name sounds on your lips, it makes me…It makes me feel loved, even when…even when I don't know why you would want to. To endanger yourself with me, how even though I apologize to you we both know I can't change and we’ll do it all over tomorrow. I don't…I don't understand it, I don't understand a lot of things like that but…if we spend too much time trying to pick out why or how, we’ll miss out on the time we have to just let it be dontcha think?”
He offered a nervous chuckle, his voice sounding a bit wet as his own emotions got the better of him despite this being an attempt for Wolfwood’s sake. He stiffened momentarily in surprise as Wolfwood, like a surge of an ocean neither had ever seen, had suddenly moved forward to wrap his arm around the others back and press his face into the blonde’s chest just askew from the metal grate over his heart. His other hand worked to snake under and around his waist to pull him even tighter. Vash angled his hip to allow the wanted action, and once wolfwood had pulled him tightly that last bit closer, pulled his one arm out from where it had gotten awkward smooshed in the movement, moving to hold the back of Wolfwood's head, nails lightly dragging back and forth against his scalp.
“Do you believe me?”
When wolfwood replied, it was more a gasp than a spoken word as his frame began to tremble and whatever emotion that had been burning him from the inside finally won out and burst from him.
“Yes.” It was a wet sound, but it was enough for Vash to be content; he couldn't hear any lie within it.

October 23, 2023
In terms of my cohort, I definitely do feel younger than them. Less experienced. That really manifested, for me, when the ones in my evodevo class were sharing their ideas for the final project. Their ideas just seemed so much more mature (robust, specific, identifying resources relevant to them and finding ways to relate this project pretty closely to their interests) compared to mine. And it's like, I don't know.. I mean I know I'm not supposed to be comparing myself to other people when I can help it. But I don't know how much of their.. intellectual/research maturity(?) comes from having years more than me to devote to research on a basically full-time basis before starting this program. And I don't know how to go about trying to catch up without burning out? I don't even know if that's the right way to think about this, I don't know if it's even a problem at all. I don't know what my advisor thinks and a large enough part of me is too afraid to ask.
I feel like I'm a ways out of my depth.
[a week later]
I don't feel too much different, but my advisor being the prof kind of helps. Like, he has some ideas for people/resources I can look into for data.
Finished my braids. They're a bit boneless ha. My parting technique needs work, the front and back are def unbalanced density-wise (I only used four bundles out of the eight I ordered). But that's okay just in case I'm not feeling the color and want to take them out quickly. I didn't really even try to "tuck" so my roots definitely show through, especially in the bigger sections at the back. I mean, no one would ever think I was a natural ginger anyway and that wasn't the goal. Ultimately, I think the color is cute, and having so much left means I should be able to do another set some day, or maybe I can use this color for accents around the bangs/temples with my typical black. I'll give it a week to decide how I really feel about it. Pretty sure I'm going for minitwists next, though. Maybe twice. Just to give my hair some time to breathe.
Read through my SOP to my current uni last night to prep for tomorrow's talk and boy I sure did sound confident. Like, the words are certainly mine, but the tone is so unlike me. I fear the woman who wrote that (...in an afternoon, no less).
Anyway I got some good feedback from my advisor on my talk today. Implementing it now. It's a lot of little stylistic notes. I'm worried that I'm going to go over time. We'll see. It's not for a grade in the typical sense, but I'd argue that this is just as if not more important than any "grade" I'm getting in my other classes. Coursework is a semester-long endeavor. Several intense weeks. I'm going to be in this department for years. Gotta make a good first impression.
[edit, a few hours later: spent wayyy too long trying to perfect this presentation when the best thing i can do for myself rn is go to bed]
Today I'm thankful that listening to vgm doesn't hurt as much anymore.
(vgm is entrenched into my personal brand at this point so I've got some catching up to do if I want to keep my steak of 6(?) years straight of having a vgm composer as my top artist, and Vincent Diamante deserves it by now tbh. unfortunately listening to the skyrim ambience while watching a 12-hour landscape walk on youtube isn't counting for anything)

My 2022 Animation Overview
This last year was my first year getting into animation. While I’m not fortunate enough to be able to afford college to go the professional route of this kind of art career, I am lucky to have the support to try and push my way in as an amateur anyway. So now here I am, with eleven months of self teaching experience under my belt.
Tumblr media
I started back in February with this one here. My first ever animation (and first ever copyright strike, yay for youtube’s auto flagger not knowing how fair use law works ;u;). I’ve been lucky that this one is only one of two of my animatics that I’ve been able to spot a mistake in post upload.
Tumblr media
This one was a shorter one that I managed to get done in only a couple weeks, and probably the one I’m least proud of at this point from it’s lack of substance. Still, every bit helps me learn, and it was still cute.
Tumblr media
And now to my most popular animation so far! I was very happy so many people liked this one, especially since Vincent is my favorite character in VTSoM, I got to have a lot of fun making it- I’ll definitely be making more Vincent centric ones. Like the one I have in the works right now... ;)
Tumblr media
Ye ol classic meme animatic, The Hole. Everyone who watches meme animations for their fandoms has seen some variation of this one. This was mine. This was where I started using more repeat “assets” (read: drawings) for the sake of consistency and saving myself time, for the first time.
Tumblr media
And another classic meme approach, vines. I plan on making two more of these for VTSoM in particular, but I will keep them spaced out since they’re a little more exhaustive to make. A lot of unrelated scenes with so many different characters being drawn out over two or three months is, well, a lot!
Tumblr media
And finally something from a different fandom! ...listen, I am a fnaf fan on tumblr, Sun and Moon brainrot is par for the course here. This particular animatic was another short one that came after two months of bad art block and life stress and me getting sick back to back. I needed a simple thing to come back with. Not to mention, I got an art tablet as a gift during the holidays, which was a major upgrade for me, so I had to learn (and am still learning) to use a totally new animation program! Thus, this silly little thing.
And that’s all for ‘22!
If you read through this whole thing, thank you! I know I don’t really post my art as often as some folks so it’s harder to tell, but I do work hard and near constantly on creating things. Lately that’s been largely animations, so I don’t have a whole lot of time for other things. And while I’d love to do this all for free, we do live under capitalism and I have to be able to pay for vet bills and groceries. So if you’d like to and are able to yourself, please consider checking out my Patreon! I post weekly updates of my animation progress as well as occasional random WIPs and sketches. Anyway, thanks again, and happy 2023!
