Whew okay so Doll Feelings is out now, it’s obviously my most personal & poetic song…I recorded this track in my home studio while recovering from Covid- a really rough low point for me personally. I hoped that me recording with the irritability & weariness from Covid would amplify my tone in conveying the feeling of being “so over it”. The inspiration for Doll Feelings was really just my experiences with moving through life, especially with PTSD, ADHD, & Persistent Depressive Disorder. This song actually took me the longest to write, because I wanted it to be linear like most of my work, but my experiences aren’t linear. So when I realized that, I was able to complete Doll Feelings. I love that I was able to convey a bit of everything that inspired the track (depressive spoken word, A hypervigilant middle verse, the erratic tone progression, etc..) within a short amount of time. There’s multiple moments where the lyrics are meant to sound like 2 things (caw/call, fit/fix, too many/20). That phonetic ambiguity added another layer of depth to a song I already felt was too deep. I wanted people to feel like they’re inside my head, & I think I executed that well. I hope whoever chooses to listen, enjoys this song🎀🩷🧘🏽‍♀️

vancouver show i went to this weekend to see sophie hunters first ever performance in canada! im such a huge fan of her so it was amazing to see her in person :) before the show i got the sophie hunter hoodie and sticker pack from the merch table!

after sophies set I got to meet her in person at the meet and greet line up. she autographed my boobs 🥰 didnt have any paper lmaooo. the girl before me in line did it first, which gave me the confidence to ask them. the girl behind me followed suite as well. i love woman <333 speaking of, the other cutie in the photos with me is my girlfriend asha, who was so kind to help me get tickets since i have a fear of online shopping.

they emailed the venue instead of getting overcharged buying through ticket master! fuck yeah!! was an expensive night, but ive been going to a lot less shows lately, but in doing so it made tonight feel even more special. rather then going to whatever is on at a venue for multiple times a month and not creating any distinct special memories. idk is interesting. im going back to the school grind soon so thatll be filling up my time more.
