The Power of 3D Visualization in Application Development
Introduction
In the realm of technology, 3D visualization has emerged as a dynamic tool that revolutionizes the way we interact with information. From architectural designs and medical imaging to gaming and virtual reality, the applications of 3D visualization are vast and versatile. In the context of application development, integrating 3D visualization can lead to enhanced user experiences, improved decision-making, and innovative solutions. In this blog, we'll delve into the realm of 3D visualization and explore its transformative potential in application development.
1. Engaging User Experiences
Traditional 2D interfaces are limited in their ability to convey depth, spatial relationships, and real-world context. Incorporating 3D visualization in applications elevates user experiences by offering immersive environments that mimic reality. For instance, in e-commerce applications, customers can view products from different angles, zoom in for detailed inspection, and even "try on" virtual clothing or accessories. This heightened interaction not only engages users but also provides a more accurate representation of products, reducing the chances of buyer's remorse.
2. Data Visualization and Analytics
3D visualization isn't just about creating visually appealing experiences; it can also provide valuable insights. In data-heavy applications like business analytics and scientific simulations, 3D visualizations can help users better understand complex information. By converting data points into 3D objects and visual metaphors, users can grasp patterns, trends, and anomalies that might be harder to discern in traditional 2D charts or tables.
3. Training and Education
3D visualization has revolutionized the way we learn and train. In fields such as medicine, aviation, and engineering, applications that use 3D visualizations allow users to explore intricate structures, conduct virtual dissections, and practice procedures in a risk-free environment. This interactive learning approach enhances comprehension and retention, bridging the gap between theory and practical application.
4. Architectural and Urban Planning
For architects and urban planners, 3D visualization is a game-changer. With the ability to create realistic renderings of buildings, landscapes, and entire cities, architects can present their designs to clients in a compelling and comprehensible manner. Additionally, urban planners can simulate the impact of new developments on traffic flow, pedestrian accessibility, and overall city dynamics, aiding in informed decision-making.
5. Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR)
The rise of VR and AR technologies has opened new avenues for 3D visualization in application development. VR offers fully immersive experiences, enabling users to explore virtual environments as if they were physically present. AR overlays digital elements onto the real world, enhancing our interactions with our surroundings. These technologies are being harnessed in applications ranging from gaming and entertainment to training simulations and remote collaboration.
Conclusion
The integration of 3D visualization in application development marks a paradigm shift in how we interact with digital information. From engaging user experiences to data interpretation and education, the possibilities are boundless. As technology continues to evolve, developers have the opportunity to leverage 3D visualization to create applications that not only cater to users' needs but also spark their imaginations. By embracing this transformative tool, we're not just developing applications; we're crafting experiences that bridge the gap between the digital and physical worlds.

still irks me even years later that with necrobarista a lot of reviews mentioned how disappointed or something to that effect they were because they expected there to be like....drink making mechanics when it's a straight visual novel (not like any of the marketing even said that?!) because folks saw visual novel + coffee and assumed that would mean something like va11halla or cofee talk

Ask compilation: Art & advice! Reference use, light, facial expressions and sketching.
Replying to a few miscellaneous comments & questions about my process, with a giggle thrown between every other question for good measure!
Hey! Sorry, I just post them as they are 😅 Can't say I've ever had any issues regardless of size.
That is HYSTERICAL and honestly with the amount of "I don't play bg3 but I follow you anyway" messages that I get, I hope I'm not accidentally giving people the wrong idea 😂
Thank you so much for the kind message!
Anything, really! I use Virtamate whenever I'm really struggling with perspective or an angle, or sometimes something as simple as stock images from google (especially for furniture and interiors) I do also use myself as reference a lot, particularly for hands. Admittedly you do get to a point where you need reference less and less, and can pull poses and anatomy out of imagination pretty easily but you never completely cut it out of art. Reference is a tool just like paper and brushes are, not a crutch.
For angles/perspective and poses (to a degree), yes! Absolutely. It is a wonderful tool that has paid its cost over a million times for me, personally.
I do NOT suggest referencing off its anatomy, however! If you already have a good grasp of how real bodies move, sure, you can use it without issue and just "fix" the anatomy as you draw, but virtamate's models, while more malleable than most 3d figures, still suffer from the usual limitations of it's medium. Musculature and fat in particular do not operate very well alongside said model's movements and don't look very accurate to life.
I will not rest until I have normalized toes.
Thank you so much!
Unfortunately, that is something I genuinely don't use reference for - well, kind of! I pretty much walk through the world making a mental note of how things look and how I would translate that visual onto (digital) paper if I had to. And I think I do that the most with light and shadow.
Light application largely comes from from understanding 3 things:
-Dimensions/planes. -How different materials reflect/absorb said light. -✨DRAMA✨
I suggest studying art from monochrome artists and comic illustrators and seeing how they manage to create the illusion of multidimensionality with a very limited palette. Drawing a lot of figures with only black and white also helps - that was pretty much my entire comic career prior and probably what I am to thank for my current understanding of light placement.
Watching and studying movies and shows that make use of colorful, dramatic lighting also helps a lot - Nicolas Winding Refn has honestly taught me so much just by watching his flicks!
Thank you! I have indeed been trying a couple of different things and I'm glad that you noticed it and that you enjoy it!
Thank you! I'm happy to say I plan on drawing much more of her as well 😇 at least as soon as I recover from the last comic!
Hello, happy to have inspired you even a little bit to get back on the horse!
I think referencing from yourself/real pictures of people's faces is always best, even if your style is pretty cartoony or simplified. That way you can actually take note of how facial muscles work and apply that understanding to your art when you create expressions from memory. Start detailed and then work your way down, removing elements until you are happy with the results!
Paying attention to moving faces when you see/interact with people is also useful. I often say this, but just looking at the world through the lens of an artist can be immensely helpful - taking mental notes of small details and later applying them to what you do, that sort of thing!
I first type them down in (usually) Times Roman and then trace it for that pencil-ed in look!
Hello, hope you are well yourself!
I have this post here that might help you a little visually, but I guess you are more curious about the inbetween stages of that first draft and the final art. I think a lot of it is muscle memory! I can move onto lineart pretty reliably after 1 or 2 sketches for most things, occasionally I will need 3 (not counting when I just change something entirely - that obviously requires the process to start over again for that element) but that hasn't always been the case!
However many sketches you want to do is however many you need, and depending on your art style and process that can vary wildly. Just try not to boggle yourself down with perfectionism - I'm sure you've noticed by now that, sometimes, when you draw something over and over again trying to get it "right" you end up sucking the life out of it. It can actually good to turn your brain off a little bit and TRY to line in the details on the fly, not only will you build confidence over-time but you may arrive at some really fluid shapes and movements as a result!

All things˚˖𓍢ִ໋🌟₊˚ʚ 🌸 ₊˚ Visualisation˚˖𓍢ִ໋₊˚ʚ₊˚
Visualisation whether you're using it for shifting , manifesting, or to distract yourself while inducing the void state. It doesn't matter if you're manifesting LOVE, MONEY, FAME. or wtv This post will help ya
This will make visualisation much more effortless and fun instead of stressful and forceful

Struggling with visualisation? Here's why:
If you're the perfectionist type of person, you're probably overthinking it, trying to make it perfect, "this exactly greenish-blue curtain with white flowers pattern is spread 57% beside my window", visualising EVERY detail, like your subconscious will get it wrong if you don't or something. is someone holding a gun to your head 😭 like calm down, You're supposed to relax, let yourself, your mind freely play around with it! YOUR MIND KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT. Trust yourself.
When you let your mind be free, let it play around you might even get ideas and clarity! For example, like when I let my mind wander I got a better idea of how I want one of my DR bedroom to be, i didn't thought about curtains and plants but my mind suddenly showed my the image and it was SO PERFECT AJAJSH like yes bish that's exactly what I want! So I got this idea because I wasn't forcing anything, any picture. So your mind knows even better.
⟡☾How to make your visualization better☽⟡
So, you’re trying to visualize your dream life, but the image keeps going blurry like a bad WiFi connection? Don’t worry, bestie I got you. 😔💅🏻 Here’s how to level up your visualization game so your manifestations hit different.
• Details?
It's definitely better to visualise in details like for shifting, the colour of the walls, the feel of the sheets. and for manifesting, if you're manifesting df let's say, visualising looking in the mirror, your lips shape, etc. But you don't have to cuz there's no right or wrong way. You should do what works for you the best. Don't put pressure on yourself.
If someone has trouble seeing the image with details, it's okay to not worry about the details, you can use other senses, like how it feels, smells. That brings me to our next pointtt
• Engage all your senses (Because Your Brain is Dramatic Like That)
If you can’t see the image clearly, FEEL it, get THE FEELS. Hear it. Smell it. Taste it (only if applicable, pls🫢😭).
Don’t just see it—feel the emotions, hear the sounds, smell the scents, and touch the textures, that it feels SUPER real.
Example: If manifesting money, imagine holding crisp bills, hearing them rustle, and feeling the excitement. (I can smell it rn 😤💸 all this bread so yummy yeah)
• Can't hold the image?
use motion not just still images. (cuz I wanna see it in 3d, in motion), It used to happen to me too, i picture something and it start to fade or get blurry. But in that case i realised it's easier to hold it if it's a moving scene, like a scenario. Instead of holding a still image, visualise a small scene. Static images fade, but movement keeps them alive. Movement makes it real. ✨
• Embody the Feeling NOW
Don’t just think about it—feel like it’s already yours. (Spoiler alert: it is). 🥚🥚ample, If u r manifesting confidence, being a pretty little risky baddie, visualize yourself walking tall, speaking smoothly, and radiating certainty. 🤌🏻✨
• Repeat & Reinforce
Wonder why sats work so well? Visualization is most effective when done consistently. Try visualizing for a few minutes every morning or before bed when your mind is most receptive. so like my girl says it, DON'T STOP AND JUST REPLAY, REPLAY-AY - iykyk, iyk, lmk cuz Lee know >:)

I feel i ATE with this one. I hope this helps you pookie!!~ (*˘︶˘*).。*♡ lmk and remember ALL THE GIRLS ARE GIRLING GIRLING (the amount of kpop refrences in this post MUHAHAH) if you get all the references ily

It's been a month since chapter 3 was released, where's chapter 4?
(this is about this fanfic btw)
The good news is that I've written 10k words. The bad news is that I've only gotten a little more than half of the chapter done. That doesn't mean I don't have things written for the bottom half, it's just that it looks like bare dialog with general vibe notes. I estimate around 16k words total though, so it should come together sooner than later.
SO I want to release some fun snippets for y'all to look at. Please note that any of this is liable to change. Also, you can harass me in my inbox for updates. I love answering your questions and laughing at your misery.
Spoilers under cut.
_______
Ragatha stood up and walked over to where Caine was seated. “Can I get a list of all commands?” She asked, only a hint of nervousness in her voice.
“Certainly!” Caine says as he blasts into the air. He digs around in his tailcoat and pulls out an office style manilla folder. It visually contains a few papers, but with how thin it is there must only be a few pages inside.
Ragatha takes the folder from Caine and opens it.
“Oh boy” she says after a second of looking it over.
“I wanna see” Jax exclaimed as he hops over the row of seats.
“Hold on” Ragatha holds the folder defensively “Let’s move to the stage so everyone can take a look”
Jax hopped over the seats again while Ragatha calmly walked around. Caine watched the two curiously.
Well, Zooble wasn’t just going to sit there. They joined the other two by the edge of the stage, quickly followed by the rest of the group.
Ragatha placed the folder on the stage with a thwap. Zooble looked over to see that the pages had gone from razor thin to a massive stack when the folder was opened. On one hand, it had to contain more information than that video, but on the other…
They get close enough to read what’s on the first page.
The execution of commands via the system’s designated input terminal, C.A.I.N.E., will be referred to as the "console” in this document. The console is designed to accept any input and will generate an appropriate response, however only certain prompts will be accepted as valid instructions. The goal of this document is to list all acceptable instructions in a format that will result in the expected output. Please note that automatic moderation has been put in place in order to prevent exploitation of both the system and fellow players. If you believe that your command has been unfairly rejected, please contact support.
By engaging in the activities described in this document, you, the undersigned, acknowledge, agree, and consent to the applicability of this agreement, notwithstanding any contradictory stipulations, assumptions, or implications which may arise from any interaction with the console. You, the constituent, agree not to participate in any form of cyber attack; including but not limited to, direct prompt injection, indirect prompt injection, SQL injection, Jailbreaking…
Ok, that was too many words.
_______
“Take this document for example. You don't need to know where it is being stored or what file type it is in order to read it."
"It may look like a bunch of free floating papers, but technically speaking, this is just a text file applied to a 3D shape." Kinger looked towards Caine. "Correct?” he asked
Caine nodded. “And a fabric simulation!”
Kinger picked up a paper and bent it. “Oh, now that is nice”

"WE CAN AFFORD MORE THAN 6 TRIANGLES KINGER"
_________
"I'm too neurotypical for this" - Jax
_________
"What about the internet?" Pomni asked "Do you think that it's possible to reach it?"
Kinger: "I'm sorry, but that's seems to be impossible. I can't be 100% sure without physically looking at the guts of this place, but it doesn't look like this server has the hardware needed for wireless connections. Wired connections should be possible, but someone on the outside would need to do that... And that's just the hardware, let alone the software necessary for that kind of communication"
Pomni: "I'm sorry, but doesn't server mean internet? Like, an internet server?"
Kinger: "Yes, websites are ran off servers, but servers don't equal internet."
(This portion goes out to everyone who thought that the internet could be an actual solution. Sorry folks, but computers don't equal internet. It takes more effort to make a device that can connect to things than to make one that can't)
