Samba had a baking class! There he revealed some scenes that were cut/rewritten at some point in the process include:

From Samba: Calypso’s birthday was supposed to be LuPete wedding and wee John and Roach were trying to get Ed and Stede to hook up. Roach is the one who would have given Stede the pierced ear. Wee John makes Ed an outfit. Then Stede & Ed actually danced! Samba likes what the episode changed to, and that they didn't force the Ed/Stede relationship earlier. This episode would have been a combination of Parent Trap+Makeovers+Slow Dancing [SLIGHT agreement about being happy they didn't push the relationship (as they move it from being the point of ep 6 to the end of ep 6), I'm just more mad that they made the LuPete wedding a last minute thing. This still would have felt rushed after multiple non-apologies from Ed. A part of me says they wanted the drag bits? But then you're telling me Lucius wouldn't want Wee John in drag at his wedding, which just sounds SO out of character]

[CUT SCENE] The reason Buttons had a rope around his waist for ep 1 was because he kept on trying to run to the sea. They had scenes showing this but it was cut.

[CUT SCENE] S2E1 where Stede's crew were all making wishes for a ship. Black Pete wished that Lucius would be alive on the ship, Olu wished that Jim would be on the ship, and Roach wished for a big kitchen on the ship!

[CUT SCENE] Apparently a LOT of Jim/Olu scenes were cut, including one where Archie and Olu step out of the bedroom in boxers. Confirming 100% that they are all poly, and Jim/Olu was still together together. With a hint of maybe Olu/Archie?

BEHIND-THE-SCENES STUFF

The 'Don’t you want your Sammie' sandwich scene in ep 4 was fully improvised, and that on top of getting hit in the face is why Nathan broke.

Thumb war scene was improv, which is a shame, as to me this was the most romantic moment of the fucking season. It's just so soft, and sweet, and happy.

Stede's jacket from ep5 is cursed irl bc the fire alarm went off w/ no explanation in the first scene with the jacket

David Fane got bit by an eel on the toe while filming the Roach&Fang spa scene

So they really seemed to have had a decent script then changed it, for some reason. It wouldn't have fixed everything, but it does confirm my theory that they mostly cut scenes with the crew/rewrote episodes so the crew wasn't heavily featured.

ALSO: Samba wanted to do an official podcast when the season was releasing but couldn't due to the strikes.

I'd say it's less that they're opposites for me and more like they're two sides of the same coin. Also I guess because I grew up with Archie Sonic and there's a lot there. Like, it's a WHOLE different dynamic than game!Sonadow (like for instance they were way more like allies than rivals in that comic) and that's what stuck with me -- But I like that they can rely on each other in a way that feels different than friendship. And they can travel together and stuff. Sonic has been all over the world and Shadow might still be trying to discover this planet Maria loved so much. He can be shown the beauty and joy of life on Earth Mobius Unnamed Planet. Does that make any sense at all? I'm sleepy. Also! I like the idea of Shadow just like. Trying to integrate himself within Sonic's friends and family (Tails). He's the only one who'd have this problem btw. Everyone else is chill (except Knuckles maybe).

I was privately writing a fanfic that i shared with my friends that was like, "Aaahhh it's (I think it was 6 total?) years into the future, but ONE year into the future Sonic and Shadow had a jewish wedding bc i hc Shadow as jewish (bc i hc the robotnik family as jewish) and Eggman has been straight up sent to prison by G.U.N. and things are great for a while and there's peace but THEN with Eggman out of the way, G.U.N. does a full-scale invasion on the whole world to "bring order" to a world they find irredeemably chaotic USING Eggman who is now forced to work under them to make weapons of war. Shadow immediately leaves G.U.N. out of disgust and as a cruel "punishment" for this, Sonic gets captured by G.U.N. and turned into their own living weapon. For five years Shadow and Tails, who now consider each other their only family (I won't get into what happened with Amy, Knuckles, Rouge and Omega rn) are trying to survive under this horrible regime and rebelling where they can BUT Shadow is completely heartbroken and sabotages bigger and more dangerous G.U.N. operations in order to lure Sonic out and accepting less help from allies as the years continue on and he's still unable to find and save blue hedgehog husband. He returns to Tails with more and more injuries that Tails has to fix up and there's a lot of yelling. So I guess I like angsty sonadow? But I don't know if I'd turn that fanfic into a comic. But if I made a sonadow comic, that would be the one.

Someone would need to chop off my hands to stop me from making more sonadow art (eventually)

sorry but riverdale season 6 is simply iconic. episode ONE ends with archie getting ritually sacrificed and dying for everyone’s sins (late continuation of that judas kiss w joaquin three seasons ago) and for the next few episodes he’s just GONE. and NOBODY talks about him bc they were all IN ON the ritual in the woods they just go back to business as usual like it never happened with the gaping hole where Archie used to be looming over the narrative but nobody bringing him up. absolutely unhinged i love it no notes

woah uh. i forgot i had this blog but i did more doodles of the au. which is also bein dubbed the peace in chaos au (picau/pcau for short) just for the sake of my sanity cause otherwise I'll never actually name it

au rambles/shenanigans below cut

uhh if it werent obvious it takes place somewhat during the Forces area? but the story is rewritten a lil bit. I'll b talkin ab chaos energy later on probably. only thing u need to know is I'm takin slight inspo from werehog sonic n fleetway super sonic ^_^ at least for overloaded amounts of chaos energy. there's a whole thing I'll elaborate more on it later in a separate post.

For starters, Shadow is a lil more involved in the story, and rescues Tails a lot earlier on (he spotted Tails nearly getting attacked when out on a patrol/scouting mission, and saved him). He ends up sticking w Tails for the 6 months that Sonic's in captivity because he saved Tails fairly early on after Sonic was captured. He essentially became an unofficial guardian for him, simply because Tails could help repair Omega + shadow could keep him outta danger. more on that later

Rouge still works w both the resistance and team dark, but she gives shadow information she gathers before she gives it to the resistance, due to his request. some work is better suited for different parties so she'll sort thru that on her own too. she's mostly an organizer

characters from SATAM & AOSTH are also gonna be here ^_^ I've only figured out places for Nicole and Sally, and I won't be using archie comic designs for any of the characters in this au simply for my own comfort (I don't rlly have an issue w the comics I just wld prefer to use my own material). a lot of characters may not make it in the full vers or a lot of story is gonna be rewritten, but that'll come on its own time

The characters will get full infosheets later, but it'll take me time because I'm also busy with real life, so atm I only have doodles to offer you. the au is gonna be centric on tails + sonadow but there'll be aspects of other things n ships later i just won't be gettin to it atm

i really only watched this bc charithra was in it, but also sometimes you just get in the mood for a cheesy teen romcom.

1. anyway. i hate archie’s character. he is the worst friend ever. like are you sure you like her??? bc hes so mean to her. he basically called her an ugly loser and made her fucking cry and then STILL chose to pretend to be the love doctor, lie to her face, and saboutage her the entire process.

2. that scene where amelia does the whole school girl outfit and then struts past everybody is so cute love her character. i’m so mad it didnt end well for her then they called her splat face girl like yall are DEAD WRONGGG lmaoo

3. yknow ik shes crazy for being in love w/ billie after 10 hours but hes fine as hell so i mean.. i get it.

so whatever you're thinking, it's the opposite.

despite simon's demeanor and The Way He Is, he has a HUGEEE sweet tooth. this man loves sugar (much to his own dismay) so he likes any warm drinks that taste like liquid diabetes. some of his favorites are tea with milk, honey, and SPOONFULS of sugar or coffee with LOADS of hazelnut vanilla creamer. sugar is his kryptonite

archie on the other hand can get overwhelmed by the super sugary stuff (ehnanced senses and all) so he prefers his hot drinks a little milder. he loves a good cup of chamomile, especially after a rough patrol when hes all sore and achy, or a nice simple cup or hot cocoa

6. What's your OC's idea of a cozy night in?

simon's idea of a cozy night in involves literally just sleeping. this man is TIRED. his ideal night in is one where archie comes over but not because of an injury, and they curl up in bed and nap together because god knows archie needs it too

archie's idea of a cozy night in is what they often do after simon finishes patching him up, which is essentially just watching Star Wars on the couch together and snacking and settling in after a long night (perhaps cuddling with simon but shhhh thats a secret)

14. What are some of your OC's comfort foods?

simon's comfort foods are largely cultural (his family is from el salvador). some of them include pasteles (little empanada looking things), platanos, and salvadorian quesadillas (they are completely different than your typical quesadillas, they look more like pound cakes)

archie's are foods from his childhood, and a lot of them are struggle foods his mom made him to try and keep up with his crazy metabolism, but also just ones she gave him bc he liked it. some of them are scrambled eggs with avocado, chocolate milk, and pasta with tons of butter

I was looking at characters that have canon heights on Bulbapedia - most are through concept art, but the Gen 4 protags come from comparing their heights to Pokémon in the Pokédex. Interesting things I learned:

Lyra is really damn short, at 4'6". Ethan is 4'11" so they'd look funny together heheh

One source I found said that Lucas was 4'11", but another said he was the same height as Dawn, at 4'8". I kind of hope the latter is correct bc I can get behind Short King Lucas

also normally i only stick to core series stuff but i couldn't help but notice that ash ketchum is 4'7", so we do have Short King Ash

LANA IS SHORTER THAN ACEROLA BY TWO INCHES

Lana is 4'8", Mallow is 5'3", and Kiawe is 5'10". I'd love to see them all stand in a line.

also kiawe is taller than Professor Burnet, Hala, and Archie

AND OLEANA IS TALLER THAN ALL OF THE ABOVE
