Disclaimer: I'm open to be wrong, but these are just concerns I have. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I wouldn't say I hate AC Shadows for using Feudal Japan as its setting. It's an interesting period, and I've enjoyed several works set in that era. However, when it comes to Assassin's Creed, I don't exactly feel captivated by it. Despite its popularity within the community, the premise of Feudal Japan as a historical backdrop doesn't compel me.
Tumblr media
Part of what makes the Crusades, the Italian Renaissance, the American Revolution, and the Golden Age of Piracy in past entries so engaging in the Assassin's Creed series was their inherently subversive nature. These periods were characterized by profound social, political, and ideological upheaval, which aligned perfectly with the series' themes of conspiracy and the notion that history is not always what it seems. During the Crusades, the player, like Altair, discovers that the Templars' true motives are far more complex and sinister than initially believed. The Italian Renaissance, with its flourishing art and culture, simultaneously harbors dark undercurrents of power struggles and hidden agendas, mirroring Ezio's journey of uncovering the truth behind his enemies' masks. The American Revolution, a time heralded as a fight for freedom, is revealed to be rife with manipulation and conflicting interests, challenging the player's perception of the Patriots' cause alongside Connor's own discoveries. These settings are rich with deception and multifaceted characters whose motivations often blur the lines between good and evil. They embody the series' core appeal: that history is a tapestry of hidden truths and subversive narratives. Each of these eras highlights how the Templars' and Assassins' conflict transcends simple good versus evil, encouraging players to question their assumptions about historical events and figures.
In contrast, while Feudal Japan is undoubtedly intriguing and has its own layers of complexity, it doesn't evoke the same immediate sense of clever subversion and hidden truths that the other settings did for me. The cultural and historical nuances of Feudal Japan might be rich and captivating, but they don't seem to resonate with the overarching themes of the Assassin's Creed series as strongly as the previous settings had. In the past, I've also detailed why recent entries just don't care to be authentic about the history it is set in, and I'm hoping that similar occurrences don't transpire within Shadows.

Y'know, finding out that in feudal Japan it was fairly commonplace for the dead to testify in legal cases through a spirit medium makes the ace attorney series make so much more sense.

Holy shit if the AC Shadows trailer is hinting that throwing knives are getting reprised as shuriken like I hoped for I'm gonna cry from joy. They were my favourite weapon in the original games and I have mourned their loss for years. If we get to steal them from guards too then I'll actually pass away. I don't want to be too optimistic but c'mon ubisoft pls
The protagonists look incredible. Their voices are so powerful. Feudal Japan is a sick setting. I'm ecstatic.

How they would propose. Killers. Part one.
Trapper, Oni, Wraith, Deathslinger
Trapper
Evan's a traditional guy.
Expect the proposal to be well... Traditional.
Not to say it won't be romantic.
He wants to make sure the event is witnessed.
Preferably by both families.
But being that there are no family members in the realm, it will just be by both survivors and killers.
He's totally getting down on one knee.
While there might not be the most beautiful materials in the realm, he's going out of his way to find or make you a suitable ring.
Don't expect to jump into his arms after.
He really doesn't do all that PDA.
The primary reason to marry when he was in the real world was to produce an heir.
In the realm, that's impossible.
So it's really him claiming you.
You're his, and he's yours.
Oni
Like Trapper, Kazen is a very traditional man.
Weddings in feudal Japan were very different from what is custom now.
He knows that having a proper ceremony is near impossible.
No family, no special clothing, and none of the items needed were available in the realm.
You're already living in the house with him.
And you couldn't have children in the realm anyways.
So there isn't really any point.
But he's also rather dense in the romance/ relationship department.
So there will be a day when he's introducing himself to a new killer and just calls you his wife.
There was no discussion beforehand.
It doesn't seem like a big deal to him.
You're both married.
He loves you, you love him.
That's all there is to it
Wraith
(Because I am unaware of the era he is from, I have to make assumptions based on his ethnicity that is stated by the DBD Wikipedia page and the context clues. It only states that he is Nigerian, not what tribe either. His is based on what information I could gather on the cultures and traditions.)
Being as shy and reserved as he is, this was one of the most nerve wracking things he has ever done.
You have no family in the realm. So he couldn't ask your family.
Philip couldn't provide gifts if there wasn't anything to give.
No traditional gowns and clothing.
No family to celebrate with.
So, he's going to have to wing it.
He'll ask for advice from several of the more mature survivors and killers.
Adam and Sally proved to be the most helpful in planning.
Ace just made gross comments, and Bill just didn't seem to care.
Sally was the only killer willing to help.
It was something simple, but really romantic.
A secluded area the three set up. Lots of flowers and lights.
Since he can't speak, he put the ring on your finger and looked into your eyes in an attempt to convey his message.
What reason would you have to say no?
Deathslinger
Awkward.
Like, really awkward.
Caleb really loves you.
But he's not very good at expressing it.
Giving you a kiss or a hug is about as much as you're going to get.
Proposing?
He's freaking out.
Uh, Evan? Sally? Anyone? Help!
After a meeting and a frantic plea for help, the others pitched in ideas.
A ring? A romantic setting?
God help this man.
There will be many practice sessions.
The others are literally walking him through it the whole time.
They're going to have to be there during the whole thing, even if they practiced for hours!
"Okay, Caleb. Get on one knee."
"Next offer the ring."
"No! Not to me! To them!"
Evan and Sally are about to scream.
But he did it.
They don't even want to think about the wedding.
He's doing his best okay.

one piece x inuyasha au bc I'm insane and wrote this during my break today
luffy is a human kid* sent to the great demon era (I'm great at naming <3) where demons rule the lands after he falls through a cursed well in the forest where he and sabo and Ace grew up. he seeks to collect all the pieces of the shikon jewel and put them back together into....one piece. (loud booing) listen,
in this era, the wielder of the shikon jewel becomes the most powerful demon that rules over all the others. luffy does not care that he's human. he wants that damn jewel
zoro is still a swordsman. not much changes. people think he's a demon, but he's actually just a really strong human who can use techniques like asura. he was a demon hunter for spare change after he got lost leaving his home village. not much changes there, either
nami is a petty thief and navigator who used to work for the demon arlong. she starts to awaken some priestess powers with usopp's help and the staff he gives her, though she doesn't really follow any other priestess rules. she learns other magic, too, still messing with the weather and wielding a variety of attacks without a care for whether they're sacred or demonic
usopp's following in the footsteps of his father- a priest turned adventurer killing wayward demons along the way. his weapon of choice in this au is a bow and arrow which sometimes he and Nami will work together to bless the arrows!
sanji is a travelling cook who's secretly the son of a daiyoukai. due to his mother's intervention, he's a hanyou, but he passes as human and his crew doesnt know he is one.
chopper is a little reindeer demon who's learning medicine and priesthood under the care of lady kureha, joining luffy's crew after they defeat the demon wapol
robin is a demon from ohara who works under the demon warlord Crocodile for a little while, fulfilling a role similar to kaguya. she deserts him after luffy and crew save vivi and the alabasta region from his reign, but she's still wanted by the world at large for being a "dangerous type of demon" with knowledge of the old world and the creation of the shikon jewel passed down in her clan.
franky is a human/zombie/demon hybrid who survived an explosion after his mentor, a demon named tom, was attacked. he put himself back together with human and demon parts alike, similarly to how sesshomaru and naraku would absorb spare body parts in the og show. he's a blacksmith!
Brook is a revived man much like kikyo was brought back by demonic methods. he has to consume souls to keep living, but he only steals the souls of their enemies. he's also pretty bad at it. he's still a musician, though his instruments are a bit more traditional
jinbei is a whale shark yokai, so a fish yokai from the same clan as Arlong...but not evil lmao. he used to be a warlord too, but decided he didn't like the whole feudal part. he's the crew's cultural guide and diplomat of sorts, attempting to keep peace between demon territories and human villages they visit alike from freaking out when a rag tag group of thieves, demons, priests, and fighters show up on their doorstep. he and robin discuss history and archeology often, and in theory robin has a lot of the same knowledge jinbei does, but jinbei has better....people skills.
the setting would be the inuyasha universe, feudal / yokai infested Japan. however, the world government is an issue in luffy's time (1500's fictional goa kingdom) that secretly has ties to accessing the demon world. I haven't thought out the logistics fully, yet. but you can bet your ass luffy's mentor shanks, who is often gone on long "journeys," was actually traveling back and forth from the feudal era and the goa kingdom this whole time.
* spoilers below
* I haven't gotten ro gear 5 yet myself but I imagine luffy is secretly the reincarnation of the demon "joy boy", which will. aid the whole shikon jewel thing. and is also why he is able to traverse the cursed well.
though, humans like shanks seek out the jewel too, for the power it can hold in controlling demons or perhaps (myth?) giving them the power of one.

Been a while since I did any Loonatics stuff. And I intend to do more soon. Had this idea of the Loonatics dealing with another time-related incident. Only this time, they actually travel, albeit unintentionally. Also, I created my own original villain! That's rare. Was gonna use Time Skip, but I decided to just create one. His name's Dr. Slick-Tock! Lame, I know :p So, the Loonatics are investigating weird stuff related to time travel and the villain behind it intends to take over the world through time travel. They won't let that happen! While they're fighting Dr. Slick-Tock, the doctor messed around with the magic hourglass and they all get scattered through time, but Rip managed to hold on and now he's having a tug-of-war moment with the doctor. Meanwhile the rest of the team take in the weird surroundings. Here are the time periods they're stuck in: Ace - Feudal Japan (1603-1868) Lexi - Ancient Greece (500 BC–323 BC) Duck - Wild West (1865-1890) Tech - Regency Era (1811-1820) Slam - Ancient Rome (27 BC-476 AD) Rev - The 1980s (1980-1989) Jacques - The Age of Exploration (1558-1603) Tori - The Roaring 20s (1920-1929) Rip - Some Post-Apocalyptic era (????-????) Let's hope the guys actually get to go home and stop Dr. Slick-Tock!

Why is it so difficult for people to understand that Ubisoft is being racist?
I’m a long-time fan of Assassin’s Creed. It’s a part of me at this point: a reason I got interested in history, a reason I opted to take French classes in Highschool. I remember counting the days until the movie came out, going to theaters on release weekend with a friend. It wasn’t a good movie, but it remains a fond memory to this day.
As I played Ghost of Tsushima, I kept thinking about how cool it would be if the protagonist were a Ninja. Sure, there was a skill tree focused on stealth, but the storyline was very much about honor and the internal conflict of being a warrior. I wanted more subversion, loyalty and shady dealings- in short, I wanted to see the Assassin’s creed take on it. Templars funding corrupt kirishitan daimyo, lone assassin shinobi becoming nukenin, that sort of thing.
When I first heard that there would be an Assassin’s Creed game set in Japan, I was excited for it. Then, they revealed the protagonists to be a Japanese kunoichi and …a samurai foreigner. Was it a marketing decision? Because we’ve had Italian assassins in Italy and American Assassins in North America and Egyptian Assassins in Egypt. It’s obviously a conscious choice, then. Ubisoft stating that no, having a Japanese woman as the sole protagonist just won’t do. The Japanese Ubisoft statement that has since been deleted spoke of the creative team finding “our” samurai. Are the Asian, much less Japanese, constituents of the AC fandom not “theirs” enough?
If that were all, then it would’ve been business as usual; I wouldn’t have posted anything, albeit with lingering disappointment towards Ubisoft. However, there’ve been claims that the allegations of cultural appropriation and historical fabrication are all racist reactionary backlash to having a black protagonist, which I felt was actively harmful to my continued existence so here I am.
First of all, the fact that Assassin’s Creed is a work of fiction and that there are many works of historical fiction that do outright silly things in Japan is not the center of discourse anymore in Japanese circles so arguing that Ubisoft has artistic license is rather a moot point. Yes there’s feminized Oda Nobunaga in FGO, made by a Japanese company, move on from that please. Most people aren’t concerned about the player base being stupid enough that they can’t tell that AC is a fictional game. We aren’t stupid, neither are you.
The issue about historical fabrication lies in the concern that players will enjoy the game and decide to search about the historical Yasuke and come across Lockley’s book, African Samurai: The True Story of Yasuke, a Legendary Black Warrior in Feudal Japan, which is utter bullsh*t. He is alleged to have edited Wikipedia in small increments over the course of ten years to authenticate his speculations as fact. After being outed on Twitter by Japanese AC fans he deleted his socials. And although I believe gamers aren’t stupid enough to believe AC is completely factual, I can’t believe that people won’t trust a printed book written by a scholar since even Encyclopedia Brittanica believed him. An article in ScreenRant even cites this book; while Japanese fans have been exposing one falsification after another these past few weeks, none of that information is reaching across the waters, where it would actually be relevant to target misinformation. If you think I’m lying, go to the Japanese language version of Wikipedia and click on ‘translate page’ for a quick overview of the problem (https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%83%88%E3%83%BC%E3%83%9E%E3%82%B9%E3%83%BB%E3%83%AD%E3%83%83%E3%82%AF%E3%83%AA%E3%83%BC). It’s not in the English version. We are rightfully concerned that people will read the book because they like the game and come to believe that Japan participated in the transatlantic slave trade. We are rightfully concerned because we know there’s been wars fought over who has enslaved who and punishing those deemed morally degenerate. We are actually scared because Assassin’s Creed is a big title series god*amn it.
This is honestly my first time coming face to face with racism to this degree. Posts on Tumblr, English Twitter, and gaming media have made it out to be that the only people complaining are white men, as if the backlash is only from gamergate. I enjoy reading articles from IGN and Polygon and whatnot on a normal day, but now I’m faced with articles saying there’s been “some criticisms” (emphasis not mine) being raised in Japan and even claims that Japanese people are overwhelmingly looking forwards to the game while white bigots are the only ones complaining, completely minimizing the issue. There’s 90k+ signatures to cancel the game in a Japanese language petition, and sure, there may be a few thousand racists who took the time to translate the page and sign, but it’s insane to state that it’s composed of mostly white men. Like c’mon. There’s been boatloads of Japanese language tweets about the AC Shadows controversy getting tens of thousands of likes and quotes on Twitter. There were only two English articles that I could find that cut into the issue and one was written by a Japanese writer translated from Japanese media. COME ON. “Ubisoft didn’t need to release an apology since they’re only angering internet trolls” is not the point media should be making. Can someone have the guts to write “Ubisoft needs to release an actual apology instead of dancing around the problem?” And why do we need to say that we want a Japanese Assassin’s creed game to be about Japanese people in the first place? Shouldn’t it have been the obvious choice? I’m looking forwards to playing an African Assassin cutting the throats of colonial traders in Capetown, whenever that might happen, and my non-Asian friends have been looking forwards to playing a Japanese Assassin in feudal Japan, and I think Ubisoft is just giving all of us the finger. A nice, nonthreatening, manicured finger.
I really hope Ubisoft and/or HarperCollins denounces Lockley’s book before the release date for at least some semblance of damage control.
And before anybody says anything stupid, I am in fact not a white dude, I am a Japanese American Female studying Anthropology. So thank you, Ubisoft, for influencing my life decisions. I hope my disappointment reaches you.

for the send me a character ask game: madara (&if you’re willing to do another one izuna)
I always love hearing what you think about them!
Of course no pressure :-)
Madara
First impression: The incredible ice-cold neutrality I had to Naruto villains by that point cannot be underestimated
Impression now: YEEES BROTHER PROBLEMS YEEEEES YOUR FUNDEMENTAL PERSONALITY AT ODDS WITH YOUR LOVED ONES. It's so awesome his brother wanted peace but because he didn't trust Hashirama or the Senju Madara just threw it all away once he fulfilled his brother's dreams. Go king fuck up everything. The Uchiha don't even like you anymore
Favorite moment: That world war fight where he used his sharingan to fight a whole army. I'm sorry that shit was hot as hell
Idea for a story: I know I already wrote Madara getting doublecucked fic but what if it was from Madara's point of view. Wouldn't that be so funny
Unpopular opinion: A lot of fanfics posit it's Uchiha culture to be covetous of your family and so on but I think Madara as an individual has severe control issues and codependency from family trauma. I think he's tender enough to want to do better but definitely the type of guy to Yellow Wallpaper somebody. He did do that. To Obito. Also I think if you genderbend the characters you should leave Madara as male because almost all his behaviour is informed by his male chauvinism and I think he would not do the things he did if he were a woman. Madara is without a doubt a misogynist (You Will Never Understand A Warrior's Bond flavour) so don't forget that either
Favorite relationship: I have special yaoi favourites where I smile and laugh and clap at stupid fujoshit yaoi interpretations. Madatobi isn't one of them though. If they aren't being toxic and insane at each other it's not them and it repulses me. I don't care about topping or bottoming only mind games. Fluff reserved for Hashimada. I like Hikaku having a one-sided psychosexual obsession with him since adolescence but no one understands me
Favorite headcanon:
Tumblr media
Izuna
First impression: O...lore [thinks about what this means for Itachi's motivations because that is his narrative purpose]
Impression now:
BLORBO SUPREME
Favorite moment: It was really funny how the anime added a line about how smug he was about the power of the sharingan and then Tobirama immediately utilized all the Sharingan's weaknesses to kill him. Way to kick a nothingdude while he's down
Idea for a story: In 2021 this is the only thing I was capable of doing
Unpopular opinion: Aro/Ace Izuna... And not only aro/ace but insane about it because he lives in feudal japan as a political entity who is sexy. Technically this is headcanon but the difference here is that I don't like it when anyone disagrees with me on this one. Tobizu is my NOTP
Favorite relationship: Platonic Tobizu wins for fucking ever!!!!!!!!!! Also I'm so obsessed with the idea of him as Kagami's post-grad sensei who sucks ass. He makes chuunin and studies under Tobirama and is like They Give You Guys A Curriculum?
Favorite headcanon: They're a romantic tobizu shipper but I believe everything Hinomori posts forever. Go into their gallery and know joy. Oh my god. Just remembering their posts makes me so sentimental. ⬇️frowing up
Tumblr media
Sorry Izuna's is small but you have to understand 1. he doesn't real 2. anything that is real to me I wrote 300k words about

Ghost of Tsushima: A Total Work of Art?
BLOG 2: GESAMTKUNSTWERK AS A TOOL IN GAMES
During my 2022 internship at Buffalo Soldiers, a coworker gave me a choice between swords and guns. Because of my historical background, I went with the swords. With its focus on katanas, the game Ghost of Tsushima initially looked enticing, but it soon showed itself to be a masterwork of storytelling and graphics thanks to that decision. I discovered a game in feudal Japan that piqued my interest beyond simple entertainment, so I used Gesamtkunstwerk's theory to explore the game's potential as a cohesive work of art.
Tumblr media
About Ghost of Tsushima
Sucker Punch Productions created Ghost of Tsushima, a third-person open-world action-stealth game, only for the PlayStation 4. The story takes place on the Japanese island of Tsushima in 1274. The player controls Jin Sakai, the hero, as he fends off a Mongol invasion. The article was released on July 17, 2020.
Ghost of Tsushima is a narrative-driven action-adventure game featuring combat and stealth elements. Smaller side stories form an anthology around the main plot. It is only loosely based on true historical events and is entirely fictional, intended only for entertainment. It is not an accurate historical retelling.
In the year 1274 AD, on the island of Tsushima, nearly every samurai warrior stationed on the island is vanquished by the monstrous Mongol Empire, who wreaks havoc and conquers Tsushima. Samurai warriors are the mythical guardians of Japan. With the aid of his allies, Jin Sakai, one of the last living samurai, rises from the ashes to fight back, but the noble strategies and samurai code will not be enough to defeat the Mongols. Jin must transcend samurai traditions and forge a new fighting style known as the way of the Ghost as he fights an unconventional war for Japan's freedom.
youtube
Academic Standpoint
Developed by German philosopher Karl Friedrich Trahndorff in 1827 and made popular by composer Richard Wagner in the middle of the 19th century, Gesamtkunstwerk is the term used to describe the idea of a "total work of art." The term, which combines the German words "Gesamt," which means whole or total, and "Kunstwerk," which means artwork, conveys the idea of a cohesive and all-encompassing piece of art that combines different artistic elements to create a pleasing whole. (Wagner, 1993)
Game Elements
Tumblr media
Thematic
Storyline
The narrative of Ghost of Tsushima centers on Jin Sakai, a samurai and the last living member of the Sakai clan, during the Mongol invasion of Tsushima Island in 1274. In a last-ditch effort to save his homeland, Jin transforms himself as the "Ghost," disregarding the long followed traditional samurai principles in favor of stealth and guerilla tactics following a devastating defeat at the hands of Khotun Khan's Mongol forces. Players will see Jin's internal conflict between upholding his honor and adjusting to the harsh realities of war as the game progresses. In his mission to fend off the Mongol invaders and uphold the samurai traditions, Jin must negotiate the complex politics of Tsushima, form alliances with other fighters, and confront moral dilemmas.
Cultural Reference
The story primarily is set around Mongol Invasion of 1274 and 1281 in Japan. Kublai Khan the grandson of the great Genghis Khan was primarily responsible for the invasion. Although most of the information in the game is false in order to make it more entertaining for the players. Some of the flaws were as follows: 1. Characters like Jin Sakai, Shimura and Khotun Khan who are the prime figures of the game are not real or based around real people. 2. There was no single person who was responsible for liberating Japan form the clutches of Mongolians. 3. Samurais necessarily didn't wield a sword, instead used bows and spears as they preferred long distance combat. The following were some extra references I came across in the game: 1. Shinto Shrines and Japanese Mythology and Folklore: Shinto Shrines were all across the game map and were more of a collectable than something very important. Upon visiting these shrines, the player received a charm which were named after Japanese gods. 2. Kitsune / Fox-Den: A collectible, however fox or kitsune are considered holy in Japanese folklore. This collectible unlocked charm slots in the player's inventory. 3. Artefacts and Records: There were Mongolian Artefacts and records dispersed all across the map. All the artefacts added facts and historical richness to the game.
Tumblr media
Visuals
Art
The game's art style is a multifaceted masterpiece, showcasing various layers that contribute to its overall realism. Ghost of Tsushima skillfully captures the very essence of feudal Japan, a testament to the meticulous efforts of its creators. The commitment to authenticity extends even to the user interface, where Japanese Ink Paintings seamlessly integrate, elevating the visual appeal of the game. This attention to detail not only enhances the overall aesthetic but also immerses players in a visually rich and culturally resonant gaming experience.
Locations
Tumblr media
The finely detailed locations in the game are modelled after actual locations on Tsushima Island, Japan. Ghost of Tsushima expertly recreates well-known locations like Tsu-Tsu, Komoda Beach, and Keneda Fortress while maintaining a careful balance between realism and aesthetic appeal. The game makes a deliberate decision to stray from perfect visual accuracy even though it remains faithful to the veracity of these locations. This deliberate decision improves the player experience overall by fostering an environment that is both visually stunning and immersive.
Costumes
Tumblr media
In Ghost of Tsushima, the clothes and accessories perfectly capture the spirit of the era, offering moving mirrors of the game's historical backdrop. The Straw Hat Ronin serves as an example of how careful considerations were made during the creation of the character outfits, which were inspired by a real historical organization. The Ronin were skilled fighters who differed from samurais in their devotion to wealth and honor. Their ensembles of Mongols, Samurais, Soldiers, and other supporting cast members all adorably mimic historical costume realism. Every ensemble not only honors the period's authenticity but also gives the characters they portray a deeper level of narrative complexity.
Cinematics
The success of the game can be largely ascribed to its narrative strength, which is skillfully brought to life through cinematic mastery. The attention to visual storytelling is evident in the use of different camera techniques throughout the cutscenes. Using extreme long shots strategically to capture expansive locations with a forward-moving trucking effect is noteworthy. Contrarily, dialogue is skillfully presented through medium shots, with a variety of close-ups—from medium to extreme close-ups—highlighting facial expressions. These cinematic devices go beyond cutscenes; they become moving fillers that show the player's choices' visual consequences after the mission. The visual story is further elevated by the use of compositional principles like the rule of thirds and leading lines in conjunction with camera techniques like depth of field and defocus. The careful use of various lighting techniques gives Ghost of Tsushima a further degree of cinematic elegance.
Audio
youtube
Rich ambient sounds and moody background scores are expertly blended in Ghost of Tsushima to create a cinematic experience. Featuring a variety of indigenous instruments, such as the mesmerizing Koto and the heartfelt bamboo flute, the musical tapestry, led by Sony and directed by Ilan Eshkeri and Shigeru Umebayashi. By reflecting the essence of feudal Japan, this thoughtful decision heightens the game's cultural resonance.
Additionally, the game is available in both English and Japanese, demonstrating the developers' dedication to authenticity in language choices. By keeping the spirit and cultural quirks that make Ghost of Tsushima such a singularly compelling experience, this bilingual approach guarantees that players will be able to fully immerse themselves in the game.
Other Mechanics
Gameplay Mechanics is what gives a plethora choice to the player about how a player wants to play the game. One can be either offensive and fight head on or be stealthy like a ninja. The game offers a wide variety of weapon options and ninja tools to. One can even change the appearance and get different benefits based around the outfits you choose. This variety makes it an even better gaming experience for the player.
There is even poetry in the game. In the form of Haiku one can discover scenic locations and also be able to collect headbands that players can use as their gear.
Conclusion
The game should be considered a piece of art as the media transcends to various means. A very good proof is the awards and nomination the game has got. The game has been nominated for its Art Direction, Narrative, Audio, Performance and many more. This simply justifies how the game can be considered a total work of art.

I already figured out given last year Xbox revealed Star Wars outlaws and next day we had a gameplay reveal at the Ubi forward
Remember that leak AC red menu I sent? Well that was taken down to copyright, but I think that was a Xbox not a Ubi move.
Because the leak show the build being April third and most press conference game builds are usually a few months old as they are the most stable
So I heard original red would have it reveal in May 31st…hmmm if that still true
May 31st- a press event where we get a pre render cgi trailer, proper Yasuke and Naoe reveal, details, in game screenshots. And title reveal
June 9th- Xbox will have a gameplay demo showing off the capabilities of Xbox (and if Xbox bribed them enough. Ac red will be the first day one ac game on gamepass as the last three ac rpgs on it)
June 10th- a story trailer and “bts” video where they show how yes finally we are going to Japan and their ideas and inspirations for it
With probably the nice explanation why Yasuke was chose for the second playable character
Because people want red to be reveal at Ubisoft forward…but people need to digested Yasuke at first
Like my theory craft on how to use Yasuke in a what if continuation is interesting…but modern writers are not exactly smart.
Also there a fundamental difference between my black teen dad Jrpg idea vs writers who have critical theory plaguing their minds
Not to mention they think having more non whites will bring black people into fantasy games.
When the last time they went to the cookout? The vast majority of casual players only enjoy playing Cod, GTA, tekken and other fighting games, and the occasional license hero game
Okay okay fornite
Like here my pitch
Hey casual black gamers (who barely desire to play Normie games. WHAT I still deal with it) you remember Afro samurai? Well here a game where you play as the weapon bearer Yasuke in this game Assassin Creed Shadows (that is what some people saying the game is going called) where you help a secret ancient order unify Japan. And there more it’s a RPG where you can spend over 100 hours into and explore the beautiful recreation of feudal Japan!
Warning your dumbass might become a pseudo historian and desire more knowledge
(Or you might be interested in more ac games. Hmm here an Egypt one! Now might give you more! HEHEHEHE)
And noting bad wait- okay probably will be 70 dollars…..oh great a season and battle pass!….wdym online only?!
Ubi you now got 5-6 months to reform red market system (most ac game comes out on October or November) because you seen how your own game skulls and bones and SS kills JL flopped
Ugh why I had to be born during the hard times of gaming?
Maybe in May I get more leaks
Also college educated students, people do like organic diversity.
But white people don’t like the demonization of themselves from people who make more money they do in their lifetimes
Seriously what the fuck is the culture in California and New York where it socially acceptable to treat white people like fictional characters

This all was the official timeline then, nice of them to post it, probably gonna be a few more leaks tho

They need to stop with all the tokesism crap, even a MC can be a token if it's all just stereotypical nonsense. Then again certain parts of the audience that's all they want.
Gay guys need to be flaming, lesbians are lipstick or mega dyke, Latinos are gardners, and black people are thugs or you're doing it wrong.
If Yasuke breaks into a Undercover Brother type monolouge at some point I would laugh and cry.

Oh I miss the cookouts, had a few friends that would invite me to different ones, damn fine food. Sometimes I acted extra white just to be funny too.

I like it, I also like tricking people into learning, makes things fun and interesting.

There really was a golden age for it, late late 90's till the 10's when things all started to go online, get really good complete games and y you could hit up gameFAQ's if you needed help with something (used to have to know someone who knew or call the Nintendo Power hotline at $1.99 a min if you were stuck.
Think most college educated people like that too, it's just the loud ones that are the issue.

Speaking as a Californian let me say, fuck those guys doing that.
