Thoughts on DM3. Don’t hate me. 😂

DM3 was not a bad film, I have seen a lot worse and I even went to see it at the cinema a few times. I’d rate it a 6/7 out of ten.

The problem was with it, it felt outdated with an 80s obsessed villian. Don’t get me wrong, I think Bratt is a great idea and I get the concept of it but just maybe with his own film, not in DM.

Aswell, I felt they took a lot of things away from us that were just getting started.

- Agnes sold Fluffy the unicorn though in DM2 she would have screamed the house down if anything happened to him and he was such a big part of the merch. But no, gone, sold to some lil blonde.

- We didn’t see much of Grus freeze-ray nor his tank of a car. - not a big deal but these lil things make the film what it is.

-There was no Fred. - again like the point above. I would have also have liked to have seen Jillian, I thought she was a great and (annoying) addition to DM2.

-Gru didn’t really bother with the girls or interact with any of them, well a part from Agnes. He didn’t even put them to bed like he used to and just left Lucy to do it all. He didn’t really seem supportive of her with her trying to be a mum I thought. If that was my husband I would have kicked his arse lol!

- Margo got engaged to some weird kid and Gru was nowhere to be seen but in DM2 he was this overprotective dad that would have broke his nose or something lol! I know Lucy had it in hand but…..ya know. I wanted to see the overprotective dad mode.

- We didn’t see much of the house which we seen a lot of in DM1/2 and I thought that was such a shame. Why couldn’t Dru just come to Grus house or something lol

- I disliked how the writers wrote out Dr Nefario (we won’t mention the actors name and no one would of cared if someone else was voicing him) but what a lazy way to just freeze him in carbinite. Gru didn’t really seem that upset over it though the Dr had been like a dad to him. Like ?????

- Dru wasn’t bad, it was kinda nice seeing Gru have some male company as if he was down the pub with a mate but I also found it odd they had all of a sudden put on him the temptation to go back to villainy when in DM2 he had that temptation but he wasn’t interested in the slightest. He just wanted to be a father, get a job, get his girl and that was it. Every scene was perfect, the actors, writers etc put all there heart and soul into it and you couldn’t have put anymore into it really, even if you tried. Gru was really at his peak in DM2. Maybe I’ve got it wrong. Idkkkk.

- I didn’t mind the Minions and personally I never do, I think they just add to the film and I don’t find them annoying. I actually liked the prison scene, I thought that was a pretty good idea tbh.

It even felt like at times the animated characters didn’t want to even be doing the storyline in DM3. 😂

3 obviously made a lot of money because everyone was still hyped around DM2 but came out of the cinema or wherever they first watched it empty handed.

Yes it’s ok chucking in a scene here and there with a treehouse or an Agnes and Gru moment to put in some heart but it was almost forced. The writers said themselves they struggled and just wrote for themselves which I found really sad as there is so much you can do with this franchise I think.

I’m ngl, I am a bit nervous about DM4 as I think this will be its last chance to survive but the trailer looks amazing and I’m already won over by the baby Gru Jr. I wanted them to have a baby in DM3!!!!! Really DM4 should have been 3.

Should have rhey aged the girls up. Yes and no. Maybe a bit? Tbh personally, I don’t really care. It keeps there innocence but I would like to see Gru bonding with them again.

It wasn’t all bad though, I liked Lucy trying to be a mom and the animation has definitely stepped up a notch to the point that Gru is pale AF now and they all look a bit different. Aswell the actors, Carell, Kristin did a great job as always.

i love colours have i ever mentioned how much i love colours. becausee i do. theres SO mang fucking ways to use tbem. to manipulate them. there’s ways to make pieces FULL of colour look flat and full because you chose colours that fuckin- cancelled each other out. did you know that green cancels out red and thats why theyve got those green little makeup sticks its awesome. Your perception of colour is affected hy the colours around it now tell me thT isnt the coolest shit in the world

one od the things i love doing with colours is thinking about like- the Vibes isnt quite the right word for it but i like thinking about what i want to stand out or what i want to remain sorta. flat. and standing out does Not mean the focal point to me sometimes it just means “what someone would talk about if asked abput this thing.” like the bogboyhalo piece?? i normally dont make things that has so many similar muted tones. but because it DOES have v similar tones it comes out v peaceful

values do SO much for the intensity of a piece like my guxning gosh. it really stands out that it isnt just colour contrast that matters in some of the jaiden ones ive done

like here ^ you got a mix of warm and cool colours. id say cool reds and warm blues/purples?? because of the way its muted and rhey interact w each other.i dont know. but its like a sliding scale along the colour wheel there of colours which are usually Not similar at all given cohesion /softness by muting and matching (and making sure that the colours that Arent muted are used minimally and at least match)

but then also youve got shit where theres a lot if similar colours but Intensity. there’s not a lot of colours here! mostly blue! but the selective contrast of the values makes it Stand Out more, PLUS the red does something fuckin- wild here. its almost like faux bouncing light? it helps attach the subject (blue) to the environment (dark reddish purple). its not a very intense value so the light blue still gets to be the Intense thing against the dark blue of the rest of him, but it still adds a little somrthing.

Fucking. its so wild too how as you play with art and look at art and experiment it becomes so instinctive. there’s a lot of factors that go into why i use x or y or z brightness or hue or size and its Always Changing because every environment demands something different !! you can tell so many different stories with the same things paired up differently its so so awesome

spring break was boring it rained everyday and when it didnt rain my dad had me water the lawn and then it rained again. But then i go back to school, normal day exept solar eclise day so no one wanrs ro be in school, afterschool i go to library but friend say library close so then we walk our ans see other thrend and he has 2 girls with him from not our school rhey sey theyre fo to library whrre club is, i go to library to inspect and there was no club but we stay in library and do puzzle then girl with glasses breaks puzzle and we leave, we gon ro mc donalds and then glasses girl keeps callinf me gringo but she was kinda hot so not big matter then miss entire eclypse becayse we were in mcdonalds but then we go to volleyvall but we kinda suck so instead we explor local collwgde the 2 wenr to i dont remwmvee the other girls name but i went home because there wad pasta at home and all i had at mc donald was sprite. I think this is an incredible beautiful photo of a beautiful man in front of a beautiful arch during an important memory for the 7 of them, taken by a talented photographer who has an eye for that sort of stuff. And i think people need to STOP microanalyzing every single thing these guys do. And to especially please stop being so hyper sensitive to taekook. Because my god, did the times when Tae posted mostly to weverse and his photos were a third himself and the members, a third Tannie and a third Jimin freak people out this bad? Or did everyone coo over vmin being cute. Because if this is making you lose your mind but the vmin weverse spam doesn't, that's an issue. I mean, it's an issue either way, but it's a big issue you need to work through about your issues with taekook specially if it's just them causing you issues. A few examples.

Not to mention he also just posted a VIDEO of Hobi on his Instagram Stories. And not a single mention from jikookers? Or anyone else? No one gives AF as long as its not JK on Taes insta? Literally WHY is that?

As for your question about if Tae is posting the members in order to promote them for their solo activities, who knows. I don't personally think so. I think he is just posting things as he wants to post them. I'd think if he was promoting JKs collab, it'd be more clear. Same with Hobi. Both posts had to do with things rhey did as BTS. Performing on stage most recently and their most recent MV filming. And I don't think he is posting with Wooshik to promote their ITS Wooga Squad episodes coming up either. I think he is just out with or recently went out with him and wanted to share. I REALLY don't see the need to over think these things and I really wish people would chill the heck out about it all and just appreciate the photos we are being given. Lol again though, who knows. but for act 2 he obvs leaves it uncovered becuz for most of it hes still so angry about "freeman" hes still angry at himself for letting it happen, so he leaves it uncovered becuz those feelings are still raw for him, he looks in the mirror everyday and sees this reminder of why he gets up everyday: revenge,

it also functions unknkwlingly as a huge source of internal conflict and pain for adam, specially cuz at this point the boys are all very close of not already dating, so adam gets to see this glaring remender of what hes going to have to do and what he did to and is forced to remember that he shouldnt have gotten so atrached, but he does it anyways knowing tbat hes gonna deserve the hurt down the line

and in act 3 he woukd wear an eye patch, becuz we see in game that hes gotten over his revenge mission, gman has to force him to hold uo his end of the deal, mitchell has gotten over the hurt, its old and healed and he doesnt feel the need to broadcast his hatred (for "freeman" and himself) anymore, he doesnt need a reminder for something thats not an issue anymore, he can bury it and out it to rest to focus more on those around him and rhey can see more of him and not his pain

Damian just felt himself crying when he saw jon. It was like he was sleeping, but he wasn’t. Clark wouldn’t notice jon gone for at least a few days, he was off torturing villains or something. • anger: “why did you bring me back!?” “Why did you do this to me, Damian!?” Jon destroyed their shared room at the league, holes in walls, things thrown around. Damian just had to watch and hope jon calmed down.

• bargaining: “please, Damian, i don’t wanna hurt you. You have to kill me, okay? It’ll be okay. But you need to kill me. I don’t- it hurts, okay? Please?” Sucks for him, Damian could never hurt jon. Not even when Jon accidentally hurt him.

• depression: some days it was hard for Damian to get jon to eat, sometimes jon just stared off. Eyes green. Jon avoided mirrors. He hated looking at his green eyes. He realized how Damian got his eyes now. Some days were good, some days.. some days it wasn’t.

• acceptance: jon knows damian won’t kill him, and he knows why he’s alive too. Seeing Damian.. seeing how he was. He needed to be here for Damian, Damian needed him. Damian needed him so much. He can’t leave Damian. He realized that Damian wouldn’t have anyone if Jon wasn’t there.

• so jon accepted that he was alive again. and he got through everything and slowly helped Damian get through everything in his life. They were going to be okay. They were.

• but jon made Damian promise to not go back to the regime. Damian accepted easily.

• damian and jon were going to leave. They had something made in order for Clark to not hear his sons heartbeat.

• jon still had nightmares though, and pit madness, but it’s okay. they’ll get through it togeyher. some days the two couldn’t be in the same room with each other. and some days rhey couldn’t be without each other.

• the world is fucked. the two only have each other. no one knows where Damian disappear to after he left the league base with Jon. He’s sure Clark’s looking for them.

• so they kept moving. They didn’t stay in one spot for long. They traveled the world. It was nice. They were free.

• they didn’t talk about their parents or family’s, they just basked in each other.

• but apparently damians brothers and sisters had found out where he was, but they didn’t come looking for him, they simply jsut let him know they knew where he was. but they didn’t try to get him to come back, for that he was thankful.

• sure. soon enough they will most likely lose everything, but right now? they were fine.

Let's try to get this final live blog on my station 19 rewatch done. I'm currently laid up on my couch in mild pain but unable to do anything else.

I don't really like flashback episodes but i want one for the premiere since we are jumping so far ahead. I hate that this episode starts with a fight. But damn knowing what the fight is over, i love how loyal andy is to maya in this episode. Something ive wanted for her and the team. Qnd also jaina looks gorgeous.

The fire scene yay another fire on the fire show lmao. Feel like we missed some last year which im sure was covid related.

The marina scene ugh chefs kiss. I love how happy and giddy they are. I do wish we couldve gotten to see some of their month apart communication and their quarantining apart those two weeks when carina got back. I wrote a little something related to that and i may share before the premiere of season 5.

The quiet moment between carina saying her morning was better than those 6 weeks and then asking about mayas folks was a beautiful and real moment and i love it. So brief it could be overlooked but great choice for team.

The little bit of danielle and stefania that was them and adlibbed in this episode was so great also.

I love that rhey addressed how everyone was able to attend maskless and how safe the wedding was keeping the real world element in. Also vic love you and your chicken dance comment makes me sad that we didnt get it.

Vics parents trying to talk to her about theo is so cute.

I understand some people dont come out until late in life but that is hard to hear that you havent loved the person youve been with for decades like you do this new person. I also love the look of pride on maya's moms face both at the house and the wedding.

Im sad we probably wont get any moments of her living with marina due to the time jump.

Ugh the choice that cost maya her promotion but ahouldnt have.

Queen of the clipboard forgetting to write her vows is special and funny. I love carina talking her down from a panic attack. Also her simple vow is beautiful and how carina who probably did write her vows saying we're good instead of reading them after seeing maya's mom in attendance and the look shared is everything.

I truly believe that was the moment she 100% knew maya had changed from end of season 3, was definitely all the way in. She knew what it meant for maya's mom to be there.

Putting this here cuz uhhh I can’t believe that the majority of the theories we were discussing just didn’t happen or matter (at least this volume) . Like yo I was legit stuck on Steve having a spider on his shoulder for no reason!! And the last time they talked she legit couldn’t even say she loved him. The wound was still fresh in season 2 so it would make sense why part of him was still thinking about the situation and feeling the way he did. But now it’s been almost two years in canon and somehow he’s doing this shit!! Somehow he’s more focused on romance when in season 2 when the world was ending he pushed past it!!

literally what was the reason for the spider on his shoulder? what was the reason!? like beside setting up one of many stancy moments that made me :// and like you said his whole thing about his love life in the face of world ending seemed, I don’t want to say ooc, but just like shoved into the conversation when we know that steve would do just about anything to focus on the kids and his friends and saving the world. not to mention the fact that he knows nancy doesn’t want the same future that he does. and there’s nothing wrong with either one of them wanting their respective futures, it’s just makes no sense to try to put them together again. especially when steve said himself that he not longer lovers nancy in s3.

and yes!! I want vecna to want revenge on everyone. and because of that the only way they can win is if they fight together. at least the core 4 boys and el. give me full on evil monster hunting down the entire party because they are the one thing that stands in his way every time, not just el, all of them

this is probably just me but I’m kind of getting annoyed with directors and producers saying in interviews that they didn’t intend for the characters to be read as LGBT at all...i just feel like it’s always been a given that once you create a piece of fiction (like books or movies), the interpretations of the reader/viewer are just as important as the intentions of the author/creator.

even if the intention wasn’t to make sam or bucky bi and in a relationship, i feel like we are allowed to read them like that without the directors and writers saying “no no we didn’t mean for it to be like that!!”...like it might not have been their intention but it’s still there

and i don’t think it’s wishful thinking that they’re in a relationship either, like the tropes of a romcom are right there...anyway sambucky rights 😭

Hi Anon, I don't think it's just you and I really understand the frustration because I share some of it too but I'm frustrated at the real "culprits"... the executives making the decisions. I'm sorry for replying late to this but I have a lot of thoughts on this topic and I wanted to organize them first😂 First things first... I know we have all been in other fandoms... But we have try to stop applying what happened in other fandoms and what other directors have said in other fandoms to what's happening with Sambucky. For so many reasons, but the main one is: Marvel people cannot say anything.... literally.... They must have a secrecy oath or something but it's not in these interviews that you will find meaningful information.. Remember a while back when Anthony tried to tell us he WASN'T Captain America even though we had all seen Steve hand him the shield in Endgame?? So it was already a scene we had seen? That man was contradicting something that millions of people had seen with their own eyes. Was I frustrated at Anthony ? No. Because that's how anyone involved in marvel projects talks... ( You remember why people make fun of Ruffalo and Holland? Because they are the only 2 unable to follow that one simple rule😂) So my strategy is focus on the content we have and focus on the future content when it's time to focus on the future content... But I really never focus on cast members interviews or directors interview etc...(Only Stackie interviews but you know that already). I think that we are so used to complaining in other fandoms that we complain for the FATWS but the directors did the best they could. Maybe the directors/writers in other shows/movies have a little more freedom in what they said.

I would understand of it were an indie movie or something but it isn't, Kari and Malcom arent making the decisions alone and have some limitations because they aren't allowed to give any hints about the future... and most of the time they don't even know themselves... Directors/ writers change all the time. Besides in Marvel shows the romance is never at the center of the story, I consider myself lucky that we got this much romance in the show... If Sam or Bucky were a woman I don't think we would have had any more romantic moments than what we got (maybe just on little kiss at the end but not much more than that... Sam and Bucky wouldn't have been kissing in every episode I can assure you that). The only difference is that people would have seen the romance right away, and the shippers wouldn't have minded if there had been a kiss or not. Because that's how Marvel projects work... not much focus on the romance itself, it's not even a subplot, more like a sub-subplot.

Sam and Bucky started with only 4 lines in Civil War and then 2 scenes in Endgame... That's it. So what they have now is just amazing.

Another point: If I'm not mistaken, Kari never said that Bucky was never intended to be read as LGBT/ Bi. If she did, let me know and I will read the interview again. What she said was that the Tiger Pictures weren't put there to show that Bucky was bisexual but to show that he was not good with technology. And that there was" no sexuality attached to his character" which makes no sense, by the way, because he went on a date with Leah, so they had to at least think avout his sexuality,... But she didn't say that, she didn't say he was straight or bi. She purposely gave a vague answer...Like all Marvel people do... So I think it's unfair to get frustrated at her for things that are out of her control. She was giving a specific answer related to the Tiger pics, maybe she would have given a different reply to a different question. I know that directors or actors other shows have said what you just mentioned in your ask, and correct me if I'm wrong, but it hasn' t been the case for TFATWS. I don't think any of them said Bucky wasn't bisexual and even less about Sam. They never said anything like that or never said that they never intended them to be read as LGBT. Last point: I don't think that she had no intention of portraying Sam and Bucky in a romantic lighting... I do think it was intentional but I also think that this is the best she can share right now...

As you said... the romance tropes are right there... it's not a mistake or a coïncidence... they put them there for a reason I have said this before but I will say it again because I think some Sambucky shippers don't come from other MCU fandoms and even the ones that do seem to forget this sometimes... y

These writers, directors, etc always talk in riddles and share as little information as possible...We don't know what will happen and they don't know either... So it's very difficult for them to make impactful comments.

Sorry to bring this a lot but am I the only one who remembers the Peggy Sharon and the Peggy again situations...??? Do you think any of the directors or writer knew where the story was going when they were filming the movies? no. I say we just focus on what we liked and ignore the reat until there is real content, Kari said " they love each other and rhey work great as a couple" and Malcom said they are a family .... If I were in their position I don't know what I would be allowed to say... nothing is ever certain in the Marvel universe. As much as I'd like to hope about what happens with Sam and Bucky in the next movies... I don't even think the decision has been made, so why get frustrated over something that isn't even decided yet...What I can so... is the already great and developed love story, I don't care that there wasn't a kiss.

Would I have appreciate an "official" confirmation? Yes, yes yes. But I'm also happy with the story as it is and know that maybe it isn't their decision to confirm or not. But the content is there and it's a love story. People who say Marvel will never go there are lying because they don't know. And people who pretend Bucky and Sam will be together in the next movies are lying too because they don't know either... It's also a possibility that Seb wouldn't be in the next Cap movie... We really don't know enough to be frustrated about anything😂. Even if Kari and the writers had depicted Sam and Bucky as a romantic item (Which they did, by the way). I believe this is the maximum she would have been able to say... Maybe because they are two men... or maybe because that's just the way Marvel operates.
