Jackson savors the sound of her laugh and the touch of her skin. “You couldn’t have known.” “Still.” he snorts, resting his cheek against her head. “It was pretty awkward.” They share another laugh, falling back into that comfortable silence. “..You really wanted to be a vampire?” She asks after a while. Her voice is gentle yet serious. Jackson lifts his head and looks away. “…Yes.” His voice is a guilty murmur. “I thought that..” he frowns when his voice trails off, almost as if it wasn’t his own accord. Raven’s fingers trail up to his hair, stroking lightly. A small gesture that told him ‘It’s okay, you can tell me.’ He heaves a sigh and turns to look at her. “I thought that if I was a vampire…I’d feel better about my life, myself. I thought it would solve all my problems.” He admits, leaning into her touch. A beat goes by as Raven processes this, and then her hand moves to cup his face. “I’m glad she said no.” She voices quiet. “Yeah?” Jackson asks, relaxing against her hand. “Yeah.” she smiles. “‘Cuz first of all, you’re perfect the way you are.” she taps his nose, pulling a humble laugh from the boy. “And second…” “Second?” he raises an eyebrow. “This way, we can grow old together.” She lets her voice drop to a whisper. “You would’ve outlived me otherwise.” Jackson sucks in a small gasp, bringing his hand up to cover the one on his face. He blinks back at her. “Yeah,” he says, a little breathless. “Yeah, you’re right.” He turns his head to press a kiss to her palm, watching her smile again in response. It soothes the ache he felt moments ago. Raven pulls him closer until their foreheads touch. “I love you.” She says firmly, as if trying to drive the point home. “Okay?” He nods, smiling as he brushes noses with her. “Okay. I love you too.” He says, closing the space between their lips. ‘Younger me,’ He thinks as her arms wrap around his neck. ‘You have so much to look forward to.’

ah yes the walking spoiler um!!! nehinah is a close friend to ame and is meant to represent the angels as a whole! they are unflinching in their ideals, extremely powerful, and probably too pushy. angels/pseudo angels thus far in-story are presented as very human so when nehinah arrives it’s supposed to be a huge difference and push how alien angels really are?? so HOPEFULLY i can pull that off lmao

also i love nehinah sm????? they’re like one of my top faves to draw and i really gotta figure out how to colour their wings properly but anyway i want people to like themmm

I'm gonna be completely honest here I have only been like, barely skimming the plant Jekyll au and honestly should've given a proper read before sending anything but bjdsbdks

I adore the concept! ahh esp the where like. Jekyll can still move and look human. He isn't just a full on plant yknow? And that made me think,, ghost plant Jekyll au. Ghost au and Jekyll dies and his body gets hidden yada yada, but plants start growing all around and inside his body 👀 so now hes a funky plant corpse made of a bunch of different plants that he has relatively good control over. No one expects him being dead because he can still make himself look like a living human, and he always smells so nice, and Jekyll actually seems (and is) much happier than he was before he "went missing" because,, he is plant, he's healthy, actually feels physically better than ever, and doesn't even need to eat! Or sleep! Honestly his only complaints are about londons air quality. Ahh now this is making me think of that one batman movie my parents always watch where poison ivy loves plants and becomes one and "poison ivy" after a shelf of chemicals gets thrown on her,,, poison ivy Jekyll anyone? /j /nsrs bdksbdks. Though the HJ7 nonsense probably is a reason Jekyll is a funky flower corpse XD

But hes also like. Very much being an angry ghost at the lodgers. He just says down in The Moss in Bird's and Archer's room, leaves his body having fun there. And zooms over to break a vase or something. Because no longer missing or not the lodger still never bothered to look for him.

Ooo! Gonna steal this concept from a fic I read in another fandom, but bugs living in Jekyll! Like butterflies and bees and other types of pollinators. His corpse is pretty hollow after all. And Jekyll is so protective of these lil dudes. If anyone so much as looks at them wrong hes gonna haunt their house later. Hhhh butterflies always flying around Jekyll and his head <3

GHOST PLANT JEKYLL AU MY BELOVED

There is something just... So beautiful of Henry dying and getting his corpse reclaimed by nature, but he still get to live and he get to be happier because he doesn't have any physical or mental illnesses to plague him anymore, as he is just a soul without physical limitations. Also I want the Lodgers and Lanyon to think that Henry's plant obsession only got worse after he "went missing"; he constantly have leaves and flower petals in his hair, his office is even more covered in thriving plants, he seems so aloof and cling to the plants around him... Bees and butterflies loving him and it makes him seem so mysterious and yet handsome and ethereal. HNNNNNnNnn love it <3 Especially combined with him still being a bastard and leaving his corpse around for people to panic about and then think that they are hallucinating when they see him being perfectly fine and "perfectly nondecayed" later <3

I was imagining a green and white python because it fits Virginia's colour scheme, but I adore the thought of Henry giving her a yellow one, 'cause yellow is a happy colour!! And he wants his apprentice to be happy!!

Cheerful and Grumpy ships are the best ships. Also I adore the thought of Griffin tinkering with/stroking Sinnett's robot arm affectionately and Sinnett. Almost combusting on the spot. Happy cute lil lads <3<3<3

Now I'm imaging the Robot Scientists and the Animal scientists constantly fighting about the animals and robots and trying to keep them away from each other. Only for the Robots to get pet brushes and starts to brush the animals so they won't shed as much and ergo, destroy their mechanisms. Brushbrushbrushbrush...

I bet they settle the argument quickly once the younger Lodgers starts pointing out that Maijabi is the best science grandpa and Cantilupe is the best science grandma. Also Frankenstein is a vodka aunt at best, she will never have the grandparently love to the Lodgers like Maijabi and Cantilupe have and that's a face ✨

She can have two pythons, as a treat. Ohmygosh ohmygosh wait. The one Henry gave her is the green one she named Sulphur. And Hyde also gave her a yellow python, which is named honey. And then we have Sulphur and Honey which is a fun accidental connection to j&h's potion and also I adore these funky snake friends. She walks around carrying them hehe

Hhhh characters being all blushy around their s/o or crush, even at small bits of affection, is my absolute weakness how'd you know- <3

Bdksbdks I adore the thought of one of the animals just walking around when suddenly one of the robots, big, small, flying, rooted to the ground, whatever just suddenly starts brushing it. This'll work out as some animals hate brushing and will thus avoid the robot more, and some animals love brushing, allowing all that loose fur to be removed

Ah, they tried that, but they still fight over who's best grandparent. There will be no acceptance that both are good. And they shall continue to war in the form of making sure all the younger lodgers are properly resting, that all the younger lodgers feel loved, and to always listen to their experiments. As soon as they find out about how Jekyll treats himself they immediately start their strongest "attack" yet

hhhh oh god I have so manyyy!! Some of my favorites are thirteen storeys by jonathan sims, the strange case of dr. jekyll and mr. hyde by robert louise stevenson, the island of doctor moreau by h.g. wells, and the secret history by donna tartt

All of that being said, my all time favorite book would probably have to be the picture of dorian gray by oscar wilde :)

I have 3 cats!! Pirate is the oldest hes 16 and he was found as a stray after getting into a fight with another animal which led to one of his eyes having to be removed

Then we have deimos who is the youngest and the only girl :) shes super tiny and a beautiful cat but SUCH a troublemaker

And then theres hamlet and hes completely black and my little baby!! I'd die for him! Hes super talkative and always meows back to me when I say something to him

FUCK YEAH HHHH GREEN EYED JEKYLL.

So after I read the pages I scrolled down to look at some of the comments, and some seemed to think that this bitter and cold Greeneyed-Jekyll could just be Jekyll toe-ing the line between his 'normal' self and Hyde, with the green eyes giving way of the presence of Hyde.

(I'll include screenshots below, I'm on mobile constantly so I don't know how to make a read more)

But if this theory is true, that would make Jekyll's personalities similar to a spectrum, or more accurately, a straight line with the 'Jekyll' personality on one end, and the 'Hyde' personality at the other. This green eyed Jekyll is near the middle of this line, therefor being affected by Hyde(green eyes), but still on Jekyll's side enough to keep his appearances.

There was another comment along the same vein, they thought this Green eyed Jekyll is the closest we've ever gotten to how Jekyll was in Bleeding Heart (which I haven't read) or before two years ago, when he was a mix of BOTH 'good' and 'bad' sides of himself and was able to do harm as well as good.

Personally I enjoy the Spectrum theory, because just on the other side of the middle line, we could potentially have a similar situation with Hyde, a calmer brown/red eyed Hyde! Less likely to happen but it's a fun thought!
