That’s the title of Love Again in French. The movie is a big deal in Quebec because of Céline, and the three major French newspaper in Montreal published reviews yesterday as it came out.  While they have positive things to say about Céline because she’s an icon here and can do no wrong, they are a lot less flattering about the movie : "For her film debut, the singer deserved better than a sentimental tale in 50 shades of beige." - La Presse "The editing is also borderline amateurish, with many scenes being cut a second too soon, often leaving the actors in the middle of an unfinished reaction. Another irritant is the limited acting of Sam Heughan, from Outlander as Rob." - Le Devoir The only one that was not negative was the tabloid-type newspaper: “As you might expect, the ending is corny and some of the twists and turns are a little far-fetched (what music journalist won't ask Celine Dion professional questions in an interview?), but Rob's questions are credible and relevant, Mira's grief is plausible, and this story, as light-hearted as it is, hits the mark.” - Journal de Montréal Because of Céline’s presence, the movie has a major release here with almost all movie theatres offering multiple showings. I wonder how long it will last...

The singing is beautiful and the lyrics are incredible! They could be the cry of any artist (or person, in a way), whether singer, writer, or artist. Of course, I wanted to be able to sing this myself, but unfortunately, I don't speak French, so I have created an English singable version of the lyrics. Final thoughts on the Chainsaw Man anime? Favourite character? Favourite fight? Favourite ending? Favourite scene? Overall favourite thing about it?

Final Thoughts

I really liked the anime, enough for me to start reading the manga from where the anime stopped. I still don't think it's as good as the hype that surrounded it would have suggested, but it was still definitely a great watch. I mean, it was good enough for me to start reading the manga, and by no means am I a prolific manga reader, so that says a lot about the show's quality.

Favourite Character

Very tough question, and for the moment, it would be between Aki and Makima. Aki appears very stoic, but he demonstrates a level of compassion and empathy that very few in the show have shown so far. As for Makima, she's an absolute mystery, and I love that. She reminds me of Isabella from The Promised Neverland, because of the way both characters just always seem to be 100 steps ahead.

Favourite Fight

Another tough one, but that would probably be Kobeni vs Katana Man and Sawatari from episode 9. During episode 5, Himeno stated that Kobeni was very skilled but her weak mentality holds her back. But after her antics against the Eternity Devil, I don't think anyone expected her skills to be that high. My very high level of pleasant surprise, was what elevated this fight to top spot for me.

Favourite Ending

That would be ending 9 - "Deep Down" by Aimer. She is one of my favourite Japanese Singers, and this was just another addition to her already amazing track record:

Favourite Scene

That would be Makima using her unknown ability to sacrifice the inmates in order to remotely kill the Gun Devil's henchmen during episode 9. From Makima's very introduction where she threatened to kill Denji as a devil, to when Power feebly submitted to her after she killed the Sea Cucumber Devil, to when she got shot in the head only to then stand up off screen and stare a hole through the souls of those who shot her while smiling menacingly at them - Makima always just gave off the strong impression that she was a very dangerous person not to be messed with, and this scene did an excellent job of showing just one of the many reasons why. While writing this, I just noticed that my favourite fight, favourite ending, and favourite scene were all from the same episode. So yeah I guess that makes it clear that episode 9 was my favoure episode.

Overall Favourite Thing About It

To be honest, it would probably have to be the relationship between Power and Denji. Those two have such a sibling/vitriolic best friends relationship and they're very entertaining together. They probably share one braincell between them, which always makes it exciting because you just never know what's gonna happen when the two of them are on screen together, but you know it's gonna be great.

The things I'd like to say if I died today

Petal 1

First I would like to start by saying that this is not a final goodbye and it’s not a recollection of all the things I would like to say before I turn what little of my sanity I have left over to the angels above. Although I may not be the most mentally stable person, I have no plans to kick the bucket just yet. The purpose of this blog is for me to express myself in a way that I am not able to do ordinarily with people face to face. I am not a writer, this is just a way for me to throw my thoughts out into the open, sort of like a diary; But instead of me hiding it in fear of what may be seen, I'm allowing people to delve into my thoughts. 

Why is each post called a petal? I would like to envision this series of blog posts as the petals falling from a cherry blossom tree. With each petal that has fallen, a new day has ended. These petals will continue to fall until one day they will stop, but that won’t be for a while. So until we reach there please enjoy taking this ride with me day by day.

I believe music is a way to free the mind. Ever since I was little I was told that I should be happy with my life. No matter what, I should be thankful for the sacrifices that my parents have made to provide for my basic needs. I was told “There are people from our homeland that have it worse than you, so being ungrateful would be sinful” and although these were not the exact words that were said,  this is how my brain interpreted it. Because of this mindset, as well as the toxicity in my everyday life; from my family, bullying, the loneliness I felt every day at school, and the self-hatred that I had developed for myself, any kind of emotion in me became numb. I don’t know how to express my deepest desires without feeling like I'm serving my heart on a platter for everyone to stomp on. And although I may seem like a sociable person, it's a mask to hide how incredibly miserable I feel on a daily basis. Now you may ask how this has anything to do with music. Why did I start today's petal like this? In all my life the one thing that has been able to alleviate any of the numbness I had succumbed to was music. 

 I recently listened to a song that really aligned with my train of thought. The song is called Crow (クラス)  by the artist Upiko. The artist really did a good job of expressing the sense of loss that comes with thinking about the meaning of life. The line the rung truest to me was “普通に生きてるって、なぜこんなに難しんだろう.” In English this translates to “Why is it that everyday life is this hard” and I feel EVERYONE at one point in their life has felt like this. 

I’m sure most people know the song “Running into the Night” (夜に駆ける) by YOASOBI. When I first heard the song and listened to the lyrics to go with me it kind of reminded me of people who like to mask their pain with a smile. On the outside, the song sounds super happy and you can dance and sing along to it. But if you look up the meaning of the song, you slowly realize that the meaning of the song isn’t as bright and happy. I know the song got some backlash because of this fact… but I actually think the execution was smart. It kind of shows that mental illness doesn’t only come in the form of sadness and Minor scales. People who seem bright and happy on the outside can be hurting to no end on the inside. I think it should be a standard practice to just never assume something is one way without doing the necessary research.

Aimer is my favourite singer. Ever since I found her while listening to music on YouTube in high school, I have loved every single one of her songs. Every time I listen to one I think “She’s saying the things that I could only wish I was able to express” and to this day I RUN every time I see that she has released a new song. Without her, I don’t know how I would have made it through high school. Her songs have hit a chord in my heart time and time again, and continue to do so. She is my inspiration to continue living my everyday life and she makes the air I breathe just a little bit easier to digest. On days when I feel my worst and I don't know what to do about it, I find myself listening to her words and voice to serenade my quivering soul. It’s safe to say that I don't know if I would be here today without her music. Please do a concert in Canada I’m dying (,,◕　⋏　◕,,)

I guess the thing I would like to say today is thank you. Thank you to all the artists out there who are able to save people from themselves when they are at their worst. Thank you for pouring your heart out and creating these songs that we can resonate with. Thank you for being our biggest inspirations in life and finally thank you for gracing the earth with your presence. I hope you guys are all living your best life and may good health and fortune continue to be with you!

Le nouvel op de Pokemon Horizons, Clairement c'est un glow up rien qu'avec les visuels aussi, il y a des moments où ça me fait penser à l'op souvenir de sxf en terme de composition. Au debut je pensais que c'était Aimer la chanteuse mais non c'est Yama.
