Hey tumblr!

So I don't know if it counts but here is how my first day went into the challenge. So I tried waking up at 4 am and I did but i dozed off again as the weather was quite cold.

Then I woke up by 9 am and took lecture 1 from Cs50 about SCRATCH. Then I built a Scratch project, a rough fruit ninja game. "I'll share link to my projects here soon."

I tried listening to another lecture, but I felt quite unmotivated.

Highly disappointed by DAY1 but won't drop here. So I am listing my Day 2 targets here.

1. Complete Python course on Sololearn and Kaggle both.

2. Complete Java course on Sololearn and w3s.

3. See Android studio basics.(YOUTUBE)

4. Complete one certification on freecodecamp.

It's lot and unrealistic but this way i can get atleast half done. 😂😂

Also waking up at 4 am for sure.

P.s. Taking writing challenge too, will share poems and short stories shortly.

Day 3: December 23, 2020

General

I wanted to run JavaScript in my Atom editor, so I found a few tutorials/articles/posts to help me do that. For reference:

Install “script” in Atom Settings installer

Download + install node.js

Open new file in Atom + choose “JavaScript” as language in bottom right corner.

Write code. Use [command + i] to run code.

So now I can practice writing JavaScript outside of Codecademy.

Reflection

Running JS on Atom ended up being more difficult than I feel like it should have been. It’s interesting to see “tutorials” on it because no one seems to understand that if you aren’t already running programs, you likely aren’t going to understand codespeak or how to do most of the things the [non]helpful people are sharing. Just tell me what package to download and be done with it. I didn’t understand what my error messages were saying when trying to run a very basic code, so I’m definitely not going to understand your “help” that involves opening up dev files on my Mac (?!). So yeah. I feel that my 4 step process above is proof that you don’t always need to make things so complicated.

Or maybe I’m ignorant and will laugh at myself for the above statement in the future.

Also, I went through a couple Codecademy modules today and am feeling very overwhelmed with functions and JavaScript in general. It really is like learning a new language and it’s hard because I don’t have any foundational vocab or syntactical understanding. cool cool cool

Hey tumblr!

I am so sorry!! For I have not updating for 2 days. I was stuck in a lot to do. That wasn't much code.

I feel like tumblr is my diary now. I turned in a hefty 80 page assignment and now am onto physics damn!Deadlines!!

A little change of plans. I have been doing a lot of setup work, like setting up gradlefor android studio, installing node and reading o'Reilly's.

I have been learning Latin and Spanish together! It's amazingly fun. Quis est vir?

Next I've been doing quite dangerous doodling stuff and writing poems, I wrote a song too.

I will post the recording of song by today.

So what about Code?

I will be doing my freecodecamp certifications, python and kaggle for a while.

I have few game ideas for scratch let's see how that goes. Oh I forgot to post my Scratch game. Super soon!!❤

You can call me Zoe.

Stuck in quarantine I felt like I can be next Mark or Bezos, like almost everyone but when I started this was messy! You never know, what language, what platform or what project to start with.

So I am gonna take a 30 days of code challenge and update everyday course and complete roadmap in detail. In the process I am planning to make Facebook and Instagram bots and other similar stuff. Game development is going to be an essential part.

I don't have a YouTube otherwise I'd sure send in clips there. But I'll see what can be done.
