1 Października 2023 r., rozpoczęła się przebudowa pętli tramwajowej Chebzie w Rudzie Śląskiej. Z tego powodu, zawieszone zostało kursowanie linii tramwajowej 1. Linia tramwajowa 9, została skrócona i kursuje teraz na trasie Chorzów Rynek - Nowy Bytom Huta Pokój, oraz uruchomione zostały linie dodatkowe: 29, kursująca z Bytom pl. Sikorskiego - Chebzie Pawła, oraz 10, Bytom pl. Sikorskiego - Zabrze Zaborze.
