The wake up is sudden, abrupt and extremely painful. You know what’s going on, but the second you try and do something about it, you find yourself sinking to the floor beside the bed in misery.
You really don’t want to walk downstairs, that’s gonna be misery. But if you don’t get and remedy this soon, you fear it’s just going to become worse.
It also sucks because your boyfriend isn’t home. You’d really, really like him to be home. But he isn’t. He’s out looking for an elusive Special Grade curse that nearly took out Mei Mei a few weeks ago on behalf of the stupid elders.
You’d curse them more if you didn’t feel like shit.
You burrow your head into the mattress and focus. Gathering up a little bit of energy, you stand and make your way to the kitchen, only to end up sitting down by the cabinets. You groan, knees up close to your chest to try and relieve some of the pain. You’re tempted to bang your head into the cabinets a few times, but the rationality of not adding more pain to the mix won over.
You can barely think straight; one second there’s the thought of running a bath and the next it’s waves of pain. You think about what’s in the fridge, then you’re overwhelmed by the intense need to barf.
“Fuck,” you mutter.
And then a loud voice echoes through the large home from your bedroom.
“Baaaaaabbbeeee!”
You snicker at your boyfriend who teleported into the bedroom that doesn’t have you in it. You hide your laughter behind your hand until another wave of agony rolls over your uterus and up your spine.
Satoru eventually finds you in the kitchen (after looking in the bathroom and under the bed). His smile disappears the second he sees you, but you don’t take notice since your forehead is burrowed into the wood of the cabinet door. He frowns, not liking the expression on your face.
“Baby?”
Satoru crouches and lowers the black mask you’d gotten him for his birthday. His heavenly blue eyes flicker up and down with worry.
“Monthly,” you manage to get out, and he instantly knows what you mean. Your entire body shakes with a shudder, so much so that the giant man is easily lifting you onto his lap to cuddle, his back now the one that presses against the wall of the kitchen.
Satoru is a heater, nothing short of the furnace that you’ve been in need of. One large, hot hand is pressed against your back, the other tucked against your lower abdomen in just the right spot. And the relief you feel makes you literally dizzy.
Your massive boyfriend however, is even more concerned than ever. The amount of stress he’d felt release from your body was nothing short of insane to him. You’d always relax and let go of all your stress in his hold, yes, but the amount of tension to how limp you were in his big arms was borderline upsetting.
You’ve never been this tense, this stressed. How long had you been like this before he was home?
“I’ll be okay,” you speak to him breathlessly. “I just need something for the pain and something to eat.”
Satoru lists off some things in the pantry and fridge, all of which makes your stomach turn and just burrow your head into his shoulder more. It isn’t until he gets to the sweeter side of the food you do have does the nausea fade away.
He reluctantly pulls away and grabs a familiar looking container on top of the fridge with a mischievous smile, one of his hands still holding yours as he stretches his massive 6’3 body across the kitchen to nab the period painkillers you need.
You don’t see him shove them and a small water bottle in his pocket, but you see him wrap his giant hand around the white container right before he fucking lifts you up off of the counter with one fucking arm and carries you back to bed.
But you don’t complain. You’re way too lethargic and fatigued. And why would you anyway?
He places you back on your side of the bed and gently plops the white container on your lap before kicking off his shoes and whips off his jacket so dramatically that you laugh. You scream as he jumps on the bed, almost on top of you. Satoru does nothing but laugh like a lunatic in return while he turns on the TV across from the bed.
Like magnets, you two end up snuggled deep into the big, thick pillows your boyfriend has propped up behind you in an instant. One of his arms is wrapped around you as you nestle into his side. But the fun doesn’t last. Your brows furrow as another wave of searing pain washes over you from your uterus. You groan and dip your nose into his collar, sharply inhaling and shakily exhaling.
“Here’s the magic pills, baby. Take ‘em.” Satoru’s voice is not the same, high-pitched excitable one he normally has. It’s the deep voice, the one he uses when he’s diving into his emotions. It’s the voice that he uses when he’s sharing his love with you in bed, or when he’s simply just loving you and taking care of you. Just like he is now. The tone of his voice is calming, relaxing, reassuring; all of the above makes your brain go fuzzy.
You pop the pill-shaped-relief in and chug it down with water and ‘toru wraps his arm around you, tugging you to him sweetly. He pops open the large white container, revealing all the chocolate chip cookies inside of it.
You laugh. “Oh my god, Satoru! This is what this is?”
“What else could it possibly be?” he jokes.
Not even a few minutes later though, the agony returns. The tearing feeling from your uterus is almost too much, lasting almost all the way through the Disney castle intro and the first couple minutes of Big Hero 6 with your head tucked into your boyfriend’s collar.
Satoru presses a kiss to your head and puts his hands in the same spots from earlier, with just as much tension leaving your body. He exhales silently.
“Go to sleep, baby,” he tells you. “It’s not worth it.”
“Want to…” you mumble, then let out a heavy sigh as heavy cramps roll over you again. “You’ve been gone a week.” You aim for a cookie and eat it in two bites.
Just like the cookies, you’re sweet — too sweet and too good for him, and he swears by it. He presses another kiss to the top of your head and replies, “Spend time with me by getting some sleep. I’ll be here when you wake up. And I’ll take care of you tomorrow, too. Whatever my girl wants.”
“…. Sure?”
“Positive.”
“…..Mmmmm’kay.”
Satoru knows you’re still awake and working through the pain even half an hour later. You may not be watching the movie, but you’re still listening, giggling when Fred screams, “CAR!” to Wasabi as the villain tries to kill them.
It’s not too long after that though, he feels your cursed energy finally relax. Your body is clearly slack against his own. He chuckles at feeling a little bit of drool soak through his shirt. You’re in a deep sleep, thank goodness. And he hopes it stays that way. The medicine worked. He wasn’t sure if his eyes could take the sight of your cursed energy bearing that much sufferance much longer before cracking himself.
Satoru closes his own heavenly blue eyes to sleep. Yeah, he’ll definitely be here tomorrow. Taking care of his woman was going to be his first priority. Mission be damned.
”G’night sweets. See you in the morning.”

word count: 1,298
warnings: mentions of blood (period), swearing
summary: mike takes care of you while you're on your period. completely unaware to how it all works, he does the best he can, trying to educate himself in the process.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
You were in pain. That was one thing you knew for sure. For the past two days, your insides had felt like Satan himself was ripping them out, tearing each part of your uterus into tiny, itty bitty pieces, perhaps even doing a little happy dance on them. As your body was stretched out on the couch, your hand gripping your abdomen, you felt like your life was flashing before your eyes. You'd called off work, waking up feeling worse than you had during that time of the month in a while. You couldn't picture yourself doing much of anything but laying on the couch in the living room of your boyfriend, Mike, and his little sister, Abby, who was much like your own. You'd slept over the night before, opting to stay there as you felt much more comfortable.
Once a month, you became queen bitch, completely insufferable to be around. You were grumpy, sick, nauseous, and aching. You couldn't help it. Your cramps were always amplified more than the average person. Your pain tolerance seemed to get weaker when the time came. With that being said, everyone around you had to suffer the consequences. You and Mike had only been together a few months. Every month, he'd get a little bit better about handling it. The first month, he was slightly standoffish, not sure if his assistance would make things worse or if it would help you. He'd offer you pain medicine, get you water when you needed it, and fetch the heating pad when you cried out in pain. He was always sympathetic, helpless in his inability to make your pain disappear. Mike loved you, and the last thing he wanted was for you to ache the way that you did.
In the following two months, he'd gotten more adventurous, even offering to go out and buy your preferred pads and tampons. Even though he brought back the wrong thing the first time (he brought back the preteen pads, which would not be helpful to your heavy flow), he was sure to correct it the next. With his learning curve coming to an end, Mike was much better with his assistance. Right as your eyes began to flutter closed, the front door to Mike's door flung open, an exhausted Mike walking through, his hair messy and his skin somewhat pale due to his lack of sleep. Although he was working normal human hours now after getting a regular job, the adjustment period was difficult. He somehow felt even more sleep-deprived than before. You slowly sat up, a confused look on your face as you glanced over at the time. It was only noon, which didn't make sense. Mike typically wouldn't be home until around 5:30pm.
"Mike?" you questioned, your voice laced with pain as your head cocked to the side.
"Yeah, baby?" he questioned back, placing three plastic bags from the store onto the coffee table in front of you. He sat beside you on the couch, moving your legs to lay across his lap. He tenderly reached his hand across you, his warm palm slipping under your shirt to touch your aching stomach. He rubbed slow and gentle circles on the tender area, a sigh of relief leaving your lips as it somewhat relieved the pain. "You feelin' any better?" he spoke softly, his tone dripping with sympathy and worry.
"Why are you home? What's in the bags?" You were confused. You didn't mean to sound like a bitch, but the pain was making you somewhat delirious, and the thought of him simply coming home early just didn't occur to you. He chuckled, shaking his head as he playfully rolled his eyes.
"Can you not just let me take care of you for once?" he grumbled, grabbing the plastic bags from the table and placing them gently into your laps. In the first bag, he pulled out a brand new pain reliever bottle and miniature heating pads. They were wireless and single-use. You could stick them into your pants and wear them around wherever you needed. He also pulled out a new bubble bath, lavender scented, that claimed to have infused pain-relieving essential oils. The next bag contained your favorite kind of chocolate, some other kinds of candy, and a little stuffed bear. The bear wasn't any bear, but one that could be heated up and again used as a heating pad. Inside of the same bag, he also pulled out a brand new box of the right kind of tampons and a bouquet of flowers. The last bag contained burgers and fries from your favorite fast-food place, something yummy to get into your aching system.
You watched in awe as he pulled out each item, a sheepish but proud grin spread across his face as he did so. He was proud of himself, mostly because he felt useful, he felt like for once he was the one taking care of you. Mike typically felt like a burden, like he wasn't worth caring for, regardless of how much you attempted to convince him otherwise. Times like these were important to him, times when he could make you feel safe, secure, loved.
"I, uh, heard you this morning. I realized you were in a lot of pain, wanted to do something nice. I took the day off of work, thought I'd surprise you with some stuff to make you feel good. Got us some lunch too, thought maybe we could go lay down in the bed and watch movies, eat some junk together? I'll take real good care of you," he said, scratching at the back of his neck with a hopeful grin. You looked back at him with your own wide grin, the churning cramps in your stomach not subsiding but instead simply not your main focus at the moment. You nodded your head, leaning forward and pressing a soft kiss to his lips.
You helped him carry the brand-new goods and the food to the bedroom. You plopped down onto the bed as Mike leaned over you, gently kissing your head. He tucked you into the blankets, ensuring you were nice and warm. He closed the curtains tightly, all too aware of the vision-blurring headaches you got on your period. He put up one finger to signal he'd be right back. Once he returned, he had a glass of water and heated up your brand-new heating pad bear. He placed your wired heating pad onto the small of your back, pressing two kisses to your forehead again. He then insisted you lift your head, helping you to swallow the pills. After, Mike cuddled up next to you in bed.
The two of you watched random movies and TV shows for the rest of the day, his hand seldom leaving your stomach. He constantly had you wrapped up near him. He kept you medicated and fed, refusing to leave your side. Mike was content. Even though you were a bitch during this time, you were appreciative. He loved you and it was clear, he'd do anything to take care of you.
While deep into the show you were watching, you felt a pair of eyes staring into the side of your head. You lifted your head, looking over to Mike with a cocked eyebrow. "Yes..?" you questioned, staring at his somewhat nervous expression.
"Um, do you think, you could maybe explain periods to me? Y'know, all of it, the bloody stuff, the moody stuff.. I just.. wanna be prepared for Abby," he asked sheepishly. A chuckle left your lips as you shook your head.
"Of course, Mikey. I can explain it to you," you hummed, pressing a kiss to his lips before you went into detail, explaining female anatomy to your 25-year-old boyfriend.

pairing: Lee Minho X Fem!Reader
warnings: menstrual cycle/reader is on her period, the tiniest bit of angst, miscommunication/poor communication skills??? brief mention of cheating (hardly), fluff, soft!minho, literally so soft wahhh ;v;
A/N: This was completely self indulgent. I started writing this when I was on my period and I just now got around to finishing it. This is me actively avoiding working on the soulmate series. Anyways enjoy soft Minho because I cant get enough of him.
Tumblr media
It was almost like a 6th sense at this point. You were lounging on the couch, enjoying your day off. Some shitty rom-com playing on the TV making you way more emotional than it normally would. That was when you felt it, seemingly out of nowhere. The all too familiar ache in your bones and muscles, followed by the odd cramping in your lower stomach. You let out a loud groan as you realized what was coming.
You tried to ignore it the best you could, opting to fetch your heating pad from the bedroom and taking a pain reliever in hopes of lessening the aches. Though it seems like your own body is determined to ignore your attempts to soothe it because the pains only worsened.
Thankfully your boyfriend of 3 months was at dance practice so he wasn't there to hear the pathetic whimpers that you let out when a cramp was particularly aggressive. It's not that you thought he would judge you, you know he wouldn't. It’s just that as sweet as Minho was, he loved to tease you. While normally you would play along and tease him right back something told you that you couldn't handle his teasing words today.
Once you felt the hot water touch your skin you let out a sigh, finally feeling a brief respite from what seemed like endless torture. As ridiculous as it felt, you let yourself sink to the floor, resting your back against the cool shower wall, allowing your eyes to slip shut and enjoying the warmth of the water.
The sound of your front door opening and closing had you opening your eyes. You knew it was Minho, hearing him cooing at your cats before calling out your name. How long had you even been sitting here? Did he get out of practice early or had that much time passed since you got in the shower?
The sound of your front door opening and closing had you opening your eyes. You knew it was Minho, hearing him cooing at your cats before calling out your name. How long had you even been sitting here? Did he get out of practice early or had that much time passed since you got in the shower?
“Baby?” followed by two soft knocks on the door.
“Hey Min, I’m almost done in here, I'll be out soon.” You reached for your body wash, deciding to just wash up quickly, but stopped when he spoke again.
“That’s alright I'll just join you, I'm all sweaty from practice anyways.” Minho always joined you when you showered, he treasured the intimate moments you two would share. The domestic bliss that was quiet giggles and hushed conversations, not wanting to speak too loudly in fear of breaking the peaceful bubble that surrounded the two of you. It was truly one of his favorite things to do with you. The soft looks you would give him as you helped clean one another and your gentle hands massaging his scalp as you washed his hair for him always made his knees feel weak.
But he had been out of the country last month during the week of your previous period, and before that you had just begun dating after your period ended, making this new territory for your relationship. You weren't sure why but you felt embarrassment wash over you at the idea of mentioning your period. It was ridiculous, you knew that. You were both adults and he’s not oblivious to the idea of menstruation, his comforting words that he offered to you over the phone last month assured you of that. Yet you found yourself not wanting to tell him.
“Actually Min, I think I just wanna shower alone today.” Silence followed your words and you wondered if he had already gone to grab clothes to join you.
“...Oh alright.” A few more seconds of silence followed before he spoke again softer this time. “Have I done something to upset you?”
Your face scrunched up and you shook your head before realizing he couldn't see you.
“No no of course not” you answered a little too quickly, attempting to reassure him “Like I said I'm just about finished then the showers all yours!”
“You don't wanna shower with me?” He cleared his throat not wanting to come off as clingy but the pang of disappointment in his chest made him begin to question if he had done something wrong the last time you showered together. Was it because he spiked your hair up when he lathered it with your shampoo? You had laughed at the time, doing the same to him shortly after, and it quickly became one of his favorite memories with you. Maybe it was because when you had turned your back to him, he turned the water to freezing cold, a loud screech coming from you as you jumped from the water. He received a playful glare from you in return but he assumed things were okay because you had pulled him under the frigid water right after.
His downward spiral was interrupted when you spoke again “No! I do! You know I love showering with you, it's just…”  You trailed off having run out of excuses and not wanting to upset him further. Just like that his downward spiral had increased tenfold, his mind going to a much scarier idea. Now don't get him wrong Minho was NOT the type of guy to throw unfounded accusations around, but you had always been straightforward with him, your bluntness matching his almost to a T. So your seemingly evasive answers and hesitation had his heart in his throat. His next words had you feeling like someone had punched you in the stomach, his voice more hesitant and timid than you had ever heard him.
“...I-Is there someone in there with you?” He said it so softly you barely heard him over the sound of the water and your heart breaking in your chest.
“W-What? No. Of course not Min.” Trying to make sure your tone conveyed how serious you were. You prayed to god that he would believe you, That he trusted you enough to know that you would rather be burned alive than ever hurt him.
“I don't even know why I just asked that.. I know that you would never do that to me.” You relaxed a little at that. “I just.. had a rough day and I was looking forward to this so when you said you wanted to be alone my mind just went to a weird place.”
“Oh Min… I’m so sorry. I didn't mean to worry you” You sighed again looking down at your pruned fingertips. “I really do want you to join me... It’s just…you can't.” God just tell him you idiot! Beating around the bush and upsetting him all because you're too embarrassed of something so stupid.
“Cant?” You could practically see his eyebrows pinching together and the confused pout on his face.
“It’s embarrassing…” You were clenching your fists trying to choke down the humiliated whine that was trapped in your throat. Your eyes were burning with tears now, your lower lip beginning to tremble with every moment of silence as Minho racked his brain.
You hated how you felt right now. This is Minho we’re talking about. The same man who texted his mom bursting with excitement when you agreed to go out on a date with him. She had shown you the very texts when you met her for the first time and you dont think youve ever seen Minho turn a deeper shade of red. The very same Minho that despite how much he loves watching horror films with you, insists on keeping his kitty plushie tucked into his side the entire duration of the movie. He claims it's to offer you comfort in case you felt afraid no matter how many times you assured him you weren't. The same Minho who would refuse to continue cooking dinner unless you joined him in wiggling his butt, emphatically stating that it was the only conditions he could work in.
There were misconceptions about Minho that even some of his closest friends believed. That he was standoffish and closed off. That he had a cold personality or that he couldn't be sweet and outwardly loving. You knew those ideas to be untrue even after your very first date. You swear to this day that he had somehow captured all the stars in the night sky in his eyes that night. His eyes gleamed with excitement and the soft smile never left his lips.
A month into your relationship you were surprised by just how affectionate he was (don't you dare ever mention it out loud though). Like clockwork every single day started with him latched around you in his sleep, his arms caging you against his firm chest and even his legs were locked around yours. Then while he made breakfast he would be sure to come and peck your forehead every few minutes while you watched him. When he would return from traveling away from home is when it was the most intense. He wouldn't even bother announcing his arrival before he was practically speed walking over to you and burying his face into your neck. He would stand there for a few minutes just inhaling your scent and gently rocking you back and forth before he would finally pull back enough to attach his lips to yours.
The realization that Minho had always been comfortable enough to be completely himself and totally uncensored around you had your heart clenching almost painfully. Yet here you were, a grown woman, too embarrassed to admit you were on your period. But before you could allow your frustrations with yourself grow any stronger Minho calling your name softly brought you back to reality.
“You're on your period?” You could sense the hesitation in his question, not wanting to make any sort of implications in the case that he was misreading what you said.
Offering a hum in response, the internal battle in your mind continued as you were still feeling quite frustrated with yourself. You pushed yourself up off the floor and quickly washed up before reaching out to turn the water off. Wanting to finish this conversation while being able to at least look at your boyfriend, you dried off quickly and wrapped yourself in a towel.
A frown made its way to your lips as you swung the bathroom door open only to be met with an empty hallway.
“Min?” you called out for him but got no response. You shut the door once again and slowly began to get dressed, pulling on one of his sweatshirts that you always wore when he was away. You took your time applying your skin care and hair oils as you once again choked back tears.
Dread was the next emotion you felt on today's emotional rollercoaster. Was he angry with you? Annoyed with how childish you had acted? Had he left? Or was he simply ignoring you as recompense for upsetting him?
You exited the bathroom and on your way to the kitchen you stopped just around the corner as Minhos voice caught your attention.
“...So when she gets out here you guys better help me out okay? We all have to do whatever we can to make her feel better. No slacking…I’m lookin’ at you Pudge.”
Poking your head around the corner you were met with Minhos back as he unboxed what looked like takeout from your favorite place up the street. Your cats were gathered around his feet looking up at him expectantly. He was still in his practice clothes, the sweat stains prominent on the gray material of his t-shirt. Yet you still found him to be devastatingly handsome even from behind. As he began plating the food you walked up behind him, wrapping your arms around his waist and resting your cheek between his shoulders.
You felt him tense for a second before he turned around to face you, gently pushing you away from him. He was quick to mumble something about being all gross from practice before your brain could misinterpret his actions. Still, he carefully took your face in his hands and placed a soft kiss on your forehead.
“I ran to grab you that food you've been craving all week.” He leaned to the side so your vision was met with all of your favorites spread out on your kitchen table. “I turned on your heating pad and grabbed your kitty plushie from your room… I figured we could watch a movie or something and I'll give you some back rubs after you finish eating?” There was a trace of nervousness in his eyes along with a bit of uncertainty. He was unsure what you wanted from him but he would do anything in his ability to make sure you were in the least amount of discomfort as you could be.
His eyes nearly fell out of his head when you started sniffling in front of him, your pretty eyes quickly filling with tears.
“Nonono baby dont cry, we don't have to do any of that.” He brought you into his chest and rocked you gently attempting to soothe your crying. Your sobs broken up by the giggles that came from his quick change of plans.
“That sounds perfect Min” You pulled back slightly to witness the relief that flooded his expression before he pressed his forehead to yours. “But only if you go shower first because you seriously stink” It was his turn to laugh as he scrunched his nose at you.
He pulled away to glance down at the cats that were still lurking by your feet.
“Alright guys… You're up.”

can you please please please please pleeeeease write smth super angsty with comfort with changbin 🫂
Cramping up.
Warning: Angst, blood, periods.
Summary: your cramps this time around are heavy and changbin’s “busy” schedule leads to something tragic.
Pairing: reader x Changbin
Two people requested for a Changbin angst. So here it is 🥰
**
Periods.
Y/n hated her period with everything in her but yet she was so relieved whenever it came around.
Her cramps were always a 9/10 and her body ached horrendously. She hated that time of month. Changbin also hated that time of the month because he hated seeing his girl in so much pain.
He always made sure to note when it would be arriving down. He also made sure to run to the grocery store to get her favorite snacks, run her a bath, rent out her favorite movies and buy her a pack of her medication but for some reason (it was quite obvious the reason) he had forgotten to do it this month.
You see, come back season was officially over and the boys were on a month long break. Yes! A month long break. Changbin (since he was a part of 3 racha) was the most excited for it because it meant that he could sleep in, play videos games and not have to worry about deadlines, music, etc.
He was in such an off mode that he ignored the whole world around him and at first Y/n accepted it because he did deserve this break but it was getting annoying because she too wanted to spend time with her boyfriend.
It was 5 in the evening. He was back on the game again. "Binnie?" She whimpered while her hands wrapped around her lower abdomen. Her body was heating up and her stomach was quite literally vibrating because of how much pain she was in.
"Changbin can you please pass me some painkillers from the cabinet?" She asked again due to the fact that Changbin didn't hear her the first time.
"Hm? What did you say babe?" He removed his headphones and slightly turned to look over at her, barely.
"Can you get me painkiller? They're in the bathroom."
"Okay give me a sec," he turned back to the his PC and unpaused the game. This not only angered and frustrated Y/n but it made her sad.
She was haunched over with tears in her eyes. The room was dark and the only source of light was coming from Chnagbins large PC and the bathroom.
The AC was running but she still could feel the heat radiating from her body.
She let out a little whine when she felt the cramps intensify. Changbins constant taps on the keyboard weren't helping her at all.
"Binnie please can you just-"
"Y/n chill for a sec and stop nagging me will you? You always tell me how I should relax and spend some me time but you constantly keep bugging me to do things for you, so please," he glared at you. The game being forgotten about. It took her a while to process what he said but her body had reacted way before her brain could catch up causing her to gasp and scoot away from him.
"I'm sorry, I'll let you be," she whispered and choked on her tears. Her heart rate was beating at a fast rate. The tears began to slowly fall down her cheeks.
He rolled his eyes and put back his headphones before mumbling a few words and continuing to play. He had no idea how much pain Y/n was in. It was obvious.
She watched him play as the tears were running down her face. Her heart was broken or maybe it was just the hormones talking? It didn’t matter to her because yeah even if she did tell Binnie to have time to rest and relax, he hadn’t even had time for her and now he was becoming very frustrated with her.
After what felt like forever, she gathered the little energy she had left and made her way to the bathroom. Her body shook vigorously at how much pain she was experiencing. Was this normal? She started to question.
She grabbed the pain killers from the cabinet and reached out to grab the cup for water. Everything was spinning now and she felt faint. The world was spinning at a fast space and as she filled the glass with water her body collapsed leaving shattered glass by her body.
Changbin started to feel guilty for snapping at her. He felt even more guilty when she went to get the painkillers she had asked him so nicely for and he decided he would apologize when she was back and maybe take her out for a movie.
The sound of the breaking glass gave Changbin a scare. At first he thought it was Y/n doing something and accidentally broke a glass but as he there was no more movement or human activity going on he got worried and quickly got up and followed the sound.
"Y/n? You okay?" He asked knocking but there was no answer. "Y/n?" He called once again while pushing the bathroom door open.
He gasped at the sight. She was laying on the ground with blood gushing out her head. What had happened? Was he this blind to notice she was this badly off? This is all his fault.
"Y/n?! Oh my God," he gasped and run to her side. "Baby?! Can you hear me?" He tried to softly wake her up but all he got in response was a groan and whimper.
His heart was beating at a high rate. His hands shaking and his body breaking a sweat. He grabbed his phone from his back pocket and quickly dialed and called their company medics.
He was then instructed to carry her to bed and put pressure on the wound that was gushing out blood so he did so and followed every little instruction He then had to wipe her face with cold water which instantly woke her up.
"Ow..."she groaned rubbing the side of her head. "Binnie?" She sobbed when she realized what was going on.
He could finally breathe. It was like a huge weight was lifted off his shoulders. He still didn’t stop wiping her face with the cold water. He wanted to make sure she would stay awake.
"Baby, what happened?" He instantly asked.
"I- I don't know," she sobbed again, "I was trying to get water cause my cramps hurt really bad. You didn’t want to get it for me and I just- everything went black," her voice was soft, Changbin could barely hear. Her tears upset him so much.
"Cramps?" He asked confused, "oh my God! I totally forgot, is it that time of the month already?" he smacked his forehead feeling guilty. "I'm so sorry my love, I was so mean to you yet you needed me," his lower lip quivered feeling bad for putting her through this.
She had no response tho, "Binnie, it hurts," she groaned again while holding her stomach and head. Her breakdown was getting worse.
“Babygirl, you need to breathe. Please. Your going to pass out again,”
“I-it hurts so bad Binnie,” she hiccuped. Changbin only knew one way to calm her down. He got into the other side of the bed and cuddled her. He rubbed circles on her back and she continued to tell her to breathe. Trying to comfort her in any way.
It broke his heart watching her in such a state. He felt like the worst boyfriend ever.
"I'll get you some pain meds yeah? We'll wait to the medics are here so we can see what to do after. Okay my love?" He was panicking again and it was so visible.
"I-I'll be okay," she held his hand for reassurance and she could physically see Changbin let out a huge sigh of relief.
When the medics had arrived, they were shocked that Y/n was even awake.
“Do you wanna tell me what happened?” The man asked her as he carefully cleaned the wound.
“I don’t know really. I was just waking to get water and pain killers. I just remember my cramps being really bad, the pain kept getting worse. Then I just passed out and I think I hit my head,” she explained.
“How bad was the pain?” He proceeded to ask. She winced at a sharp shoot pain that run through her head when he added a cream to the wound.
“It was on like an 9-“
“Her cramps are normally bad not this bad to the poibt she passes out,” Changbin cut her off trying to help.
“Alright, I think you’ll need to see a doctor about that because that could be a sign you body is telling you,” Changbin made sure to note to make an appointment later for the doctors. They examined her head wound one last time to make sure everything was okay and if it needed stitches or not. It didn't, which Changbin was greatful about because he didn't know how he would handle watch them physically stitch up his girlfriend.
"We're just going to give you a strong dose of  pain medicine because as I said passing out due to the fact of your period cramps is not normal. So we're going to push in some pain meds which may make you a little woozy," the man explained every step and every way.
“Is she allowed to eat after this?” Changbin asked. His hand was wrapped around hers trying to give her comfort.
“Yes she can, maybe cook her some soup. That normally helps.”
When he injected the pain medication into her IV bag, the extreme pain that lingered around her lower stomach and lower back slowly started to subside causing Y/n to moan in relief at how good it felt.
Her body was extremely exhausted and the feeling of sleep came over her.
The sudden need to be held and the craving of Changbin’s touch grew stronger. She knew she was still upset at him but she wanted him so badly.
"Changbin, come here," she said groggily. The medics had left the house and now Changbin was running around trying to clean up the mess and make her some food.
"What is it love?" He questioned while popping his head around the door frame.
"Can you come cuddle?" She groaned and pouted. He was trying so hard not to smile or giggle. He found her so cute.
“Alright let me finish fixing you a plate okay? I’m running to the store quickly to get your snacks and I’m putting blankets in the dryer so you can have warm blankets, just give me a few.”
He quickly walked over and gave her a kiss on the forehead even tho she was frowning. “I’ll be back soon, I promise. If you need anything just call. Okay?”
“Yeah,” she gave in and got comfortable in the bed. Her eyes slowly close as she fell into a deep sleep.
She was awaken by someone wrapping their hands around her waist.
“I’m back my love,” Changbin’s voice was quiet and soft.
“Binnie? I’m so tired,”
“Shall we get you into the shower? just a quick shower so you can eat and then sleep,” she shook her head allowing him to help her to the bathroom where she sat on the toilet as he was trying to get the right water temperature.
“Binnie, I’m so mad at you,” she said, deciding to squash the elephant in the room.
“I know my love,” he turned away from the shower and knelt infront of her. “I’m sorry for snapping at you like that, it’ll never happen again. Seeing you in so much pain and seeing you on the floor like that scared the shit out of me baby. It was my fault for not listening to you. Please forgive me,” his eyes were shining under the dim light. He looked to cute for Y/n to not accept his apology. She was an understanding girlfriend after all.
“It’s fine my love, I understand work was a lot and the come back this season was really tough. I just don’t want you to get mad at me like that again. Whenever something happens ,we talk about it. Okay?” She laid her hand on his cheek, cupping it.
“I love you, I promise it won’t happen again. Thank you for being the best girlfriend ever,”
“Your welcome Binnie, now go on strip me naked!” She giggled.
“Im guessing the painkillers worked?”
“Very very well! My head hurts just a little tho,” he got up and kissed her forehead.
“There, I hope the kiss fixes it.” He chuckled while helping her undress, “let’s get you washed up so we can cuddle and watch a movie.”

Good Girls Guide To: Periods
As a woman, periods are inevitable. so here’s my advice on how to make them more bearable.
Tumblr media
WARNING: Pads and tampons will be the only methods discussed. For further information on other methods please use a trusted source :)
1. Change your pad/tampon.
I know it seems like common sense to those used to it but to beginners it might not seem as straightforward.
Changing your pad and tampon every few hours is recommended so bacteria doesn’t build up and you don’t get an infection. Bacteria can build up no matter how heavy the flow so even if there isn’t anything visible there could still be something there.
Gynecologists recommend changing pads every 3-4 hours (depending on how heavy your flow is) and tampons every 4-8 hours. The heavier your flow, the more you should change them.
2. Swimming
Swimming on your period can be complicated. I’ve had my period for years and it still confuses me sometimes.
Using a pad while swimming is a big nono. When water gets into a pad it absorbs liquid and if it absorbs the water, there will be no room for blood essentially making it useless.
If you are swimming on your period, tampons are the way to go.
And no. Despite popular belief your period will not fully halt in water. While submerged, your period will stop because of water pressure but as soon as your body leaves the water it’s a free moment.
3. Sleeping
Absolutely do not sleep in a tampon. Sleeping a tampon is a high risk factor of Toxic Shock Syndrome. (https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/toxic-shock-syndrome/symptoms-causes/syc-20355384 more on that here)
Pads are more of a safe and, in my opinion, comfortable option.
4. Pads vs. Tampons
A big question for beginners is which should I use? I personally prefer pads for everyday use because they’re more comfortable for me.
Tampons are better for people who do things such as dance, workout, or swim.
Pads are easier to use while tampons are more of an advanced.
If you’re a beginner I recommend pads but see what makes you more comfortable.
5. Odor and Smell
If you smell yourself while on your period and wonder, “Oh my god can they smell me too?” 99% of the time, no they can’t.
Think about it. Have you ever been sitting in a room and randomly smell another woman? No? Then they most likely won’t smell you.
This is another reason why changing your pad/tampon is suuuuuper important. If you don’t change your pad/tampon, odor can and will become a problem eventually.
6. Cramps
I’m one of the lucky few who don’t suffer from extreme period cramps but I do understand them. Menstrual cramps happen when a chemical called prostaglandin makes your uterus tighten up. Although there is no way to stop them, there are ways to prevent them.
- Food: Foods such as water, fruits, dairy, and dark chocolate can help relieve period cramps.
- Hot Packs: Using a heating pad or hot packs can also help relieve period cramps.
- Exercise: I know, getting up and doing something is probably the last thing you want to do. But exercising is great at helping relieve menstrual pain.
- Ibuprofen: Pretty self explanatory.
Remember, your period is a blessing even though it doesn’t seem like it. Embrace it while it lasts :)
Thank you for reading and if you have any further questions don’t be afraid to ask!! 🤍

Adenomyosis and Pain: Relief Strategies That Can Help
Tumblr media
Adenomyosis is a condition where the tissue that normally lines the uterus (endometrium) grows into the muscular wall of the uterus. This can lead to heavy, painful periods and chronic pelvic pain. Women diagnosed with adenomyosis often experience debilitating symptoms that disrupt daily life. Fortunately, several strategies can help manage the pain associated with adenomyosis and improve quality of life.
Understanding Adenomyosis Pain
The pain from adenomyosis can vary from mild discomfort to severe cramping that feels similar to labor pains. It is often described as a deep, throbbing pain in the pelvic region, particularly during menstruation. Some women may also experience prolonged bleeding, pressure on the bladder or bowel, and pain during sexual intercourse.
Effective Relief Strategies for Adenomyosis Pain
While adenomyosis can cause significant discomfort, several relief strategies can help manage the pain and improve the quality of life for those affected.
1. Pain Medications
Over-the-counter (OTC) pain relievers such as ibuprofen and naproxen can help alleviate mild to moderate pain. These non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) work by reducing inflammation and controlling pain. For more severe pain, a healthcare provider may prescribe stronger medications or hormonal treatments to manage symptoms.
2. Hormonal Therapy
Adenomyosis pain is often linked to hormonal fluctuations, particularly estrogen. Hormonal therapy can help regulate menstrual cycles and reduce the symptoms. Common hormonal treatments include birth control pills, progestin therapy, or hormone-releasing intrauterine devices (IUDs). These options work by reducing the thickening of the uterine lining, which can decrease pain and bleeding.
For women seeking adenomyosis treatment in Indore, consulting with the best gynecologists in the area can ensure personalized care and access to the latest hormonal therapies that can help ease symptoms.
3. Heat Therapy
Heat is an effective way to soothe muscle tension and pain in the pelvic region. Using a heating pad or taking warm baths can provide relief from cramping and improve blood flow to the area. Heat helps relax the uterine muscles and reduce pain, making it a simple yet effective home remedy for adenomyosis discomfort.
4. Dietary Adjustments
Certain foods can help reduce inflammation and improve overall health, which may indirectly help with adenomyosis pain. Incorporating anti-inflammatory foods such as leafy greens, fatty fish rich in omega-3s, and whole grains can support hormone balance and decrease inflammation. Reducing the intake of processed foods, caffeine, and sugar may also lessen bloating and discomfort during menstruation.
5. Exercise and Physical Therapy
Light to moderate exercise, such as walking or yoga, can help release endorphins, the body’s natural pain relievers. Regular physical activity promotes circulation, reduces stress, and can help alleviate pelvic pain over time. Physical therapy, particularly pelvic floor therapy, is another option that targets muscle tension and can provide relief from chronic pelvic discomfort.
6. Surgical Options
In severe cases where other treatments have failed, surgical options may be considered. These can range from less invasive procedures like endometrial ablation to hysterectomy, which involves the removal of the uterus. Women considering surgery should consult with a healthcare provider to determine the best course of action based on the severity of their condition.
Seeking Professional Help
It's crucial for women experiencing severe or chronic pelvic pain to consult a specialist. For those in Indore, visiting the best gynecologist hospital in Indore ensures access to experienced professionals who specialize in adenomyosis treatment. These experts can provide tailored advice and recommend the most effective treatment plan, whether it’s medical management or surgical intervention.
Living with adenomyosis can be challenging, but there are several relief strategies that can significantly reduce the pain and improve quality of life. From pain medications and hormonal therapy to heat treatment and dietary changes, women have multiple options to explore. For those seeking specialized care, finding the right provider for adenomyosis treatment in Indore can make a world of difference.

Endometriosis Symptoms, Causes, Diagnosis and Treatment
Endometriosis is a common yet often misunderstood condition affecting millions of women worldwide leading to Female Infertility. Despite its prevalence, there is still a lack of awareness surrounding its symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment options. In this guide, we will delve into what endometriosis is, its symptoms, and the available treatments, providing valuable insights based on research and medical expertise.
Tumblr media
What is Endometriosis?
Endometriosis is a chronic condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus, known as the endometrium, grows outside the uterus. This tissue can be found on organs such as the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and the tissue lining the pelvis. Unlike the lining of the uterus which sheds during menstruation, the displaced tissue has no way to exit the body, leading to inflammation, pain, and the formation of scar tissue.
Causes of Endometriosis
The exact cause of endometriosis is not fully understood, but several factors may contribute to its development. Here are some potential causes and risk factors associated with endometriosis:
 1. Retrograde Menstruation:
One theory suggests that during menstruation, some of the menstrual blood containing endometrial cells flows backward through the fallopian tubes into the pelvic cavity instead of exiting the body. These displaced cells then adhere to pelvic organs and tissues, where they continue to grow and cause endometriosis.
 2. Hormonal Imbalance:
Hormonal fluctuations, particularly an imbalance in estrogen and progesterone levels, may play a role in the development of endometriosis. Estrogen, in particular, stimulates the growth of endometrial tissue.
 3. Immune System Disorders:
Dysfunction of the immune system may prevent the body from recognizing and eliminating endometrial-like tissue that has spread to other areas outside the uterus.
 4. Genetic Factors:
Endometriosis tends to run in families, suggesting a genetic component to the condition. Having a close relative with endometriosis increases an individual’s risk of developing the condition.
 5. Environmental Factors:
Exposure to certain environmental toxins or chemicals may increase the risk of developing endometriosis. These toxins may disrupt hormone levels or immune function, contributing to the development of the condition.
 6. Surgical Scars:
Previous surgeries, such as cesarean sections or hysterectomies, may create scar tissue in the pelvic area, providing sites for the implantation and growth of endometrial cells.
 7. Other Factors:
Other factors such as menstrual cycle abnormalities, low body weight, early onset of menstruation, and never giving birth may also increase the risk of developing endometriosis. It’s important to note that while these factors may contribute to the development of endometriosis, the condition can occur in individuals without any known risk factors. Additionally, the severity of symptoms does not always correlate with the extent of the disease. Consulting with a healthcare provider can help diagnose and manage endometriosis effectively.
Symptoms of Endometriosis:
 1. Pelvic Pain:
One of the hallmark symptoms of endometriosis is chronic pelvic pain that may worsen during menstruation.
Studies indicate that up to 90% of women with endometriosis experience pelvic pain, which can range from mild discomfort to debilitating cramps.
 2. Painful Periods (Dysmenorrhea):
Women with endometriosis often report severe menstrual cramps that are not relieved by over-the-counter pain medication.
Research suggests that dysmenorrhea affects approximately 50% to 90% of women with endometriosis.
 3. Pain During Intercourse (Dyspareunia):
Endometriosis can cause pain during sexual intercourse, also known as dyspareunia, due to inflammation and scarring around the reproductive organs.
Studies estimate that around 40% to 60% of women with endometriosis experience pain during sex.
 4. Infertility:
Endometriosis is a leading cause of Female infertility . The presence of endometrial tissue outside the uterus can interfere with ovulation, fertilization, and implantation.
Research suggests that up to 30% to 50% of women with endometriosis may experience Infertility.
 5. Other Symptoms:
Fatigue, gastrointestinal issues such as bloating, diarrhea, or constipation, and heavy menstrual bleeding are other common symptoms associated with endometriosis.
Diagnosis of Endometriosis :
Diagnosing endometriosis can be challenging as its symptoms often overlap with other gynecological conditions. However, several diagnostic methods can help healthcare providers confirm the presence of endometriosis:
 1. Medical History and Symptom Assessment:
Your doctor will review your medical history and discuss your symptoms, including the location, duration, and severity of pain.
 2. Pelvic Exam:
During a pelvic exam, your doctor may manually palpate your abdomen and pelvis to check for any abnormalities or tenderness.
 3. Imaging Tests:
Ultrasound or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans may be recommended to visualize any endometrial growths or cysts in the pelvic region.
 4. Laparoscopy:
Laparoscopy is considered the gold standard for diagnosing endometriosis. During this minimally invasive surgical procedure, a thin, lighted instrument called a laparoscope is inserted through a small incision in the abdomen to view the pelvic organs and obtain tissue samples for biopsy.
youtube
Endometriosis Treatment Options:
While there is currently no cure for endometriosis, several treatment options can help manage symptoms and improve quality of life and also provide Female Infertility Treatment:
 1. Pain Management:
Over-the-counter pain relievers such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) can help alleviate pelvic pain and menstrual cramps.
For more severe pain, your doctor may prescribe stronger pain medications or hormone therapy to suppress menstrual cycles and reduce pain.
 2. Hormonal Therapy:
Hormonal therapies such as birth control pills, hormonal IUDs, or gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonists can help control symptoms by reducing the production of estrogen and suppressing the growth of endometrial tissue.
 3. Surgery:
In cases where symptoms are severe or fertility is affected, surgery may be recommended to remove endometrial implants, scar tissue, or cysts.
Laparoscopic excision surgery, also known as laparoscopic deep infiltrating endometriosis (DIE) surgery, is a common approach to remove endometrial tissue while preserving the reproductive organs.
 4. Female Infertility Treatment:
For women struggling with infertility due to endometriosis, assisted reproductive technologies (ART) such as in vitro fertilization (IVF) may be recommended. IVF is an alternative treatment for Female Infertility.
Conclusion: Endometriosis is a complex and often debilitating condition that requires comprehensive management tailored to each individual’s needs. By understanding the symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment options available, women can empower themselves to seek timely medical care and improve their quality of life. If you suspect you may have endometriosis or are experiencing symptoms, don’t hesitate to consult with a healthcare provider who can provide personalized guidance and support. Remember, you are not alone, and there is help available.

What is the Strongest Natural Painkiller?
Whether it is a headache, a tense muscle, or something more serious, pain is a part of existence. We frequently grab medication to get relief from pain when it occurs. Yet, there are some very effective painkillers found in nature.
To find the best natural pain relievers for various kinds of pain, let's explore the world of natural remedies.
Tumblr media
What is the strongest natural painkiller?
Natural Painkillers
Natural analgesics are compounds with analgesic effects that come from plants, animals, or minerals. These substances function by either blocking pain receptors or decreasing inflammation, which interferes with the capacity of the body to transmit pain signals.
The Strongest Natural Painkillers
1. Capsaicin
Capsaicin, which is present in chili peppers, relieves pain by reducing skin pain receptors, which makes it useful for treating diseases like nerve and arthritic pain.
2. Salicin
Salicin, which comes from willow bark, is transformed by the body into salicylic acid, which relieves mild to moderate pain, headaches, and muscle aches. This process is comparable to that of aspirin.
3. Turmeric
Turmeric's active ingredient, curcumin, has potent anti-inflammatory qualities that make it helpful in reducing joint pain and inflammation brought on by diseases like osteoarthritis.
4. CBD (Cannabidiol)
Originating from the cannabis plant, CBD is known for its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties that provide relief from persistent pain conditions without the psychotropic properties of THC.
5. White Willow Bark
White willow bark contains salicin, which relieves headaches, menstrual cramps, and musculoskeletal pain, much like aspirin does.
6. Kratom
Kratom is made from the leaves of the Mitragyna speciosa tree. It contains alkaloids, such as mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine, which bind to opioid receptors to provide relaxation and pain relief.
Application and Dosage
It is necessary to take natural pain relievers as directed and in moderation.
Speaking with your doctor is advised, particularly if you are taking any other medications or have underlying medical conditions.
Certain natural pain relievers may have negative effects on sensitive people or interact negatively with other medications.
Potential Side Effects and Risks
Some being widely regarded as safe, natural pain relievers can still be dangerous, particularly if used excessively or for extended periods.
Allergies, gastrointestinal distress, and drug interactions are a few such side effects.
Natural pain relievers should be used with caution by people who have certain medical conditions, such as liver disease, kidney disease, or bleeding disorders.
Exploring Complementary Therapies
Complementary therapies can be very helpful in managing pain in addition to natural pain relievers.
It has been shown that methods like acupuncture, massage therapy, and mindfulness meditation can lessen the intensity of pain as well as improve general well-being.
Combining these therapies with all-natural pain relievers can offer an effective way of treating pain that takes responsibility for both its psychological and physical components.
Lifestyle Modifications for Pain Management
Lifestyle changes can improve pain management even more when combined with complementary therapies and natural painkillers.
Pain can be lessened and general health can be enhanced by engaging in regular exercise, keeping a healthy weight, and eating a balanced diet full of foods high in anti-inflammatory components.
Deep breathing exercises and other stress-reduction methods like yoga can also reduce tension and encourage relaxation, which lessens the perception of pain.
The Importance of Individualized Treatment
Since pain is a subjective experience, what relieves one person's pain may not relieve another's.
It is critical to customize treatment plans to each patient's needs, taking into factor things like underlying medical issues, personal preferences, and the kind and intensity of pain.
Finding the best pain management plan for each individual can be facilitated by closely collaborating with medical experts and considering a range of alternatives.

Self Care for Periods: Pamper Yourself to Beat the Cramps
Tumblr media
Every woman knows that the time of the month can bring about a range of emotions and physical discomfort. Menstruation is a natural and essential part of a woman’s life, but it doesn’t mean you have to suffer through it. Embracing self care during your period can make a significant difference in how you navigate these days.
Discover a range of self care practices in this blog during your periods:
1. Prioritize Rest: One of the most crucial aspects of self care during your period is ensuring you get enough rest. Hormonal fluctuations can lead to fatigue, making it essential to prioritize adequate sleep. The goal for 7–9 hours of quality sleep each night, and consider taking short naps during the day if needed. Resting allows your body to recover and prepares you for the demands of your daily routine.
2. Hydrate and Nourish Your Body: Staying hydrated is crucial for overall well-being, and it becomes even more important during your period. Drinking plenty of water helps ease bloating and can alleviate cramps. Additionally, focus on a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Certain foods, such as bananas, salmon, and dark chocolate, contain nutrients that can help alleviate menstrual symptoms and boost your mood.
3. Warm Baths and Compresses: Indulging in a warm bath can be incredibly soothing during your period. The warm water helps to relax your muscles and alleviate tension, providing relief from cramps. You can enhance your bath experience by adding a few drops of essential oils like lavender or chamomile for their calming effects.
Alternatively, applying a hot water bottle or warm compress to your lower abdomen can also ease menstrual cramps. The heat increases blood flow, reducing muscle contractions and relieving pain.
4. Gentle Exercise: While rigorous exercise might not be appealing during your period, engaging in gentle activities like walking, yoga, or swimming can help alleviate discomfort. Physical activity releases endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers, and can improve your overall mood. Listen to your body and choose activities that make you feel good without causing strain.
5. Embrace Self Care Rituals: Pamper yourself with self care rituals that promote relaxation and well-being. Whether it’s enjoying a cup of herbal tea, practicing mindfulness meditation, or indulging in your favorite book or movie, taking time for yourself can have a positive impact on your mental and emotional state.
Consider creating a cozy, comfortable space with soft blankets and pillows where you can unwind and focus on self-nurturing activities. This dedicated space can become a retreat during your period, providing a sense of comfort and tranquility.
6. Prioritize Mental Health: Menstruation can sometimes bring about mood swings and emotional sensitivity. Prioritizing your mental health is crucial during this time. Consider talking to a friend or family member about your feelings, practicing deep breathing exercises, or exploring mindfulness and meditation techniques. Apps and online resources can provide guided sessions that help manage stress and promote emotional well-being.
Last few Words of advice:
Prioritizing self care during your menstrual cycle isn’t a mere indulgence but a vital necessity; integrating these practices into your routine can shift your perspective on menstruation, turning it from a challenging phase into an opportunity for self-renewal and self love. Recognizing the significance of your well-being, and adopting self care during your period becomes a meaningful way to respect and nurture your body. Consultation with your gynecologist can provide valuable guidance on managing period cramps and discomfort more effectively.

Finding Menstrual Relief With Applied Kinesiology
Tumblr media
For many women, the pain they experience during menstruation can be debilitating. That's why finding safe and effective ways to manage and relieve menstrual pain is so important. Menstruation can be a difficult and uncomfortable time of the month, coming with pain that impacts important functions of daily life. Often, women experience cramps, fatigue, bloating, back pains, and other discomforts that can make it almost unbearable.
The good news is that you don't have to suffer in silence—you can find relief through Applied Kinesiology. Applied Kinesiology has been studied as an effective treatment for many conditions related to women's physical health and mental well-being. This practice can provide many benefits throughout your menstrual cycle by offering improved energy levels, emotional stability, stress reduction, and more. Whether it's easing those pesky sensations or helping you wade through mood swings due to hormonal imbalances—learn how Applied Kinesiology (AK) could bring necessary comfort to your body's needs and state of mind.
What is Applied Kinesiology?
Applied Kinesiology is a gentle, non-invasive diagnostic tool used in chiropractic care that helps to address imbalances in the body's muscular-skeletal system. This alternative approach looks at the body as a whole and uses muscle testing as the basis of diagnosis. During testing, the practitioner uses their hands to measure the strength and response of specific muscles while observing how the body moves and responds to stimuli. This allows the practitioner to find which areas of the body need the most attention.
Using Applied Kinesiology to discover the root cause of negative symptoms then allows the chiropractor to develop a balanced treatment plan that is tailored specifically for the individual. Because of its holistic approach, AK can work in tandem with other forms of care to provide relief from pain and manage long-term health issues. By diagnosing imbalances in the body exacerbated by menstruation, Applied Kinesiology gives your practitioner the information they need about your body to come up with an individualized treatment plan so you can begin to feel significant relief from menstrual pain.
What symptoms are associated with menstruation?
There is a wide range of issues that women experience during menstruation. Some of the common problems women experience throughout menstruation include:
Abnormal bleeding
Heavy periods
Painful cramps and sensations in the abdomen and lower back
Bloating and swelling around the waist, hips, and thighs
Nausea or vomiting
Headaches or migraines
Fatigue or low energy levels
Difficulty sleeping
Mood swings and irritability
Women experiencing menstrual pain understand the serious discomfort it can bring, and many struggle to find relief. To face these harsh symptoms for 5-7 days each month (more or less, especially if you are irregular) can make life difficult for many women. Daily activities like efficient work function and emotional management become tasks that are laborious or even painful. The list above could continue, but thankfully, Applied Kinesiology is a great alternative solution to these challenging symptoms.
How can Applied Kinesiology help?
Applied Kinesiology is used in chiropractic care to offer a natural way to ease menstrual cramps and other associated problems that follow when menstruation begins. It provides a variety of benefits that target relief from menstrual pain. Often, women are provided therapy to treat just one part of the body, but AK is based on the belief that the systems of the body are interconnected, and treatment should reflect as such.
That's why Applied Kinesiology works so well for treating symptoms due to menstruation. By focusing on improving body alignment, musculoskeletal connections, and the nervous system – all parts of the human body affected by a menstrual cycle – you can experience reduced cramps, mood swings, bloating, and other problems associated with menstruation.
AK techniques also allow for a major release of tension in the body, resulting in decreased physical discomfort. More benefits of this approach include:
Reducing pain levels through improved muscle balance.
Restoring normal motion patterns to enhance the range of chronically tense muscles.
Relieving unmanaged stress that could contribute to pain.
It's a natural healing method that uses gentle pressure points to aid in relieving symptoms – not only during menstruation but throughout the entire month. With the help of Applied Kinesiology, women can reduce or even resolve their menstrual symptoms and live a healthy, happy life.
What types of treatment are available for women experiencing menstrual pain?
Common treatment methods vary from patient to patient, as many women find relief with multiple, varying forms. For example, exercise through postural changes can be a simple yet powerful relief tool during menstruation. One of AK's major goals is to improve posture and address pain points in order to provide relief. For many women, regular postural changes (changes in posture of the body) can make a big difference when it comes to menstrual comfort and symptoms. Expanding exercises like side bends and hip openers may encourage increased circulation, helping reduce cramps and backaches associated with menstruation.
Several muscular therapies may provide relief. Massage therapies can target specific areas that are in discomfort and help relax tense muscles. Acupressure is a form of manual stimulation that helps to release endorphins and reduce stress, as well as physical pain. Other techniques, like cupping therapy, use suction to ease muscles, while heat therapy works to promote circulation, reduce inflammation, and relax cramping muscles.
Light stretching exercises and muscular therapies may be beneficial depending on an individual's needs and situation. Whatever the case, managing the discomfort of your period doesn't have to be a complicated undertaking with a customized treatment plan built just for you.
How do I prepare for my appointment?
To get the most out of your session, there are a few things you can do beforehand. Take some time to focus on your bodily sensations and how you feel leading up to the appointment. Consider any questions or concerns that may come up during the session and write them down for your chiropractor. It's also important to make sure that both you and the practitioner have clear communication about what you hope to gain from the appointment to ensure you are both on the same page throughout the work.
How can I stay healthy during menstruation?
Everyone's menstrual cycle can be different, but many women experience various discomforts. To stay healthy and minimize stress related to your cycle, it can be helpful to follow some of the tips provided by experts in the health field. Tips include:
regularly checking in with your body and responding accordingly

The Post-Bisalp Diaries, Part One
It's been one week and a day since my tubes went off to a better place, and I gotta say: my healing process has gone...better than I thought. I'm not sure why, but here's what I've done since the surgery:
*Day Of (Right After Surgery)*
Let me preface this by saying I am a Keto eater (been so for four-plus years) and I can fast for hours in between dinner and breakfast. I last consumed solid food around 10:49PM the night before. I broke my fast shortly after 2PM (5 hours after I had the surgery; I got stuck at the hospital for a little while) and I. WANTED. FOOD! This wasn't bland-ass foods I broke my fast to. I had scrambled eggs, French toast, ham, cereal, some chocolate, and a Quest protein drink. (All sugar-free/low-carb, by the way.) I'm sure I consumed almost a day's worth of calories for my late AF breakfast, but I didn't care. I was happy to have food again. Throat was sore from the tube they stuck in there during surgery, so I also loaded up on low-carb ice cream (Rebel is my bestie for ice cream cravings).
Along with my lunch (also eaten hella late), I also took the first dose of Ibuprofen I was prescribed.
And I felt like weak trash. I don't know why--maybe its high dosage fucked with me (I also seldom take regular-dose ibuprofen), or the anesthesia wearing off, but I felt like I was gonna crash. My appetite sure did; my dinner was pre-made chicken soup and a slice of toasted keto bread. And I barely stomached it all. I'd also forgotten that the doctors also gave me some antibiotics in my IV, and it's best to counter antibiotics with probiotics a few hours after antibiotic consumption so your stomach doesn't get upset. I took a high dose probiotic pill with my dinner, and I think it seemed to help. I ended up sleeping like a rock that night.
*Day After Surgery*
Felt a little better than last night. No more ibuprofen for me! I went back to one of my favorite natural pain relievers: Terry Naturally's Curamin. YMMV, but they've worked for me when I get shit like headaches, PMS cramps, etc. My appetite still felt suppressed but I managed to have some good fats (such as nuts and avocados) with my meals that was mostly light foods (salad, cereal, soup, etc.) I kept on with my probiotic use, which may have helped in reducing gas and bloat.
As someone who likes being active and does a lot of walking, I knew I had to limit myself upon taking that first post-surgery walk. I couldn't even take the stairwell down, and I already have an aversion to using my apartment's elevator as I don't like potentially sharing it with others. (The pandemic ruined elevator rides with others for me, and there's some nasty-ass people that live in my building. Yes, I still mask up indoors.) Anyways, it was refreshing to go outside. The weather was great for walking, but all I could get was around 25 minutes before my body told me to get back home. I usually can walk for longer periods than that. Also, my neighborhood is a great place to walk/jog around, but avoiding inclines was another odd thing I had to temporarily avoid. Equally weird was seeing my pedometer clock in 4100 steps; I'm someone who can easily do 10K+ steps. But my tube-free self needed to heal.
*Days Two-Six Post-Surgery*
My appetite was slowly starting to return. I've been eating mostly clean/whole foods up until Day Five when I started craving keto processed foods again. (Do you know that there's such a thing as keto pop tarts?) And I walked a little more every day. Finally hit 10K steps on Day Six. My incisions continued to heal, and I'd be so damned if I didn't live in a state that banned CBD products.
Day Six was not just the First Day of Summer, but also the day I returned to driving. Oh, so that's what it feels like to drive again!
What happened here, by the way, was true. I know there are idiot drivers on the road, but, seriously, it felt like there were more of them when I returned to driving. What fucking gives?!
*One Week Later*
No major problems whatsoever. Back to eating the foods I usually eat. I felt a little more worn out after my walk yesterday as I ended up taking the stairwell down (the lone elevator in my building was tied up when I wanted to leave--just my luck) and walking to my favorite nail salon that was only a 10 minute walk from my home. I could've driven there, but since I live in a metro area, all public parking costs something. I chose to save my coins for a manicure--something I wasn't able to have in a while since I had to keep my nails bare for the surgery.
It's now Day 8, and I'm looking forward to celebrating some Pride festivities in the city this weekend. No ouchies or aches at the moment, and I hope it stays that way.
So there you have it: my first week without the tubes. This diary will be an ongoing project, given that I have time to write it all up. (I got other projects to work on besides this Tumblr.) Once again, I have to say I'm a little amazed that I've been healing quicker than usual. Still don't know if it had to do with my diet or the CBD gummies or sheer good luck (yeah, sure). I expected to be bed-ridden the first few days, but it didn't happen. I sat a lot more at my desk, but I wasn't sluggish to where I wanted to relax in bed almost the whole day. I'm kind of bloated at the moment (booooooo) but I hear it's common to have that after a Bisalp. The shoulder pain some women experienced post-Bisalp? Hasn't happened to me. And that bed rest pillow some suggested to invest in for post-surgery recovery has yet to be used. (I only paid $5 for it at a thrift store, so no big loss.) But I'll eventually relax on it, smiling to myself, knowing that me choosing to be sterilized was the right decision, and probably one of the best decisions my childfree self has ever made. Sometimes I think I'm a dumbass, but not this time.

Massage guns have become increasingly popular for athletes and fitness enthusiasts looking for a way to speed up recovery and relieve sore muscles. However, like any exercise tool, it's important to use them properly to avoid injury or discomfort. Here are 5 simple tips for using a massage gun effectively:
1. Start Slowly: If you're new to using a massage gun, it's important to start slowly and gradually increase the intensity of the massage. This will allow your muscles to get used to the sensation and avoid any discomfort.
2. Focus on Problem Areas: If you have a specific area that is particularly sore or tight, focus the massage gun on that area for a longer period of time. This will help to loosen up the muscles and relieve any pain or discomfort.
3. Use Proper Technique: When using a massage gun, it's important to use the proper technique to avoid injury. Start by holding the gun at a 90-degree angle to the skin and slowly move it around the area you want to massage.
4. Stay Hydrated: Using a massage gun can be a very intense workout for your muscles, so it's important to stay hydrated before and after using it. This will help to prevent muscle cramps and soreness.
5. Don't Overdo It: While using a massage gun can be a great way to speed up recovery and relieve sore muscles, it's important not to overdo it. Using the gun too frequently or for too long can cause muscle fatigue or injury. Start with shorter sessions and gradually increase the intensity and duration as your muscles become more accustomed to the massage. Click here to get more details @ https://www.totalmassagegun.com/

Muscle Pain After Workout
It was developed to offer MBBS graduates legitimacy so they could practice medicine in India. NEXT exam MBBS news. The NMC NExT exam will be offered annually.
An essential component of a healthy, active lifestyle is exercise. It strengthens your bones and muscles, as well as your heart and lungs. Yet sore muscles can result from exercising. If you try a new activity or boost your intensity, this is typical. It's possible to use new muscles, strain existing ones, or even cause minor muscle fiber rips. These are indications that your muscles are attempting to adapt to this new workout, develop, and become stronger.
 A way to better health
Immediately, your muscles could get painful. Acute soreness is the term for this. A day or two after working out, you can notice discomfort or tightening. Sometimes the soreness will reach its height 48 to 72 hours later. Delayed-onset muscular pain is what this is. Your muscles strengthen and mend themselves during this period. Pain from a sore muscle can go away immediately or linger for several days.
Try these to help with muscle soreness:
 * Gentle stretching
* Muscle massage
* Rest
*The application of ice to alleviate inflammation
* Heat can assist your muscles receive more blood flow. Even a warm shower or bath can be helpful.
* Over-the-counter (OTC) pain relievers, such as ibuprofen or other NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) (brand name: Advil).
* Over-the-counter lotions and gels (IcyHot and Aspercreme brand names) containing menthol or capsaicin can relieve aching muscles.
You can't escape having aching muscles, unfortunately. It contributes to becoming healthier and stronger. You can take a few actions to aid in reducing the ache.
 1. Warm-up According to studies, warming up your muscles before doing out may be preferable than stretching. Your muscles are awakened by an increase in blood flow to them. Use minor variations of specific exercises to warm up. They include light weightlifting, jumping rope, and gradual jogging or riding.
2. Sip some water. Your body temperature may be regulated by water, which also helps to relax your joints and carry nutrients for energy production. Your body will find it difficult to function at its best without water. Muscle cramps, exhaustion, lightheadedness, or more severe symptoms could be present.
3. A little sleep. Wait about 48 hours before performing the same exercises for the same muscle groups (with the same intensity or for as long). Exercise of the same muscles that is restricted or lighter can be beneficial. For instance, if you were sore after jogging, a short bike ride or stroll the following few days may be helpful. Avoid becoming completely still and immobile.
4. Use the right method. Exercise technique is important for preventing muscular sprains and injuries. As a member of a gym or health club, seek assistance from a trainer or instructor. They can demonstrate how to use the equipments and equipment and lift weights safely.
5. Recover. After working out, it's crucial to stretch. When your muscles are warm, they are looser and more flexible. Stretching also helps with healing by moving blood away from your muscles and back to your heart.
6. Respect your boundaries. While you might be tempted to push yourself, keep in mind that workout growth should be gradual. You can gradually increase the weight you lift or the distance you run. You run the risk of hurting yourself if you try to raise too soon.
The NEXT Exam Pattern for MBBS is -
NEXT will be divided into two phases.
An online MCQ exam has two parts, starting with this.
The exam will be given following the final year.
After the internship period, it is not usable.

6 Most Effective Yoga Poses That Can Reduce Period Pain
In the last few years, yoga has gained immense popularity. Yoga is a great way to exercise and connect your mind, body, and soul with the proper utilization of body energy. With the constant stress of working in a fast-paced world, it is extremely important to keep our mental health and body healthy.
We all know how yoga keeps our bodies active and flexible and how it helps enhance our concentration and mental wellness. With that, yoga also brings calmness, peace, and positivity to your lifestyle. But did you know that yoga is the most effective natural remedy to relieve period pain? Yes, doing yoga can relax your period cramps and not just period cramps; yoga also helps provide relief from other period symptoms like backache, headache, bloating, anxiety, and tiredness.
Incorporating yoga into your daily routine can have immediate positive effects on your body, like a reduction of stress, relaxation of muscles, an improvement in heart rate, a boost to the immune system, and help with digestion as well.
After the pandemic, it is clear that we need to take care of our health. Along with proper and healthy eating habits, we also need to work on our mental and emotional health. You can bring about positive change in your busy life, which is packed with stress. And what could be better if it also provides period cramp relief? As many of us experience brutal period cramps every month, we desperately look for natural and easy period pain relief, as taking painkillers every month is not a sensible solution.
Yoga is actually the most effective way of relieving period cramps; if you think about it, menstrual cramps are mostly experienced in the belly, back, abdomen region, thighs, and hips.
To know more about natural ways of getting period pain relief without taking painkillers or any side effects, keep up with us.
For now, let us tell you the six topmost yoga positions that can help you relieve period cramps.
1. Bound Angle Pose or Butterfly pose.
As grateful as we are to Mother Nature for providing menstruation, we cannot be grateful for period cramps. The release of prostaglandin hormones causes uterus wall contraction, which is the reason for menstrual cramps, and it is as fun as it sounds.
The bound angle pose, or Baddha Konasana, helps to relieve cramps and pain associated with them. Not only that, but it also soothes digestive issues like diarrhea and constipation, which are common problems that occur during and before the start of the period.
To do this pose, you need to bring your foot soles together and bring your knees together, then start spreading them slowly downwards on the mat. Don't force or rush while spreading the knees.
If you have a knee or groin injury, avoid this one.
2. Adapted Child Pose
This is the easiest, most comfortable, and most useful yoga pose. It is so easy that even beginners can do it without any guidance or practice. This pose is directly impactful on the back, thus it provides relief from back pain during periods.
For the adapted child pose, you need to sit on the floor and lie forward on your knees, extending your arms over your head. You are free to bend your body as much as you need to feel comfortable. As you lean forward, make sure that your head touches the mat. Take long and deep breaths to relax your body. This will help stretch the hips and back.
3. Cat-Cow Pose
This pose is done in two parts. In the first part, you get down on flour and make your body stand like a cow. At the same position on the mat, your hands and hips should be aligned with the shoulder and knees, respectively, at an equal distance; then take a deep breath and hold it. For the next part, slightly stretch your body upwards, like a cat looking up, and while doing that, slowly release your breath.
Try this pose 5 to 20 times, and this will relieve your period cramps. Initially, you might need some practice, but once done correctly, it is a very effective way to relax your abdominal muscles.
4. Wide angle seated forward bend.
This yoga pose is a stress-relieving pose that carries away menstrual pain and stress from your body. This stretches your muscles and makes you more relaxed. This pose usually impacts the legs, thighs, back, and abdominal organs, thus providing relief in the most affected areas of period pain.
For this pose, you need to bend your body downward, stretch your legs outward, and take deep breaths. Place your body between your legs, work your hands forward, and exhale slowly.
5. Reclining Twist.
To deal with period pain, the reclining twist is the most important. It also has other health and bodily benefits, but it's majorly impactful on period pain. During periods, it is necessary to stretch your back and hip muscles, and the reclining twist pose does that. This is also not a very difficult pose to attempt, and chances are that you will do it correctly on your first attempt. Just lay your body down on the mat and bring your knees up to your chest. Bring your arms to the same height as your ears, and slowly twist your body. You can lift your arms to support this pose and twist as far as your body allows you; don't pressure it as it can cause injury.
6. Inverted Leg Pose
Another one of the easiest yet effective yoga poses is the inverted leg pose. To do this again, lay down on your back, simply lift your legs at a right angle, and stretch your body. This pose will help to reduce your menstrual cramps, improve your digestion, and boost blood circulation in your body.
Another natural, simple, and easy solution for period cramps is Sipgel!
Sipgel is a completely natural, 100% vegan, and herbal product that provides instant period pain relief. It has many effective ingredients like ashwagandha, Ashoka bark, fenugreek, curcumin, ginger, and many more that work instantly and provide relief from period pain.
During periods, our body not only loses blood but also very essential vitamins and minerals. Loss of these essential minerals can weaken the body's immune system and lead to serious illness. Sipgel is infused with such vitamins and minerals as iron, zinc, vitamin C, vitamin B, etc.; thus, it helps replenish these vitamins and minerals in the body.
With instant period pain relief and replenishment of vitamins and minerals in the body, Sipgel also provides internal warmth, which eliminates the need for a hot water bottle or heat patches.
A breakthrough for period pain because your everyday matters.
